The last cache I needed to complete my Sutherland shire Cachers Challenge was a cache from 2006 and I very well think this may be the last one left! So here I am! A very nice easy walk from Caspian Place (compared to my last attempted bush cache Winnells Wander!) so was happy to go for this stroll before work this morning Made my way to Juans gorgeous views and snapped a piccie before getting down to business. A couple of swings through immediate GZ didnt result in anything so I consulted some previous logs and headed a couple of metres west of where GPS wanted me to go, well apparently my eyes were bigger than my logic and I headed straight for the massive honeycomb bluffs I could see to the west, overshooting the cache for a bit - which I then soon found was someone elses experience too After correcting these bearings the cache was soon in hand and signed! Hi Juan! Thanks for bringing me here, its absolutely gorgeous!(Recently got my stamp repaired but I think I must have repaired it back to front as the usual orientation for my stamp resulted in an upside down log signing, will have to account for that next time )Original 2006 Log is getting close to full which is a shame! Couple more signages will get us to the last page.TFTC Skydog for another awesome cache!

I definitely found this one and the log will prove it! )
Have had this one on the list for a while, not too many 2006 caches left in the Shire. Managed to do this the hard and the easy way in one go, started up top, took the wrong trail and made it almost to the bottom before realising and scaling up the boulders to get to GZ. Actually a really fun way to do it! Took a bit of hunting around at GZ after the obvious spot didnt yield any results but soon found it enjoying the spectacular views a few metres west of where the coordinates were trying to send me. Such a beautiful spot, FP from me for the views and to all those who have kept this old one humming for the last 17 years.
I climbed up from below which was tiring, and prob while it took quite a while to find. It may also possibly have been moved a bit from where previous finders found it. Anyway great to find it, and to enjoy the awesome views from up here. TFTC Sky Dog
100% would recommend reading the description before starting this one and not attacking this cache from the bottom of the hill.
Worth it for the amazing view!
Worth it for the amazing view!
Almost at the end of a lovely 8km circuit this morning, we saved this view and the cache for the end of our loop.
What a wonderful spot. Such a beautiful view in the morning sunlight.
I have wanted to walk to this one for a long time. Living in Brisbane meant we had to wait for the borders to reopen and a family get together this weekend provided the opportunity.
It was OlMaLol who finally made the find.
Log signed. Thanks

While visiting some family in the area, they took us on a lovely walk down by the river and up through the valley. We took a while looking around and finally we made the find - quite a scary spot for the hide but very happy to find the cache! Thanks for this one!
Taking advantage of a respite in heatwave conditions, headed up to the shire today to tick off a few more qualifiers for a challenge. Followed directions to the trailhead then, with a number of MTB trails in the area (some more defined than others), took a wrong turn and ended up adding several hundred metres and terrain stars on my journey back to GZ. Though a cooler day, by now every fibre in my body was shaking and exhausted, making the cliff edge scramble quite dizzying. Search finally successful, made my mark in the logbook… or something vaguely resembling a mark I was there… downed the rest of my water and found an easier and much shorter path back to the car. My advice, turn right at the trailhead, keep high and stay heading right. Now I know this, may return to enjoy the view more another day as by now I had run out of time and energy to do much more on my agenda.
PS: Hola Juan. Gracias por compartir su punto de vista de Woronora.

We enjoyed the walk to GZ. A very nice piece of bushland and a pleasant LO at GZ. Despite being at a LO, the cache is hidden in a spot that would make it difficult for muggles. A bit of a scramble to the right location. Saw the cache peeking out of its bedroom window. A slightly awkward scramble to the doorway to retrieve the cache. A bit of fun. Thanks Sky Dog. Worth a FP
Well I must admit, I didn't read the cache page properly before heading to this one so ended up parking along Wye Cl and looking up at a sandstone wall. Well it took a bit of effort, but we still got to GZ from this street without too much fuss... well I did anyway. Left geo-crew on a rock halfway down the mountain. After going up, down, around and over the rocks multiple times, I finally spotted something from above which warranted further investigation. Went down to have a look and couldn't really see anything special so went on my way to a different section. It wasn't until I returned to that spot later on (after all it was where the GPS was pointing) and got into a different angle that I saw it, just as geocrew were yelling out that they were going home and leaving me on top of the mountain if I didn't come down. Phew! Gosh I have missed scrambling through rocks. The cache reminded me just how much I enjoy it, even if I did come from the wrong side. Thanks for the cache- fav point for the great hide and making me work for it!
Rumour has it there's an event in these parts today. Better get me some other caches while in the area.
This one took a long time to find. There were several places to investigate. I sure did earn the 2.5 terrain stars by the time I had hopped and clambered over that sandstone outcrop! Great views though. And a cache from 2006! That's a golden oldie!

#2857 that was an adventure went up Wye CL then headed up from there working my way up through the various levels till I got to the top and saw a track then went up and down the various spots looking in all the caves and overhangs with honeycombing almost missed the one with the cache just saw a bit of the container.
With cache in hand we signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for bringing me to the area and thanks for placing the cache Sky Dog
So I went to the top and followed the track then came across I recognised from a previous cache but couldn't remember what eventually I realised I was on the wrong ridge so decided I would follow it. At one point there were a group of workers so asked what was the way to Prince Edward Park Rd. He pointed down the road that there was a fire trail that wasn't on the GPSr so I went that way. Soon I was back at the car 90 minutes after I left nice to have that walk

Hey Juan, what a beautiful spot here. I initially climbed 1 level too high and looked under an overhang to spot a diamond python slithering away, yikes! I then went down to he next level where I had a run in with a very scary looking spider. After getting away from all the wildlife, I managed to spot the cache in its little hidey hole. The cache is in good nick and well stocked, thank you sky dog and Juan for giving me the opportunity to share the views with you from this beautiful spot
I thought id go grab a couple of caches before heading off to vote today.
Ive spent quite a bit of time down below and ive parked multiple times on Thorp Road at a spot almost in view from the GZ but ive never come at the area from the Woronora Heights end before.
After parking on Caspian Place i headed along the fire trail. After heading into the bush i followed the many paths and bike trails and made my way to the relevant cliff.
Thanks to the hint it only took a couple of minutes to spot the cache and i soon had things signed.
A lovely view of the river through the trees.
Thanks.

Great view and hiding spot. Made life more difficult for myself than needed by heading directly to this cache from 01022010 but fortunately it's quite doable. The exit via the firetrail and streets was far easier tho.
Theres also an xmas themed unlisted cache hidden about 350m down from here.
Ahoy hoy Juan! Hope life in Argentina is going well.

A peaceful stroll down the track. Said G'day to the local wallabies and rozellas. Admired the view at the top then inched my way towards the cache. There are some very delicate looking rock structures around here so please be careful. TFTC and hello Juan
Got here just after sunset and into twilight. What a beautiful lookout. After admiring the views, a little bit of a walk and a bit of awkward maneouvering, I soon had cache in hand. TFTC
After a DNF here last month, mainly because I wasn't confident enough to climb back up to the top after descending below to gz (I walked in along the top of the ridge from Caspian Place), frazeydaze volunteered to accompany me at a future date. Today was the day and after parking at the start of the Caspian Fire Trail we had a leisurely walk in along the ridge towards gz. After admiring the spectacular views it was time to search for the cache. Being very careful not to slip, we descended the rocks to just below gz and looked up. With a bit of a struggle we made our way up, and with not a lot of room to manouvre, we searched and eventually found the cache.
With another cache for the challenge ticked off we were on our way back to the car. TFTC Sky Dog thanks for taking me (2) to this stunning location. Oh and by the way hello Juan in Argentina.

I can see how oldmorty found access to this cache a little difficult. So today I'm here to help with the progression of his challenge. Working as a team, we made our way down the slope and with some very careful manoeuvres, up into a very small space (for two) to search for the cache. We found it - thank heavens. (I was a little worried for a while.) Now for the return to the surface. TFTC Sky Dog and a howdy to Juan.
Enjoyed the lovely walk towards GZ. We lost the trail a couple of times but it wasn’t any bother.
The view from GZ was superb and once on the right level the structure was very interesting.
Cool weathering makes fir a sneaky hidey hole.
Hey Juan!

OCW the Bebes. We followed the instructions but took a left on the bike track by mistake. After realising our error we bush bashed uphill to the ridge and picked up bike track again following to GZ. A quick search near a tell tale Rick column had the cache in hand. Tftc
Wow so lovely day for a walked along to GZ. surprised to see the awesome view and loved the structure.. so happy make it Signed the log with sevabo. Thanks for organising the cache and hunt.

Hello Sky Dog and hello Juan. If I could 20 favourite points to a cache, i would give it to this one. I loved everything about it. I got lost, I thought I was heading towards a climb down that was beyond my nerves, but I found a better way. I don't like going under caves or rocks because I have a fear that any natural structure, no matter how many millions of years it has been standing, will collapse when I am on, in, or under it. I'm not sure if it has a name...maybe I should name this phobia.
But I crawled in under there and retrieved the cache. Not only that, I stayed there for a few minutes to rest and enjoy the moment. Also, i did this alone. Great cache...great cache indeed.

Making Worronorra Heights unsafe today! Two DNFs, four finds.
Excellent little track to get here, beautiful views and great hiding place. TFTC!

Finally found after much scrambling and almost giving up. Geodog was not impressed with the toy. TFTC.
What a great view! Was a bit confusing getting there (from above) due quite a few paths leading in the same general direction, but once we got closer to GZ we gradually got closer to the cache and within 10 minutes, CIH. Liked the container and the goodies in it. Loved the view! We took the trackable as well. TFTC!
What a great hide!
Came from parking in Wyee Close. A bit of a scramble uphill until I found the hint described. A quick poke around with no success so I stepped back to check the compass. As I edged closer something caught my eye. Looked from one side then realised it must be removed from the other side. So it's CIH and log signed. Dropped off a TB and made a few swaps.
I can see why Juan enjoyed it so much here. The view and peacefulness here is wonderful. A nice opportunity to rest before I head back to the car. All the best to you Juan back in Argentina. Coordinates are pretty spot on!

Sneaky little hide and great views with a pleasant walk to get there. Exactly what a straight forward cache like this should be like. TFTC
Went today with camofreak1 to find this good cache. With the new amazing Garmin E-trex 20 GPS I got it wasn't long until we found it. amazing that a structure in the vicinity is held by only a few rocks - WOW.
Finally the cache is in nearly perfect condition and is a well designed cache
TFTC Sky Dog for this outstanding cache.

#2231 - Found by Marg after a bit of a hunt, initially missed it. Check out the koala bear in the tree above! Many thanks to the cache owner Sky Dog for establishing and maintaining this cache as well as the interesting story. What a great view, worthy of a favourite.
Loved the cache and the location! The rock formations and the view were just amazing. Picked up the trackable, will move it along. TFTC

Having walked back from K9 Kache, I found myself near Wye Close, meaning a step climb to this cache.
Made my way up without too much trouble, just probably over careful.
My, that looks steep from up here...
Attained the rocks near the top of the ridge and checked the iPhone. Made my way to the indicated spot... not there, or there... oh, there it is.
Completed signing duties and replaced. Kept looking down... didn't fancy the climb down, and even though it is a long way around, there are other caches to the West.
So hauled myself to the top of the ridge - fantastic views - and started along the bike trails until I made Albatross Circuit.
Only a bit over a kilometre back to the car... was that thunder?
For the climb and the view, a favourite point.

Wow, the views were great from up here. And the formations at GZ were impressive.
We parked I the street below. Considered driving around to the top, then figured it was only about 70m. It proved a nice little climb and we were soon at the top.
Coming down was a bit slippery, with al the leaves, but easy enough if you take care where you step.
Thanks

We realised when we parked that the car GPS had brought us to the closest point to the cache, but not at the recommended parking coordinates. We took a look at the slope and decided just to go up, like we would in the mountains. We eventually reached some nice rock overhangs, with an especially interesting formation when this cache was hidden. I wondered whether it might eventually erode and topple down hill some time in the future. It was a nice easy find, and then back down the hill, careful over a lot of loose leave litter, back to the car. Thanks

On a caching trip with Equipe Des Fous, with the main aim to find Illa Wong, we had detoured to pick up a particular TB. Then we detoured some more to climb the hill, and to admire nature's artworks.
Nearby to where the cache was hidden, a cave roof looked supported by an unusual rock. We had differing views as to whether someone had placed it there, or if it was there naturally.

Chudles and I were on a mission to find Illa Wrong and this provided another pleasant detour. It was a great climb up from the street below. (We didn't read the description beforehand. Or maybe chudles did - he likes high terrain!) Nice container and a good hide. TFTC Sky Dog
I'd been wanting to do this cache for a while. Altaire and I approached this from above. We came up the bushtrails from The Crescent below then wound our way along a residential street to Caspian Place where we walked in along a beautiful fire trail. The anghophorras were amazing and large with many distinguishing bumps. No bike riders today but we did have an awesome view from GZ. A very pleasant place for morning tea. Juan certainly picked a lovely spot for his morning walks. The cache was nicely hidden and retrieved by Sir Altaire. Another classic Sky Dog cache. Thanks.
This was our favourite cache of a day's caching and one that we'd often thought about (but never quite got around to doing), during other visits to the area. We wended our way with Tronador along the delightful and easy track which follows the ridge through some pleasant bush. Obviously a bit of mountain biking goes on hereabouts but there were none about today. As we neared the end the views became more apparent and were very good out over the Woronora river below to mostly green clad hills yonder. After retrieving the cache from it's nice hide we sat atop the rocks just enjoying the place whilst we partook of morning tea. Excellent cache.
A very pleasant walk in from Caspian Place. Perfect weather for bush walking and a reward of a fantastic view at the end. High tide on the river below and a fair bit of activity from boats on this Good Friday holiday. Thanks for bringing us here Sky Dog. The cache is in tip top condition.
Found today, read the cache and attempted from the top, nice walk in exercise for the day, when I arrived near GZ, I was not sure which way to go of course I went the long way and then had to climb under to retrieve the cache. the container was full of trades. Signed log and replaced TFTC
Definitely another fav point.
I first looked at this one when I started caching the region. Paeked at the given waypoint i looked up and thought maybe later.
Today i found myself at the right elevation but on my last bit of energy. I trudged my way down, and don't regret it. What a view!
Just glad i didn't stand on top of the cave as its only being held up by an inch of rock.

Took the 75 metre heart pumper climb from below the cache - surely 75m couldn't be that tough, could it? Well - be my guest and have a go! Worth it for the view at the top though.
Heart pumping climb, We all need the fitness and adventure. SL, TNLN. Nice work Sky Dog
What an amazing place and the views were just spectacular. Said hi to Juan while I was up there as I needed to take in the view a little longer as I had come from the bottom after visiting another cache in the area. If you attempt this one, COME FROM THE TOP, it is a long slow climb up. Thanks Sky Dog this was a fantastic location and hide worthy of a favourite.
This has to be the best location in the area. Fantastic views!
Juan, I can see why you were a regular visitor to this place when you worked here. Hope things are going well with with you? This area seems to be a popular walk for locals with their dogs. We were not the first here ) See the photo gallery.
GPS was a tad random for a while but settled down eventually. Had the cache in hand.... once we were very close to GZ let Jordan do the find as it was his birthday.
Took the white rubber man and transported him to 01022010 and left a mandarin and some alphabet blocks.

I really don't know why it has taken me so long to hunt for this cache.

It took some time for me to find this one. Terrain is quite difficult at GZ. I have been to this lookout many times and never realised a cache was here.
I have lived in the valley for 10 years and never have I been here before! Took a direct frontal attack on the hill to get to the top. Once there the cache was quick to find in an awesome spot! On the way down came across the mountain bike course. All in all a superb cache!!
a last minute decision to grab this one of the planned route. Thinking it would be an easy driveby? I should have know better. Enjoyed the direct route up to GZ and soon spotted the cache in a spot I would have hidden it as wel. great views indeed!

Hi Juan!!
Spectacular views!! Thinking I needed some exercise I decided to approach the one from below. Boy oh boy! Eventually got to the top and signed the log. I'll say this no matter how long it takes you to get to the top it's always much quicker on the way down especially when you roll a portion of the way! TNLN TFTC!!
Much appreciated

Great hide and fantastic location. This one was one of my favorite caches for the weekend. SLTN..TFTC

Picked up a travel bug eat, sleep, cache. Ocyybx. But it can not be located as an active cache.
Started at the top, but wait the K9 cache is closer. Bush bashed down to that one, followed the pipeline round and then realized I needed to bush bash back up. Damn. Out of breath at GZ. Took the time to catch my breath and soak up the view.
Then dropped the cache and had to retrieve it from half way down the hill. I got my workout today. Great spot. Thanks

Hello Juan,
Thanks to Sky Dog for the Cache.
What a great view you have enjoyed from here.
I visited with a group of trackables so that their owners get a chance to see some of the Cache locations around my local Caching area and in this case, take in a great view.
Took Budda TB and left Speed Racer vs. Racer X TB. Great to find a Cache which has trackables that can be swapped.

Hi Juan - hope Argentina is fine today. I hope you were able to appreciate this spot when you were in Australia. It is a fantastic view. Went up there yesterday, accessed from the Woronora side - found an access point where the trees aren't as dense. TFTC TNLN
was here 2/12 with zeph. Greatest suburb in Sydney, top view and the locals are lovely!
Bit of a bush bash up a steep hill in thongs. Took us a good 10 mins of looking and when we finally found it we thought 'how did we miss it?' TFTC. Number 50!

What a fantastic cache. Pleasant walk in, with excellent views at the end. The rock structure was amazing too.
Hello to Juan, we can see why you loved it here so much. Thanks for sharing the views .
We signed the log and noticed that "The Neighbs" had already visited this one today. Took nothing, left toy car and dragon spinner geocoin which is looking for other places dragons might be. We thought that this looked like a dragons hideout!

Hi Juan! What a great spot. I loved everything about this cache, the walk in, the viewing point and the view. The rock formations are unbelievable! especially the one suspended by the wind eroded rock. Thanks for bringing me here.
Got to this one the hard way but worth it for a fantastic view, thoroughly recommended!
