Out this way to find some beach caches while walking along Parsons and Waitpinga beach. Peaceful stroll with cool weather made for a good caching run. Great spot, cache is tucked away and is all good. Cheers.Find #6423 on 27 Dec 2023.TFTC voogoofish!SAs Leap Year Event - GCA1DNA - Feb 29th, 2024. Keep the date free!
There are plenty of hidey holes around here but the hint had me in the right spot pretty quickly. What a great place for a cache. TFTC
Great spot for a cache, found with Hill2Sea while doing a Heysen section today. The surf looked pretty big today but the surfers told us it was pretty tame. Thanks for hiding a cache for us to find.
Found during a stay in Victor Harbor for a 5 day visit. Today I met up with Team Waldron to search for caches near Parsons and Waitpinga. Highlight of the walk was to see a pair of the iconic Hooded Plovers here on Parsons Beach (and another pair earlier in the day at Waitpinga Beach). Cache was located after a short search. Thanks for the cache voogoofish-Gozling-Nursesmith gang!
Today along with Featherwaite was the day to clear up Waitpinga and surrounds.
Time for another beach walk. Weather was on our side and once at GZ the cache was quickly found.

TFTC. Found on a catch-up walk for Heysen Trail. One of my favourite sections having done more than half the trail now
Sir_spectre had to work down south, so a caching adventure was planned. OMG I hate walking on soft sand but eventually got to this one. A bit on hunting and cache was in hand.
Thanks for the adventure and the exercise.

Since my truck needed a day and a bit for a major service and some minor repairs on the air con system. I got based at victor harbor today. Walked across the sand, over 1km of it each way was soft. Just what i needed after a 11.5 over shift. I did detour to the nearby multi on route. Found the cache with spot on co ords. Surprised to find the original cache container ( it's going yellow from the UV rays but still waterproof ) and logbook from 2006. Nice location. No fisher people here today. Found with mogni.
In all are travels we would not have even thought to traveled to this location.

TFTC Thank you for hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity. Cache is in good condition.
This geocache has been on my radar for many years now but now that I can drive I decided to come out here for a delightful stroll along the beach. A very nice location which I've only ever visited for school but loved it and was good to find the original container still in good condition.

After our walk this morning we headed out in the car this afternoon to find a few more caches and explore some more of the area. It's been over 12 years since we were last here and we didn't get a lot of exploring done then. The wind has eased off slightly since this morning, although it's still fairly gusty.
Ummed and ahhed as to whether we continued on to this cache or not and decided to go for it. The clouds were an ominous black and threatening rain, but we managed to get to the cache and back to the car before anything happened. Spotted a bit of wildlife on the way there and back with a kangaroo just standing on the side of the track and not moving at all as we went past, then a seal frolicking in the sea, and at GZ we spotted quite a few 'lizards'. Signed the logbook and left a TB, then headed back to the car where we met 'Australia's only professional Maggot farmer'. We asked him about the 'lizards' and he reckoned they were spiny tail skinks and that we were lucky to see so many. tftc

Decided today was a nice day for a walk along the beach, after getting a couple on the headland we strolled down the beach not a sole around, found the cache all safe and secure and noted it has been nearly 12 months since the last finder. Loved the rocks at the headland a bit of earth history here.

Have been wanting to do this one for years now, finally got down here to this stunning beach. Found with the geoteens who braved very wet conditions, as it was pouring with rain for most of the walk from the carpark, albeit it was warm. Found after a minute of hunting, cache was in good condition, and well protected. Spectacular views from GZ and a lovely walk along the beach. Signed log. Another great voogoofish cache
This was one of my favourite caches found today.
Caching with 3LG and The X-trailers for 5 days around Victor Harbor.
A fav point today.

Found with The X Trailers on holidays here from Qld and earthlight as well, it was a great 4 days with plenty of laughs along the way, toady we are now starting to make the homeward journey and the weather is quite nice to us with only a small passing shower, was a fairly quick find after walking along the beach and along the way spotted a Portuguese man of war, lots of dead porcupine fish, a dead weedy sea dragon and a couple of dead birds, cache is still in good condition.TFTC
We were doing a 3 day walk along the Heysen trail. Day 2 and VERY VERY windy. A tough walk along those narrow paths feeling like we were about to be blown over the edge. Stopping for the cache gave us the opportunity to have a snack and a bit of a rest before continuing along the trail. Thanks voogoofish
I took my fishing rod along the beach and tried my luck luring for salmon in the gutter halfway along but didn't catch anything - the tides and the moon were wrong, or maybe it was the fault of the devil's number - can't have been my fishing skill.
The upside was I continued walking to GZ and found this cache. Helped to blunt the disappointment of no fish.

Walked on from Clergyman @ Newland to get this one with Stretch19 on our impromptu trip down south. The beach was amazing and the cache was in good condition, though I crushed my finger between two rocks while picking around GZ - yeowch!
I did take a photo with this cache as evidence of my find for the Scouts Geocaching Competition (I am claiming this cache on behalf of my team, 'Schnaut'). Note that it may be a spoiler!

A pleasant walk along the Parsons beach (about 1 km) and return the same way. Thanks voogoofish.
Two visitors in one day !
We've been wanting to get on the sand all day, so there was no reason to leave this one, even though we'd walked several kilometres already .
We could see footprints going all the way to the end, so we suspected this one had had a visit already today as well . Our third cache in a row following Laighside Legends .
An awesome place [^]! Took keyring. Left spinning top. SL.
Thanks Voogoofish, Gozling & NurseSmith.

What a walk! but it was worth it for the view and the cache! If groundspeak would let me I would give this one a favorite point! Other than a couple of fishermen at the end I had the beach to myself...

A great walk along the deserted beach. I was hoping that it would not be a DNF as it would have been a long walk back. Luckily the co-ords were spot on and even though there were numerous hiding places, found it after about a minute of looking. Sat and watched the surf for a while before retracing my steps. TFTC.
A nice day today for a long walk in the soft sand, saw half a dozen surfers & a few people fishing along the beach.
An easy find, T: Glass Beads, L: SES keyring & 2 Bracelets.

Found on the Keeping Ahead Tour 2009.
We battled through the wind and the soft sand (and a sore knee) to arrive at the geological feature. Interesting how the granite is in thin sheets.
The cache was found shortly after completing the walk.
Now for the walk back to the vehicle as darkness falls.
Thanks for the cache.

It's not often that we get to go caching this far from home, but as we are both very fortunate to have a couple of weeks off - - -. By good planning or design this cache was on our list.
What a wonderful way to finish a great day out caching. We found a dead seal on the rocks as we approached the cache. It will stink here for a couple of days.
Took: Nothing

That was quite a walk especially through the soft sand. Parts of the beach were inaccessable because of the high tide so we had to resort to walking on the top of the sandhills. A stunning area and a great caching adventure. Found the cache without any problem. Left gc
Another big walk today.
Easy find as I had a 1.4 kilometre geotrail left by Liz and Bruce.
Stopped to have a little dip in the ocean on the way back

Mr & Mrs Barra had camped in the Newland Conservation Park, and we walked to this cache and the Clergymans cache, that makes it a round trip close to 10 K'S.
This was a beautiful day for caching, we had seen dolphins in the surf, found a lost flying kite, and this lovely cache. Followed the coast around, whished we had gone a bit further to the next beach.
Left a white teddy, and took what we call the Easter Bunny.
Now to walk back and nurse the muscles and sunburn.
Happy Easter from Mr & Mrs Barra

Went for a great walk along this beach. The only footprints in the sand. Great day, great cache location. Thoroughly enjoyed this one. TFTC
What a great walk along this beach. It was well worth the exercise. We enjoyed the views, the beach to ourselves and the cache find at the end. The cuppa when we made it bakc to the car eventually was also much enjoyed. Left a heart and took a leopard. Thanks for the experience voogoofish- we'll put htis one on our list of great ones.

One of the best cruzy caches i have done! This cache is what caching is realy all about for me, just going for a nice walk! Even better was that my GPS ticked over to 10000k's! (Which means its only cost about 70 cents per kilometer!) Thankyou very much for thsi one, very enjoyable.

Beautiful day. Easy walk along the beach at low tide. A fair bit of rock-hopping involved in finding the cache.
BTW, for those interested the descent and ascent involve a change of altitude of some 40 metres.

Found 12:10. Day 3 of our Fleurieu Caching Holiday, 4th of 10 FFTD. What a perfect day for caching (Like everyday !). Both Mr C and Mr E decided that a visit down south couldn't be complete without a visit to the beach to catch some rays and feel the sand beneath our feet. For some reason the rest of our teams didn't want to join in our walk along the beach. When has a liitle rain hurt anyone? . After all everyone has been complaining about the distinct lack of rain in recent times, that you would think that they would want to feel that rain against their bodies, their loss!! Great walk along the beach, better on the way back. Took: TB, Left: Wet , SL. TFTC.

2nd for the day out with Team Ermalesh. With rain bucketing down Mr E and Mr C decided it would be fun to do this cache. the word crazy comes to mind. They found the cache, but not their sanity and came back looking drenched. TNLN TFTC. We highly recommend this cache in rain or shine.
Magnificent spot Father Fish. The Easter weather was perfect and the walk was fun.
Plenty of fisher folk but only a couple of tommys being caught. According to Garmin hunting and fishing was poor at the particular time we were there.
Co-ordinates spot on. To the meter. Makes looking for a cache so much easier. Thanks mate.
Lovely left hander at that end of the beach.

There always seems to be a southerly blowing around here. Makes the walk back a breeze. Plenty of fisherpersons with empty buckets. Just one with a small Tommy. Check the pictures to get the feel of this one.

A strong head wind made it quite hard work getting to the cache, but it was easy getting back.
I really enjoyed this walk. Even though it was quitewarm, there was not another person on the beach (see photo). No swap

Took a walk on a brisk morning. Sand is very soft here. Actually was easier to run than try to trudge through it. Try as I might, I couldn't find any hard sand to walk on.

Was a bit windy down south today but at least it was dry so I had a nice walk to grab this cache. Ran into a couple of hikers who were resting less than 10m from cache as well. They were interested in the caching game so hopefully we may have a couple more new players!
