Found on a trip to Western Australia from Adelaide with FeatherWaite. We camped in Millstream-Chichester National Park then spent the day exploring the area.We ventured out to Georges River ravine - what a fantastic spot! Regretting not camping somewhere out there, instead of the main campground. We took some time to scope out the best route up to the cache and decided to approach it from the more open ridge before making our way across to the gully towards the top to avoid the scrubby section. It turned out to be a good choice and we returned the same way.The cache was found without any problems and was in good condition. Thanks Route me Baby for the cache. A favourite point for a great location.
Found with e.gregory1 on a trip from Adelaide to north-western WA for a month or so. Staying at Miliyanha campground in Millstream Chichester National Park for two nights, we headed out to Python Pool and George's River Ravine for the day, finding the caches along the way. We made our way up to the cache along the shaley slope to the north, then onto the more stable rocks in the gully before honing in on GZ at the top, for great views and a very rewarding find. Thanks for the cache Route me Baby!
Day 5 of our 3 week journey north & staying at Millstream NP, todays expedition is to Python Pool & beyond... Beyond being George's River
After turning off the main track we stopped at the creek crossing for a picnic before continuing on towards GZ... The drive out to this one was slow going but very scenic & well worth the drive Once arriving at the river which has been flooded & impassable at the moment, we said goodbye to our friends (& our kids too). They were not keen on climbing UP THERE
We managed to find our way around the head high grass before making it to the base of the hill (or is it a mountain ). As the name mentions a ravine, we chose to walk up it... Once at the top we made a bee-line straight to the lonely prize! Wow, what an amazing adventure we have had today... The views are to die for & without geocaching we would never have visited
Thanks to Route me Baby for getting us up here, definitely recommended The cache lid was breaking so luckily we brought another container with us that should keep it going for many more years... Hopefully it won't be so long in between visits for the next finder.

Last month I was out here at the Pyramid Hill and realised later that with an extra effort I could have found this one as well. Anyway it was a good excuse to make another trip this way, so on this Sunday off I drove out again.
The area was beautiful, but the last section off the "main" dirt road felt very long.
I was really amazed by the location at the river. Quickly climbed up in the creek bed and found the cache without any problems. I also took a walk along the edge of the cliff and took some photos, when spotted a small pool behind the nearby hill, so decided to look around a little bit there as well.
It was a long drive, but well worth it, I experienced something new in the Pilbara again. Thanks for the hide.

This is number 2 of 5 today. Slow ride in, easy climb up to the top, but I hate going down. Must get one of those walking sticks. Found the cache fairly quickly. Took some photos, but didn’t take anything else and left nothing. Thanks for the cache.
Awesome views. Took an opportunity to come out this way and explore some camping sites.
Great to finally get here and what an awesome spot. Felt like we were on safari coming in to the cache, and then the climb got the blood pumping and the sweat going. Fantastic views from the top. Took nothing, left a KZ jandal key-ring. A favourite cache, thanks!

This one is a bewdy and well worth the effort to get out there. The view is spectacular, it's just a shame that it's been nearly three years since this was last visited. I feel lucky for having found the cache and experiencing the beauty of the area. Without giving too much away, yes, you do have to go right to the top but it's an easy...ish scramble up the ravine and there's even a natural rock stage up there which is near but not too close to the cliff edge. Great photo opportunity! Cache is still in great condition, replaced the tape around it but it's well out of the weather anyway. TNLN...T4TC Route Me baby!
We took a drive out to George River today for a picnic lunch and had intended to check this cache whilst there.
The day had heated to 30C by the time we finished our picnic and although that was still perfect weather to find the cache it wasnt too good to leave our two geoterriers in the car so we decided to leave our check for another day when we are on our own. The way up to the cache is now extremely overgrown with thick vines although the ravine itself looked pretty do-able even though it had a good spinifex cover. I was disappointed not to be able to go up as the scenery from it is absolutely spectacular but had to think of our "boys".
Geocachers travelling through the Pilbara with their caravans and trailers should spend the night at nearby Snake Creek and try this cache its really worth the effort and a shame more havent dont it over the years.
PS...
On the drive out of the river we noticed a way around the vines - all you have to do is to locate the river and come back along it toward Snake Creek by about 200 or so metres the way is then clear to hike across to the ravine without having to bash/stumble through the dense vines!

Great drive in, beautiful views despite some of it being burned out. Like Liz & Bruce we got the height wrong, Forgot all about the 240m and did not check the altitude when we parked the car a few hundred meters short of the cache. A shame as we are looking forward to finding a cache that L&B have missed.... The male Konggirl climbed the scree slope before realising the error of our ways. By that time it was getting late and we needed to get back to Mill Stream before dark so declined to treck up to where the cache is. Hope to make it back one day. This was the highlight of the Chichester Ranges for us despite missing the Cache.
Did the drive in over creek beds, spinnifex bushes etc admiring the scenery as we went. We searched for a quite a while for the cache but ended up not finding it. Looking at the photos today we realized we had to be up higher. I think the clue made us think under the table which kept us at that altitude or maybe we just didn't fancy venturing higher. We were disappointed but that's the way it goes. With the shadows lengthening we realized we had to head off as we still had to get back to Dampier where the caravan was parked. We left with some wonderful photos and enjoyed the experience. Thanks Route me Baby
We camped overnight at nearby Snake Creek - in the morning we left our van and headed off to find the cache.
During our time in the Pilbara we had made many trips out to Python Pool and often wondered where this particular track would lead but for one reason or another had never ever followed it. Today was going to be the day! A very interesting trip indeed we took many photos on our way to our final destination. When within ?? metres of the cache we departed our trusty Jeep and set off on foot, at first glance the sheer cliffs had us wondering whether there was another team as sadistic as us to have planted a cache in such a difficult spot. Pretty soon Ian had worked out the best line of approach and we soon found ourselves clambering up.. It doesnt matter how many times you see this area it is always breathtaking and the view from the cache is no exception - its rather disappointing that more people havent made the effort.
We are please to report that the cache is still in excellent condition and the tape around the seal was holding up well - we naturally replaced it after opening the cache and signing the book. We left one of our Team Pathfinder Pathtags for the next finder hoping that it might just entice someone out!
Note to visitors - it took us around 2 hours from Snake Creek out to the cache and back and that included a lot of time exploring and taking photos.
We spotted several waterholes and after returning to our Jeep continued on exploring the area.
Now I am really homesick for the Pilbara again!!
Thanks for the cache

Well BIG Justin, what a great location, Fantastic views from the cache , Team Prado headed out with Comms Crew to find this elusive cache. It was a bit of a FTF for both crews as it was a Team effort. Hope to find more of your caches soon as they make for a great day out.

Decided we couldnt make Team - Route me Baby wait any longer for someone to log their cache, so after hearing all the stories from them on how hard it was to get to, Team Comms crew and Team Prado, comprising of two kids in thongs, a one legged bloke and two sort of fit adults scaled the rocks and logged the cache. It was still in good condition and the view was great.
(Note - this cache is quite difficult to get to so don't misread the humor in our log to a mate and heed the warnings!!)
