Found while having a look around the area today on the way to William Creek for lunch. Interesting spot to pull off for a cache. Quick find and all good here, cheers.Find #7016 on 16 Jul 2024.TFTC Mac & Missus!
I like these places, out of the way. Always something to discover. The cache was found easily while being careful...Thank you for the placement .Greetings - pilot03 #4525

What an awesome place. Spent way too much time looking about the ruins and almost forgot to find the cache.TFTC Mac & MissusFind 7556 logged from cgeo:
Team Crackers, Micaparamedic, Papi4506 and I are heading back to Melbourne slowly. We are enjoying going to new places (for us anyway) and finding some caches as we go.All the others had logged this one from previous visits and although I had been here, for some reason I hadn't logged it. Made sure to put my name in the log again so that I can log it this visit. I love old caches so not sure what happened. Thanks for placing this cache and maintaining it so long.
Another day on the Oodnadatta track. Wished we had camped close by last night as the birds around the water would have been good to see.
A nice quick find

Didn't expect to see a little lake of water in the middle of the desert. It was really cool to experience a place like this.

This isn't a boring place. There is much to see and explore. Getting back in time and think about the old days when there were actual people getting a cup of coffee here. Found the cache quickly and luckily there was no stingy animal in site. TFTC
After spending the night at Coward Springs we were underway drinking our fresh coffee and eating dates. Yes, we got them at CowRd Springs and can recommend. Anyway, pointed towards William Creek we stopped in at the Beresford Siding, oh yeah, that's right, I had a cache saved for here. Malipara's eagle eye had the cache spotted from a distance. Quickly logged, we're on our way, TFTC.
A quick find for EvilQueen while Mister Evil made a cuppa for us. I was a bit wary of bitey things but soon got over it. Cleaned the cache out of broken pens and garbage and put log in a new plastic bag. All signed and dropped a little swap. TFTC
Great spot where we spent quite a bit of time. Had a LOT of company for a while too. And that wetland! Was amazing ….
Found with Sea eagle on our “mid” adventure through the middle of the state. What could go wrong? SpidermonkeysGrandMums health suddenly declined, 3 out of 4 of us had been sick (not covid luckily but many tests have been required and results transcribed between towns and phone coverage) left the monkey home not well, farina bakery was closed due to covid and was the highlight of the beginning of our trip, the backup battery decided to die. So, we don’t know really how far we can go and taking each day, one at a time.
Overnighted at Port Augusta (just to get out of the house early) , two nights camping at Farina, (frosty!) two camping at coward Springs and then two at William creek (hotel room and hopefully a scenic flight)
The skies have been amazing at night and the sunsets fantastic. We haven’t been able to find all the caches en route due to the drivers demands but we selected some old and 360 degree from home special ones. Nothing wrong with leaving a few for “next time” either.
Thank you for placing it for us to find. Thank you for contributing to the geo map and maintaining when required. TFTC

Found with SpidermonkeysMum on our trip along the Old Ghan Railway Heritage Trail from Quorn to Finke, Lamberts Centre then back along the Stuart Highway. Had a great trip, stopping often for caches/coffee/camping. Weather was very sunny during the day, freezing at night but I love a good campfire. Thanks for the reason to stop.
Found on a trip to Parachilna Gorge, Marree, Muloorina Station, William Creek, Lake Cadibarrawirracanna, Coober Pedy and back home down the Stuart Highway. I must have driven past here many times over the years but for some reason have not had the chance to stop for a search. Great to finally cross this off the list, especially being one of the early caches. Thanks for the cache Mac & Missus!
Found on yet another trip without crossing borders. Like many others overseas trips are on hold. Even interstate is hard to plan. So we are taking the time to explore and re-explore our home state of South Australia.
This trip is take 2 as our first attempt was clobbered 2 days in by a sudden lockdown meaning we had to turn back home again. Two weeks later and the geohounds are back at puppy holiday camp. Our plan is Hummocks Station, Willow Waters Gorge (brilliant!), Farina, and then the Oodnadatta Track to Algebuckina Bridge, then through to Eringa Waterhole and then on to Mt Dare. After that the likely path (assuming the NT border is open) is via Finke to Lambert’s Centre of Australia and then we turned back south. We also took a side trip to see Lake Caddibarrawirracanna. We hope to find a few caches along the way and maybe hide a few as well. We are certainly having fun so far.
It is time to go back and actually log on line those caches for which we have only submitted draft logs. As our drafts have hit well over 200 we need to work through them.
While we may no longer remember the specifics of each event we are pretty sure we met and spoke with the usual subjects, and drank coffee, and chatted about geocaching and other stuff. We also quite possibly shared some hints about one or more of our own puzzles as we do get asked about these from time to time
As far as physical caches are concerned we remember all the puzzles, although some are harder than others [;] and mostly the hides.
As far as trads and multis are concerned we most often pick these up while traveling or at least while we are out and about for other reasons. Nearly always a bit of fun and good to break up a long trip.
TFTC yet again Mac & Missus

As Wetjala said, lots of red dust around, thankfully the windows were up after his little 'play' in the bulldust, .......bet he won't do that again. Found the cache thankfully.

I missed the turn off track when approaching this one from the south along the Oodnadatta Trk so decided to head off cross country through the red sand until I regained the track. Bad, bad move! The red sand had a soft bulldust-like quality that was intent on burying both the car and camper, all six tonnes, if I dared to back off the throttle which, fortunately, I didn't. A quick stab with the finger at the centre diff-lock button, a few twists and turns of the steering wheel that threw up so much red dust onto the windscreen that I couldn't even see the snorkel and within what felt like hours but was probably no more then a minute or two I was able extricate ourselves from the sandy quagmire to regain the offshoot track and continue onto the GZ. I reckon I'll be getting quite a bit of red dust out of the air filter later today!

[@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I travelled to the Northern Territory from Adelaide for a 2.5 weeks road trip holiday. We took my jeep through Port Augusta, Woomera, Roxby Downs, Andamooka, and then drove the Oodnadatta Track via Coward Springs, William Creek (including a Lake Eyre scenic flight), Oodnadatta, and Marla. It was then onwards to visit Uluru (Ayers Rock), Kata Tju?a (Olgas), Kings Canyon, and then drove the Red Centre Way aka. Mereenie Loop Road to see the Tjoritja (West MacDonell Ranges), calling in to see the various highlights. We then stayed a few nights in Alice Springs, and included a day trip to see the East MacDonell Ranges. It was then time to turn around to head to South Australia, and in doing so, we visited the Palm Valley, and made the 4WD detour through Owen Springs Reserve (an excellent shortcut that wasn’t too technically difficult), calling into the Henbury Craters, and the Lambert Centre of Australia. Our final stop was Coober Pedy, and we really enjoyed checking out the various dugouts and mines.
Today, we continued our outback trip travelling from Coward Springs along the Oodnadatta Track to Oodnadatta. It was an early morning start as we visited the nearby hidden gravestones, and arrived at William Creek to take a scenic flight across Lake Eyre. Once we participated in that adventure, we also decided to drive the long route to Lake Eyre to feel it with our hands itself, but the army of flies forced us back in the Jeep, and on our way. After all those corrugations, the main Oodnadatta Track felt like a nice freeway as it was a slow journey to our evening stay.
Although we thought we had left early to avoid the tourists, this place had quite a few people here when we rocked up, including a few that had climbed up to the top. It was a quick find, with the cache container and logbook in good shape. We had to be on our way as we had a flight to catch. Thanks Mac & Missus for placing this cache, and its ongoing maintenance.

@Davidwazza and I travelled to the Northern Territory from Adelaide for a 2.5 weeks road trip holiday in the infamous black jeep. We took a route through Port Augusta, Woomera, Roxby Downs, Andamooka, and then drove the Oodnadatta Track via Coward Springs, William Creek (including a Lake Eyre scenic flight), Oodnadatta, and Marla. We then stayed a few nights in Alice Springs, and included a day trip to see the East MacDonell Ranges, before heading home in a more direct route through Palm Valley, Owen Springs Reserve, Henbury Craters, and the Lambert Centre of Australia, and finally Coober Pedy.
Today, we continued our trip, from Coward springs, along the Oodandatta track. We started early, getting to William Creek for a scenic flight across Lake Eyre. We continued along to our next stop, the Pink Road House in Oodnadatta!

We are on a 4wd/camping holiday from Adelaide to Alice Springs.
We are following the Old Ghan Railway as much as possible.
It has been interesting seeing the history of the out back and caching as we go.

Travelling the Oodnadatta track on this part of my great trip up the middle with a couple of muggle friends.
Just picking up random caches while I can without upsetting them to much.
A quick detour off the track to get to this one.
I have been here before so a quick search soon had the cache in hand.

Interesting piece of history along this track, sad to see nature taking its toll but worse to see the graffiti and rubbish left by the so called humans. TFTC
Sorry about the late log. Lots of memories from a trip 30 years ago before the bores were capped. TFTC
Continuing our trip up the Oodnadatta Track collecting all the caches along the way. The caches are all in fantastic spots so everyone is worth the visit. We like exploring the ruins that are more intact. These have survived a little better than others so where interesting to look around.
I visited here 10 years ago and logged a DNF. Happy to rectify that today with a find, I just needed a long stick to extract it.

Nice old siding which is still in remarkable condition. We fossicked around and explored the area for a while. Came across the big dam, which was full of bird life. Very interesting spot and would have been a great camp site if it was later in the day. TFTC
Yes, another cache, where I had to log a DNF last time. Today - exactly six years later - I came saw and made the grab pretty quickly. This is a very interesting location.
We (four German friends) met some people from Austria here (mugglers), heading west.
Later on we went on our way heading Marree

Found this on the 21st September whilst traveling the outback. Hesitant to put hands in to find cache.
Stopped here for lunch while heading south on the Oodnadatta track. A nice bit of birdlife on the dam. Thanks Mac & Missus for the cache.
Nothing boring about Beresford. We really enjoyed our
time here and checked out the old building and had a
great walk around the dam. It is a great camping spot
and we stayed for a night. The remains of the dam wall
and the bird life were an added extra which we did not
expect. Found the cache, signed the log and safely
returned the container as we found it.
Thanks Mac & Missus for hiding a cache here.

A stop and a cache while driving the iconic Oodnadatta Track during our trip across Australia, great experience! Thank you placing it there. Mac & Missus. TNLNSL. Apologies for the late log.
TFTC Thank you for going to the effort of hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity.
Got log and signed it but then had to wait out muggles to return cache to its spot. Oh well it gave us good opportunity to look at buildings tftc
Sorry for the late log ! Found this as we slowly made our way back home after the Red Centre Event via Coober Pedy and the the William Creek Rd and Oodnadatta Track.. We loved the country out here and the chance to stop for a few smileys give us a way to explore, stretch the legs and top up the coffee cup !
An interesting ruin and bore. We drove in off the road and parked up near the building, before going for a wander around. It would have been such a different place when it was all active. Great to see that the ruins are still in pretty decent condition and obviously being used to shelter travellers still. Would be nice if people didn't feel the need to leave rubbish, but at least they haven't wrecked the fabric of the place.
