Beautiful walk up Mt Taylor with the faithful hound. GZ was spot on but yelled and pulled hand back on texture thinking it was reptilian skin at first. Extra relieved it was the target cache with no bites. TFTC Tankengine!
It really was a gorgeous night for a walk. I spent a bit of time on the summit, taking photos. I was also texting my siblings in Melbourne as we solved a long-standing family mystery The sun had well-and-truly set by the time I started back down the hill. But I knew that the path was paved all the way, and there was plenty of moonlight. Gosh, it was a lovely night out Thanks for putting geocaches up here to keep me motivated, Tankengine
Decided on a walk to the top of Taylor with geopartner this morning, before it hits 35 degrees. Quick find. TFTC TE
Visiting from Adelaide to see family for the festive season, and today its time to tackle more caches in the Mt Taylor area including the Adventure Lab, some puzzles solved in 2021 that I havent had a chance to get to and some challenging multis. Found this cache and signed the log. Many thanks for the placement and the ongoing maintenance!Always enjoy a summit cache, and nice to find a personalised cache too.
Woo hoo to this Golden oldie find, the last of my 2006 year I need for my grid..at GZ I went straight for the cache. But l didn't search well enough.... looked elsewhere else before returning for a more thorough Investigation...Woo hoo or should I say Choo Choo .. big thankyou for the pathtag. Fav for location, maintenance and for keeping the oldies alive well worth the steep walk up.
Nice spot, cache hide shared by what I hope was a lizard- 15-20 cm from cache under the same rock. TFTC
Theres a wallaby keeping watch over this cache but she let me log it. Lovely walk up Mt Taylor in the sunshine today. TFTC, which took me a few moments to find. Its well hidden under and behind a hint object.
Was up here today for an early mornin' climb with a nearby T4 bush bash so I decided to grab the trig while I was up this far for my first trip to Mt Taylor. I also made an impromptu visit to this cache whilst scanning Cachly. At first I thought it was the thingy in the tree but on closer inspection that was definitely not it so I tried again somewhere slightly different and spotted the well hidden cache whose logbook now has our name residing. TFTC, Tankengine.#1656
What a nice cache! Tucked away nicely, I almost felt like there was a rocky carpet on the way it it.
Thanks for the cache!
Thanks for the cache!
Found quite some time ago as team 4as1 just forgot to online log afterwards signed the physical log
Last minute decision for a drive to Canberra. Left last night after work and slept in the car near Ginninderra. This morning a few quick caches and then a Parkrun. Weather better then last night luckily. After the run slowly worked my way to central and also started to pick up some adventure labs.

Well hidden but quickly spotted by Just_Jess! Left a red unicorn and now it's time to head home. TFTC
Nice find! Lots of bugs and webs but such a cute private spot! Thanks for the provided pencel as I forgotten mine!
What a cold foggy day today. Found after visiting the trig and quick search near by while the rest of the group had a rest. Nice hide. SL. TFTC
Scaled to the top of Mr Taylor to complete a stage of the Canberra FM AL. While at the top had a check for nearby caches and spotted this one not too far away. I was hopeful of a pen in the cache having left mine far below and was glad to be greeted by a pencil.
Thanks again TE. My first time ever up here. What a great view!

Found it sitting on top of a rock and filled with kangaroo pop. Pencil and notepad intact. Cache returned to hiding spot and rock placed over entrance.
Damn. Forgot my pencil. Decided for a quick walk from Torrens up. Got heart racer. Cache was a bonus
Out for my Wednesday after work constitutional to regain fitness after knee replacement surgery.

Found after a few minutes of searching on a lovely winter's day ramble around Mt Taylor. Thank you!
Hey there. Dadda, M and RB found you! Some good memories from many years ago.
Should have trusted first instinct but instead spent 5 mins following hoppy GPS around the place. TFTC.

The start of clearing Mount Taylor happened today. Using the advantage of a public holiday. We spent around 4 hours walking up and down the mountain. Until we had to stop.
Great views from the top. Not much to say here. Cache was found quickly without any trouble. But will be showing others this hill!
Thanks So Much Tankengine!!!

Neat hide! Had to poke around for a bit before we found it on today’s #coronacaching walk. We forgot our pen sadly (it’s clearly in the pocket of Vandahar’s other pants) so took a photo of the eldest Geokid with the log. Tftc!
Thanks for my 2nd Tankengine cache (& 3rd overall Canberra cache).
Visiting the folks for Christmas and decided to walk off some of the festive feasting
No in my pockets (am exploring some of my childhood stomping grounds, so have taken pic with my watch (still set at Qld time)

Finally summer is back, so it seemed like a good idea to climb a mountain, and earn some caches. So we grabbed the hound, jumped in the car, and headed over to Mt Taylor. It's been a while since I've been here, and I'd forgotten about how steep it can be in places - but today I was surely reminded.
The top at last, and the cache was quickly located and the log signed, then it was time to sit for a while and enjoy the views - and, given that there was a bit of a sunday afternoon muggle crowd at the main lookout, it was great to have some space to ourselves to just sit and enjoy.
Afterwards, we headed over the dog water bowl for the hound to take a drink - cos it was kinda hot climbing that mountain.
This is cache number 13 my goal of finding 500 Tankengine caches, which put's Tankengine in
second for the most caches of a particular cacher that I've found - but, still, a loooong way to go to 500.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache Tankengine.

A fun day climbing up and down and around Mt. Taylor with Joolay, MinnieK, GLISS!, Fitzy_1965, and Tank engine (who came along for the walk, to check his caches).
TFTC - I have already found this one, but quite happy to come here again, for a visit, because I like wandering around up on My Taylor (I used to live in Kambah once upon a time, and I sometimes walked up here (straight up the side facing West) while my Daughter was at pre school, then scrambled back down to go and collect her

Today was the day to tackle Mt Taylor. I had done a few on the other side but now for the main lot. In the company of MinnieK, GLISS, Fitzy_1965 (who already has most of them), Aykayam and Tankengine (who joined for the walk and to check on his caches) we set out up the hill.
The views up here are amazing and a whole different outlook of Canberra. The sun was shining, the breeze was pretty nippy but the company was great. Cache was not too difficult to find and soon found, signed and returned. Thanks for getting us out and about TE.

Found with minniek, aykayem and Joolay. Yay to getting to the top. TFTC tankengine.
