Find # 125107/7/2024 22:07Driving around Bathurst on a coolish winters day picking up some of the mini puzzles solved over the past year or two since my last visit.Have had a wonderful weekend with a group from Canberra, signed as CBI24, and now going solo for the rest of the day before I head home to Canberra this afternoon. Thanks Team AAA for Boundary Walk
#22380 @1130Visiting Bathurst for the weekend from Canberra. After a convoy of Canberra cachers 'raced' around the track collecting all the caches, smittengranny and I wandered around this reserve. A welcome change of pace. Cache soon found. TFTC.
After completing the cache up on the road, TikvaNZ and I headed out to find some of the caches on the nearby walking trail. This was one of the ones we found. Thanks again Team AAA. Log was signed and returned to where it was found.
#6029Out on a fabulous ANZAC weekend caching adventure with Ash_Kate and Rama497. Our base for the weekend was Bathurst where we hoped we could find lots of fun caches in and around and enjoy some relaxing time away from Sydney. What a great nature reserve this is with so many kangaroos. Found an Osage Orange which I'd never see before. Thanks for the geofun.
Quick find at GZ after getting some amazingly photos of the kangaroos lounging nearby. TFTC
A surprisingly easy find. The GPS did jump around so we looked for a familiar bush hide. Bingo we got it. A very bright colour that is hidden well. TFTC
Had a good look around where the gps said but couldn't find this one...gps did keep changing.

At the end of a long day driving from one Joshwa27 cache to another, we opted for a bushwalk in search of Kangaroos. We were not disappointed. This cache had us going around in circles as each one of the (phone)GPS devices showed a different GZ.
TFTC Team AAA.

We've come out to Bathurst for the weekend for a mini geo-holiday, with the focus mainly on collecting a bunch of pre-solved puzzle caches. After running parkrun in -2 degrees, GGCoconut and I met up with Team Canary and Its_Dozzie for a yummy breakfast before systematically making our way around Bathurst, Mt Panorama and beyond to grab said caches. Really enjoying our walk through this lovely reserve. This golden oldie had us going in circles initially until Team Canary finally laid eyes on the well hidden cache. TFTC!
Great walk with the family! Excited to find our first one. Put another treasure in it
A chance to get away for a Canberra Long weekend was taken and so fitzy_1965 and I made plans to head to Bathurst. It was our first try at camping in the back of the GeoMover. Whilst it was chilly, it was much better than having to set up a tent in the freezing cold. Snow is definitely on the way!
It has been a while since we headed up this way as evident by the explosion of unfound caches up this way. Always good to find a Joshwa27 cache or two but turned out to be a lot more this weekend.
All caches were found quickly and easily. Many thanks to all the CO’s.
A nice bonus for me as fitzy had found this a few years ago.

TFTC Team AAA, cache found, log signed. Cache returned to hide. All while being watched by kangaroos.
We have travelled from Sydney’s Northern Beaches to Bathurst for a 9 day holiday, camping in our Jayco Swan Outback Camper Trailer at the Bathurst NRMA Big4 Caravan Park, and plan to collect some caches & Adventure Labs in the Bathurst and surrounding areas.
Today we went on a cache collecting loop walk around Boundary Road Reserve, then headed back up to Mount Panorama to have a go at a D5 cache, which we missed on our previous visit to the mount. Then, after returning to camp for lunch and a swim, we visited Kelso for a largish MultiCache and a previously solved Mystery/Puzzle cache. This was the 5th of 10 finds for the day (day 5), and 85th find of the holiday.
This was the next cache we came to on our walk around Boundary Road Reserve, and a nice quick find on arrival at GZ. Signed the log, swapped a trinket, and then replaced as found. We were watched over by a large mob of kangaroos, sitting very close to GZ, as we signed the log. TFTC Team AAA.

Nice evening walk in this area finding 2 of the 3 caches here. TFTC

It's starting to heat up as we make our way here. The roos encamped at GZ seemed to agree and didn't look too happy as we approached. The decided discretion was the better part of valour (they are flight animals after all) and departed so we could make our search.

Thanks for the great walk in this area! So many roos, and so calm, even with some of the joeys in their pouches. Thanks for bringing us here today!
TFTC and the great walk. So many HUGE Roos. Dropped fish charm found at ‘Roo View’ cache down the road. Kids taking army man to drop at next find.
Very tricky find. About to give up when it was found. Not a milo tin but it was found TFTC
We have had a wonderful time caching around Bathurst and today we were fortunate to have the company of our friends Scenic Routers who added to the fun and encouraged us with some creative caching tricks. This was one of the caches we targetted and found. Thanks to Team AAA for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
In Bathurst for the weekend and only having limited time to cache i selected ones with older dates. On the way to the cache there was a large mob of kangaroos with a really big male. Thankfully they hopped away and didn't bother us. Took a few minutes to spot the cache. TFTC
That was a nice walk as the early morning sun thawed out the frost, with a mob of kangaroos for company.
5961 Found by baby&Mrs gopher at 1205 on our day stop over at Bathurst. It has been a long time since we had the opportunity to have a look around the village. Walked from the gate along the water tower road. Took a little while to get there after wandering through the long grass. All in good condition. SL Tnx Team AAA
Headed off to find this cache with one of our students - a city girl who after this experience will possibly never come to the bush again! I left her waving her arms around to shoo flies and bouncing up and down on the track to avoid ants while I headed off into the long grasses to find the cache. GZ moved all over the place and it took me way longer to find than it should have, I nearly gave up but had that one last look and there it was. At least, I did find a cache container with a log book and everything in it but it does not match the container in the description.
TFTC, I had as much fun laughing at the city girl as I did hunting!

Been waiting for a day to clear up on the calendar to do the bolt up to Bathurst to start getting the cache numbers under control. Thirty caches for the day and only 3 dnfs. It will take a few future trips to really make a dint in Bathurst but as it's only my second visit to the town I'm quite impressed with not only the caches but a beautiful town and community. There definitely some caching history in town with more than a dozen caches I come across around or more than ten years old good to see to some longevity! Can't wait to be back with the geokid! Thanks to all the cache owners.
