Well we found the bull ants and we disturbed a spider, we were watched with great interest by muggles and ducks alike - and yet we failed to find the cache.
We had Hi Pressure with us but even with the extra pair of eyes there was still nothing doing.
So female Harlips delicious Basil and Rocket Pesto recipe will remain a secret!
We would like to return another - less busy - day to log a find.

Located @ 2050 hrs.
Disturbed the bullants and a spider, but good muggle free time to visit. Hope the locals don't look out their windows at the hunched over figure toting a torch ...
Managed to squeeze in a visit by Epicurean Ellie TB who brings with her many fine recipes - most appropriate!

You could say we circled this cache!
It is always somewhat nerve wracking when we search so close to houses with all those windows facing us.

Found cache once GPS was put in the right datum! Unable to fill in log due to high chance of cache being muggled if I retrieved it. Will return in future and use family feeding the ducks as a decoy!!!

Found @ 8:35. 3rd of 6 today on the way to McCrae. No compatable swaps today. Thanks. TNLNSL
Found this almost driveby cache today in the company of Oenze on our Peninsula weekend. A bit wet outside the car so Oenze grabbed it and we were out of there. Thanks Chefs.
Find # 1650 and 11th of the day at 2:07pm. Accompanied by Feathertop on our Peninsula caching long weekend. A nice easy drive by and the ducks welcomed us too. TNLN, Signed Log, Thanx Chefs on the run....
Found 200707071659 . A nice quick and easy find on my journey down to Portsea for the weekend . The ducks at GZ are very friendly too

An easy find, but exposed! I even had a dozen ducks come over to see what I was doing (but they said that they wouldn't tell anyone about the cache, as long as I didn't put in any duck recipies).
Thanks, Robmc.
Thanks, Robmc.
Found by Mary & David at 1815. A delicious idea! Thought it might be tricky in the dark, but found quickly. Looks like this would be a lovely spot in daylight. Even at this hour, the ducks got quite excited to see us. Took 'chicken rice', left 'choc chip mince'. Our thanks to chefs on the run.
Found by caughtatwork at 2:25
Very open at this cache location and the only recipe I could think of involved DUCK!, so I took nothing, left nothing.

This was not a very nice cache for me today as I felt that everyone was watching. I hope no-one saw us here today. caughtatwork found the cache while I looked around to see if anyone was watching.

First cache of the day on a trip down to Pt Nepean - it was a nice quick one, which is a good way to start the day , and in a very pleasant spot indeed - the houses on this street certainly have a lovely front yard!
I can't cook , so TNLN
Thanks Chefs

Third of five cache finds for the day. We had been down to Rye to see the sand sculptures and decided to do a few caches on the way home. The cache was found at 15:05. This sure was an interesting road; this was a quicker find than I thought it would be. Thanks Chefs for the cache.
Hi chefs,
Just a quick note to say that the peanut brownie recipe is fantastic. When we make them they don't last very long
Thanks for the recipe

Nice place, although many people can see you from their own homes. We were fantasizing about the chefs; watching cachers find their little treasure and, after they had replaced it, running out to see what they were going to have for dinner that night! Sorry, didn't have a recipe on me. But will mail you a nice one, promise.

Another nice find but had to resort to the hint to find the well hidden box. Didn't have any recipes on me so TNLN, thanks Chefs on the Run.
Found on sunday afternoon. This cache is not far from my parents polace so after dropping kids off for a holiday it was time to do some caching on the way back home. Took peanut brownie and left a recipie for canadian pound cake.
Here it is to share
Canadian Pound Cake
Ingredients
- Approximately 550g cake mix (doesn’t have to be too accurate – we like Betty Crocker’s Chocolate Fudge or Devil’s Food Cake and if you use these you just use the whole cake mix
- 1 packet instant pudding mix (chocolate for a chocolate cake, vanilla for all other flavours
- ½ cup oil
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup milk
Method
Put all of the ingredients in a bowl and beat until the mixture is smooth. Check the consistency of the mixture by getting a spoonful of the mixture and letting it run off the spoon – if it runs off the spoon rather than falling in dollops it is fine. You may need to add some more milk.
Pour the mixture into a large fluted ring pan that has been well sprayed with cooking spray and cook for approximately 45 minutes on 180°C.
This recipe originally came from friends of my Mum’s family who had just come to Australia from Canada. It has always been popular and was always the cake requested for birthdays and any other special occasions.
I hope you enjoy.
Thanks

If people try and find when the logs says its muggled, its better off archived to remove the temptation.
Didn't need GPS for this one...I just walked up and there it was sitting in plain view! TNLNSL and rehid it properly.
Dear Chefs,
We found your cache today at 1:40pm as the fifth of nine on our Bay Cache Day. We had brought our lunch with us and decided to have it here as a picnic with the ducks. A very nice break and an easy pick up. Thanks for the cache.
Kind Regards,

Hmm so close and yet so big. As I was passing along a main road the GPS suggested if I wanted to find a cache I needed to turn off the main road just ahead of where I was. Hmm the Melways suggested the road went in a big circle and it may hard to get a semi around it.
The decision was made to try and the worst case scenario was the 6pm headlines of the news. I entered the road easily and after parking as close as I could get it was an easy walk to the cache. I didnt have any trouble finding the cache as it was sitting on the ground at GZ. After signing the log book it was time to head and after a bit of careful manouvering the truck made it easily around and out.
Many thanks to the Recipe Kings for the cache.

After a disappointing run of caching southwest of our GZ it was a good feeling to break the run of bad luck and actually find something today. But this sure is an exposed cache. Anyway we waited till the cars stopped coming and made a quick log at 1630. No recipes so TNLN.
Thanks to chefs.
Thanks to chefs.
Very exposed and tried to look very casual as someone was ironing in a window! One good ploy is to sit beside the cache although that was a bit hard here! Took Chicken Cordon Bleu, left Prawn and something salad. TFTC.
Found at 3.05pm GAFF1. We think we have been here before en route to another cache nearby. Nice to be back. Didn't have any recipes so no swaps. Thanks chefs
I was in the area to perform maintenance on three local caches, so this one was definitely on the list.
I wish I had read the cache description properly; I would have brought a recipe along. I arrived near GZ, and felt very exposed, especially as the blinds of the facing house were well-and-truly up! However, it was an easy find at 1445. I made no exchange. Thanks to the chefs on the run for the cache.

Found today at 11:05, my first cache for the day. Despite it being school holidays, there was virtually no-one around. It was a nice easy find. I had no recipes to swap so no exchange was made. Thanks for the cache.
17-06-2006 14:21, Loonster and I dropped off a Chicken Cordon Bleu Burger recipe and took a Peanut Brownie recipe. Thanks chefs.
Found at 12.30pm after a short search. Took Head Chefs Neverfail Sponge recipe and left Grandmas 2 minute Tuna special recipe. Then went and had some lunch.
Got to the giant round-a bout this morning at 9.00am and thought jes...could this be an island job.Ventured to GZ and tried to avoid all the sleepy heads waking up and collecting papers off their lawns.Parked and zeroed in to the cluster .Quickly found the stash in its clever hide and did a fast log job as the views from houses is a bit close.TNLN but it would have been a recipe for disaster if i would have had to island hop to get this one .Great spot and thanks to the former kiwi cooking team !!
Saw the email pop up and being so close to home I had to go get it. Quickly grabbed a recipe and was out the door. Upon arriving at GZ the cache was located in the second place I looked and with an empty log book! Another FTF at 21:13 !
Took: Chicken Rice recipe.
Left: Chocolate Truffle recipe.
