Visited GZ again today. The Monash Freeway widening works have resulted in GZ being inaccessible for the last 6 months and it is likely continue to be this way for months if not years! So with regret, archived
Facitman,
We found this cache easily enough today but we had to go over some temporary fencing to get to it. It looks as if they're going to be some kind of development going on in that empty lot. It might have something to do with the highway widening. So, I'm not sure how long that spot will hold up for you.
Just thought you'd like to know.

Looks like there's a conspiracy! The second of our caches to be fenced in. Oh well, hope it will be back online soon.
Team Hayjagen found this one without too much difficulty after doing our homework. One problem developing is that the general location is under a lot of construction and the cache itself is now behind temporary fencing. This is our 5th FACITMAN cache. We have FAC_TM_n; 2 to go.
L: Golf Ball; lots of cache

2008-06-08 10:28 An easy find when you look in the right direction. While the little images played I retreived the cache and did the paperwork. The cache box was open but the contents was dry. The area where the cache is has been fenced off because of some ground works.

I spiralled in on this one, correcting my counting as I went!! I took Carl, Homer's mate and left a hippo.
I think there was only one beannie kid in the cache.
Thanks s-facit.

After completing our word search for homework we headed of to find GZ. It was located easily, with the difficult part being dodging muggles. We were able to stealthily complete our transaction, taking an Egyptian, leaving a spikey pig and signing the log.

This one is actually one of the first caches that we looked at when we started caching (there are over 600 beanies living in our house).
We brought some with us to put in the cache, but were very surprised to find that we couldn't even fit in one...
Took TB Stepping Out, left complete set of beanie cards & beanie button.
TFTCSL, find #71 for Echo & Spice.

Found at 14:45. Had solved the word puzzle last night so set off today for a leisurely stroll along Gardiner's Creek Track. An easy find with no muggles playing today. TNLN Thanks
We found this cache by torchlight tonight. Luckily it was an easy find and while no-one was around - to be expected for this time of the night. TNLN & SL at 10:45pm. Thanks for the cache, our 350th! Regards, 38degsouth.
This 10km circle is now starting to see me do more and more diverse caches as they fall into the limit.
While looking at the closest ones the other day, I recalled this one taunting me when I went along the freeway, so finally thought it time to do the puzzle.
An easy find after an easy word find! TFTC TNLN

A nice easy find on a sunny Cup Day. I took Mrs BackPAQer on her inaugural ride on her nice new bike - she wishes I'd done more caching today so that she could have more rest breaks ...but I've done most of the ones up this trail (except the multis). T: Garfield L: A Booyah Ball (in it's special tin) + another super ball (if daughter leaves things lying around they WILL become geo-swaps!!!)
A long day trek around a few suburbs. Nice puzzle that I solved early before todays trek & no surprise that I found another lot of muggles playing the same sport as at other parks today. TNLNSL, thanks s-facit,

Another joint ssmc4 & EuDes expedition with 2 dads & 3 daughters. When we got to the GZ I found out that I didn't actualy have the final co-ordinates loaded into the GPSr - fiddlesticks! [B)] EuDes remembered some numbers and I vaguely remembered a search zone, so it was a big relief when EuDes' eagle eyes spotted the hide at 16:20 a couple of minutes after the rain shower hit.
T: 2 beanie kids (it's a bit hard to take just 1 when you have 2 geo-kids in your team!)
L: 2 x coloured pens, 2 x coloured rubbers.
A terrific cache - congratulations to s-facit and many thanks.

Having figured out GZ a few days ago and with some restless girls to contend with (not to mention two restless dads ), this was the perfect cache to try for. ssmc4 and we headed to GZ only to realise that not only had we both left our paperwork at home , but neither of us had put the final co-ords into our respective GPSrs . One guess at remembering the numbers proved fruitless but a rather fortunate re-guess and some lateral thinking combined with a passing storm had us with the cache in hand at 16:20 [8)].
With three girls but only two teams, we decided that swaps were in order so we took one BK (out) for a Garfield and a Carl Carlson (in). Many thanks for a very generous cache s-facit.
PS: There were no BKs left after our visit.

Found by Roma and Max.
This concept appealed to Roma and proved to be just the incentive she needed to solve her first puzzle cache! Max fully approves of this new approach and now expects to see more solutions forthcoming!
On arriving at GZ we found a group of men exercising on the oval, however they took little interest in our presence and we made our find without interference.
We left a Mondo Figurine and took a Dalmation.
Thank you s-facit for this challenge.

Found today by Mr Emu @ 2.30 p.m., GAFF1. I solved the puzzle for this cache some months ago. It is only 1 km from where I work, but it was only today that I finally found a time to visit when there were no exercisers in the park. It was nice to celebrate a milestone (#300) with a fun and well-thought-out cache.
I suspect that someone has been playing tricks with this cache again. There was no log-book present, and there was an unexpected and (for a kid-themed cache) inappropriate item in the cache. Can email Facitman a photo of the current cache contents if required. It was pleasing to see that there were 3 Beanie Kids sitting in the cache. No kids with me today, so I left them there. My thanks to s-facit for the cache.
Removed: Inappropriate item; Left: Mondo Figurine, with my "Mr Emu" sticker noting date & time placed in the cache.

Found this after completing our exercise class nearby. GPS initially led us astray (I thought it was only me that couldn't see in the fog!), but after a few minutes it changed its mind and led us straight to GZ.

Found @ 10:20. Had a look for this one a while ago but it had been muggled. Good to see it back again. Thanks. TNLNSL.
Geodaughter was keen to return here, being quite a keen Beanie Kid collector herself, after being disappointed a month back when the cache was missing.
This time we were not disappointed and found the cache where we expected it to be immediately upon arrival. Geodaughter claimed the (last/only) mini beanie. We left a Teddy Bear motif (iron-on I think) which may suit the same demographic.
Thanks s-facit. It was great fun.

Well, s-facit and Facitman went to GZ today in search for a new hiding spot and instead we found the cache in it's hiding spot. Mrs Facit had confirmed the cache MIA but it looks like a muggle child took it but has since put it back with his own swaps and logbook entry.
So it's back on line to see what happens.
Please do not leave trackables in this cache as we do not consider it completely secure.

Pretty sure this has been muggled again , we'll need to find a new hiding spot. It'll be back online soon.
Geodaughter was really looking forward to this one, but we looked and looked on two occasions and couldn't find it. We really hope this ambitious cache has not gone missing again. I'll e-mail s-facit and see if we had the location right.
Thanks s-facit.
Thanks s-facit.
I worked out this puzzle ages ago and then it got muggled so today provided the opportunity to finish it off. An easy find in a quiet park. Thanks s-facit.
I saw one jogger, one cyclist, one grandma and grand daughter, and twenty five million vehicles. Found this terrific hide before lunch, but sadly TNLN as I'd left the specially-purchased beanie kid at home.
Thanks for the great cache, s-facit!
Thanks for the great cache, s-facit!
New cache and replacement logbook hidden in almost the same location. Hope we keep the muggles away
This one has been completely muggled.
log book gone everything in plastic container gone.
We loved doing the word search. Thanks.

The Zorgon kids solved this a few weeks ago and they were pleased to find they had come up with the right answer! Thanks for the fun. TNLN
I enjoyed doing the puzzle and the lovely park. Had to pretend an interest in the vegetation as two young muggles walked right past the well hidden cache. Took Mondo, Left Car. Thanks s-facit for the puzzle and taking me here.
I had to the counting three times, but I eventually found the cache. It's a great size container, I wish I had some appropriate swaps to put in.
Thanks

Found by Mary & David at 1400. This one must be a hit with the kids. Think everyone knows Beanie Kids. Mary has one called Nurse. Left TB Baldy from the country to get some city action. Our thanks to s-facit.
I had worked this one out some time ago or should I say Vanessa of Spy-Kids did. Today was pick up day, I arrived at GZ and there was a rugby game going on seemed rather funny about twenty Guys and one Girl, I watched it for some time before moving on.I found the cache at 12:30. It seems all the kids have left home. Thanks for the cache.
Found this very pleasant afternoon. There were a few people in the adjoining park, but there was enough scrub to screen us from their view as we completed the log book.
Thanks for a great cache.
Thanks for a great cache.
As Oenze said this became a simple traditional for me because Robmc did the puzzle and maths at work last night. (hope his boss doesn't read this). No swaps according to my notes but thanks again.
I was here a week ago but I was relying on the PDA for cache descriptions - no image. Made it a bit hard.
I printed the image and took it to work (night shift - have to have something to keep me going).
I had never heard of beanie kids before. Looked them up on the web - Wow!
Did the puzzle and was pleased to see it was near the waypoint. Picked it up tonight.
Thanks, Robmc.

Found at 9:38pm Accompanied by Chewinprickles and Robmc on our usual cache all night till we drop expedition. 6th find for the evening, I had this deciphered by my son (GeoDano) as soon as it appeared but I didnt know we were going for this one tonight
so had to rely on Rob for this one, we were a bit worried about Rob's coords. when we walked up to a wire fence but then figured out what to do to get our booty (we should know better to second guess Rob's maths).
In: Koala Keyring, Out: Dinosaur, Signed Log. Thanx s-facit....

We have had the co-ords worked out for awhile but this is the first chance that we have had to be in the area to attempt to find it. We arrived here mid morning to find a lot of children playing with their parents and an dog obedience school in progress very near to gz so we decided that today was not going to be the day for this one. After completing a couple of others caches we decided to return on our way home and try our luck again.
We were very happy to arrive and find that we had the park to ourselves and the cache was found quickly
Took Nothing
Left TB White Jeep
Thanks s-facit

Found @ 2.40pm on my way from a job back to the office in between showers. Tried for this one a few weeks ago whilst walking the dog, but too many around to do discreetly and my four legged friend was getting impatient.

A fine find for Wookus and The Bug. A muggle with a golf club was not only loitering where we needed to be, he took a pot shot at us with his 7 iron. Close call.
This had to be a flying visit as we were running out of time found it quickley took red beany kid to add to our collection .
Dear s-facit,
We found your cache today ar 12:25pm as the third of eleven on our southern suburbs afternoon. We had worked out the co-ords on the first day but only got to trip past here today. A nice puzzle and cache. Thanks for the cache.
Kind Regards,

And I always thought A was for Architect - silly me! At least I now know the answer to a question that has been haunting me for ages - what were the Facits going to call their 27th cache . Anyway, I finally got this one today - it's only a short distance from work, but I've been a bit tied up lately and haven't managed to do much caching . I particularly enjoy this style of puzzle - it can be tricky, but it only requires dedication and not inspiration to solve, so you can be confident you'll get it in the end . There wasn't a soul about this morning, and the cache was an easy find.
TNLN, although if I'd had some swaps, I would have liked to get the yoyo.
Many thanks s-Facit

Second of two finds for the morning. I had worked out the puzzle some time back, but didn't seem to find the time to get out to find the cache. Today was the day. I was on my way to an appointment in Bentleigh East, and had limited time. Unfortunately, there were people at the playground, and it looked like the cache was going to be in a direct line of sight. I stayed in the car for ten minutes until the kids had had enough. As they departed another person turned up with a couple of dogs. She departed, and I pounced! I found the cache at 1115. I grabbed the Travel Bug. Thanks to s-facit for an enjoyable cache.

I worked out where this one was during the week and I have been asking caughtatwork all week to take me there. I found this cache today very easily and I really enjoyed the word puzzle. I took the last beanie kid (Leap) and left a yoyo. Thank you s-Facit.

GabGab worked out the clues for this cache during the week. I swear I didn't help at all. She was right on the ball and spent the next morning and afternoon checking the letters for the words and then counting the additional letters. A great puzzle for kids of all ages to enjoy.
We just had to get this cache today. She'd been asking me each night when we could go and find it and with a visit to IKEA Richmond this afternoon, a 15 minute detour and we were at GZ.
The GPS played very nicely here and pointed to the appropriate location with only 3m to go. GabGab spotted the hiding place and I dove in to see whether she was right. Bingo.
I took nothing, left nothing, but GabGab has left a note saying she took the last beanie kid and left a yoyo.
Thanks s-Facit. An excellent cache puzzle that was just right for the kids. Not too hard and not too easy and interesting enough to keep their attention. A much appreciated cache find this afternoon.

When the cache appeared on the website, I quickly worked out the final co-ords. As a kid, I used to love doing these puzzles - time hasn't changed much - I'm still a big kid at heart.
I had to visit a client this afternoon and this cache was right in the path between work and them, so, dressed in corporate attire, I left early and enjoyed my lunchtime having a look for the cache.
At first I thought I had the wrong co-ords as they appeared to be on the other side of a fence. However, as I neared GZ all worked out well for a quick and easy find. No exchange was made. Thanks for the cache and the puzzle.

FTF at 8:34pm. Saw this one come up and couldn't resist heading out, even though we thought there would be competition closer than we were. Pickupfamily Mum stayed at home to work out the puzzle and send directions via mobile phone.
A few obstacles and set-backs along the way to GZ, but after overcoming these and once the GPS settled, found the hide quite quickly.
Took the big "Pussen Boots the Bear" beanie kid, thanks especially from the Pickupfamily Kids, S-Facit. Left a rope watch. TFTC.
