Thats a cache in the middle of nowhere. Walked for what felt like an hour in the rain. Easy find though and SL at 11:20am.

10-May-24
Staying in Rutherglen taking advantage of the B&B accommodation we won at the Mega back in Easter last year we took the opportunity to grab a the very few caches we had not actually already found. We had some time to kill before checking into the B&B so we made our way to GZ to sign this oldie as it was high in our priorities on our to do list. The faint trail led us to the obvious hiding location where the unusual container was found in good condition. Thanks team RUB for maintaining this old placement.

24-Mar-24
Found with lorigus74. Having collected Ladder Challenge No1, we decided to trek in and grab this cache. It was a great morning for a walk. TFTC team RUB

Found it! Definitely felt like I was wandering onto private property; but I guess not!
Took: Nothing.
Left: Lego cow.
Thanks for the cache. Peace out ️

Thanks for the cache
And another part of Rutherglen that I have discovered, looks like a well worn path to this cache.
Sadly it is full of mostly geo crap, therefore TNLN

30-Apr-23
Found it pretty easily nice nature walk

28-Apr-23
Found with Sui_001 and Signed DSD during the Victorian Mega.

24-Apr-23
In the area with AnyMules, brisal5 and 6Hinemoa2 signing all logs as BAB6 to save space in the log books or their personal stamp. This may be the ageing Bushfires last Mega as the effects of advancing MND continues to advance but as I said that after the Whittlesea Mega, we will see.
I must thank my three mates and lots of other folk for all the help that I have received over the last year or so for which I will always be very grateful. This cache was found on our travels around this great area while attending the Mega Event in Rutherglen early April 2023.
You never know what life has in store for you so you must expect the unexpected.
Thanks to Wiser than Owls for placing this cache.

13-Apr-23
Caching around the area with +Wife after attending the Rutherglen Event.
We decided to stick around for another couple of days and see what else we could find.
This was one of them.

We are working our way through the area on our way home.

We always make the effort to search for older caches and hides in interesting areas.
This one did not disappoint.

Thanks for the cache, Team RUB.
Added to our list of favorites.

12-Apr-23
A few days ago we teamed up with a crew with a ladder and so managed to complete this ladder series. But we missed this cache, at the apex of the geoart. So today, we headed out to find nothing but multis, have solved a bunch that were released at the mega, and a bunch of lab caches we had missed earier, and this one traditional. Yeah, couldn't leave town without it!

Saw an interesting burrow. The animal that created it had flung the dirt out to over a metre from the entrance. A rabbit?

Found during an awesome 10 day Aussie trip, centered around the Rutherglen Mega event. Log signed as NZBITS, for NZ_B, Itchyfeet2020 and the Seagnoid.

12-Apr-23
NZ_B, the Seagnoid and I are here from NZ on our next geo adventure @ Rutherglen Mega. Today is Day 8 and with all main goals now conplete we are having a bitsy day. Heading around to pick up stray lab points, the new FTF multis and anything else on the way or looks fun. This cache was one of them! Logs are being signed as NZBITS for NZ_B, Itchyfeet2020 and The Seagnoid. TFTC. Trackable dropped.

12-Apr-23
After two big caching days we have decided to take things a bit easier today and find multis etc around Rutherglen.

Found with Itchyfeet2020 and the Seagnoid -signed as NZBITS. We are one group of several kiwis over here for the Rutherglen Mega at Easter. It’s going to great with so many sessions of things I want to learn about. PLUS so many caches to find.

Kia ora rawa atu for the cache team RUB.

Out and about caching around Rutherglen and districts within an hours drive. Found cache and signed log as JALEAR- a team name for 5 cachers to save space on logbook TFTC.

This turned out to be a slightly longer walk than I was first expecting but it was a nice evening for a walk. A quick find once I got to GZ.

10-Apr-23
It was an early start to the day a couple of quick ones is Albury and then a couple in Corowa before catching up with Domsky and the Roddy’s for more adventures.

Today was my chance to finish off and clean up a lot of loose ends in town. We pretty much started at one end and worked our way around. I was in car for part and another team for the rest, I even got to play on some Escooters for most of the BBBT. It was a fantastic day for me as I got to sit back and see the sights as well as finish off different series and the ones as we passed by.

The FTF series was one we finished and the planets was another. Got in some adventure labs as we passed also. All logs were signed and the usual different coloured pens depicted on who got it first, lol. Thanks again for the hides and the puzzles.

10-Apr-23
We found an entire 6x4 trailer full of shot gub shells. Simply amazing!

10-Apr-23
Returning from caching bridges and others at Howlong this was one on our return to do. Logs signed as JALEAR to save log space. Tidying up the map today proved fruitful. Thanks Team RUB.
Cheers and happy caching!

10-Apr-23
Finally at Rutherglen and here for a week caching as Team JALEAR (joojoo57, Aussie Liahona, Richmond Lad, Endeavour3, Team Astro and Deanside) Loads of caches found and signed as well as some interesting places visited. Thanks to all the COs who placed caches around the region for our enjoyment of finding.

10-Apr-23
It’s MEGA time! I’m in town with hundreds of other teams to enjoy the Rutherglen Mega. Plenty on offer, plenty to do, and another great Geocaching Victoria event. This is just one of the caches added to the collection on the adventure.

Our lackey worrellsquirell was looking to add a few caches to his D/T grid so we headed out to grab a few ladders. This was a cache I hadn’t collected whilst in town so we wandered further into this reserve. An interesting place here.

Thanks team RUB for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

Our third day caching in Rutherford with the group (TQ5).

We were able to ride most of the way on our E-Scooters and walk the remaining 30 metres or so to a fantastic old cache.

Log signed and cache replaced as found at 4:32 PM on April 10, 2023. TFTC, Team RUB

10-Apr-23
Another day on the trails with Hatzofff and RoddyC. All logs signed as TQ5 to save space and time.

Thanks to the COs for their efforts for putting out so many caches for us to find and explore the area.

There was certainly a lot of bang bang happening around here as I saw a trailer of bullet casings at the clubhouse and plenty more scattered around.

A nice cold brisk walk on Easter Monday as the sun has already set. At least the wind is lessening.
This was a very quick and easy find…. We wondered if it was still the same original container placed in 2006?
There certainly wasn’t a soul around today, not even a fellow cacher.
The gun/rifle club house and surrounds is very very neat and tidy.

10-Apr-23
1 gun or two.

Well punk, do you feel lucky?

Well do ya.....

Found out and about on the 2023 trip for the Rutherglen Mega. A massive fun experience with endeavour3, joojoo57, Richmond Lad and deanside (JALEAR) Thanks to team RUB and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet! [^]

Time to start the long winding journey home today collecting the remainder of the FTF Explosion multi's ones that came out yesterday along with any others that cross our path.

All caches found quickly log signed and replaced as found. Lots of guns firing here today.

Thanks for the cache hide Team RUB and thanks for the fun weekend Rapidlywild.

Well it is finally time for The Rutherglen Mega and I was able to take a couple of extra days off work and come up early so I could get the most out of the Easter break.
After setting up the van and then offering my services to help set yesterday my caching buddy finally arrived.
After a big day and evening yesterday another big day was planned today.
Day 2 and the festivities are starting today so it is going to be like a four day Mega so I teamed up with GemmaSistema again to find a few more.
After a nice walk round the lake in the morning and then the opening ceremony it was time to get back to what we do best and that is finding caches around town and the country back roads and this was one of them.
After finding a lot of the Easter series caches it was nice to break it up with an occasional trad or multi along the way.
After completing the ladder series I noticed this green dot on my map so I came back to look for this one.
Thankfully no Bang Bang around here today but definitely a trailer load of casings.

Thanks Team RUB TFTC.

Today was clean up day. After a big weekend already, today was our last day around the Rutherglen area so we focused on cleaning up where we could. Our main focus was collecting the new FTF Explosion multis that were released yesterday so after gathering the required information for them yesterday afternoon and last night, we had a heap of solved ready to be found. Read some interesting information boards along the way.

Thanks for the cache placement Team RUB and thanks FFLL for another fun filled weekend.

Out and about, in the company of the Suscoe team, we double checked the signs, knew there would be flags if the range was occupied -- all clear and we enjoyed the walk to GZ.

Attending the Rutherglen Event.
Out caching with Kiscardi and Agazo. Signing as KAM.
We came by here the other day to collect a ladder but didn’t have time to walk to this one as we had to follow the ladder owner. Today the gate was open ?? and we drove to the bang bang club for a much shorter walk.

Out for a morning trip with our good friends from Phetlern. A delightfully mild start to the day and we headed to Howlong.
After the bridges, a couple of Ad Lab locations and an Easter Bunny moment at the Bakery, we headed to this walk.

Day 1 of our loop through Vic and SA then home.

Fitzy_1965 and I left home early this morning with an easy run down the highway to Rutherglen. We arrived in time to set up camp then make our way to lunch event.

After the event we teamed up to do the ladder series signing logs as Canberra Mob to save space. Thanks so much for this great little series.

Bang bang was found whilst in this reserve

#17456 - 3:21:00 PM; Day 2 of the Rutherglen Mega mission. After spending the night in Deniliquin it was time to head for Rutherglen with stops along the way in Tocumwal, Cobram and Yarrawonga for a few caches and another county. An unscheduled stop in Bundalong to change a flat tyre meant unloading and reloading the geomobile, but still managed to make it to Rutherglen for the lunchtime event, before joining a large group to tackle the Ladders of Rutherglen series, then joining Sol de lune, albida33 and fitzy_1965 to collect a few more caches before the evening event. Thirty one finds, including two events and a flat tyre for the day! All caches were found in good condition and replaced as found. Logs signed as 'The Canberra Mob' or 'TMG' to save log space for the large group of Canberra Cachers in the much larger group here for the climb. The group headed over for a find on this cache after completing the ladder cache nearby. Apologies for the largely generic logs! TFTC team RUB Smile

30,278. Found with minniek as part of 'Canberra Mob' to save space on cache logs.

Rutherglen Mega and South Australia Trip Day 1. An early morning departure from Goulburn had us getting into Rutherglen to check in, set up camp, and then head over to the lunchtime event. A great way to kick start the Mega for us, and we caught up with many people we haven't seen for a while, and some we saw a few days ago - Lol. Pretty soon though the 'Canberra Mob' got together and hit the road for some ladder raising fun - unfinished business for some of us from a previous visit. While we were in the area we walked in to make a quick find on this one.

Thanks Team RUB !!

Found with FUF009. Caching as FUSH.
Our 1st full day caching in Rutherglen.
It was a mixed assortment of cache types and finds, resulting in both of us crashing in a tired heap.
No snakes other than during non caching sections.
We highly recommend the pizza place in Rutherglen! Tftc

Well, some of the group made their way up the ladder, others walked a little further onto this one.
Names were added to the log as Canberra Mob and NZ Bits

There was just enough time to find one more cache before the Mega lunch event today. Having completed the ladder series on a previous visit to the area, this trad stood out amongst the smiley faces on my map, so it had to be logged.
With reports of several snake sightings lately, I was quite vigilant as I made my way to GZ, through long grass at times. Navigating around several large spider webs, I achieved my goal without encountering any wriggly sticks.
Thank you Team RUB.

The Canberra mob met up again at the Rutherglen Mega Thursday Lunch Event and made plans for the afternoon's caching adventure. This was one of the caches on the list that was found successfully and signed as such to save space. We were happy to have non-Canberrans join us in the hunt for some of this afternoon's caches. Some that were attempted had previously been DNFs, some were ALs, others were multis and traditionals. Thanks to all the COs who placed and maintain these caches for us to find.

Day #2 of 2 [13/3]
After my big day of caching ever, yesterday, I decided that today would be a smaller and quieter day. I decided on starting the day at a more reasonable time of 9am instead of the 4…something am, I had yesterday. Today’s main focus was the caches near the ‘Wine Bottle’, the challenges, tree climbs and finding a multi. It was that order I found these caches cache types. As my TOTT wasn’t high enough for some of the tree climbs, I reached out to the Drovers who happily supplied the larger TOTT so I could find them. I ended up with about 30 finds for today and arrived home at about 4:40pm. It was another fun day of caching and I’m looking forward to the mega in about a month time.

While finding the tree climb series, The Drovers and I headed out to find this one as well. A nice quick find for this historic cache. We didn't know this one was a 2006 cache until the return trip when we checked the cache description while walking back to the nearby tree climb. Always nice to find a pre-2010 cache. Now onto the next tree climb.

TB visit on caches. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I found today and for allowing them to bring me and the caching community enjoyment. Big Grin TFTC’s Big Grin

Our last day in Rutherglen, before heading home.

We meet up with JohnoMawbs to lend him our ladder, then we headed to this one together.

Thanks for the cache! It’s a very nice hide.

After a day of chemo and radiation treatment at the hospital I wasn’t feeling really yucky in the head so thought picking up a cache would help. It’s helped the head, but I feel like I’m going to spew everywhere as I didn’t factor in the walk.
