There has been some serious accidents and near misses on the corner of Coolamon Rd and the Pacific Highway where the access to this cache is so in the interests of safety I am retiring it, apologies.....
What a wonderful trip this has been, with my geobrother MrGrubstake. TFTF SL Moshima from Orem, Utah, USA
Hmmmm.... found it - log still very wet but did sign it. Did not show as being disabled on my GPS - but was a fairly old download. Great view! Now we are home and logging all our great cache finds!
My sister (Moshima – Utah USA) and I (MrGrubstake – Montana USA) flew to Sydney for three days, then took the “Volendam” cruise ship around New Zealand for two weeks (we found at least one geocache in each of seven ports of call) and back to Sydney. We then rented a caravan for two weeks wandering up the eastern coast enjoying a new country to us and finding many geocaches along the way. We quickly grew to love both countries! Thanks go to all the local geocachers who placed caches to make the trip even more wonderful.

What a great view. The log is still a bit damp and it seems too large for the container but the cache is still in-situ. TFTC
The container is soaked, logs are falling apart and really needs replacing with a more water-proof container. The spot is great but the logs really need replacing as everything is soaked and disintegrating.
Today i was here with my Bicycle.
Nice localization by this nice weather.

Excellent Find on the way to towns ville. very easy, but good all the same. Found with Burgergirl and Braelair. The log is very wet and sodden really needs replacement and water protection.
We have driven past this lookout many times on days when the view is spectacular. Today was not one of those days!. The rain was horizontal, the visibility was down to 100 metres and the gale force wind blew our umbrella inside out. Luckily it was a quick find then back into the warm dry car. TFTC azucar.

Great spot! Watched some gliding action and remote control plane flying, as well as taking in the magnificent view! Thanks!
What an amazing view of cape Byron. Easy find. Lots of muggles though ye old private phone call a little away made it easy. Quick stop on way to Kingscliff for Xmas. TFTC. SAC.

Enjoyed the view like so many times before, but with a nice bonus today!! Have been there around 12 am. Not too bad with Muggles today... TFTC
nice easy find. beautiful view. we've been past this lookout sooo many times and just havent had a reason to stop.
Found today at 4:40pm. Certainly is a wonderful spot here. Such great views. Found the cache and all is well except that fortunately someone has added an extra piece of paper but that is filling up fast too. So this cache could do with a visit. The owner could remove the old log and put new ones in. We signed with difficulty, fighting to stay upright against a very fierce wind this afternoon. Wind surfers delight. Thanks for bringing us here azucar. SL.TFTC.
A must stop on the highway north or south bound. Great views and nice spot for a cache. Thanks for bringing me here, driven past a lot and never spotted before! #10/20 for the day. Half way!

Found at 10:45.
Absolutely spectacular views from here - I actually wish the cache was bigger because I have a couple of GC's that I brought back from NZ and Japan that would have loved to have been left there for a while...
Anyway, a quick find during breaks in the surprisingly frequent traffic. Muggles kept stopping at the carpark, but a small truck with a sleeping driver shielded me.
Thanks azucar

Found at 9.55am GAFF1. A bit tricky to stop here with the van especially as we were heading south - but it was worth it for the view to see where we were the day before.
Thanks azucar.
Thanks azucar.
signed log and watched some guys flying toy gliders.
great view but very windy
great view but very windy
found it while watching the gliders soar over the cliff. TFTC and bringing us to this spot to watch the gliders .SL
What a great view to the east. Found this one near sunset, a great spot. TFTC.
[Found with bristracker. This was a lovely place. I particularly liked the cows on the property opposite the cache.] I thought the use of fake cow poo was a good covering for the hide.
Quite windy this morning at 0840. Found it on my way to Kingscliff for an SES training course. TFTC.
Good little cache to find on a run home from Maclean. Was busy looking out to sea, turned round to find golden sun setting behind cattle over road from cache. Ran for camera, but within seconds smoke haze from the fires further south had turned sun red and after that it was impossible to pick up in photos. Lovely scene, people were stopping and grabbing their cameras. TFTC.
Loved this one! After navigating our way here from Lismore, the GPS failed to tell us that we had arrived, I went sailing around the corner onto the wrong road completely unaware that we had passed it as I was saying " what a beaut place for a cacahe, why hasnt anyone placed one here?"
Eventually we stumbled across the cache down the road "Crystal Clear" & then came back to see this cache magically appear on the GPS!
Quick find at dusk, asked a local why the dust storm was still around when it was coming from the sea? She replied that it was not dust but smoke from some bushfires in Queensland! thought it smelled like smoke.

Found 14:55 the views would have been great except for the sea spray from the strong winds today. TNLN thanks.
Found this one on our way up to the Sunshine Coast for a week of caching. The weather wasn't kind to the view. It was rainy so we couldn't see too far. Found the cache fairly easily. The log is very mouldy and should be replaced. Would love to come back when they are hang gliding from here. TNLNSL TFTC

It was wet and windy as I jumped out of the car to find the cache, I was glad of a nice quick find as I was being blown away, I have a friend who would love this spot as he is in to paragliding, it was his research into gps for that, that lead me into geocacing. Thanks azucar for the cache.
I remember stopping at this lookout when I first drove through this area about 25 years ago. At the time I thought I had found paradise - views to Byron and the coast North are still paradisical (is that a word??). Anyhow, I found the cache, signed log and replaced it just in time as another car parked near GZ.
Found at 4.40pm. Great views with the late afternoon sun. Log was quite damp. Maybe needs some maintenance. TFTC
Thankyou for bringing us to this lookout, I would normally watch the white lines as I travel around, however this time the world was brought to my attention, cheers.
I put in a temporary log paper with the old log as it was a little fragile. The old one can still be written on though.

This one brings back lots of memories as I grew up in Bangalow and this was a regular stopping point for our family to check out conditions before heading off to the beach. At that time it was only a lookout with no picnic tables and very little parking but still a great area.
Second visit to this cache. stopped by on the way to the gold coast the week before but some kind of sales rep was parked right near by and wouldn't leave. This visit nobody but us. Beautiful view

Easy find after intimidating the tourists hanging around GZ . They weren't on the main road before we had the cache. TN/LN/SL. Great spot to stop and look at the view. Unfortunately, it was a bit hazy so no photos .
Found on the great Top Gear tour with Geo-uncle Lat & Long Junkie, love the view. Fantastic spot to stop at, TFTC
The view from here is something I can never get enough of. I grew up in Byron so this spot is special to me. Easy find despite muggles about.

Absolutely Breath Taking views, It was a nice warm sunny day with cool breeze. TFTC
Enjoyed the views & cool breeze while waiting for muggles to go. I really love this place. TFTC
Good spot - its great to have highway cahes to break up the trips. Easy find TFTC
Stopped for a stretch on the way home from Christmas holidays. Made a dash between muggles to retrieve the cache and then had to wait and make another dash to replace it. Glad the view made the wait worthwhile. TFTC
A quick dash and log and our last cache of the evening on our way to Surfers for the night. Cheers Gav [3324]
Found with the kiwi team on our great Australian caching tour.
Gave some campervan persons a fright at night, mmm... didn't look like a motorcamp.

Found this one as were driving from Coffs Harbour to Brisbane. It worked out great as one of the kids wanted to stop and take photos of the spectacular view and lo and behold we found there was a cache there too. Bonus!!
#420 - Today was very hazy so there was little view, but I know from previous visits what a good view it can be. Thanks for the cache
a very rare event for me - finding a cache which others have failed to find - usually it is the other way around!
found quickly on a very wet Tuesday - cache is damp (which was pretty good, given the conditions and past few days) could only just log it. Next time I head through will try to drop off some dessicant.

Had to drive to Lennox Head and back today, so no real time for geocaching. I grew up in this area, and as we passed here Dad always said it was where they pushed the red cedar logs off to get them down the valley. Don't quote me, but it's called McLeods Shoot I think. Anyway, stopped in the dark on the way home and had an easy find with the torch. TNLN TFTC
The views are great from here of the area. TFTC / TNLN. Greetings from South Africa.
It was raining very heavily so I got into and out of the car three times before I found this cache. Nice hide. Thanks for providing my only cache on a 800k drive from Terrigal to the Gold Coast.
Finally got this one, on only my 5000th time (well maybe not that many. Finding the lookout not crawling with people is hard. But with persistece and patience (and a bit of clever sneeking) I finally got it.
Only one other car stopped off at the cache enjoying the view so we adopted the always successful divide tactic whereby mr bloopy walked straight towards the muggles to distract attention away from mrs bloopy while she nabbed the cache. Same tactic after the log was signed proved highly successful.
