The original GZ would have been just above the high tide - ubfortunately the stump itself seems to have broken apart meaning the cache would have fallen down lower than when I placed it and hence it was just on the tide line - another flood victim.[:(!] That makes 6 gone in the floods fro me.
Spent quite a while hunting around but to no avail. I think there has been a lot of water through here recently but wasn't sure whether GZ was below or above the high water mark. On the way out spotted some shoe prints in the mud at the creek's edge - were these from the last finder or the owner. Not the usual place for a muggle to be wandering. Enjoyed this little piece of urban forest. TFTC
Easy find I thought. Terran was very exciting. It was a little uncovered so we mad sure it can not be seen by passing muggles.
ARGH!!! Ya did it to me again.. Sent me bush bashing and creek hopping!!! Co-ords dead on!! Of course I found the easier way out

How to cross the creek was an interresting problem to solve, chose badly for first crossing, found a better crossing to get back. Great work on the history lesson ruzzelz, the photo of the bridge is amazing.

We found a way to GZ from the bike path, but had to use the clue to find the cache,as there was nothing that resembled the clue near GZ. Tried a couple of what looked like the clue and found the cache at the 2nd one (about 10 metres away from GZ). Tree cover may have been the problem. TNLN TFTC.
Searched for about 40mins, no luck sadly. Lots of large trees around and bunches of leaves to hind under.
Got badly scratched at least.

Found it at 15:40. Having read the logs we thought we'd be smart and go to the other side. Well we do geocaching for the exercise and we got plenty walking right round. Took Butterfly TB. Left Geocoin club coin and crocheted hair pin. We emptied a few drops of water but no harm done. Thanks Ruzzelz.
Well started wrong side of creek but found it easily anyway.
Took out travelbug in and put in the beautiful butterflies.

Two of the mysteries of the universe...why do ferals always leave their cr@p around quiet creek spots, & why do I ALWAYS start on the wrong side of the creek?

No 69 of 205 on the weekend caching spree in Brisbane with The Rats and Big Matt & Shell.
The old GCW96W! As we stayed nearby this was the centrepoint of our caching adventures in Brisbane. Didn't take too long even in the darkness as we were able to drive quite close. TFTC!

In Brissy for a caching blitz with Steeba and Big Matt. Our closest cache from our van park. Thanks
Found on the Brisbane Caching Invasion with Steeba and The Rats. A quick find behind the caravan park we were staying in.

Found with geowife, street directory, GPSr and some hazy recollections of 30 years ago. We thought we might walk from the carwash originally. Glad we got over that bit of sillyness . Pleasant walk to the cache and an easy find. TN/LN/SL. While there we were serenaded by six kookaburras. They were in fine form and we sat and listened as thrilled as any overseas visitor would be. Don't you just love geocaching? [^]
Found with geohusband after a pleasant walk through the bush and across the creek. TFTC
Like ADV say, rough in there, failed at night, easy by day, coming to the end of our trip, thanks for all your caches.

Closest cache to where we were staying but took a whole week to get around to the find. Pleased we did it in daylight rather than our earlier plan of a night visit, fairly rough in there.

640 Had to try for this one as we're staying at the caravan park nearby. Most enjoyable cache both times. The first to snaffle the cache, the second time to retrieve the glasses I had dropped. It's nice when you find the first hunt for the day. TFTC ruzzelz
I could almost let my mind wander here to a time before the felling started [almost]. Very nice spot. SL. Thanks Ruzzelz.
It was an easy find today in daylight. Not sure why we struggled so much last time we came to visit. It just seemed an obvious place to look today. Must be the day for finding caches in places we needed to revisit. TNLNSL. TFTC.
Find 2 of 11 for the day out caching with the family. Totalube followed me to this one and we found it together quite easily. TNLN, TFTC.
strong-arm knew the way to the closest street, so I followed him. We found this after a short walk and almost a fall in the creek (strong-arm did say to be careful)

Another bush bash. Found after a few minutes circling. Wondering about the sense in going bush in snake country. Is that a concern with all the long grass in a secluded spot by a creek? TFTC
Nice quick find at 0850hrs after negotiating the obstacle course to get there. I really do hate those face height spiderwebs that you see at the last second!

I came the long way to this one, like many others.
I passed the kids hideout and jumped the gurgling creek, using the well placed tyre.....once, twice and just to be sure a third time.....where'o'where is it to be found....oh over there.
Thanks for the fun. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. TNLN
I was surprised to find so much vegetation in the area. It didn't make for an easy search. Neither did the approaching darkness. [We searched for a while around many large trees - especially the largest gum] but no luck today. Maybe another day when there is more daylight. TFTH.
I was here on January 28th ( I think I worte 29th in the log).
Now I'm sure I logged this at the time, so not sure why it isn't liasted for me now. Oh well.

#2 of 32 finds in Brisbane on day one of a big weekend's caching, in company with The Garner Family and HawMorFords. I found this one at 1040. I passed a wooden crate on the way to the cache, and I wondered why it was there, and how it got there. As to why: it was a cubby house of some sort. As to how, it's still a mystery. The cache was an easy find after a short search. I made no exchange. Thanks to ruzzelz for the cache. Cheers, dak.
Found with Tonino, Mrs & littleun. Easy find, especially with the dry creek making it accessible from either side.

Finally found the closest entry - and saw a couple of people get into a car parked right opposite. They then left. Took their spot thinking they might be cachers (who else would go for a walk at this time of the day) and headed off for a fairly quick find. I saw my suspicions confirmed when I found aandm's log, dated today. Was wondering if I might run into them again...at Livistona Junction. TFTC
Maryan located this one while I wandered around in circles. Cache was in good condition. TFTC Andrew and Maryan.

After approaching from the wrong way, we managed to find a way in at last, but I was really really glad I had a companion to help me get to the cache. Tricky access - and the day after rain probably isn't the most highly recommended for this one. Found it safe and well, TFTC. ='.'=
Ooh a bit slippery in here today after last night's rain. We both managed to keep our feet dry though. Looks like a popular haunt with the local kids making cubbies and rafts. Found the cache safe and dry.
Found at 1402 with Brian the Explorer. Luckily we brought some airogard. Mozzies everywhere.
Third cache with caughtatwork on his last day in Brissy. As the first 2 sites were in open parks, I didn't realise we hadn't applied the Aeroguard today, until well after nearing GZ. OMG!!! I ran back out, & left Mr Mini & caughtatwork to bravely carry on.
Mosquito total after 2 days caching-16 bites!!!
Score: Me...nil. Mozzies...full!

Too busy to take note of the time as I was otherwise occupied by poor GPS coverage and mosquitoes big enough to carry away the QE2.
Eventually came across the cache after decrypting the hint, then wondering which one was big enough.
Took nothing, left ball and frog..

Found after some bimbling about due to dodgy GPSr reception. This was after dropping a shoe in a creek crossing on the way in! But I still had a thoroughly good time. TNLN TFTC.
PS I managed to drop a new notebook in, due to reading the previous one was full. It didn't fit properly so I had to tear it in half, but it should suffice for the time being.

This cache was find number 79 of 102 finds I did with Dtay for our record attempt on Saturday 18 November 2006.
We were here at 17:37 hours.
We weaved our way through some carparks to find ourselves next to this little patch of bush. Took us a few minutes to find it, but find it we did, logged our visit and then took the long way to GES travel bug motel.

Found by Sunshine Toledo and again my 2nd try. With lots of trees and heavy cloud cover it was bloodhound stuff only if I was going to find this one. Someone has been into the trees and bored holes it many of them and put red poison into the holes. I think I saw the fellow who came out just before I went in. He left his red stained kitchen gloves in there. It will be interesting to see how many trees die; many of them large mature trees. Anyway after a long search success came my way as I was looking for something different. TNLNSL and got out of there. TFTC
An easy find and after doing the cache we visited the nearby caravan park in case we needed it on a future visit. Thanks for the cache.
GPS took me down into the creek where I expected coverage to be poor. Just thought like a geocacher and had it in my hands within minutes. TFTC
Good to see the local kids have made good use of some of the rubbish and created a bridge and a fort. Luckily they weren't at play and after jumping about like my GPS I managed a find. TFTC
Brizzy has some lovely parks, open space and creek side walks, but this ain't one of them. A case of 'out of sight, out of mind' with rubbish and junk overflowing from the commercial premises. An easy find the mozzies led the way. ruzzelz might drop off another log book next time he goes past. Thanks for the cache.
This one took a while, tried coming from the North first but met much water, then trekked in from the East, would've been easier from the South. Nice hide. TNLN. TFTH.

Livistonia Creek Found at 1.00pm Pretty easy find. Looks like the local council is doing some weed eratication around the cache site, either that or the plants around here come precut and poisioned. This is my 100th cache found. And during a most successful extended weekend of caching.

We almost had to tackle this one without notes, but fortunately Bedmaker muggled us at the previous cache and kindly let us read the notes he was carrying for this one.
'Twas an easy find in the end. The GPS reception wasn't too bad actually, putting us within a few metres of the cache.
Took a superball and left a badge. SL. Thanks for the cache, and thanks Bedmaker for the assistance!

Well this certainly is an area that prompts mixed emotions. It is really pretty but with the water in the creek being so low, all of the rubbish that has accumulated over the years is exposed - yuck! Once we do get some rain and the creek starts flowing though I can imagine this would be a popular little area for kids to come and play around it. Regardless of its state today though, the kids still enjoyed it.
With the GPS sending me left, then right, then left I just read the clue & then headed in the general direction I was being sent at the time & had the cache in hand shortly after (quite cleverly hidden).

At times like this it always pays to look around and not at the pesky little arrow on the GPS that loves sending me around in circles [:(!]

An interesting cache. It took longer than I thought to find due to the GPS not being able to make up it's mind due to the tree cover. Came at it from the wrong side of the creek...luckily I had some good boots on as the scrub got a bit thick. TNLNSL TFTC
