I had always wanted this cache since I started caching and today with my brother was the day,the road was fairly good,we went through the big water hole and these days our Toyota Kluger is all wheel drive we drove all the way with no problems and it was one of the best places Ive been in a while, now comes the interesting part,we arrived at the lookout to be greeted by a man with Mohawk hair with a feather sticking up standing on one leg waving us in,he was there with his tractor pulling a boat and had his mother with him,he was the oddest, but funniest character weve ever met and absolutely made our day as a novelty adventure,my brother and I had a great day.TFTC
Another beautiful day to get out and explore more of the region. Today, we headed down to Wooli, followed by Minnie Water, and explored the national parks in the area.
Decided to head back home via Condole Forest road, about 30km of dirt track. This cache was along the track. Once at GZ, I searched and searched with no luck. It looks like there has been works in the area. Contacted CO, who gave us the green light to replace. Cache is good to go again.

Found at 3:08 PM GAFF1.
The final cache for the day after doing the Brooms Head caches. This was just 7 odd kilometres from where we were so we thought it would be a doddle to get to and then head back to camp for a drink and Cat to make a delicious Beef Bourguignon!
Well that didn't work out totally to plan now did it! The track was ok for a while but then we encountered some serious equipment on the track that were repairing the track! We managed to pass them and then found that the track was really tough in sections with massive amounts of water over the track due to last nights incessant rain!
Managed to eventually get to GZ and thanks to goungplaces2 - the cache was found with exact co-ords.
A somewhat ok view from up there - but at least we have been there
Now to get back to camp for that delayed wine and stew!
Thanks Liz and Bruce.

We went looking for this cache today with ilook4geo and enjoyed the road heading from the sea to the forest, It was easily manageable in a high clearance 4WD, including all the pot holes and water features due to the recent rain. One stretch of road was about 70 or so metres of water. That was fun! When we arrived at GZ we had a good search around without finding a cache. We knew from the note written previously that the COs would like it to be replaced if it was missing, so we did that. We started off the replacement log with two names and hid it where we reckoned it would have been placed originally.
We enjoyed the views from here and thank Liz and Bruce for placing this cache.

The drive to this cache was a good one and we decided, along with goingplaces2, to replace the cache which had gone missing. All good now. Good views from this area. TFTC.
Could the next geocacher visiting this location please replace as it appears the cache has been destroyed. With thanks Liz and Bruce
DNF a real pity too as it's not easy to get here. 12 months since last activity and fires came through the area earlier this year.
Black stump seems blacker after the fires. No sign of cache after a real good look and scratch around.
This is a little milestone cache for us - this is our 789th find this year (2019)... the most we’ve ever found in a year since we began playing in 2012. AND today is also our 1000th caching day since we began. A nice way to end the year we think.
Getting to the cache was a nice forest drive - bumpy in places but not too bad. Nice view from up here.
Thanks for the cache Liz and Bruce and bringing us to another beaut location.

Easy find! Lovely scenic drive. Bought our portable bbq and coked bacon and egg rolls enjoying the view. Thank you! Our first geocache found
We're having a lovely camping holiday at Minnie Water and seeing that Geohubby is a mad, keen kayaker, we decided to go for a paddle at Sandon River. What a shame that we had to travel via a 4WD bush track that went straight past this cache . We went for a nice drive through the Candole State Forest, the road was in pretty good condition and rocks have been put down in some of the boggy spots. We saw goannas and a black snake also made an appearance. Geohubby parked the car within 50 m of the cache and I quickly found a handy way to get to GZ. The view was amazing and better still I found the cache in good condition, it's not unloved any more. TFTC Liz and Bruce and for bringing us to another lovely spot
While enjoying our annual family get together at Brooms Head we decided to go on an adventure in search of this cache. After following the 4WD only track and fighting off the hungry mosquitoes we found the cache, which was in good condition. Thanks Liz and Bruce for the cache.
Swellerfungus and I had been out on a fishing charter the day before and stayed overnight in Wooli before leaving this morning before sun-up to commence the drive back to Brisbane. Despite the darkness we managed to find the entry track into the forest and cautiously made our way along the track. Managed to overcome a few rocks and small logs and the odd spider web across the track, despite one rather large thump which caused a noticeable squeak from underneath the car. A quick inspection stop revealed nothing so we continued along until the next creek crossing brought a thankful end to the noise. We gradually wound our way up the track gaining height along the way, and Swellerfungus spotted a passenger on the outside of his window - a big spider from one of the webs we had driven through earlier. We reached GZ just as the sun broke the horizon giving us enough light to make the search. Unfortunately the sun also brought out the mozzies who swarmed us relentlessly. The names written in the log will be a little squiggly - it's pretty hard trying to write and beat off a million mozzies at the same time. We quickly retreated to the car but no refuge here as a certain person who will remain nameless had left his driver's door open to invite in any insect who wanted to hitch a ride. Despite bashing as many as I could into the windscreen they were soon overwhelming us so we wound down the windows to try and allow them to fly out. It was about this time that Swellerfungus let out a squeal and clutched his chest. Oh God, I thought, it has finally happened, his dicky ticker has finally given out and here we are stuck in the middle of the forest. Oh and he is driving and we are on a rather steep descent with a even steeper fall off the side of the track. As I madly searched for some AA batteries and a piece of tinfoil to improvise some sort of defibrillator device Sweller informed me the hullabaloo was due to the spider swinging in from the window and not some medical emergency. With that little drama over we were soon on the road to Sandon. TFTC.
A weekend away on a fishing charter in Wooli with seffnjarah, and the opportunity arose to leave the group early this morning and head up the coast caching. We had a day with a lot of 'Liz and Bruce' caches and a few 'Herbz' caches. You know when you are heading into their territories you are in for a wild and bumpy ride, and that was exactly what happened!
Our first cache for the day required some enjoyable four wheel driving through the National Park. Some expert navigating by seffnjarah had us zigging and zagging at a great pace. We took one of SNJ's famous 'short cuts' that had me a tad nervous at the quality of the road, but it soon settled down with only a few small (and one large) creek crossing.
Arriving at GZ and we soon found the locals had ambushed us. They watched from their hiding spots until we found the cache, and immediately attacked. I can safely say I have never seen so many mosquitos at one time. We added our names to the log as quickly as we could with a constant barrage of mosquito flak. Cache returned, a super quick photo, and it was then that I realised my rookie error. I had left the car door open. There was enough mozzies inside to drive the car if they had wanted too. On trying to shoo as many away as I could I then spotted the dirty great big spider who's web we had earlier broken with our windscreen. Windows up - bugger the mozzies! We swatted away the mozzies, and finally set into a rhythm of creek crossings once again. About ten minutes later we found a rogue very annoying fly in the cabin, and opened my window to let it out. I decided to leave it down for the fresh morning air, only to be horrified a few minutes later at the spider once again seining down from the roof and through my window. I may have shrieked like a little girl. I can't confirm as I have blocked it from my mind. I am sure SNJ will embellish the story somehow!
Thanks Liz and Bruce, I have travelled to Wooli for the past five years, and always been to busy to try another way home. Terrific stuff.

FWD for the first time and decided to check out if there were any caches along the way and ofcourse there was! Lovely view and awesome find.
What a great adventure this was. We had a great time getting here and it was an awesome spot to have GZ as well. Great views. Its looks like the road in has been graded in the past few months and some road base put down. This made for an easy drive up in to the hills. My AWD had no problems getting to GZ.
Cache is in good conduction and I dropped in a couple of new log sheets as well.
Great Spot. Thanks Liz and Bruce for showing us.

Been watching this for a while but had to wait until holidays. Whilst out for a 4wd drive with some friends in the general area decided to track it down and at the same time introduce them to the fun of geocaching! Loved the view. Cache in good condition, swapped some swag too!
Found it easily. Was surprised it survived fires.Track has had attention so area is accessable again but I would think not after rain.
Thanks Liz and Bruce, you are our adventure gurus! Amazing spot and we would never have explored this track if not for the enticement of a cache to finish off our August Fun. No reception or battery left on our mobile after camping at Sandon for a week of bliss, so,... a bit late logging. We were lucky that it has been so dry and that the track has been recently graded, a perfect time to visit this beautiful place. Great view. Cache is in good condition, took nothing left a pirate coin. Thought about leaving the clip and go trackable but it has been a long time between visits here. Thanks again, Liz and Bruce you really do find the best spots. Another favourite for us.
WOW!!! Maybe we went the wrong way - we came in from Sandon Road. This was a great trip for the "Oz-Truck" we had (The truck and I) had a ball.... Mrs Oz- was a little more apprehensive. We found all manner of mud puddles and water crossings only to be foiled by a fallen tree - so back through all the mud again (yippee) to find an alternate route. Eventually we arrived at GZ absolutely brilliant. Took the TB - this is definitely a favourite. By the number of tracks we encountered there is probably an easier softer way .... but I wasn't going to look for it. Thanks Liz and Bruce for a great ride.
Found at 12.20pm as we wandered around the forest areas for the day.
A wonderful location, we had lunch parked on top and continued our forest drive thereafter
We left a TB
Nice one
Thanks

Well we picked the wettest day of the season with rain getting heavier and heavier but had a lot of fun slipping and skidding and almost getting bogged. 'The Maid' had some minor palpitations as we slithered close to the edge and then through deep water filled ruts drifting sideway, out of control almost into a trees.
When we left Brooms Head we had planned to drive across the Park to Ulmarra using Mr Tom Tom but got stopped by a private gate that Tom hadn't factored in. We tried another way only to find ourselves back at the cache again after an hour or so!
It left us then to retrace our steps back to Brooms Head and negotiate again the precipice and the now deeper water filled ruts! Just got through...
Thanks L&B we had a lot of fun.
Replaced the Cache container and added some goodies to swop.

If the next geocacher attending this cache could take along a replacement container for the current one which is damaged it would be much appreciated.
Found easily enough after a long drive, though the containter is in need of a little maintance it has a hole melted in the side from the fires.
Thanks,

There was a big dust storm so we couldn't see much but it was nice to be out of the wind for some of the day. We woke up today to hear that the forest is on fire and Broomshead is under threat. so am not sure how safe the cashe will be.
I enjoyed the drive up the little steep bit to GZ. Geomum bailed out and waited at the bottom. I didn't tell her there was an easy track as well. Older geokid loved it and younger geokid didn't even wake up. Stopped awhile to admire the view. TFTC.

Found while doing a 4WD excursion from Brooms Head to Minnie water with the Holminators and the Herbz. Wouldn't recommend this one without a 4WD given the condition of some of the roads. TFTC
Found on a 4WD day out with geobuddies the Grundies and the Holminators. Went for the short, steep climb in the 4WD to GZ from the south (just had to be done) and made it up only to find a much easier way in from the north. Lovely views, TFTC.
Came in via Shark Creek Road, spent 3 hours negotiating our way through private property and state forests (Went through private property and left gates as found). Did not attempt the short sharp rise at GZ but had a nice flat walk in.
Took the shorter road out and found some interesting mud holes and a good waterhole to wash the car.

We made this cache a part of another weekend visiting Yuraygir NP. Both of us were glad to be in a 4WD as the road has deteriorated after the recent rains. We were lucky enough to spot a couple of emus while we were driving to the cache location. Good views, good adventure, thanks for bringing us here. T4TC.

From our campsite this was a nice drive out into the countryside. With all roads leading to GZ we had no probs finding this one. The kids werent too keen about Dad having a go at the steep climb right at GZ.
Thanks
Thanks
Thanks for the cache, we have been holidaying in Brooms Head for five years now and never have been for a drive here. It is so good to find different places. Great views of the pine trees.
The msit was coming down and it was getting near the end of the day if we were going to get back in the light. The previous logs were quite negative. After a look around and noring that the rocks wre too slippery to climb we decide for the first ever time that we would phone a friend. Found it after that in trice. Think posiive it really is not hard to find with the right frame of mind. Thanks for this cache.
We knew we should have taken the Broomes Head way in, but thought it would be fun to see where Tommy took us. Once we reached the private property we then turned and took the forest tracks. Was such a lovely drive along the ridge of the hill line and even met up with a forest 4x4 on the way.
Finally made it to the cache and enjoyed the view. Once we signed the log, had a little snack we took the much easier and nicer track into Broomes Head for fish and chips on the beach

Camping at Sandon River for the weekend and made the trip into the hills to find this cache. A very interesting drive and certainly well worth the trip. Our 200th find. Tnln tftc
Found on a lovely weekend out from Yamba. Seems to be some difficulty with the access at the moment. We approached along the officially mapped 'Forest Drive' and encountered the same 'Private Property' sign as others have mentioned. Luckily we had 4x4 so negotiated a few bike trails etc before emerging onto a proper forest track which took us the last few kms to GZ. On exiting along the forest drive towards Wooli, we were again interrupted by forestry signs prohibiting access. With nowhere else left to turn we had to negotiate the forbidden trail to safety.
If there is a better way to this, then may be worth publishing it.
Thanks for the cache though, the view was beautiful.
Jerry.

Came in from h/way and came to private property so backtracked through the National park. Not many 4x4 through the area we went but there had been a few trail bikes.
Put the 4x4 skills to the test.We finally arrived there to beautiful views, was worth all the effort and damage to 4by.
Thanks Bruce & Liz for another great one.

After travelling a return trip of 71km from Yamba, I was a little disappointed in not finding this location. GPS was indicating that I go onto private property when within 2-3km of the cache. The alterate route was 19km around, so after crossing a very wet rocky creek crossing hitting the exhaust (needed a 4x4) I decided that I put this one down to experience when back in the area with a 4x4. No doubt about the solitude - it's everywhere.
Took the corolla for a spin in to the cache, only one big waterhole and we got through that with no probs at all.
Thanks for another FTF Liz and Bruce
