Logs
I do live a long way from it these days, but all the recent logs seem to suggest that all is well with it so will clear the NM flag.
Tftc. Sad place. Took a diversion from Trezona Circuit to get here. The dead tree in the hint is doing remarkably well.
Four nights in the Flinders Range NP and teh souroundings. So mch to do and see. We stoppt at some Geocaches. This is one we are able to log a found. Thank you for the cache.
Found it! Quick find here, at a spot we have been to before we found out about geocaching! #412 TFTC
After a night at Rawnsley we made our way to Hawker before heading north to the Brachina Gorge and back to Rawnsley as a loop drive, our last as we neared the end of the gorge drive through road, we enjoyed the comfort of our vehicles these pioneers did this very tough in this harsh environment, quick find and in great conditionTFTC richary
Travelling with richlink from Perth to Darwin up along the west coast and home again through the centre and the Nullarbor, picking up caches along the way. We headed off on a round trip from Hawker to Blinman. The scenery was stunning. We also enjoyed the history of the area. Thanks for the cache.
Travelling with iluvtrekking up the WA coast to Darwin, down the Centre and now in the Flinders Ranges. We haven’t been further than Hawker on previous trips and are in awe of the stunning scenery. Thanks for the hide.
TFTC Thank you for hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity. Cache is in good condition

Cache and log are good. I left a (very long) silver chain necklace...after I untangled a clump of them. I mostly blame this one for the tangle; it's so long. TFTC richary.
30 June 2022 3:32 pm Found with the Hardacres on our School holidays trip to the FlindersRanges. Thanks Richary for the cache.

Yes a tough life for sure - but what of the life of the local people. No mention of any frontier wars anywhere in the region. The colonists didn’t only open up the centre

What a sad story. Poor Emma we really have no concept these days everything on a platter. Nice quick find TFTC Richary
TFTC. Sad but harsh reality of being outback and in those days no resources to help.
We enjoyed the drive today with ilook4geo, through the Flinders Ranges with all its rugged mountains and different rock formations. This was an easy cache to find as it is a lovely larger size. Log was signed with both names before being put back as it had been found. Thanks go to Richary for placing this cache.
Spent a very pleasant day in the Flinders Ranges with goingplaces2 and this was one of the caches we either found or completed. Learned some interesting things and enjoyed the ones that we were able to find for a smiley. TFTC.
Wandering back in the general direction of camp I stopped here to check out the memorial site Definitely would have been a hard life out here Thanx for the Adventure Stay Dirty ️

Day four of a camping trip testing out my new swag. I am slowly making my way up to the Flinders Ranges and taking my time exploring lots of little towns along the way.
After spending the night at Rawnsley Park Station, I was up early to make the most of the glorious weather.
Quick find here. Cache and contents are both in good condition.
Thanks for the cache Richary.

After a long day on the tracks, time for one more cache before heading back to Hawker for a happy hour beverage or two. Sad reminder of the times when copper etc travelled through Brachina Gorge to Spencer Gulf. Tftc
These remote graves are always sad, but this one...imagine burying your toddler and having to leave her. Worth a stop to reflect. I left a pen and a better pencil, plus some swaps. Thanks Richard.
A long weekend away with sir_spectre in the Flinders Ranges. We had each been here before and strangely had few double ups so some revisiting was in order to try to get our maps similar. The weather threw everything at us but we just made our plans suit the conditions. Lots of 4WD and walks included.

This was a great stop so sad. Curious for more details. The cache is needing a new container if anyone see’s this prior to visiting we are not from this area and had nothing with to use. TFTC
Came and stayed in the campground at Willow Springs for 5 nights with friends...
Today we ventured out into Brachina Gorge but stopped to collect a few caches along the way...
It certainly was harsh out here and it still is, being how dry & desolate it is...
So sad to see graves of young ones who did not make it to adulthood...
A lovely tribute...
The cache could do with some TLC, it's lid is broken and the inside exposed, though it will probably be okay if it does not rain...

Checked out Buneyroo and Brachina Gorges this morning then on to Blinman. Stopped to get this cache on the way and pay respects to little Emma Smith. TFTC
Found with Jac-Jam while driving the Flinders Ranges from Parachilna . This was a quick find. in some rough but pretty and interesting country. We spent half a day driving around the area and finding a few geocaches. TFTC.
We wondered what caused poor Emma’s death in such an isolated area at such a young age, it could have been a myriad of things from illness to injury to exposure. Lovely to see the area is well tended to and her memory lives on.
The cache lid has completely disintegrated but the contents were quite dry in the hiding spot, despite there being lots of rain the day before. Unfortunately we didn’t have a replacement container on hand.

Found on a short trip up to the Flinders Ranges with Freddo to undertake some cache maintenance and pick up a few other caches.
Got to enjoy the beautiful winter weather we are having, although the country is looking pretty dry in places.
As previously noted by others, the lid of the container is damaged. Unfortunately we didn’t have a suitable-sized replacement with us today. But the contents are still dry and will stay that way for a good bit longer if it is replaced carefully and with that in mind.
Thanks Richary for the cache.

Found while we toured a circuit of the Flinders Ranges, Marree, Roxby Downs, Woomera and Port Augusta for the week, mostly touring the backroads and visiting many scenic and interesting locations. Thanks for the cache Richary!
In and around the area with SupaOrange and SupaTurtle. Finding some Traditionals and collecting info for Earth caches. Thanks for making me stop here.
Heading into the gorge we stopped here for a look.
Lots of roos close to the road today.

In the Flinders Ranges now, we stopped again for this cache as it was a grave site. What a big grave for a two year old child! Thanks for placing the cache Richary.
We've been wanting to drive the Strzelecki Track for a long time so a window of opportunity came up and we were out the gate!! We travelled up the Birdsville Track and down from Innamincka. Had a great time caching and admiring many views of the outback. The only casualty was the windscreen which had a close encounter with a rock on day 3. Got told in Birdsville that it wasn't bad enough to freight another up. Luckily it made it all the way home with the help of duct tape. We found some great views and historical places thanks to geocaching.

A wonderful afternoon drive out through the ranges.
So much Stunning scenery, wildlife and wallaby.
We were fortunate to see the yellow footed wallabies grazing on the freshly sprouting green grasses at the bottom of the rocky ridges.
Around to the old station building remnants, the stonework, the handiwork, the huts, the old garden pathways.
True pioneers out here, so much history. RIP little Emma.
Thanks for sharing this interesting spot, the stories and the wonderful history of the local area.
We found your cache tucked away nicely and with signing duties done and dusted we replaced the cache as found.

We found this one after driving the Brachina Gorge Geological Trail, this was our first cache in South Australia, yay! Nice spot and certainly a tragic death and story behind Emma's grave.
Lid is broken, but we exchanged the ziplock bag for a new one.

Today was our primary day of hiking within the Flinders Ranges with a group of friendly Geocachers: jesswrigley, Laighside Legends, gridge98, and *the Godfather* (aka Freddo). The main target was Bathtub Creek, and then geocaching towards Parachilna via Blinman. A pleasant day to be in the outdoors, whilst trying to dodge the increasing flies.
A quick cache find during our visit today here. Some interesting history and we thought it was odd that this burial was more famous than other pioneers that had setup shop here and must have had similar hardships. A great location for a cache, thanks.

Seeing as I now live in Sydney it will be a long time before I can get back there, especially as I don't have a car at the moment. If someone can replace the container for me it would be much appreciated, I am happy to reimburse you for it.
