We had a couple of goes at this one today. One pre-Odies Birthday Pary and (armed with a hint) one after the party. If the hint was anywhere near correct, the cache has now dissapeared completely.
cache will be out of action untill i can replace it. inly found the badly broken top half
Found container but unfortuantely it has been muggled and bottom broken off. No contents left, hence unable to sign log.
My first cache "down under" found today together with my college who now is also infected from geocaching. Nice view over the city and nice idea. OUT: nothing, IN: TB Balu das Baerli.

There was a man taking his morning walk around and around the park this morning. I took inspiration from the cache and and soon spotted something unusual. I had seen another cache hidden this way and knew exactly what I was seeing. When the perambulator had left I raced in, made the log and replaced the cache before he returned.
Gave up and left bleeding and frustrated (stupid lantana). Had a really good look for ages. Came at it from every side. The whole area now looks like a herd of elephants have charged through it.
Quick and easy find, once having circumvented the signs with 'Private property'. Coordinates spot on, but he contents of the cache are quite damp. Took one small ball and left another.
(Also saluting the cache owner who correctly has identified which was the sixth year of the new millennium, and thereby also the first year, being 2001. Many people incorrectly believe that the new millennium began with year 2000, but that was the last year of the previous one.)

had been moving furniture all day about 2 minutes from her but had just enough energy to make my way up and find this one. only knew this from reading about it a year ago, so had to guess...TFTF TNLN....logbook is soggy, and pen needs a bit of a scribble before it works...cheers
I listened to a radio program that described this location and another up the Blue Mountains as Australia’s top secret chemical weapon storage depots during WWII.
Apparently there is still some kind of residue that clings to the walls and if inhaled can cause chronic flatulence and the urge to run naked through the streets.

This was the second cache we found when I took my sister, brother in-law and their two sons caching.
It looked challenging at first glance but approaching the GZ I quickly deduced where it would be. Nice hide - something differenet. But the log is still a bit damp and difficult to sign.

this is a great location, its a wonder this isn't used by the muggles as a tourist attraction, and a bit scary the edge isn't fenced off. beware Geo-kids near the edge.
Great views of the Port, but I guess that's why this is here.

Fascinating structure - an old gun emplacement perhaps? BigON made a reassuringly quick find while the rest of us were poodling elsewhere, obediently following our errant GPSrs. No-one passing through the gate whilst we were there so were able to log and return uninterrupted. As mentioned before, water seems to be entering through the screw in the lid.
Thanks knock. Good hide.

Sometimes you just get lucky, I scooted up the steep bit just because it looked like fun, wandered over to the gz and there it is. Looks like the screw in the cap may be letting some water in. Took the TB but will log later as its still buried in my car.
Possibly an old armoury?

We had 3 GPSrs pointing in the wrong direction while BigON made the lightning fast find elsewhere - the cache is pretty damp - not sure why, but it probably needs some attention.
TNLN but discovered the TB which BigON collected (I think).

Found with Secretsquirrel-BJC on the Wollongong Invasion. This was a fantastic weekend of fun and sun, meeting the locals, and chasing excellent caches.
Enjoyed the search, and the find of course. Thanks for the cache.

A great weekend for the Wollongong Invasion with Sol de Lune, TankEngine & mtrax, and often teaming up with SecretSquirrel-BJC and Captain Tomato at times. A wonderful weekend of caches, views, sub-terranian and very clever hides.
Nice hide - what's in there? Intriguing, Thanks for the cache too.

1301. It's a 3/2 and I'm the only DNFer! Twice!! BigON became my favourite cacher for this particular cache when he basically walked up and found the cache immediately. Immediately. What is it about some caches that make me blind? Argh.

Found with Mtbikeroz, Mtrax and Sol de Lune on day 2 of our Wollongong invasion! (63 finds!) What a great cache! Excellent location, and great hide! Hope that kiddies don’t play ball games up here – wouldn’t want to be chasing that ball over the edge! And I have another question – how the heck do they mow these steep hill sides? TNLN thanks knock.
930(+9=939) with Captain Tomato on the Wollongong Invasion – a wonderful sunny weekend with friendly welcoming locals, finding clever hides, near spectacular coastal views, rugged escarpment and rainforest.
What an excellent interesting location, and a clever hide too!

Thought this was going to be scarier than it was. Contents very wet. Swapped a super ball for an alien key ring and then headed home. Have discovered that driving lessons are a good reason to go caching.
Got this cleverly hidden cached easily today. I know a bloke that used to work below.

I had no idea these were here with a view most appropriate for a dedicated team of artillerymen. Dropped off a geocoin to continue on its travels.
What a great view, of um? the Steel Works... Nah, really the view is great beyond that. Nice hide,
Thanks

Found at 1220. After searching this area night in the rain once before, saw what I missed immediately arriving to GZ for a quick, although very clever find. I imagine this is a great spot for all kinds of training, and even fun for the kids to roll down.

Found today by Mr Emu @ 6.55 p.m., GAFF3 http://wiki.geocaching.com.au/wiki/GAFF . Because of my direction of approach I spent a long time unnecessarily searching in the nearby shrubbery! After re-assessing my plan, I was very pleased to find this unique, well-hidden cache. Very nice effort "knock" - thanks for the cache!

Have been putting this one off for some time, don't know shy, I just did. Sorry!!!
Nice hidey hole, managed to do it without a GPS as it was a case of "where would I hide it". The arrangement was pretty cool when I found it - well done.
Took nothing, but left a glowstick in case future cachers don't follow the hint.

Found at 1:25 on our way home after spending a couple of sleepless windy nights camping in Kiama.
A nice simple find, and the coords are spot on.
TNLN but took in the views. Would also like to know more about the structures - might have to do a bit of research on those.

GPS sent me one way at first but when I re-tried I went another way and with the coordinates spot on this very good cache became reasonably obvious. Very nicely done by the knock! TNLN but a real appreciation of this hide.
What a great hide. The kids went looking but didn't find it. Asked me to help. Found it on first go but it kept them looking for about half an hour.

Wandered around and over the structure, following the arrow and the tracks on the side of the hill with no luck. I hadn't searched very long though, when I re-read the cache notes (I've just converted to paperless, and was playing with my new "Toy"), and it all clicked. Looking in the right spot, I discovered the cache! Excellent hide!

Easy one this one, liked the structures, would have liked to know more about them, would have liked even more to explore within. Oh well.
Took a water pistol, little bears and left a stubby holder and a yellow fish.
Met another cacher here which was nice. Time to have dinner with some Rats.

Clever.
I look forward to return trips to Wollongong now that there's more caches popping up between visits.
It also means I don't have to place caches at all the cool locations I've thought of - I'll just leave 4GR to do it

Found this one after dismissing it on the first go. Went back and sure enough, it showed up where I'd looked last time. Somewhat annoyed, I signed the log, left bells and took 'No Parking' sign. Thanks Knock - quite a clever hide!
lets see, look for a dark place in this area, without going underground like cacher's before. looking in, let the eyes adjust. there it is.
