A nice quick find here today, emptied water out but new log by GT54 was mostly dry. Tftc
cache find #3460 We have just placed a cache in this park now that the local council have been very busy beautifying the parkland and planting of new trees. We remembered a cache being archived here somewhere, so today we came back and had a good look around now that the lantana has been partly cleared. A short time later MrGT54 yelled out that he had found the cache. The lid was off the container and the cache contents were very dirty, wet and soggy and a total mess. We cleaned it up best we could. Dried the old log book out. Have put a replacement log sheet and new baggy into the cache so that hopefully the cache will remain in play. Replaced the cache where we found it.
As there has been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, or it has been a number of months since the last owner note I am archiving this cache to keep from continually showing up in search lists and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.
If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact a reviewer (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, the reviewer will be happy to unarchive it.
Should you replace the cache after 30 days has passed please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.

The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary. Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 30 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness. If you require more time please be sure to post a note (not an email) explaining the situation and how much more time you require. For ongoing issues please ensure you visit the page and post a note every month or so to keep everyone up to date.
The CO for this has not replied to our needs maintenance and is no longer active member last visit 2006?
Due to the recent floods and high river levels, it is possible that this cache has been washed away. The lantana was too thick to get through. DNF.
TFTC I felt like I was reenacting the song 'going on a bear hunt'. Long wavy grass, thick, oozy mud, etc. fortunately no bear at the end, but some lantana. Err, give me the bear. A previous log gave the hint I was needing to expand my search a bit more. It is not on the other side of the fence.
Log is damp, but not unmanageable. There was water in the box. Some good swaps but the water rendered them into a not so sterling condition. I took the bandana, as it was getting a bit mouldy. I wear these canteen bandanas at work every night. So it is going to a good home. Thanks so much whoever put it in there. I left a girls beaded necklace. I didn't feel I left an equal trade, so next time I'm in the area, I will rectify that and bring a new plastic snap bag for the trades also.

Geo Girls were both going to Holiday Programme up North until Youngest Geo Girl said "Dad could I come caching with you today".
Well I thought that was great both that she wanted to go with me all day and I was flying solo today so I said YES.
I thought we would go along the Waterford Tamborine Rd today so we locked in the caches and off we went.
I think I had a case of cache blindness on this one but I couldn't find it.
Thanks Eze fixed

Relogging this under individual account, previously a member of Gaz'n'Kab account.
After work today we headed off in search of this cache, we were met with a very nice park that if not for geocaching we would have never happened across.
After short walk to GZ we soon had the cache in hand and the log was being signed. We then ventured down the the river and admired the beauty.

Another spot I would have never thought twice about if not for geocaching. A great, open park here and enjyed the stroll across the lawn towards the river, horses in the neighbouring paddock wandering around being horsey. Arrived at GZ and had a look around to no luck. Hmm, read past logs and noted someone had mentioned walking through the long grass. Ah huh, I see a beaten track, so in I went and sure enough it led right to a cache. Great park here, and a nice little walk. TFTC.
A nice quiet little park on a Saturday arvo.
There were some muggle horses watching but there was more interesting stuff happening like grass to be eaten.
Thanks for the cache Eze_Fixed. Cheers.
While signing the log one of those pesky cache stalking ninjas jumped on in.

After not finding our first two geocaches today, we were very glad to find this one Cache was very wet. Apart from being soggy, this one was a very pleasant find in a lovely quiet spot. TFTC
went out early for this one went straight to it. Out TB., IN pastic clip on frog, thanks Eze fixed TFTCSL
Found this one today. It has been on my list of caches to find for a while but never got around to going there. Hasn't been found since May but it is still in good working order. TFTC left TB
This was the larst for our days outing to the south of the north. Was a nice stroll to GZ and then we all got eaten by the long grass. Cache soon found by following the trail of black and white plastic that has started to fall to shreads.
JABs.
JABs.
A cache less visited this one - but these are the ones I like! GZ is pretty well overgrown but still accessible. Cache in good condition - but plastic bags are disintegrating. TFTC!
Forgot to log this one earlier. So many caches in one day it was a marathon. Wonder if it will ever be a recognised sport? TFTC
This looked like it was in an interesting location, so we included it in our afternoons cache hunt. Have to admit we were quite worried about the length of the grass. And following someone else's comments we headed down for the riverside. Not long later we found ourselves back on top still on the hunt. Black back almost in shreds. Friend put a new plastic bag on the outside, but as it was white we re-wrapped the black bits back around the outside. TFTC. SL. Traded some goodies. Took trackable for moving on.
Lots of long grass. Coming from the top it was a little better. Stomped our way through begging the snakes to leave us alone. They took pity on us and hid away so we didn't see any. Located the cache. All is good. Friend, Bristracker, supplied new plastic coat as old one is shredding. Left little coin purse with coins. TN. TFTC. SL.
A very pleasant spot. This was one where earlier logs were helpful. I now know what a geo-trail is. Left a Porsche and some mauve nail polish. Saw no black pawkeets but did find a wallet and money scattered on the grass on our way back to geovehicle. After some detective work (which we geocachers are good at) we were able to reunite these items with their owner later in the evening.
Found at 1640 Hrs. There is plenty of long dry grass and weeds here, but a short hunt proved successful - I just followed the geo-trails.
Found a Travel Bug Buddy - OSHINDOG and the Penguins, with no trackable numbers on it and from a internet site that was new to me. I left it there as I dont know what is expected of a finder. TNLN.
Thanks Eze fixed

Great oval ,take the high ground if it has been raining ,very wet under foot ,great hidding spot
Almost had to swim for this one across the field after all the rain! found almost straight away though just into the dark, just looked for the most prominent feature. TNLNSL; TFTC.
Found at 11.35am. Getting close to GZ it was a quick follow the geotrail. Made some swaps and signed the log. TFTC
First of six for the day. Nice easy find.
It seems the pen needs replacing or BYOP.

Didn't take to long the find this one although tried to take the easy way out and look at the top first.
Found it after a bit of stumbling around in the lantena, but it was not there. It was in the last place I looked at. Need to get my gps tool checked for river banks. TFTC
A nice quick find to let the urban' Roo TB have a little freedom for a while while he grazes in the parkland with some mates. Watch out for the big black ants when signing log. Did not give them much of a chance to latch on otherwise we might have been hopping around instead of Urban'Roo. TFTC Left Urban'RooTB and took nothing. SL
Very deserted today except for the farmer over the fence ploughing. Nice walk. Thanks Eze fixed.
Found with Smeeagain in tow found quickly though someone who shall remain nameless decided the ants needed some exercise

Hey, what about snakes? Crikey, I reckon even Steve would have been reluctant to poke around in there for too long, but the geo tracks took me to the cache eventually. A really nice spot but what does that name mean? TFTC TN left token.
A nice spot with the huge park and relaxing river. A bit of traipsing required. TFTC
I had a little time after dropping in at the mechanic nearby to nab this secret little treasure TFTC
Strange little parkland this... Wonder if it ever gets used ??? Maybe during summer it might be a popular spot to get access to the adjacent creek.
GZ found without any troubles and upon arriving we thought we were going to be in for a tough search with all the long grass around. But a bit of clever reasoning about "now where would I hide a cache in this location" and viola!! the cache was found .
The geokids made a couple of small swaps.
Thanks for the hunt Eze fixed

Set out with geo grandkids, not an easy find but finally we got it.Took toy car and left travel bug,Orat and Bria,s Bear.TFTC Silky Seekers XXX
Made the trip out to this cache to get the geocoin. The cache is in good condition and well protected by the long grass in the area.
Cache contianing my TB coin has not been found for a while - last log was a DNF - can owner please check?
Searched around in the long grass for a bit without any luck. Grass is quite thick and the council have recently covered the GPS location with grass clippings that could be covering the cache. Rechecked on the 1st of Jan without luck.

Found by Sunshine Toledo at 12:26pm. Can't believe this cache hasn't been found for months. Quite an easy find along a lovely river on a warm Winter's day. In: yoyo Out: red car. TFTC
Well, it was a nice walk down to the river, though I seemed to be a long way from the cache - hmmm. After telling my GPSr what was going to happen to it if it didn't play nice, I found the cache. How about that? Who said swearing at inanimate objects was just a display of bad temper?
So, I signed the log, grabbed a China geocoin and left a bendy pencil. Mrs Lat&Long is off to China shortly, so the coin may like to visit with her. This lovely spot for a picnic is certainly tucked away from the casual observer. Another plus for geocaching [:X][:X][:X]

Had the grandsons over and they said, "Pop, can we go geocaching?". What a silly question. Where to, was the problem with limited time.
This has been the closest unfound cache in my list for quite a while and was more or less in the direction we had to go to take them home so why not.
The boys enjoyed the hunt and the cache was found easily. The contents were pawed over but only the geocoin taken. I left the China geocoin. Thanks for the hunt.

Real Teletubbies territory around here at the moment [:o]
The neatly mown greener than green grass was giving me nightmares of an impending assault by strange brightly coloured, fuzzy beings bounding after me. The bright sunny weather didn't help my feelings either
Fortunately the cache was easily found and not a single 'lala' was heard
Thanks for a fun, if not a bit scary cache. I'd rather face a bunyip anyday
I know I'm going to have brightly coloured nightmares tonight [:o]

This was our 24th of 27 finds for the day.
We were really impressed, as we pulled up in the car, at the beauty of this area with the large open newly mowed grassed area, the creek nearby and the great breeze blowing through here.
As we went towards GZ we had to make a choice as to which way to go and we took the wrong one, but when we could go no further that was soon corrected.
When we took the right way we got to GZ easily & found the cache immediately. We then, at 5:55pm, swapped a small stationary kit for some stickers. TFTC, we really enjoyed it here!

Found this one at night on the way home from a great days caching in Brisbane. Find was pretty easy as cache was lying in the open. SL made no exchanges and covered the cache up. It is now well hidden. We think this park and stretch of river would be really nice in the daylight and will have to come back some time.
Thanks for the cache.

This cache took us to a park we would never have known existed. While signing the log we meet the HawMorFords who were out and about. It was good to have a chat with fellow Geocachers. Co-ordinates were spot on so it was a nice easy find.

We were very lucky to meet the MysteryInks at the cache site ... we chatted for a brief while but when asked if we would like the cache rehidden, i looked at the GPS, then looked where it was pointing, and declined the generous offer.
We left the Elvis Has LEft The Building TB and picked up a Signal GeoCoin.

This was pretty hard the GPS was all over the place and long grass made walking difficult....but finally found it. Seems it was a good day for cache hunting as two other visitors had also been there. Took travel bug will locate in a new spot soon.
We found this one after quite a bit of searching. The coordinates stated in the instructions had us a number of metres away from where the cache actually was after attempts from several directions. Of course, common sense goes out of the window when you have a GPSr in your hand, doesn't it? The river was a real treat. It had WATER in it! I hope Peter Beattie doesn't find out! We grabbed the two TBs and left some stuff. Thank you, Eze Fixed for this cache.

Woo Hoo - Another FTF for our family. It much easier to get a FTF when the HawMorFords are in a different state
The Coordinates were spot on, so this was quite an easy find. We swapped a cow for a doll and dropped off a couple of Travel Bugs that we brought back from down south.
Thanks for the cache!
