Nice hide!

25-Dec-12
Well, after 6 years and 250 finds it's time to free up this park for others. I have taken great pleasure in reading the posts during winter, knowing that people are going to extraordinary lengtns and risking hypothermia to get this cache.Twisted Thanks for all the finds and hope everyone, especially the short, enjoyed this cache. And a tip ó the hat to those very few gymnastics who managed to reach the cache without getting into the creek.

24-Dec-12
Nope not here

26-Nov-12
No luck for us, other than no water.

18-Nov-12
Did not find. Is it still their? looked with Bananabros. still no cache.

15-Nov-12
No I didn't find it...spent ages looking with "whites in Windsor" and came up empty handed Sad

11-Nov-12
After getting soaked to my waist in Tusmore Park pool with the kids, I was going to attempt this one today as I was already wet!
The still water was a bit smelly in the heat so I sent muggle hubby in to do the dirty work Wink haha! If there weren't massive spider webs hanging from both sides, I MAY have been more brave!

He looked both way and came up empty handed....
After that, I looked at the logs and did not bother going in, and thought if call in a DNF....

Now I'm home though, I do have to wonder....

There are a few DNF's listed, but the logs are so short, there's Jo mention of A or B, didn't find it, or didn't get in to look.... Is it gone? Or should I have looked for myself? [?]

I've heard that Z is quite evil....
I had to chuckle when I saw this one!
Smile what's so evil about a traditional cache?! LOL!

In winter, it would be! Smile

I'll be watching this one for any developments Smile

The geokids loved running around on the grassed areas while we were here, it's a neat little park to use up some energy Smile

06-Nov-12
Looked 4 times. Is it still there?
Bananabro

03-Nov-12
Sadly, couldn't find it. Went with my cousin and both got completely numb. Checked everywhere but under the water. Is it still there?

30-Oct-12
Did waity90 not find the cache……..

A – Because its not there?

B - They didn’t take the plunge and commit to finding it?

The correct answer should be ‘A’

Once again I came up empty handed with this cache, I don’t always get the chance to stop at this lovely location but tonight I made the time.

29-Oct-12
Bummer couldn't find it...

29-Oct-12
Bummer it was a no go today chit wet and all

18-Jul-12

Out caching with my parents on a holiday. They don't cache - just me! Sadly, my Mum is the best cache spotter I've met!!!!!

This time, however, my mother was more than happy to wait for me, and even to pretend she didn't know me, taking the dog few yards away and looking at the scenery.

I followed the advice given, and removed all the necessary articles from my pockets, took off my shoes and socks, rolled up the trousers, and went for it. Unfortunately, being a little shorter than the average, the water was deeper for me, and the trouser ends got wet anyway. Luckily the creek wasn't full.

After finding and signing the cache, and tip-toeing back to a suitable spot to climb out, I managed to get my shoes back on, but not my socks. I refilled my pockets, rolled down the wet trousers, and went to find Mum. She took one look and walked off with the dog. I ended up a few steps behind them all the way home. I am not sure if it was the wet trousers or the squelching sound I was making with my shoes. Stop laughing. Please!

I'm glad they aren't all this difficult!

16-May-12
Found this one with a very brave bon! Decided it deserved a tb. TFTC

16-May-12
Found this one with Lozzie! Yes, it was great, definitely deserved a trackable! So much so that I was left standing in knee deep, numb, while Lozzie went back to the car to grab it! Haha! TFTC I loved it, this is what caching is all about!

15-Apr-12
was happy to sit on the side ans watch Darknstormy fetch this one. TFTC Smile

15-Apr-12
Great cache- had fun getting wet and cold legs!

15-Apr-12
Brrrr.. Freezing in here... but I wasn't going to walk away from it esp when I could see it from the edge.

Deep in the middle but I stuck to the sides... you ripper walked away feeling refreshed after my chilly dip.

14-Apr-12
Fun to watch geo son wade it. Very chilly. Lots of fun. TFTC

31-Mar-12

Found with Roostaman at 1155 on our South Australia odyssey. Thankfully the area was completely uncontaminated with water and trolls which made for a nice easy retrieval.

Thanks Zytheran.Smile

found it, sorry for late logging Sad TFTC

12-Feb-12
Having already tried various contortions and acrobatics to reach this one without getting my feet wet, I came back by car with a pair of gumboots! I didn't even get so much as a drop on my favourite white trousers. TFTC!

07-Feb-12
Cool hiding place! Climbed to it twice while geo-wife was on the phone!!

02-Feb-12
No trolls or water about, but a few muggles slashing and mowing. Thanks Z.

Nice quick find on nice warm arvo. TFTC

02-Jan-12
First attempt August 2010! Too deep and wet. Today "dry as a bone". We did this cache with my Grandma (86 yo) ... she has heard of geocaching, as she has a blind friend back in Warragul how enjoys caching. Two of my three children were in attendance to and there was a nice selection of trinkets. Took a black bouncy ball and left a hot wheels car. Nice little stop of a stinking hot day.

Thanks to Zytheran for the cache.

28-Dec-11
I was hoping to get wet feet this evening, but the river ran dry! No water anywhere. So I didn't need to leave all my stuff in the car after all. BUt I still needed the courage as there were some scarily large R.O.U.S. (rodent of unusual size: see www.imdb.com/title/tt0093779/quotes), defending the cache while the troll was off having Proclamation day celebrations elsewhere.
Thanks Zytheran, I may come back when there is water in here just for the experience.

24-Dec-11
A quick find on the way home from a christmas party around the corner.

SL TFTC!!

03-Dec-11
Mr Tardis had the appropriate clothing, footwear and a towel. For extra terrain stars I carried Toddler Tardis in for the retrevial and replacement.

I'm glad I did it on a 25 degree day - the water wasn't cold - it was FREEZING!

Toddler Tardis had a ball (so did Mr Tardis). Thanks for the fun hide Z.

18-Nov-11
Another busy day geocaching around Adelaide. Found this cache fairly quickly - jolly good fun really! SL TFTC

Reperio at 1610.

This was a really nice little spot to visit today, and the name of the cache soon became apparent. Once at GZ, the cache was quickly located in the usual geocaching spot. Enjoyed visiting this spot.

Gratias Zytheran.

06-Nov-11
Lovely spot, thanx to Don't Panic Arthur's geomum for getting wet for us, lucky it was a nice sunny day.

06-Nov-11
Cache placement was relatively obvious and let geomum handle the retrieval, luckily it was a nice sunny day.

I Will be back when warmer weather and appropriate clothing permits.

20-Aug-11
Um... yeah, cats and water don't mix so well.
Been here before but didn't realize til I got over to it, came in from a different direction last time. Water was raging, nup!
Did I mention Cats don't like water?
Another DRIER day or week or month!

27-Jul-11
Location of cache was just out of (dry) gymnastics range. Water isn't too deep near cache, not past my shorts anyway. I was going to sign log in situ, but 10 seconds later changed my mind.
Nice hide, and it was nice to cool my legs after a LONG day of caching on my bike. I went all the way up to the top of Greenhill road, which, I have to say, is not an easy peddle. Thanks for this!

14-May-11
This was a laugh. Despite the cold I changed into my shorts and waded in. Expecting the water to stay below 2ft I moved in confidently only to find the depth got to oer twice what I expected. A quick actual find of the cache. Thanks Zytheran for a great one!!!

14-May-11
One of the few joys of winter is getting the emails of finds on this cache.
The water is deeper than expected?? No way!! TwistedTwistedTwistedTwisted LOL

03-May-11
Saved this slightly challenging cache for my 600th find on my birthday.
Quickly changed out of my work clothes (at lunchtime) into "swimming" attire (in my car) for the retrieval. Then back into work garb.
Thanks Z for this cache, and for all the work that you put into geocaching for other peoples enjoyment.

29-Apr-11
Found as a part of Team SaintsMadHouse and now that the kids have grown we each have our own accounts to finddd geocaches with separately wherever we go!Found it, send the Geo Friend for the retreive. Muggle was sitting down the far corner having lunch, Hope we looked like we were just getting a dropped kids toy....

29-Apr-11
Found on a lovely morning in Adelaide. With a little bit of determination, you'll get this one Smile

29-Apr-11
lots of laughs for geoteens as they struggled to get to this one....determination!

28-Apr-11
Came here once before but aborted the mission due to the difficulty and being dressed for work not play. Today I returned with the gang and sent the GeoHusband in for the find.....Glad it was him not me that went in for this one....left a TB Caminos Oscuros - a little witch to play with the Trolls. TFTC.

The lengths we got to to get these caches of your Z. Great hide. Would have love to see the original container as I was told it was awesome. Take a look at the pic I have taken to see if I'm keen enough. Thanks fir the cache and thanks for the laugh. Signed fresh new logbook.

10-Apr-11
New black container on site. And as a bonus the recent rains have filled up the creek.

08-Apr-11
Again, I can't not find something that isn't there (I think[?]). It should be good fun when it is there though. Looking forward to finding it.
One day I will find more that 1 in a row... Smile Off to work now.

20-Mar-11
Schade. Es gibt nichts unter der Brücke.
Hope you will replace this cache soon as it was a lovely spot and would be an exciting find under the bridge. We enjoyed the visit to the park anyway on a rainy, Sunday afternoon after a good friend's birthday celebration in the area. Even had to wait a while for two Muggles sitting on a park bench under umbrellas to move on. We moved on before they did and returned later after doing some other caches. Noticed when we went to log our attempt it was an archived cache but for some reason didn't see that when we down-loaded it to the GPS. Good to know that it is not there as hate it when they are there and we just can't find them. Just wanted to let you know we liked where you had hidden it when it was there. TY

24-Dec-10
Hmmm, gone again. Next container will be smaller and blacker.

24-Dec-10
Great day to cool off with a paddle in the creek.
Cleared lots of spider webs and dirt but no cache, even used phone to take photos of big cavity to be able to look around corners in case cache was way out of sight and reach.

20-Dec-10
In the company of a Muggle family that enjoys taking me out caching for the thrill.
Yeah......NAH!!
Too much water running underneath, not willing to get cold and wet, not at all!
The muggle friends took quite some convincing to abandon this one as they thought this a grand cache and kept trying to get at it from various angles, all of which I forsaw disaster!!
I hung over the side with a looong stick and banged under all the holes my vantage point could allow to no avail!
Another DRIER day perhaps!

10-Dec-10
Visited but decided to wait for drier conditions.

04-Dec-10
Wow! Wasn't this great! I've been making my way around Adelaide on a bike on a hot day, and here pops this cache. Just in time to cool me down and make everything a little more pleasant for at least a little while! The highlight of my morning, that is for sure!

Cheers

04-Dec-10
The creek was still running. Had shorts on, took off shoes and socks and waded in - under-estimated the depth and my shorts got well and truly wet.... Found the cache though. TFTC

05-Nov-10
Nice hide. Removed boots and socks and managed to retrieve the treasure chest without incident. Troll was out so didn't see him. There isn't a logbook in there just a few odd scraps of paper. TFTC (and the fun of retrieval)

22-Oct-10
Found while with SparkyDude, we knew where this one was but the rain made it look hazardous. Mr Fluffy soon had the cache in hand after an interesting approach to get the cache. yes Z we got pictures this time. =D Cache returned safe and dry, Mr Fluffy returned... Not so dry.

Thank you for the cache

Was out and about in the area for work and thought I would take a look for this one, however as I was dressed for work it would have been hard to explain if I returned to the office wet from the waist down so decided to leave it for another day but I know exactly where this sneaky one is - I'll be back - be fore-warned Trolls, be afraid be very afraid I'm coming to get ya.

09-Oct-10
Nice park, cute cache. Having 2 people made retrevial much easier Cool TFTC

08-Oct-10
Really hard to get coz the water was high but luckily dad could get it. Nice spot and good hide.

07-Aug-10
Definitely a summertime cache!

01-Aug-10
I am pretty sure we know where this one lives, but my bravery deserted me ... didnt feel like taking my shoes and socks off on such a cold wet day! Smile next time (in summer maybe)

26-Apr-10
A wee spot of fam'ly hunting
We thought trolls - or spiders - we'd spring
Dad got his legs chilled
Wills & Steph were quite thrilled
No log book - I signed any old thing

TFTC - no spiders in sight. Or trol... ...aaaaaarrrrrgh!

09-Mar-10
This was the second trip to GZ.
First time a few weeks back there were 5/6 female school waggers so I thought discretion the better part etc and legged it away.
Today, dressed in pub lunch finery, there was no way I was going to get my new Crocs THAT wet!
Maybe another day.

08-Mar-10
Well, that looks like where it most likely would be. Hmmm, which side? Mr TiedyeSmileys sticks his head down for a quick look and sees there is better footing on the other side. Mrs TiedyeSmileys decides to be adventurous and heads down. After one look at the webs, back she comes. Mr TiedyeSmileys goes down and sticks his head in and was right, that was too easy, it wasn't on that side. Arising like someone who just walked through the movie set of arachnophobia, he went over to the other more difficult side and soon has the cache in hand.

Took cobwebs, left signature sticker.

TFTC

21-Feb-10
Found with Geowife on a Sunday run east of the city.
Nice hide in nice park. Webs galore but warrior came through.

12-Feb-10
Probably wasn't the smartest idea coming the day after rain but the more challenging terrain made it all the more worthwhile!
The cobwebs were thick, and there were spiders aplenty!

Big GrinBig GrinBig GrinSmile YEAH! 350! One of the 108 finds during our ‘Adelaide Assault’ with Wessarah. Thanks to our galant knight who took the plunge and got wet for his fair damsels. A great day’s adventure, lots of fun– but tired the next day. TFTC

14-Jan-10
There once was a cache that was great,
It was found with Josan08
Our Adelaide Assualt,
Was such a success,
We finished with 108!!!!

TFTC - Lucky we brought a Knight along with us!!!!

11-Jan-10
Cache container replaced with another treasure chest. Logbook replaced too.
Try to keep Geocache out of site during summer when muggles abound.
It was also interesting to notice the erosion in the creek bed since the cache was placed 3 1/2 years ago.
Gee, that water must get deep when it's there..Twisted

07-Jan-10
Container gone just a log book

07-Jan-10
Log book only no container. TFTCSL

Nice cache, fun to find. Log book full. TFTC

easy grab today even kept our feet dry unlike some of our friends

15-Dec-09
Holy awesomeness Batman! Johnrkennedy and I felt like pirates recovering the booty. Great cache, awesome location. Got my feet wet, but it was such a hot day, it was refreshing. Construction guys across the street didn't notice. Muggles walking around a lot, but think we fooled them. Swapped out a cute green owl for some US coins and a stamp.

08-Dec-09
Was in a nice possition

05-Dec-09
You need a new log book

With this one i got my feet soaked but it was a quick find

29-Nov-09
Of course I did this on one of the odd rainy days we've been having! But water is no match for me today! Ha! Nice container....TFTC

#283: 22 of 39 found with JezzzaXtreme and linFox on our geocaching trip to Adelaide.
This one had us stumped for several seconds. Once spotted, linFox had a go at retrieving the container but failed. JezzzaXtreme ended reaching it on his second attempt. Unlike several of the other recent finders, when we got there the dam had about knee height water.

25-Nov-09
Found with linFox and rubai on our quick trip to Adelaide.

After 'finding' the cache, we just had to get the cache. Not keen on getting wet in any fashion we tried a few crazy maneuvers before I finally managed to grab the cache. Definately a challenge getting this one, and what a cool container.

Thanks, Jezzza Xtreme.
