Logs

20-Dec-19
Checked this one out yesterday after recent dnfs. It is indeed gone, along with most of the log it was hidden in.

17-Dec-19
DNF today Sad

We found the location indicated by the hint and prior logs, and all that was in it was an old retractable pocket knife.

Hunted around a bit more, and expanded our search radius, but still came up empty handed.

Disappointing because this is one of the oldest caches in the area, and it is a beautiful spot with a lot of great aboriginal artwork.

Easy find

Trying to find Sybil the perfect present. But what do you buy someone who already owns half the city. Went for a look down the street of Cunning Artificers. This street is lined with shops and workshops, wherein all the members of the Artificers' Guild ply their trades and sell their wares. It resounds 24-8 with hammering, sawing and other noisy craftsmanship. There is practically nothing that some clever young man or dwarf cannot knock-up, jury-rig, devise a new way of doing or come up with through tinkering. I think I’ll stop along Mr Pony and see if he has one of those Counting Pines. Sybil said she though one out in the yard would look so splendid.

Wandered in from Tripitaka while enjoying the beautiful weather. The hint threw us a bit but found it in the log. Thanks for the cache

9/6/19 9:32 am Find #2535
A look at my map last night had me planning a morning escape to clear two areas of caches and grab some unloved in the process. I noticed this was unloved, and then realised it had also been recently replaced. Well that should be a fairly safe certainty that the cache is there at least. So this morning I headed out and mentioned to Fangsoki my plans. He decided to drive on over and join me on my morning outting, despite having found all bar one of the caches I had planned.
Arriving at this one I overstepped my mark and soon tracked back to the likely and more accurate hiding spot, where the cache was found nice and safe. I took the
Pharisee geocoin to move along before we continued on our way around the track.
Thanks for the cache K8'n'Co. and Team_DNF for maintaining it.

On a beautiful winter no-work-Monday we took our bikes to explore this little area we've never been before. Hmmm! Looking at the hint and the previous logs this should have been easy. Two sets of eyes, 15 minutes and a search area of up to 20m from the co-ords and no cache for us today.

27-Jun-18
Could not find with 5 of us looking. It was raining though so didn't search for a long time.

It has taken a while to get here but, like this cache, Geocaching has got me out and about, and seeing places off the main track.

Walked straight up to this one, after a DNF last year. My potato of a phone is on form today.

19-Mar-17
We had recently found a nearby cache and barely made it out alive. The mosquitoes were thick and vicious and the geodaughter and I donated more blood that the last time I went out with Dracula for a night on the drink. We decided to spray up big before walking to this cache. We had a Woolies home-brand bug repellant and a Coles home-brand bug repellant and thought we would road-test both impartially. (We have used Aldi repellant in the past which works really well but smells more nuclear than the spray that old people use in their toilets). After about 10 seconds of walking I slapped my neck which was possibly a phantom mosquito but we agreed there was a clear winner. The problem was we couldn't remember who sprayed which spray on themselves.

Leaving the car there was a feral storm cloud above us and the rain started to spit, but we had been waiting all morning to find a cache so forged on. There was an umbrella in the car so I grabbed it, whilst the daughter thought she was impervious to rain. She might me, but she wasn't impervious to me making her walk home to save my car getting wet.

A nick quick soggy find (not the log - the ground) before a muggle turned up walking 2 dogs in the rain. We posed for a moment to take a photo to throw him off the track and it worked - tee hee hee!! Returning to the car we noticed these amazing trails of hairy-caterpillars crossing the footpath head-to-tail. Looking further, there were hundreds of them (and hundreds that didn't make it). Oh no! Have we stood on a couple of them on the way down. I had a tear in my eye but it was raining so I could camouflage it. tftc

Found it. Look at it with my beautiful face and the adventure of my life.

06-Mar-17
Despite mossies at nearby cache, none here today. But we did see a loooong line of caterpillars head to tail crossing the path. It was also break time at the local school and a couple of kids said hi over the fence. Added "Enjoy your walk. And remember, respect for country round here, mate". Gotta love it!

08-Feb-17
After dropping Geohubbies phone off to him at work, i thought I would make the most of it and find a few caches.
After a nice short walk, the csche was in hand and in good condition.

Out on the geocycle on a beautiful Sunday afternoon picking up a few caches in the area. Soon had this on spotted and the log signed. TNLNSL TFTC Smile.

11-Sep-16
I'm out caching with my Goddaughter T and she has now discovered the caching bug. We dropped into this one (which I'd already found) and saw the travel bug. I've picked it up to go on a Rainbow Beach holiday.

27-Aug-16
Was driving past this cache. The Deagon wetlands were on fire again, but the smoke was blowing the opposite direction, so time to avenge a previous DNF. This took me a while, but my persistence paid off (and it should have taken me much less time now I know where it is!) Left a trackable. TFTC.

03-May-16
Cache is in place

03-May-16
Checked and the original container is still there. It might just be a case of mass cache blindness.

03-May-16

Second time lucky!
Just had to try a bit harder Smile Certainly a facepalm moment when I found it.

I'll add another DNF to the list...

01-May-16
Cache is missing.
I hope the CO can replace it soon Smile

19-Apr-16
As electro_man has said nothing to be found at the CZ.

14-Apr-16
DNF at 1730.

The coords are spot-on for the object in the hint, however this object has deteriorated badly.
I suspect the cache has been muggled as there is only one place it could have been placed.

02-Apr-16
Couldn't find this one, even with the hint. It didn't help that my iphone was jumping all over the place. We shall return.

06-Mar-16
Quick Sunday afternoon walk and as we were off to Bunnings decided to stop off here. Great little area for a walk and some awesome caches. TFTC

Took a little walk through some nice bushland after work to find a smilie. All good at the cache, all in good condition, puzzles and all. TFTC

08-Jan-16
Found it in the end. Thanks

06-Jan-16
Shoot, completely forgot about the clue.
Oh well, shall have to return another day.
I must have been suffering from cache blindness, because i overlooked this spot.
I didn't expect to find a k8&co cache all the way over here, but there are no boundaries.
Added my name, collected a smilie and replaced as found.

Thursday. Kerry from Slow Puncture was out and about with the aim of collecting the last two letters/cache types required for Fangsoki's "Can you spell December..." Challenge. This was not one of them, but was found along the way/in the process. [xx(]

After stopping to take some more pics of wildflowers and coming across signs that some of the paths are being closed for revegetation, Kerry moved on to the next cache for the day. Found this one very quickly after looking at would be the obvious spots. Signed log and checked no muggles were on the pathways. Container was a little tricky to extricate but retrieved and replaced. Loved the ‘skull’ inside the container.

This was the 2nd of 12 caches found on this trip.

Thanks [Blue]Team__DNF[/Blue], for showing us this place.

06-Dec-15
This one took a little while to locate but we eventually found it. TNLNSL TFTC

14-Nov-15
Tftc . Found with my newly interested friends

29-Oct-15
Relatively easy find. Contents were bone dry in spite of recent heavy rains, but the silicone seal around the lid is coming off. TFTC, this one's been on the radar forever, but with school pickup and drop off being always hectic it took 12 months to finally get there.

28-Sep-15
Out for a bit of a wander and came across this one. After waiting for a few bike riding muggles the coast was clear.

Thanks for the cache Team DNF. Cheers!!

I grabbed the geocoin and possibly might be able to drop it in a cache "Across the Ditch" (NZ) next week.

19-Sep-15
Lovely little spot to sit and rest and enjoy the artwork. Left the beautiful Matryoshka Geocoin TB for someone to continue her travels, please keep her moving for the owner. TFTC Team DNF Smile

New log book and a TB to go on it's way

13-Jun-15
I saw this notification had come through this morning and this afternoon it helped me decide where to cache.

A nice park to revisit and I'm sure I'll be back. I found this cache in good condition and enjoyed the blank log feeling (even if it wasn't a ftf) haha.

I traded the TB for a couple of magic cards only because my partner loves turtles and we promise to help it on its way. Tftc. Recovered and returned.

31-May-15
Taken the container for maintenance.

On the second look after a little wander to another nearby cache I was able to see it more clearly with fresher eyes. Good hide!

26-Mar-15
Thanks K8nco. Found the cache - sneaky! Could you please replace the log - it's pretty damp, but you can still write on it. Looking forward to the next puzzles.

I had a very nice walk to the cache, good to have caches on these tracks. The area was covered in ants but that didn't worry me. The cache is extremely wet, but I was still able to sign the log. TFTC

18-Mar-15
It was a-mazing that we were able to dodge the cranky muggles tonight Twisted Out for a spot of night caching to shake off a less than stellar day, we closed in on GZ only to hear the sound of muggles approaching [:(!] Thankfully the lady was too engrossed in yelling at her children and her two dogs to notice us back off the path, but wait! She had to walk past not once, but twice more. Really lady??? Go home and have a cold beverage Twisted After she and her entourage departed we were able to make a quick grab and sign before replacing the cache. We retrieved the TB to move along. Tftc and floorshow K8'n'Co Razz

30-Jan-15
No luck here today - GPS and phone were everywhere, I couldn't get them to agree or to show me something which resembled where this tricky cache may be.

I will be back!

24-Jan-15
Out for an afternoon with Selva Girls to do this series and a few others in the area. Lots of water lying everywhere from all the rain yesterday.

We ignored the obvious spot for a while as it didn't quite fit the hint. Eventually Selva Girls noticed something a little odd-looking though and we had another clue in hand.

24-Jan-15
With Rhyssa6. We wandered down the path to GZ. Once there, we searched everywhere for the thing mentioned in the hint. When we could not locate it, a general search began. My geosenses, quickly spotted something out of place. Sure enough, there was the cache. Smile

22-Jan-15
Out today to go to Masters at Parkinson to pick up some christmas lights sent from sydney for me, so thought of doing a few caches while we are in the area.

Found a 2pm. Nice old cache left tb took tb. Ant heaven photo attached had to flick cache around before could open it.
Maybe some ant powder is needed here just incase children want to find it.

Signed and replaced thanks again

26-Dec-14
Found it, but couldn't get it out for all the ants.

26-Dec-14
Found with hotwheelsduo and lost2found, dropped off tb. We decided to make our way out to do this series as its a beautiful area and we could grab dinner nearby. A fairly quick find, it was fairly well wedged in but we did manage to get it out despite the ants, they were a bit bitey. Puzzle noted and on we went,. Tftc

26-Dec-14
Continuing on with today's theme of K8'n'Co caches...this series was on our list as there was a very enticing feature in the area....fish and chips! It was getting close to dinner and we were hungry, but there was just enough time to get the clues for this one to solve the puzzle over dinner. Cache was located quickly, covered in ants but could definitely be retrieved and signed. We pondered what the extra puzzles were for - not entirely trusting the devious CO, we made sure we photographed EVERYTHING!

26-Dec-14
A tight spot for the cache. A far bit of wiggling to get it out while fending off the ants. All good on the inside. Clues noted and we collected a few more on this loop before heading off for the next clue.
Afternoon of caching with Lisylou and Hot Wheels Duo.
Thanks K8'n'Co

Temp finally dropped today before the storms this afternoon so I went for quick ride.
Checked on this one and it's still there.
A very tight squeeze to retrieve it but got it with only a few grazes.
It's returned and waiting to be found Smile

28-Nov-14
I have just replaced this cache I hope it hasn't gone missing again.
