Been a long time on this, the final area has been changed over time so will retire this cache
Didn't find it after seriously diligent search. We notice this hasn't been found since January last year and ask owner to please check and let us know all is well.
Did not realise this was a multi-stop so did not find it. Will head out another day.
DNF, double checked my calculations and they should be right seems to be a large tree fallen at GZ.
This is the third time i have tried this one, must be making the same mistake over again.
Coordinates worked out, and headed to cache.

follow all the clues to, i am sure, the right place. Good look around but no find

We picked up the necessary information as we toured the town as we did a bit of shopping. Accurate co-ordinates had us at our quarry and signing the log in no time. We are a bit perplexed as to the significance of the name of this cache as we were unable to make a link to any of the locations we went to?

Found @ 1145 am. Had to think about second clue could have been interpreted two ways but got it right first go and after short walk had cache in hand TFTC
Found on and adventure trip with Rogwat and the Walenaters. Gathered the facts needed and even had time to pick up a traditional while completing one of the stages. There was some confusion at the final waypoint as to which direction we should take on our final assault but it was soon resolved. Thankyou for a lovely tour of this fine town
after putting the wrong co-ords in it took a while to realize the mistake and before we were out of the car we headed back to the real GZ
WP1 and WP2 found and calculations worked out. Cache was found after a short walk. TFTH.....SL......TNLN
Found on way home from picking up geochild from sleepover. The log book was very wet and hard to write on and also the cache was very easy to spot with blue lid maybe it needs painting as muggle could see it.
This cache is in desperate need on maintenace. It is wet inside container and log book is wet it makes it hard to write on.
found at 9.55am this is my second attemp here as last time there where muggles riding motor bikes around. Found it with ease. I think if it stays where it is it wont be long and muggles will find it. Just cleaning up the local caches. It is in desperate need of some maintance TNL1
Nice cache and he was a very big visiter. The cache container was half full of water and a wet logbook needs maintenance. TFTC
This one was awash.
Emptied out the water, signed the very damp log

Enjoying ourselves down at Cape Patterson for Easter with family and friends. After 30 years we finally are getting to see more areas than we ever did through this wonderful caching. Enjoyed this cache with some nice little clues. Easy find when we finally found the way in. Launched one of our family TB geo coin here.
Thanks for the history information and walk around town.

We had a day visit to Wonthaggi so decided to go for this cache. Took us to two interesting sites/places. (The latter of which was closed because it was early evening). Nice gentle multi; many thanks.
My last one in the area. Took me some time to get the final GZ in right. Had a moment of Dyslexia. When I got the right GZ it was an easy find. TFTC.
Cache container is starting to leak. I removed water damaged items and dried the log book out best I could. Recommend a container with rubber seal and some dark paint to camo it a bit.
This was my very first multicache was mum,amy and allan b, it was fun. TNLN.TFTC
The first multi cache for the girls this morning, after working out the first bit we were off to the final location. After a quick search Elly came up with it.TNLN.TFTC

What is wrong with me? I found the location but nothing to indicate a date of arrival. Am I stupid? Couldn't go any further with this one.
A nice little drive around allthough we found ourselves retracing our steps a bit. Maybe we should have done this one earlier. Especially enjoyed seeing the exibit at wpt one. I remember seeing that in some old slides that my parents took many years ago.
Thanks for the history and memories

The Swaggies had been here before so knew what to expect, but we had an interesting drive around revisiting some areas again. Once again the calcs were Ok and the cache was found. Took I & P screwdriver, left golf ball.
Thanks Terry_Jay for the cache.

Found this on our Cape Paterson trip. Got to see a couple of interesting Wonthaggi landmarks, and found the final cache in good order. TNLN. Thanks for the cache.

We found our 5th Terry Jay cache at 5:10pm as the 9th of 12 on our Cape Patterson or bust tour. This is the third time that we have followed this multi through. Once on the original cache, once on an error on the listing co-ordinates on the new cache and finally today. I see that Terry Jay treated us to a new log book after a visit yesterday. Thanks for the cache from D,H & A B-A.
Cache was very wet - emptied out the water and tried to dry the log. Might need checking. It will probably dry out a bit as the weather improves.

Quite a long multi, but we got there!
One day we will get one of those Tom tom thingies...
Would have loved to be here to hear the whistle. Another day maybe...
Tried to check the seal in the cache for Rigger, but there are no animals in it? (Enough water for a seal though)
TNLNSL TFTC, find #365 for Echo & Spice.

Lady Morris was again in the area on her own and having started this one previously she was determined to pick it up this time. Checking the final coords with a previous finder, she arrived at GZ with only a few minutes to spare before being expected at a party. Of course it continued to prove elusive, the pressure was on, it had recently has a DNF, we hate em in grass and we needed to factor in a change of clothes. At last it was located and finally we can cross it off the nemesis list. TNLN TFTC.
In the company of Blatherskite, we were at nearby Phillip Island for the Historic Car Races and would do a few caches in the area. this was to have been our 1st find of the day except for a very annoyning local who hung around like a bad.. you get the idea!
Having local knowledge, I navigated our way to the start as I knew of the big "visitor".
The information to the final GZ was collected, but we will have to return later when we can avoid that particular local resident and claim our find.
Thanks anyway for the hunt and the history lesson.

After pit crewing at the nearby Historic Car Races on Phillip Island, GeoDonna and I had some time to find a few caches.
This was to have been the 1st for the day.
After gathering the information, purchasing some cold drinks the "safe way", we headed off to find the cache. Got to the final location, only to face the 20 questions from a local. What with the who, why and what, the friendship was vanishing fast, very fast.
Like GO AWAY, WE ARE BUSY!
Obviously he had seen us enter the park and thought we were upto mischief.
He was on a bicycle and would not leave, so we did instead and will return to claim this one without MR Nosy hanging around.

This cache took me a while as I got side tracked at WP2. An interesting mix of what this town has to offer and like others the final hide had me scratching around and guessing for a while. Thanks Terry Jay.
Took us a little while at WP1 to figure out the reference to "giant visitor". Eventually a look in a different direction had us on the move again via WP2 to a quick find at GZ.

Found the interesting wp1 easily and then wp2. My calculated gz looked promising on approach but at first no cigar. A closer search suddenly and happily yielded a small cache! Thaks to Supersnazz and Terry_Jay for an interesting multi. The cache was rather damp inside although the log was ok. I removed a couple of damaged items for disposal.
Found @ 14:30. Made a mistake with the calcs for final GZ and found myself in a very unlikely spot. Corrected the error and moved to new GZ. Found after a short search. No frogs to be heard today. TNLNSL TFTC.
#8 of 26 finds in South and Western Gippsland, in company with acts2youthgroup. I found this one at 1145. I remember the first incarnation of this cache--it took me ages to find it. This was the case here too, but it shouldn't have been. We hunted around for 20 minutes or so, without success, before we decrypted the hint. That made us alter our search somewhat, but we had already searched there previously. We crawled around on our hands and knees once again, widening our search area, to no avail. Then Acts2YG decided to check out maths. We had an 'off by one' error in the latitude, which had us searching 36m from the real GZ. [B)] Once we corrected that, it was an easy find. I made no exchange. Thanks to Terry_Jay for the cache. Cheers, dak.
As we had found the previous Coal Miner's DAughter we approached wpt1 and wpt2 with a sense of de-ja-vue. We completed the caclulations and headed to gz which was also very familiar and the cache location was found much quicker than what our first attempt at it's predesscor had been.
The cache contents were a little damp so we dried them out the best we could and replaced the log book in a ziplock bag to protect it a little better

Found today at 15:15 by the whole clan and geo-puppy. A great tour of this lovely town - thanks. Cache container and contents were wet - we tipped water out and all seems ok but it might be worth a check up sometime. Not surprising really, as we had horizontal rain today! In: Cat, gold bracelet and one of our famous calling cards: Out: Eraser. Thanks again - Penguins
GZ seemed a logical place but as the grass seems to have been recently poisoned Lady Morris was relucctant to get down and dirty. Had nothing to do with "Geez I em in grass." Tnx for the tour
Found 15:00, we really enjoyed this replacement cache

Took my wife on her first ever cache experience. She enjoyed it immensely. Took a few wrong turns along the roads to GZ, but finally got there the long way. TNLN. Thanks.
This was a good orientation to Wonthaggi. Joe Possum enjoyed the hunt and an easy find at 6:45 pm.
Took a snake and left an "I Love My Dad" badge.
Thanks to Terry Jay for whatever they did to Supersnazz's cache.

An interesting drive around the back streets of a town I don't know. But got there without too much drama. No swaps, signed the log and back to the air conditioned car. Cheers.
In the area for a little R&R, I just had to do the nearby caches. I headed to this one with some fear and trepidation based on my experience with its predecessor however, this time there was nothing to worry about as the spot-on co-ords had me with the cache in hand at 17:00.

I've passed through Wonthaggi before, and liked the look of it, but have never stopped to see the sights. I didn't realize it had such a coal mining history and really enjoyed the tour which this, and a few other caches, gave me today. I had a slight hiccough with the 1st calculations, but that was easily fixed and the rest of the cache went smoothly - although the final location was a bit of a surprise as I guess I was expecting something a little more heritage-related .

Many thanks Terry Jay (and Supersnazz)

Found at 3.20pm GAFF5. The original CMD was one of the first caches we ever did and it gave us heaps of trouble taking us 2 visits to find. The co-ords to this one were spot on, but we still didn't locate it straight away. It took our little niece to go ferreting around to pull the well concealed container. Thanks Terry_Jay for resurrecting this one. tn/ln
Sixth of seven cache finds for the morning, the cache was found at 10:50. I had done the previous version of this cache so I already had part of the details, so I made my way to count the icons and then was soon at GZ, this cache reminded me of Elsie’s cache covered in couch grass. Thanks for the cache.
We wandered around the cache points once again but once at GZ, it was a bit of a haystack but even with thousands of possible hides, there didn't seem to be one obvious cache hiding spot in the general area. We noticed that since this cache was changed in October, the South Co-ords were changed but the East remained the same and we wondered if this was correct as the clue did not seem to make any sense in the location we were searching.
Thanks to Rabbitto for pointing out that I hadn't changed the Eastings from the old final resting place. The final Eastings have now been changed and lets hope that this cache remains in place and is easier to find than in the past Regards Terry Jay
Following an email from Mr Coffee and the caffine clan that the cache had been muggled and reset by them I had a quick squiss to-day and not only has the original cache gone, but the replacement by the Coffee clan has also gone missing. I have set a new cache in a more open area nearby which should be easier to find and better to hide.
Had a bit of a back-track later in the day as we didn't realise how close a waypoint was to another cache! Enjoyed this one apart from the actual find, I kept worrying we'd come across a shallow grave...
Picked up the first waypoint on the move and went straight to the second. I thought that the final one would be inside, but the GPS sent us in the opposite direction. A short walk in the light bushy area that is fast being converted to housing, and the cache was ours.
