The cache is well and truly gone. I checked this one when I came home last year and it was fine. The area has been totally destroyed and at this stage I won't be replacing the cache until I know more what is happening here.
Homeward bound and number 9 for today. Might try for double figures if the roads not too busy... TFTC
Our last one for the day before heading home. A nice quiet spot- a few people camping down the other end, but no-one near gz. Cunning wee hidey-hole. tftc
Clever hide away from the campers who weren't interested in what we were doing. Thanks
Today we went on a cache hunt for the numbers. We've been in New Zealand for four weeks and found many caches, but not quite enough. Today we wanted to make it a total of one hundred caches in New Zealand, and if we counted correctly this is our number 100 (26th of today). We're camping here for the night, our last night in our campervan..

We found this cache during our wonderful journey through New Zealand. Thank you for the cache and the great time in your country! Greetings from Germany.
I am returning home in October and will be doing a check on all my caches as soon as it is possible.
Great find with Twosharpe. Out in the lovely weather to enjoy some caching. TFTC

My brother is up for two weeks in chch, and it was time to go do some bulk (More than just my one a day ) caching too. So what a great excuse?! Between us, we solved all the puzzles in this area, (though unfortunately we didn't have time to find them all today ), and went to go find what we could. I'd been meaning to attack this area for a while, but with so many caches up north ways, it was almost silly to go bulk caching this way! But for the geolicences up in Auckland, I needed some caches that are far away from all others.
Pretty easy one here after reading the previous logs. Wasn't exactly where I would have guessed the obvious spot to be! But a better spot though!

Day 7 of Cache a day in May After being foiled by youthful muggles near another cache went to this site Once again eagle eyed son spotted it first as i was virtually standing on top of it
A caching Sunday after farewelling my cousin and navigating for them to pick up a new puppy. It was interesting to discover the camping ground here. Stopped by the river for a cuppa and snacks. TFTC!
This is a nicely hidden cache which I quickly found. The area was quite populated today but this did not hamper searching.
This morning Mrs TEF went and met up with a friend for a couple of hours, when I asked TEF Jnr. what he wanted to do this morning he said 'go caching' - I think I have brainwashed my two and a half year old!
We made a beeline for this cache from Rolleston and the little tyke promptly fell asleep in his car seat leaving Uncle TeeeRoy and I to do all the hard work!
After TeeeRoy fumbled round in the bushes for a few minutes I wandered over to assist, then bingo, he tracked down the container and we signed and hightailed it out of there on a very busy day with lots of camping muggles going back and forth.

Found this cache with TeamElliottFamily. A nice drive to a beautiful location. Tftc
Quick find after having to wait for a car parked right next to cache.... ? Muggle ?cacher think it may have been another cacher tftc
What a cool little camp site. Everyone seems to be packing up from the long weekend. Thanks for the cache
I just grabbed my cachelet #2 from preschool and Mrs TheWanglers was under the weather and needed an afternoon to herself so I headed out with the wee one to hit a few caches. We headed south! My wee on had just woken up after missing the action for the past 40 or so minutes. She was way to groggy to try for the find. I looke here and there and jumped down here and look there. Widened my search and went back to one of the first spots and had a think, hmm "Rocky Bridge" aha! Found it. Nice wee hidey hole. I think we can squeeze a few more in before we have to go and pick big sister up from school. I reckon we could go via Tai Tapu.
Happy to sign the log.

Nice quick find. I have no idea how I missed the road the first time I was out this way.
After a bit of back and forward trying to work out the best way of approaching on a vehicle, it was cache in hand. Some keen campers near by in very long grass area - hope they don't get hay fever. TFTC
Looked in all the seemingly obvious places first. Bit worried about the muggles nearby, but they didn't seem interested in me.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Well I watched why others did the work But cache was found without me falling over so thats always good
621 - I arrived at GZ with Pokernet and MacPacMum and we all piled out to look. GPS put us right by what was an obvious place to look but nope, we drew a blank. We extended our search into the surrounding fauna which included several plants that rate on my "I don't like this very much" list (Other people have less pleasant names for this list . Finally one of us turned out the cache. Phew, I was beginning to think we might have to lodge a DNF. Thankfully the log was soon signed and replaced. Discovered a TB here
Out caching with JustMeG and PokerNet. Searched the obvious place and moved to the slightly less obvious and slightly more less obvious places. Returning from one of the slightly less obvious places found the cache in an obvious place if we had taken a moment to think about it! Took TB.
Beautiful day for a cache hunt. Had to deal first with a local farmer who wondered what I was doing, but after a pleasant chat I located the cache and signed the log. Thanks for bringing me to this enjoyable place.
Did a check on this cache today and it seems all OK and the logbook should last the summer. It is my cache and I had trouble finding it as the grass had got so long.
We camped on the campsite for the night. In the morning we looked for the cache. Just a short search.
Thanks for the Cache. Greetings from Switzerland.

I camped in this place for a few days so yes it was on my list.A good hide.Thuank you.
It was interesting for me to see another camping spot to compare to where we camped the night before. We found the cache within 7 mins.
Found with Mporokosa. I never knew this reserve existed, altho I visited (fairly) nearby Coes Ford a lot as a kid.
Quick and easy find. Having travelled this area many times was good to log this cache. TFTC
Found after a few minutes - very clever hiding place! Nice area - must come back to camp here one weekend.

We've had many pleasant days here, our kids swimming in the river, bar-b-q's, I've never camped here though, lots do. TFTC
An after dark visit on the way back from visiting our salmon hatchery out on the coast. It was a bit hard to tell in the dark but this looks like it could be a good spot to add to my overnight camping locations when on Canterbury geocaching expeditions. TFTC.
TFTC. Great spot, wonder when this stopped being used as a bridge. A place to revisit with a picnic lunch.
Wouldn't chance the crossing but the abutments look solid enough I wonder why they didn't use themm for the new bridge?. A good stop leaving the mayhem of the earthquake behind for a while.

How cool is this spot?! Thanks for bringing me here in the late afternoons sunshine. Quick find once I had
gathered myself. The old abutments are neato....yummy ripe blackberries nearby too...what more could you want?!

5th find. Must come back and explore when we have more time. Junior caches, spying the freedom campers, longed to do the same!
"Golly" I said "Where do I start with this one?"
And I turned around and there it was. A nice hide. TFTC

We were determined we knew where this would be but eventually had to use the torch to have a good look.
(190) Another nice easy find, not many people around which makes this easy.. TFTC, SL.
Nice hiding spot! Had just replaced the cache when the roar of engines from the nearby river enticed us to investigate. No, not speed boats, 2 cars racing down the river bank/bed sending huge splashes of water skyward as they drove through deeper water. Quite a sight!

Stopped here in the campervan for the night. This one provided an excuse for a quiet stroll after tea. Easy find.
