Lovely view scaled rock face to gun tree but no luck searched everywhere around and under gum tree and all around rock face under it.no luck this time.mayb next time if I walk up here ever again
Big fat DNF for me, unfortunately, despite battling against fear of heights and bloody hot weather. Looked all over the obvious tree, including under roots and found a few likely hiding holes, yet no cache.
Thankfully this is a gorge-ous swimming hole to visit and swim at, so the long walk in and out was not a total loss.

The better half came up with the idea of a trek here after some instainspitration, knowing that there was a cache in the spot I happily encouraged her.
The walk in was sweaty and finally spotting the swimming hole was a good reward in it self.
Played around in the lower pools for a while, tried the jumps and slides and just enjoyed the not so cold fresh water.
Then the search begun, not much water at the crossing, ankle deep or so.
The Great Gum was easy to spot, the walk there not too bad. Would I be able to find the cache after 3 year with no finds? having read up on old logs I begun my search on the lower side of the giant. Surprisingly soon I found a pair of ziplock backs with remains on a cache in them.
Placed a 750ml sistema with a waterproof logsheet and a pencil and took the rubbish home.
The spot is absolutely fabulous, out of this works, several waterfalls into a pool.
A few other swimmers about today, jumping of cliffs and flying drones.
The coordinates was not the best, suggest S17 11.385 E145 49.416
Thanks for a great cache, FP of course

After the long stroll along the gorge we got to the beautiful waterfalls. While cooling down in the water we figured where the cache might be hidden. And we were right - cache was in hands after a few minutes.

During our holidays spent in Australia we visited Behana Gorge. We had a delay due to flight and car rental and we reached the waterfall at the late evening. Fortunately no one was there so we could climb to the cache without any audience. And man, it was a tough one, definitely, this one is not terrain 2. There was awesome view to the gorge from the place where the cache was hidden. We love this place and would like to stay here forever. Greetings from Czech Republic. TFTC!

Now is a good time to find this one if you don't want to get too wet (feet only). Needs a replacement log. Enjoy!
We did search for this treasure despite the history of DNF's. if the owner is no longer about, we would be happy to take this one over. Will make contact with the owner.
found on a training day up the gorge, forgot to log it
can nearly walk across at the moment

negotiated the walk ok, located the correct tree but the young couple frolicking naked in the swimming hole left us with a dilema -

By the time we finally reached the pool, that water looked divine! It was a hot, sweaty walk up here, and the deliciously cool water was exactly what we needed. After an hour or so, I went up to retrieve the cache. I would say that the terrain is definitely under-rated! It was quite the adventure getting to the cache. But I found it and it is in fine shape. The contents are no longer sodden. Thanks for a good challenge!
Brahms6 found this one with Wazza& Kara.
What a trek, Sherpa Wazza led the way in and I struggled a long behind taking frequent rest stops. We eventually found the sight and the intrepid sherpa made some noise that sounded like truck but realy meant that Brahms6 was doing the swimming and climbing.
I took of the walking boots put on my faithfull volleys dropped the trousers and looking elegent in my boxers headed in. The first thing I noticed was that my testicles had migrated up behind my ears as the water was FFFFFreezing. The swim over was bracing to say the least and the current was just enough to make me wary of missing my land fall.
I climbed out onto the rocks took two steps and fell backwards into the water. On the second attempt I made a better hash of finding my feet. (the shot from behind photos that Wazza took do not show me in a very good light).
A very cautous ascent was made and I did get very nervous when at one stage I only had one point of contact on the rockface. But I made it. I replaced the lid on the cache and put it in a large clipseal bag. (I left a jar and a second bag there for future visitors if required Signed the log and headed down.
Much easier getting down as my bottom end had a fair grip on the rocks. On exiting the water there was a brief moment of nudity whilst I dried off and got into dry clothes (not that it mattered because the cold water had removed any chance that someone may see something untoward).
The walk back was much easier Sherpa Wazza came to the fore again and carried the bag with the wet shoes etc, and a hot shower at home restored essential anatomoy to the correct position.
Do not try this cache alone take a buddy who at the very least knows how to call 000.
Thanks for the cache it was hard work but I am pleased that I did it. It gets a favourite from me SLTNLN tFTC

After having located Noela's Nook several weeks previous, Brahms6 and I returned to attempt this cache.
While the walk in is along a concrete path it is predominantly uphill most of the way, with some steeper climbs as you get closer to the GZ.
Brahms6 braved the cool water and swam to the other side of the gorge area, before scaling the rock-face to the cache's hiding spot.
While I'm sure there is an alternate route to this cache site, it is definately not for the faint-hearted or those who dislike heights.
Took nothing and left nothing.

This is an amazing place i never knew about. What magnificent surrounds and all on an easy concrete path. I dont think for views and ease of access it gets much better than this trail. Now the cache on the other hand, that is a different story altogether. How to get to it... took the plunge into the icy water which was rather refreshing after the walk. I think i found the hardest way up to the cache which was made even more difficult by the rain and rocks being very slippery. I wouldnt recommend this one if you have a fear of heights. I probably also would not recommend doing it alone without anyone knowing you are there as was the case with me today. Took many photos and a change of clothes and towel along to make the walk back more pleasant. I took along a notebook and new ziplock bag to put in there. The old logbook is beyond repair and did not have a single legible entry. I hope the owner doesnt mind as i have thrown it away. The cache itself is in a bit of a sad state too, the lid of the container has been chewed through and has no watertight properties whatsoever. Clambered back down the rocks and splash... back to my backpack to change clothes and dry off.
Seeing as how i was changing clothes anyway i thought it fitting to claim the Geocaching aus cache 'Nude up for a smiley' GA0337. After changing i was on my way back to the car. Lucky i got out when i did - about 2 minutes down the track along comes 6 tourists ready for a swim, followed shortly after by 2 more... and then after that a couple with a baby. And here i was thinking this was a little known secluded area in the rainforest. Im actually surprised at the number of people who have found this cache granted the final resting place. Im now thinking of placing a cache along this trail to lure people out here. Maybe with the prospect of 2 smilies it will tempt them more. Or even if they are not daring enough to attempt this one it will show them what a great place this is anyway. Thanks a lot GeoDAsh. I will certainly be returning to this area in the future. Cheers!

Took an afternoon walk up to this cache - Ian opted for the swim as I could think of many reasons I shouldnt, LOL. We are sure about the terrain rating, sure enough the 3klm walk in is all sealed but the final bit (under 100m) requires a swim and then unless you have sandals you need to walk barefoot up a rather steep rock face definately not one for the kiddies or any less stable on their feet. No real big deal but we could have been better prepared than we were.
The cache was found after a short hunt but as previously mentioned is rather damp and the log although in a good bag was too wet to sign. The container has also been savaged by whatever it is that likes cache containers over here. We unfortuately werent prepared for repairs otherwise would have made an attempt to fix, sorry.
A really great cache hide nevertheless in a beautiful spot that I doubt many tourists have a chance to see. thanks

My first geocache. Found it quite easily, although the rocks were extremely slippery and needed extra care to navigate. Had to swim across, but the water wasn't strong enough to cause concern. I rode the track because I've walked it many times and I reckon it's harder (physically) to ride it but easier on your body - especially on the way down.
Waterfall at this time of year was flowing and looking well.
I should have taken a new container and log book - it was almost impossibile to write on the log book in it's current state.

Such a beaut waterfall. There is so much water at the moment I was a little worried swimming over. The cache and log was totally soaked and requires new container and log desperately
Another great cache in one of those hidden gems that only locals and geocachers would get to know about. The walk in is great, not too demanding but sufficient to get the heart rate up a little, and the reward at the end is well worth the effort. No swimming required on this day, as the water levels allowed me to take my shoes off and only get my tootsies wet. Plenty of other muggles were swimming however, and I must admit the wonderful swimming hole looked very inviting. The climb up to the cache was not too taxing, my only mistake taking a high route when I should have taken a low route, as the cache is on the lower level. Cache was not where I think it should have been, and I suspect some local marsupials had dragged it out as the lid is nearly chewed off. Contents are damp, but still in good condition. Cache was relocated deeper under the roots, but still in an easy to see location. This would be a great cache on a dry summer day, with a few hours spent lazing in the water. We walked in but I can imagine a bicycle ride back out would be quite exciting and quick. Took nothing, left a penny. TFTC.
12:30 Team effort and introduced Molozowa to GeoCaching!
The 3 km walk is a steady uphill climb to the gorge. Accessing the cache requires a swim across Behana Creek (refreshing after the walk!) as (at least during this time of year) there is no way to cross the creek on foot.
Great spot for picnic and swim!

Great walk up. Walk this track three or four times a week and since starting this caching thing thought it would be a top spot for a cache. Easy to find....great swim after. thanks. Left nothing. Took nothing. ciao.
Well today this cache taught me a valuable lesson. Yesterday I decided to walk up to this cache and see if it was still in play. As it hadn't been logged for over a year I didn't know if it would be findable or not.
I had very little accuracy on the gps when I was approaching the intake station so I decided to rely on the description of how to find the cache.
Look for a large gum tree, a rock ramp, a three metre cliff. Looking across the gorge I found a place that fitted all the clues but after searching for an hour or so I left in disappointment.
I came home to log my DNF and rechecked the pics that Walter posted. I can't believe I searched around the wrong tree.
HOW STUPID AND TIRED DO I FEEL.
Not to be beaten I went back up today but this time I rode my daughters mountain bike. That was a much easier way to reach the intake and the ride back to the car was great fun.
For some reason I had good reception this time and found the cache to be in good condition. All the contents were dry and I've placed them into snaplock bags so hopefully they'll stay that way.
Although I did this cache two days in a row, both trips were enjoyable.

Didn't have the info so never went for the cache seems like I was only 10 metres or so away from it. Good track and al the red claw in the water are fantastic.
The track in was very civilized and the scenery just lovely around the gorge. I watched and took photos as Bruce swum across and then traversed the rockface to get to the cache. He initially climbed too high and got around the back of the tree then had to retrace his steps to get to front. I was relieved to see he had found the cache because I was not too comfortable with him climbing around on the other side. Luckily no harm done and he returned to base camp saying how much he had enjoyed his swim. TNLN. thanks geodash.
Another excellent Cache by Geodash in my opinion.
Agree with previous logs about terrain being upgraded.
Don't think I'd try this one in the wet.

Great spot. Good hide. Like previous log lid has been partially chewed. It could do with some maintenance. There must be somehing about the name of this cache. Due to when I went to take a photo of our coin with the cache it was gooooone. So after a search around and no luck. We decided to go back to "Ella'va Cache" to see if we left it there. Again no luck. On the way home we were contemplating what we were going to do just short of putting out an APB. Alas in the dark and unloading the van Mr Platy spotted something. There siting between Mr Platys seat and the door sat the coin.

I found the cache this morning. It was quite damp inside. The cache location is really stunning and beautiful.
It urgently needs maintainance, because the lid is partially eaten. I suggest for the next Geocachers looking for "Behidden at Behana", that they would come in EARLY AFTERNOON. The sun will shine then on that spot and it would be possible to dry the contents in a short time. The Koala with its totally wet fur needs special care!

great walk beautiful spot for a swim or just to sit and look around.found cache easy "having rockclimbing as a hobbie helped" bought a freind with me who has never herd a geocaching he had a blast he's hooked on it now TNLN.Cache container needs replacing soon content is very wet somthing is chewing on the lid it now leaks. Thanks guys great hide.
Josh (friend) put his life on the line to find it first, then Timeka found an easier way up, then I got there her way. Follow the directions carefully, cross straight over the creek and straight up, not directly towards the tree, as that way is quite dangerous at the top. Even the "easy" way is not for the faint of heart or those who don't have a head for heights. I think terrain needs to be upgraded to a 3 or perhaps even a 4 (I took the parents and one only made it halfway to the swimming hole, and only 3 of our group of 8 were game to climb to the cache and now one of them isn't talking to me for putting her son's life on the line (I *think* a "hehe" belongs here!). Also, with wet season the current is flowing swiftly, so at least average swimming ability is needed to cross the creek.
Having said all this, this was a challenging and adventurous cache, made even more fun by the fantastic swim. Thanks GeoDash for the exercise. I recommend this to anyone who has time for the walk (45+ minutes each way) and a taste for adventure. Or you can take a bike (we took the bikes off the car before driving to the site for some reason!
Cache has plenty of chew marks in the lid where it threads on but the contents are dry and in GC.
TNLNSL (T and C signed log, J and A didn't make it up the rockface)

The walk into the gorge and the swim made this worth while but a disappointment because I did not find the cache. At the tree the correct track was hard to find so came away very disappointed - need to have been a bit fitter than what I am even though I have conquered most things! Thank you for organise the cache and hunt. (Maybe I come back one day with friend.)
Great view of the falls from up at the cache. Water felt freezing as I swam across but it was a beautiful sunny day so it didn't take long to warm up. Coordinates might have been a little bit off, but the very detailed description made the find easy. Thanks for the cache Geodash.SL TNLN
The 3km walk up to the falls was scenic enough
But, WOW what a great swimming spot. The falls were falling and the water was great after a hot walk uphill
Cache was easy to locate after a fun scramble to the right spot on the other bank. After that bit of exercise there was no choice but to cool off again and swim back across
Well worth a visit (even if you're not game to get the cache
Took a kiwi keyring and left a fridge magnet.

The walk into the gorge is in keeping with our fitness program and the water in the creek was cold when we waded across!
We found the cache after a bit of scrambling around on ground that was too high but were able to find a comfy spot to sign the log once we clambered down to the correct level.
Cache is dry but there are a lot of holes in the lid where creatures have gnawed on the lid - I think this will have to be remedied before the rain starts again.
Signed log and left some Indian bangals. TFTC Geodash we enjoyed our trip to Behana.

Found it after gruelling 3km walk and more than slightly dangerous climb up cliff rock face. Took mirror balls left NZ keyring. I would suggest only doing this cache if your very fit and not afriad of heights. TFTC
FTF I've been to this area before, so I decided to do it again as a training run in addition to finding the cache. With the extra rain that we've had, the gorge is looking wonderful. Take care when crossing the river as the water is moving very fast and the rocks are extra slippery. Another great place and cache from Geodash. SLTNLN TFTH
P.S. The critters have already started to nor on the lid of the cache.
