Cache was not hidden in correct position, and gets wet as a result. Time to Archive.

Heading South for a week away at wor so thought that while the rain stays away I better stop for the odd cache, to break up the driving.

Found with the Grandkids, we took them to Ruapehu and showed them some easy caches along the way. TFTC.

A pretty normal sort of cache hide in our Skindoland home area, so quite quickly found by Ewelou and son at the start of our return home. Had a quick look into the canal and 3-year-old Lachie (grandson) suggested I should go kayaking there! I don't think so.

Nice and easy find - stopped here on the way back from an awesome day snowboarding at Tukino, We did not have a pen, all I could find in the car was a stamp with a monkey face on, so there is a row of blue monkey faces in the log book to show we were there

Was on my way north and decided that a short detour was called for, arriving at GZ managed to find a car-park not far from GZ and then off to the cache. Found the cache quickly in the first spot that I looked, but did noticed that the co-ordinates were a bit out, but this wasn't any issues here today. No signs of any poachers here today, this is a good sign, what a nice spot for a cache, thanks for bringing me to this lovely location, really a nice day to visit GZ today, TFTC TNLNSL (3522)

Find #775. The third for the day on the way to Auckland from Wellington. Initially, we didn’t plan on detouring off State Highway 1 and searching for the cache, but since we missed it on our last trip up here, and the rain was still holding off (in fact, it was rather sunny and warm at times!), we added it to our list of caches to do about 2 km before the turnoff down State Highway 46. Arriving back at the GZ after a few months brought back a few memories, but they were short lived as the cache was remarkably quickly located. How on earth we missed it last time, we don’t know! SL TFTC. Good spot.

GPS was very exact on the location and we searched for a long time for this one but for a simple cache it eluded us. Noted that it was found two days ago. Won't be back this way for a long t5ome but will try again.

Did a small diversion on the way back to Wellington this afternoon to get this one. Found quickly. Signed log, TFTC.

An easy find and a great place to stop since I was on a cycling tour, following the Waikato River ( en route to it) and after replacing the cache it was all downhill. A solo effort since the rest of the team were otherwise occupied.

Took a few minutes of searching while Little Blue Hen kept a watchful eye on the highway traffic. TFTCSL

A quick stop off on our way through, and found in good order after a short search. The road was very quiet this morning which helped. Nice clean water flowing fast through the canal. Many thanks.

[ At long last, found at 0920 NZDT within 2 minutes of looking. Can not understand why it was so difficult now it is found, maybe I am a little wiser and more methodical. . I have visited this cache 5 times in the last month or two to no avail. Last no find visit was on 16/10/2009, didn't even attempt to look as road works in progress on threshold. A good hide which was so very frustrating yet simple.

We did a family day out an looked for 17 caches. This is cache 12 for us. We didn't find it. I think we were looking on the wrong side of the road. We will get this one later.

We rushed up to check the next day and it was still there, hidden in its usual place.

Stopped at 7.40pm with headlights and touch as the only source of illumination. Combed structure thoroughly for not result. Abandoned after ten minutes as driving to Wellington.
