Myself and my boys headed out for a camping / caching weekend up along the border. Heading out Friday night we set up camp right on the Murray River at Richardsons Bend campground. A great place to camp. The next day we headed to Albury and I did some yakking there while the boys watched from the shore. We then headed west, stopping at Lake Mulwala, where we unloaded the yak and all three of us piled on and spent a great couple of hours on the water. Moving on to one of my old stomping grounds, Cobram, where we spent the afternoon swimming and relaxing, some dinner then we found a great camping spot on the Murray at Smither's Beach (between Cobram and Tocumwal). The next day we turned south for home via Shepparton and Nagambie. Plenty of caches found and some awesome sites visited.
After a good nights sleep we were up early and heading a little south to grab a few caches before heading into Albury. We had to visit the dam to view its greatness and we weren't disappointed. We found the cache - or part of it any way. Thin it needs some TLC. Great spot and thanks Coruze.

As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, or it's been longer than 28 days since the last reviewer note. I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 28 days), just contact us (by email) once the cache is in place, and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it. Should you replace the cache after 28 days has passed please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.
By looking at previous logs, it looks like this cache needs some attention. Offline until I can do some maintenance.
13:55 Like an earlier cacher, I found the lid but no contents. Good hide for a complete cache however. Not many muggles today. TFTC
Found with Snickersallan, Fit02 and buddy, nice quick find for Easter Sunday 2015
Out for a drive of the area from where we are house sitting in Wodonga. The dam level looked very low but there was still lots of water being released. Thanks for bringing us here. SL TFTC Coruze
GrimRaider and I made our way down to the dam today on our way out to Bethanga for a family reunion. My dad was born on the NSW side of the dam which is why his middle name was Hume. Things must have been tough back then - he was born in a tent in June. It was great to have a look around today but I need to come back to have a better look around. I had to drop one of my pathtags in this cache! Cache was in good condition. TFTC
Found it with KittyKatch today on another caching day. TFTC Coruze

Travelling around Australia in our Caravan with our cat.
Currently camped in Wodonga but having seen the "The 2 states challenge" cache we decided we needed to find a cache across the border, then we realised there was a cache nearby to help us fill in another blank on our D/T matrix.
Wow this place is amazing. Great spot for a cache.

On a long weekend caching around albury and district.
Quick grab in between the muggle. Beautiful views.
Thanks Coruze

Nice easy find, with a cool history.
The gates were open, so we were able to stroll along the weir itself. Frightening, but fascinating.

Found in the morning after leaving Albury. My pocket query hadn't covered quite as far as this one, but as I got out of the car, there was a nice hiding spot for a cache off in the distance. Pulled the phone out, and yep, there is one! A very nicely sized cache in a nice spot. Enjoyed the views and the walk around, it was gorgeous. TFTC, Coruze
A great spot and the first of quite a few dams we got to see on our trip to the snowies. Cheers. MODU.
After a lovely bbq dinner we set off to find this cache. Wasnt to hard and fun for all
I was staying in Jindera for a couple of days, doing a Messy Church workshop at Culcairn, and our host kindly took us down here to be tourists. This is certainly an amazing construction and well worth a look. I had enlightened the group into the ways of GC a little earlier and so two of us went for the search. There were very few muggles around which made life a little easier. At first, I was looking for a micro in all the wrong spots, but soon realised the error of my ways. Cache is in great condition and I was soon signed up and on our way. Greetings from Brisbane and TFTC!
Found it. Left a travel bug in the form of a gold ingot. Please pass this along
Good spot to sit and enjoy the sun with an ice cream with becausefredsaid & lisasaidso
Quote from lisasaidso 'I'm just here for the ice cream'. Gorgeous day out with lisasaidso and kjmcg1.
Found it with geohound and giant ice cream in hand. Watch out for the dodgy waffle cones!
#622 Found on a run from Latchford Barracks to the Dam. Nice spot for a breather and a good little hide. Gets a fav from me!.
Pulled up and it was quiet had a look around the rocks the saw something and thought oh I think it's there. Took a seat and a photo as muggles started coming from no where. Bingo there it was retrieved cache between breaks in muggles and signed the log. I could hear voices approaching so was rushing. Managed to replace within seconds of the muggles arriving. Took another photo and I was on my way. TFTC

We tried this one a while ago & there were too many rocks & muggles for us to conduct a proper search. Today was the complete opposite. Not a muggle in sight & coords spot on - walked straight up to it!! SL. Took a stroll across the recently re-opened wall & showed the geokids how the gates work. Not a lot of water being let out. River is very low. Tftc
Second find of the night with the kids. Glad we had experienced cacher Jamin Appleford with us, otherwise this find wouldn't have been as easy. Kids were a little reluctant to reach for the cache in the dark. thanks for the cache.
I have changed the micro to a small cache. It is in the same position as before only larger. All good to go once again, enjoy!
Checked this one out and the cache has definitely gone. Placed another cache in it's spot
No luck at this one for me today, but the dam wall certainly is an impressive sight.
Didn't find it. May need maintenance it wasn't in the spot it was ment to be in.
Collected while checking out the height of the Hume Dam, big change since the last time I was here!

A quick find. With school holidays the muggle count was up but we were still able to get the log out and back in without too much difficulty. TFTC
It was great to take a drive out to the Hume Dam area, haven't been out here before.
The cache was quickly found & logged.
A favourite point for the location.
Thanks Couze

Found with Thing no1 and Hearse068 while visiting friends on our way to Kiama for a wedding. TFTC SL
We were visiting friends at Albury who took us out to the dam for some sightseeing. It really was impressive with lots of water out of the ??spillway.
Being muggles they were impressed with the hide.
Thanks Coruze.

After arriving in Albury we nipped out to see how the Weir is travelling. And to get a cache of course.
Thanks for placing this cache, CORUZE. Found in good condition.

Easter weekend 2nd-6th April 2015 in Stanthorpe, QLD.
Heaps of people around on this warm spring Saturday at lunchtime!
I casually wandered over to GZ and upon approach had a fair idea where the cache would be. Took a seat, leaned against the wall and took my chance to grab it when coast was clear. SL
No one noticed... Love the spy like challenge during high muggle times!

#640. I had promised to take the grandkids caching after school today (we are staying with them for a couple of days) and this was #1 on the 2nd part of my caching activities this afternoon. No one about, a quick find, SL and headed off to nearby GC2BXCK. TFTC here Coruze.
Great one Thanks. And a great place to bring my new family who haven't been out to the weir. Thank you
Found on 15/6/13 with me wife and sister whilst spending the day with our niece
Sorry for the late log.
Sorry for the late log.
After visiting the area and smashing a huge ice cream each we were happy to go for a walk, had to let a couple of muggles pass by and then swooped on the cache. Thanks Coruze for the cache.
We stopped here on our tour of the district this afternoon. After having an enormous ice cream at the nearby store, we needed a walk! Thanks for the cache and bringing us here.
