As there's been no cache to find for some time, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
Is it going to be checked by owner????
Been several months of DNFs, but no visit by owner.
Would enjoy finding this one next weekend!

Please check if the cache is still there. It looks some clean up has reveiled the cache.
Even with those eagle eyes of Bcj97 no joy today. Found lots of likely spots and GPS settled at 1 to 2 m but still no luck.Had to drag Bcj97 away as she hates not finding these elusive little fellows. Will bring my large scrub cutter next time, wear overalls and act like a council worker. Hopefully the blade won't hit the cache and obliterate its contents. May eliminate some gorse. Nice day for great views. Cheers.
This is the second time I have visited this cache, to no avail. I searched under all the trees at GZ and poked the lumps of overgrown grass with a stick, but still didn't find it. I did find an angry gorse bush tho
even using the other logs "avoid the gorse" I began to think w/o a tiny person it would not be possible but then the GPS settled a bit and there it was well hidden but right on the mark. Great view & as I was geo walking all the public ped ways are tremendous. TFTC
No luck for me, I guess I'll need to look at the spoilers before attempting this cache again.
Spent ages at GZ first, then widening the search. Really began to doubt the GPS on this one.... and hating gorse! Paced out the 6m, defined the "small" as comparative with others. Found a good prodder, and prodded through the grass at all the bases.......
No luck, no cache for us today.
Now, back at the computer, can see the spoiler photo, of an item that was about 20m from the WP today - did go over there, but felt it was so far from the search area that I did only a half hearted search there - frustration reigns. Half hour of searching wasted.
May have time to return before the flight home tomorrow.
Oh, good views today, and good challenge for a flat city driver!

Murrayroma and Soggyboots found .Yeh nice views of Wgtn Worth bringing visitors
Murrayroma and Soggyboots found Lived here for years and never seen the stunning views.Left Pink Panther took copper braclet
Scrabbled around in bushes for some time with three people, but failed to find anything except expletives related to being jabbed by gorse.
This took me longer than it should! I was about to give up due to the dark when there it was - must have gone past it or even knelt on it while going round in circles. Should've read the previous logs more thoroughly because it is right where it is said to be. TFTC (741)
Negotiated our way round a pretty serious girls rugby match to find this one further up the hill. No. 13 of our kiwicaching tour.

These are not my favourite types of hides - there are just too many possibilities. Tried a few but decided to give it away before too long. Lo and behold I spied it on the way out! Such is caching.
GPS was spot on and lead us to the exact location. We held the GPS directly on top of the cache, but didn't find it and extended our search. Came back to first spot and found it rather quickly the second time. Should have trusted the GPS first time. Nice hide. TFTC.
[Third (fourth?) visit to this cache. Found in relatively short order a) my prescription sunglasses lost in the undergowth here on visit #1, and b) the cache! Yippee, praise the Lord! *So* glad to have sunglasses back.
Note to others the "spoiler" photo in the gallery is the *old* location the cache was in before it was moved.] The photo may still give you a starting point as other log entries state the cache was moved c. 9m along ridge—current coordinates are the new location. Cache is c. 40cm from base of a bush, and can be found while you are in clear view of sky and without scrabbling about in undergrowth. [TFTC.
Edit: Timezone correction for date.]

Ticked off all Brooklyn caches today, but left this one to last, because of the recent Didn't Find log. But all was good, relatively easy to find, in great condition and finally a cache with some really nice trades in it. Glad that we gave it a try. TFTC!
Again didn't find this one, but honestly I was only partly looking for it this time. That's because I'm almost certain that while searching for this cache last week I lost my prescription sunglasses here... I was scrambling all up and down the bank looking for this cache so they could be anywhere...
They are shaped more like standard glasses than sunglasses apart from the darkly tinted lenses. Due to my non-standard prescription they won't be of use to anyone else, but I would *love* to get them back.
If you find my sunglasses, or even see them there but didn't pick them up, please get in contact with me.

First ever attempt to find a cache—would not have picked it had I read all the recent DNFs! Not helped by 17m accuracy on iPhone; unsure if that is typical. Eventually found a red rectangular Tupperware container on the ground, lid off, filled with water and mud and no contents save an old chippie packet. Latter makes me think it was not cache, but if it was it has been mangled. No sign of logs etc. View still great at a nearby location I didn't know about previously.

Based on some of the more recent logs we approached this one fearing the worst and expecting to be engaged in a search of titanic proportions, with disappointment a possibility.
The true motto of this game is "trust what your GPSr tells you". And so it was, and so the cache was duly found. Sure, we spent some time looking but in the end it was a case of believing the coordinates I'm afraid.
It was a wild and windy day up here today, but sunny and lots of great views to be had.
Noted that this was yet another cache visited today where the gorse has become agressively invasive and makes a real nuisance of itself. Curse the stuff.
Cache found to be in order, and rehidden as found.
- retrived a wonderfully pictorial geocoin
+ nil, but brought a bunch of travelling bugs with me.
Signed the log
TFTC - found along with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

This is the second joint find today with Crystal Fairy. This is my second trip to this location and we found it quite quickly this time. TFTC TNLNSL
Not quite where I would have placed a cache (position), the view is great, so took a while and a long stick to find this one.. Thanks for showing us this area..
After reading the number of DNF's in the logs wasn't sure how I'd go on this one, took 40 minutes of looking but found it. GPS reading pretty accurate.

Great Wellington day - good location, enjoyable walk. Cache was a little hard to find, but we found it as we were about to give up.
Had another good go at this cache this evening. Still couldn't find it. I think I puzzled a couple of muggles wondering what that loon was doing in the bushes with a torch. Oh yeah - this was DNF attempt 2, I think I'm going to need to count them with this cache. Cheers Gav

Second attempt, still no cache! The first was in the dark, this time in daylight. Found plenty of gorse though, still there if anyone else wants to dig through it...
I too wasn't able to find the cache. GPS pointed me at one bush, hint pointed me at a few others nearby and still wasn't able to find it. Cheers Gav
Searched for half an hour around GZ, but couldn't find it. There seems to have been some recent gorse spraying and clearing. Wondered if the cache was cleared as well?
I hate flax. I hate gorse more! Between getting impaled and nearly being blown off the hill, I was able to unearth it. Thanks for the placement. I wanna do the City to Sea walkway some time. Looks like a good route.
This was to be our 5th cache of the day, after winding thru the narrow streets and parking the car, i approached from Dorking St, however found batteries in the GPS had died, had a search around in the described area but had no luck.
Third time lucky. Having a GPS made a huge difference, was nearly standing on it rather than stumbling around nearby.
golf tee in, frog out

searched and searched to no avail then I kicked it...exactly where the directions said..haha

First of three on a 19km walk from home on a fine Saturday afternoon - yes I enjoy the exercise and the views and the caches were a motivation! Easy find and nice spot. TNLN - signed log as agc062. TFTC!
A nice view but it was difficult at times deciding whether the lanes/driveways were public or private.
Very disappointed, our first attempt at locating a geocache, spent ages digging around under various little bushes etc, with no luck. Nor does the 'spoiler' photo doesn't look at all familiar as apparently the cache has since been moved???
This one took a bit to find - the coords were a bit further down the hill. Eventually gave up and read the clue, which certainly helped. +Racing Jeep TB - please move along. TFTC.
Good view of Wellington even at night. Beautiful spot but a shame about the doggy business near GZ. It took me half an hour to get the stuff off my boots - yuck! GPS was jumping around a bit but found the right location eventually. TFTC
Took a lot of green bushes to find the right one. Satisfying last cache at the end of a long afternoon walk
Well I had to have another go - unfinished business to attend to. I knew the closest parking spot and so this only took a few minutes to resolve. The first of 5 for the morning.

Oh great, I didn't check the latest logs before heading out and now I find out why I couldn't find it - it's moved!! Found the holly bush (stump) and all.
It was a long slog at the end of a long afternoon....never mind, I know how to get within 9m of it some other sunny afternoon

Well no, it's currently a gorse bush -tho there's a very small holly nearby. -smiley ball, +snake.
WOW! Nice spot, thanks! It was nice to get to this side of Brooklyn. Haven't done this particular view before.
There was a mangey vicious looking hungry dog wandering up towards me uncollared and unattended and I was momentarily worried (in light of tragedy in NZ yesterday) but pretended he didn't exist and promptly tumbled down the bank. *blushes*
Took TB with me with intention of putting it in the Brooklyn Blades just up the hill but that turned out to be muggle central so it will be with me until next weekend.

In town for business. Last day before flying out so I went walking to get a few. It's really hard not having maps & walking around at 5am, but it was fun. Finally found the right little street & was rewarded with some top views of Wellington waking up in the morning. Finally dropped 'Y' travel bug. Have had this one a bit longer than I shound. Nice spot.

Thanks for taking me to a spot in town I'd never been to. It was a great evening for a climb up to the view. The sky was incredible last night. A brilliant rainbow fell down into the Rimutakas and the light reflecting off the clouds over the homes was spectacular. TNLNSL TFTC!
