After striking out on a couple of other archived puzzles nearby, I approached this one with a little more confidence know that it had been found recently.
I had to park a fair distance away and it was getting hot but it's worth it for the cache right?

I was in the area for work and decided to drop in on this one.
This indeed was a nifty little puzzle - which I will openly admit I had some help with.
My car GPSr indicated a good approach. While it may not have been in the intended one - it actually worked out pretty well. I soon found a way to get to GZ that didn't end in me destroying my work uniform.
I plodded along with the smartphone and soon saw something suspicious. Sure enough it twas the cache! Father Time has not been kind to this beast - the lid is disintegrating - as is the plastic that was around it. But the inside was nice and dry. I signed the log book and re-hid the cache as found.
My thanks to Zacgyver who was the one that found this archived beast was still there. Good one
NastySteve - I know you stepped out of the game in less than ideal circumstances - but I want you to know your remaining cache(s)[?] are still fun to find for others. TFTC

An archived puzzle. Hmm, sounds like fun. A quick solution (thanks to the hint) and i had the coordinates sitting in a file "just in case" i was around this area. Seemed like an interesting location having never been to the park before. Today it was overcast and raining - so what to do on a day like that. Go caching in scrubby area!
Coordinates took me to a plausible location and i started looking around thinking it could have been in a particular location (GPS unreliable due to cloud cover). Looked where i thought and started to think maybe it was gone after all. Then a thought. If i were hiding a cache that wouldn't really be a good location, lets look elsewhere. BINGO! Cache found.
Lid has bits missing off the side, but it's still in pretty good condition all up. Now i know where to go if i ever need some parts. . Thanks for the puzzle and cache NastySteve.

This is on the list so I headed out today after solving it last night.
I parked at the car park and headed in.
After a short walk, I came to GZ and made the find.
Noted the clue.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks NastySteve All good with this archived cache

After coming across an easier way of searching for nearby archived caches, I decided to work on some of the easier looking puzzles. This was the first completed, and also the closest.
Once again on the bike today, I made my way to GZ. It was a bit steep, so I had to carry the bike further down. I sussed out GZ and headed in, initially looking everywhere but where the cache was hidden. Eventually found it though. Swapped for the USB splitter as I need one of these.

In a charge led by KeepingUpWith tonight we found two NastySteve archived caches. This one first! knowing it had been found only a few months ago we thought it was likely to still be around, and it surely was! After eliminating the obvious we searched further afield and my partner in crime called out the find. Searching at night had certainly added a level of difficulty. Pleased with ourselves we moved on...
I found this puzzle on Crew 153's list 'Queensland Archived Caches Still Available' and had it on my list of nearby archived caches to look in on.
I have been solving a lot of puzzles recently and looked at this one again and got it out quickly. Tonight I went out with Sweller to look for his daily cache and I suggested this one might be fun to try. So we came down and had a look.
Our GPS were bouncing round all over the place but we knew we were in the right area so we started shaking down the usual suspects and after a couple of "maybe it's gone" moments we glimpsed something in the torchlight and then we had the cache.
The cache itself was pretty wet but the log book was in good nick.
If you still get the notifications, thanks for the puzzle and the cache Nasty Steve!

The co-ords were worked out and the cache notes kept for an opportunity when in Brisbane to come and see if we could find this one. Wow! How pleased we were when we found the cache in excellent condition when the last finders were in July, 2010. 2 years and 8 months ago. We signed the clean and dry log book and replaced the cache as found. Many thanks for this cache.
Well this cache hadn't been found for a long time, never the less it is still there in perfect condition! TFTC
Found during a raid on Brisbane with The Rats, Big Matt and Shell and Steeba.
Big Matt had done the hard work on this one but a group effort generated the find. TFTC.

#4412 Found this cache as part of a recent brissy raid along with Steeba, Big Matt and Farmer Frentzen. We'd solved this one some time ago. Today we managed to get that little bit closer the the nearby fair. After checking out all the potential hiding spots we eventually had the cache in hand.
Shame this one is now archived. Thanks

Found this cache with FarmerFrentzen, steeba and The Rats on our 2010 Brisbane Invasion Trip. This was our 4208th overall find. This cache was our 42nd out of 101 for the day.
Found at about 12:12 PM. The puzzle solved a while ago it was off to this one. Once at the GZ a check of all the likely spots turned up nothing and then there it was.
Thanks to NastySteve for the cache.

Found with The Rats, Big Matt and Farmer Frentzen as The Gangsters on our Brisbane invasion trip.
Big Matt solved this one prior to our trip- at GZ the find was a little tricky but we got there. TFTC!

There seems to be an abundance of puzzles in Adelaide that use this method at the moment, so it was an easy solve. Bit harder to find the actual container, though! Rubik's log regarding snakey places saved a lot of time and the cache was found after about 5 minutes. TFTC.
Left a USB Double adapter, and took the parallel ribbon cable (geoson really wanted it!)
Saw the Mr Hawmorfords card access key thingi but got really confused and thought i should research it before taking it!

This one took longer to find the cache than it did to solve the puzzle. GPS was jumping all over the place. Eventually found the cache. Left Proximity Card TB. Thanks for the puzzle and cache.
Nice simple puzzle for me... Nice spot tnlnsl. TFTC. Great parklands... Good for a day out with the family
Had a great time bashing around with the kids was right on top of it but still took a while to look in the obvious spot. TFTC
One of only a couple of the Computer series caches I managed to get to on my trip but well worth the effort. The old ruins were interesting to look at and I'm glad I didn't have to go fishing around where snakes might live to get the cache.

Papadavid solved this puzzle, and I tagged along for the hunt. I'd been very close to this cache whilst hunting another nearby at the start of the month.
Didn't have anything particularly computer-related in my bag-o'-bits, so TNLN.

Found this cache again. Wanted to drop a couple things in it they barely fit.
Having already found the last in this series, we decided to go after the first this morning. We spent far too long looking at what seemed to be the obvious place before re-evaluating the situation and making (what was in the end) an easy find. TNLN, TFTC.
Have no idea how I got the co-ords to this one but, everybodies friend Google had a fair bit to do with it. THe cahce was a nice quick find when at GZ.
I have grave doubts that I will be as lucky in the successive Computer challenges. Can only try...
Cheers

Found at 2.51pm. Solved this one a week or two ago and completed it today. Good exercise for the dog. TNLN TFTC
Having solved this puzzle a little while a go, we decide to grab this cache on our way to a couple of other puzzle caches we had also solved in the area (or nearby anyway).
Being involved with IT, geodad enjoyed solving this particular one.
Cache was soon located and many memories remenised as we looked through the old computer parts sitting inside this particular cache container.
Thanks for the puzzle and hunt Steve and Family.

I didn't find this Computer Challenge too hard to solve, unlike some of the others I am still struggling on! Plenty of interesting treasure still in the cache too. Found with gefscofix, TFTC
Find 14 of 18 on a big day of caching with Kholometres. TNLN, TFTC.
I had a 486 SX CPU specially for this cache, but I mixed up which cache had the computer swaps! So I put the CPU in the final release cache.. If anyone feels like moving it from one cach to another, feel free! (Or if you just need a high speed 486 CPU....)

I always groan when I see a cache that requires some computer skills. Having had a computer for 6 months hardly qualifies one as a computer genius. Luckily this one was kind to me. Had recently been told about the area around GZ by a fellow cacher so was very happy to find ourselves out there. Fantastic place. Thanks for taking us there
Second visit to this park and both times it was for a geocache. I really should try to have a picnic here one day . Found this one easily after almost being run down by a horse/dog who's owner was most apologetic. So much for dogs on a lead. Once she'd move on, I sneaked off the track and voila, another cache find. The only computer stuff I have, I use, so TN/LN/SL. I replaced the logbook's zip lock bag as it was split.
Cache is a little wet & geokids were most interested to see a piece of paper that was used once to program a computer at UQ that both their daddies had used a long time ago. Left a SD card. thanks for the challenge & TFTC.
Certainly reminisced about the cards. Love to hear how those beasts survived the last 20 years. TFTC
Found it today. Got to it from the top, instead of the bottom. TN but left a Venezuelan 100 Bolivares coin, sadly I couldn't keep up with the theme. This was my first cache !
Was going to leave my laptop for exchange, but it didn't fit, so TNLN. TFTC The number of times I've staggered up this hill gasping for breath (amazing what some peole will do for exercise!) not knowing the cache was just over there.
Found with no difficulty this time - with street map from web rather than old refidex. Great park! TFTC
Worked out the clue and found the cache with minimal fuss. The hardest part was finding our way around the new housing estates with our 10yr old refidex.
Didn't have any swaps in theme, so TNLN and SL.

Dropped in to pick up the #4 Proximity Card TB. Site is decaying a bit since we were last here.
A nice easy find thanks to my amazing Geo wife who cracked the code.
Left #4 proximity key
Thanks also to Steve (cache owner) for your assistance with this one.

Thanks for this one Steve. I like puzzle caches and I have to say I am having difficulty with the other computer ones... I will prevail.
I really like this park and the history within.
How long since I used punch cards??? way too long..
Thanks for the cache

One deserving the red face award. After a lap of the car park I figured out that I'd entered the listed coordinates into the GPS - not the calculated coordinates! After rectifying this mistake we found it fairly quickly and had a nice walk/ride through the park. The puzzle took a little bit of time solving but after switching the brain into the right mode the answer popped out OK!

Had a good stroll around this really nice area. Great to see some of the history has been preserved in such an interesting way. Found the cache without too much trouble. Took a network cable and left a Dlink network card. The card wouldn't fit in the cache but manged to squeeze it into the same space wrapped in a watertight bag. Cheers Steve and Family. TFTC!
Second of twelve logs on an indifferent day in Brisbane. I had worked this puzzle out before leaving home. It was a relatively easy one (for a computer person, anyway). I wasn't to enjoy the same ease-of-use for the subsequent caches in the series, but that is another story. Being an ausländer I didn't know the easy way into this cache, so I went straight down the hill from Fremont St. I managed to make it unscathed, but not without a couple of slides on the dead leaves. [B)] I picked the hiding place straight away, but for some reason, I didn't check it out. [?] I returned after checking some other places, and found it at 1435. I made no exchange at this one. Thanks to Steve and family for the cache.
We'd been to this area before and loved it back then... we still loved it again now.
We let the kids play for a while and read some of the local history before getting back in the car and moving on to the next in the series.
Thanks for the challenge on this one.

There is another cache just near this one. We quickly decoded the riddle and were on our way. Wish I could say the same for the Beta cache. Too busy and distracted to concentrate sufficiently. We took nothing but left the Matilda Travel bug. It's as snug as a bug in a cache box. Someone's got to do all the good jokes... ...I just do the rest. Thanks Steve and family for taking us back to this spot. I used to work there years ago. Happy memories.

Love the idea and we look forward to the forthcoming challenges as the series unfolds.
I enjoyed a pleasant late afternoon walk to the cache location where the cache was an easy find - the coordinates were spot on.
I had no computer related swaps so i made no exchange.
Thanks to NastySteve - we look forward to the next installment.

Great idea for a challenge - thanks Steve (and family) I found the cache reasonably easily, although I was mightily distracted at GZ by the 'obvious' site.
I took nothing (although a couple of years ago I needed one of the items) but left some computer cards, which contain a very short (and poorly written) Fortran program, which, if one has access to the technology (and the bent cards are not rendered un-usable), leads one to a golden king, but alas not to any treasure. I can guarantee that the cards are virus-free.
Looking forward to beta.
