After collecting the coords for this one last time we were in Maryborough, called in here for a quick find while on our way to Bundaberg. TFTC mick & Kaz
A nice walk around the posted coordinates, found the answer to one question quickly and had a problem with the other one just could not find it but Google helped out and we had a set or coords for the final. It was a quick find at GZ we could see the cache from the side of the road just needed to go through the fence to sign the log and replace as found. It is always good to find an oldie. Thanks mick & Kaz.
Konie and I headed to Maryborough to find a few caches. We found a variety of cache types, containers and D/Ts. Thanks to the COs, we had a lot of fun and laughs. TFTC
Found on our way home from an overnight stay in Maryborough. Great to find another oldie. Tftc!
Long way out from the starting point but coords were spot on. Needed to cross a fence which is never fun and there was a huge spider waiting.Signed as The Roos with drobbonz kimmy533 and kiwisteve2. We embarked on the Weir Adventure multi-cache journey, navigating through the picturesque landscape in search of hidden treasures. The coordinates led us to a tranquil spot where we uncovered the clues to unlock the secrets of this intriguing cache. After carefully deciphering the clues, we followed the path to the final destination, where the cache awaited discovery. With anticipation building, we uncovered the hidden container and recorded our find in this log.Thank you for the adventure! Happy caching!
Found with Dora the Explorer! We spent the weekend in Maryborough with a view to grabbing some targeted caches. This was one of those. It is nice to find some of the older caches. TFTC
Muggle65 and l are attempting to build our multi numbers, so here we are. Thank you for the fun
Heading north we needed to stop for this oldie. Our third visit to the area, and we keep finding caches to find
Out and about with friends, do a few that we mist in Maryborough. This being one of them. Tftc
I was thinking it was time to head north for some geocaching goodness. When I then saw an Event up here I decided to make it happen. Last night I camped nearby. After breakfast and of course coffee.. there may or may not have been two.. I decided to first visit a couple of trig points, one on Mount Benargie and one over at a very impressive fire tower. I then headed towards a string of challenge caches that were added to my to-do list. Logs signed then I ventured into town. I wanted to tackle this old multi the last time I was in town but ran out of time. Today I had plenty of that. As I was approaching the listed coordinates I noticed a lady analysing paperwork and a guy beside her holding and looking at a GPS. I instantly knew they were geo-nerds (takes one to know one haha). I said hello and we introduced ourselves then decided to join forces. It took longer than expected to get the numbers but patience prevailed. We drove to the cache and found everything in great condition. Thanks for placing.
Cheers

Currently staying at Hervey Bay, today we decided to pick up a few caches along the way and this was one of them.
Enjoyed exploring the area, and your cache was one we found along the way. As we were collecting the information we met up ith another geocacher, Wayn0. Once collected all infoe we both headed off to GZ and made a quick find
Many thanks for placing this cache and adding to our geocaching experience today.

Out caching with CaptainVimes. We calculated the finals a couple of days ago and made it to GZ today for a quick find. Thanks for the fun mick & Kaz
Djelibeybi has spent seven thousand years building pyramids for her monarchs, and has driven herself bankrupt. The two most recent monarchs have been more eager for international trading and technological advances like plumbing and bridges/viaducts, ideally with crenellations from which the formerly sacred river crocodiles may be shot at/have large stones dropped on them from a suitably great height.

Finally. This is my third or perhaps fourth attempt to get to this cache - having sorted coords many many years ago. It seems each trip to Maryborough I make there's a flood and the weir is underwater. In fact this today is the first time I've ever seen the road here. I can see why it floods easily. Back again today, along with T4mmmy, and despite some threatening clouds we made it across at last. Upon which this was a very quick find through the fence. Thankyou for keeping this oldie alive for me.
Thanks mick & Kaz for entertaining me at this location.

My traveling companions had been here before but were gracious to stop and allow me to grab this oldie. With an idea of the hiding spot from the hint, was surprised what I thought would be a vertical structure is now horizontal. Found after walking it's length. Thanks mick & Kaz et all for keeping this oldie on life support.

A planned trip north with a mate, to check out some of the countryside and do some camping in some not so usual spots. It has been fun and the best part is I get to cache in places I do not usually get to visit. It was also a good chance to catch up with a few local and other travelling cachers.
I grabbed a couple while on the road and then meet up with granny, imbunda, snickers, and triple turmoil to get stuck into the brollie series. We spent a good deal of the day racing along. There were some good hides and then there were those that we just could not find as easily. Over all it was “fun” but we got them all done in the day. I guess it is better with a few looking as opposed to just one.
While doing the series we got this one when passing. Thanks for the hide, we signed the log and replaced as found.

While stayin up at Maryborough for a few days we cached around the district. I was up here a few years ago and got the information but there was a road block so I couldn't get any further so I put it in the too hard basket so this visit I made sure I turned it into a Smilie.Log signed before replacing as found. Enroute to Hervey Bay for four days and three nights hiking a portion of the Fraser Island Great Walk, we managed an early start, primarily so we could beat the traffic, but also so we find a carefully selected mix of caches along the way.
This older cache, one of Qld's oldest 500, was on my list today, though my two Bromance team mates had previously found it. On the short journey from the previous cache, they relayed their story of the terrible rain storm that was happening when they found it. Having completed tree fishing duties nearby, they allowed me a brief stop here to make the find. All in good order.
Thanks mick& kaz

After not being able to spot the two previous tree fishing attempts it was great to have a multi that worked for us and we found easily.
Day 4 & 5 in Maryborough. We thought we would continue to look around town and spend our time caching here. It didn't quite work out as we thought as there were a number of caches in parks and reserves and we ventured wider as well. A good variety of caches and hides all in generally good condition. We had mixed results on a number of tree fishing attempts. Some we just couldn't spot, others we couldn't reach with our fishing pole. Will have to look at some further modifications when we get home! We did manage to get a couple though!
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache mick & Kaz.

Sticking to the list Eskies5 had devised to collect just the right caches for our trip home to Toowoomba meant that we needed to be selective. This was one that ticked a few different boxes, we collected the needed numbers before beginning to head towards home. This one was a little detour to get to the final but we were happy to tick this one of and have a smiley here TFTC mick & Kaz
Heading home after an overnight trip with Kestal from Toowoomba to Hervey Bay to tick off a few boxes. We visited the posted coords on arrival in Maryborough. After picking up all we needed in the area we headed off to Gympie taking a detour to the final here. A nice quick find. The weir was a surprise with lots of water going over. TFTC mick & Kaz
After the multi was solved, I went to final this morning.

We are staying a couple of days in Maryborough to get some more smilies.
Multis are not our favourites, but now we are at least trying them. When we get the correct coords in a first attempt, we allocate a fav point.
Even though the area today was fenced off for the preparation for the wine festival tomorrow, we got the requested information, and headed off to a final which hadn't been found for a while.
To our surprise, there was the cache! Bingo! After all those floods! A fav point, of course!

We solved this ages ago on a holiday before we moved to Hervey Bay from VIC. Today we decided on a short trip to Maryborough to clean to some cache. I saw this and said " oh we have missed a multi her" on further inspection the final coords were in my notes and out we came. Lovely spot here but we are a bit buggered so we will come back and explore this place at another time. Happy to turn this one into a smiliey finally.
A couple of days ago we arrived in Maryborough on our way to Hervey Bay and sourced the information. We struggled to find one plaque until a quick Google search showed us where it was located.
Two days later we were back to do some shopping and what looked like a busted day had turned gold and so we drove out from town to make sure we could still add and minus numbers at our age. We still can because the cache was exactly where it was supposed to be. tftc

This multi took us on a fine journey, and although we had trouble getting started, with the help of some friends we were able to find our way to the end. We were not expecting such a spectacular weir, which we enjoyed crossing on the way to the final find hear.
Happy to sign this one!

Great park and plaque. Had to resort to google for a hint on where to look but soon had coordinates in hand and off for a drive to locate cache. Found no problems. Tftc.
I found this cache on a trip with Snickersallan, I thank all CO's for the time and effort putting out and maintaining the caches, all were enjoyed. TFTC
Picked up all the revelant information the previous night and worked out the sums then went in search of this old cache today.
The good hint made for a nice quick find once at GZ, thanks CO.

TFTC. We have had the final co-ordinates for this cache for a few years. Last time we came to look there appeared to have been a fire around GZ and the cache was no where to be seen. Forward to today. We are in Maryborough for a week or so. A lovely sunny day we took thre opportunity to have a drive out to Teddington weir to find a few brew caches and to rectify one that seemed to have been a nemesis for us. A quick find here of an old cache.
On my way to my daughter's, I have wanted to complete this one for a long time and today that happened. The weird was up to the top with water. Parked nearby and made a quick find. Signed the log and returned to where I found it. Thanks Mick and Kaz. All good with this cache and multi.
Tftc Mick and Kaz, struggled with the multi a bit, came up with the info eventually. Easy find at GZ.
Fun little multi and a short hop to GZ. The weir itself is quite interesting and caught off guard by the sharp incline in the road
Have struggled with terrain ratings on caches hidden by *some* of the local Mary COs. They tend to be under-cooked. This was one of those. I’d be happy to see a T2 on this cache.
A quick find at GZ and all is well with the cache

A few weeks back I was asked if I would like to go on a weekend caching trip chasing some target caches. With a leave passed granted, if I got all my work done at home, and seeing i would be on holidays anyways, a green light soon appeared.
Our last day of caching as a group and with target caches set, we were off. We had some multi’s, oldies, letterboxes, trads, puzzles and a lab series on the list to collect today, yes a busy day. The list did get added to as we passed a few others along the way.
Multi’s, you either love em or hate em, but we had to do this one being the vintage it was. Oh what wait, lucky for us this one had a final in the direction we were heading and a little ways out of town. While we still had a list to complete in town this one was grabbed on our way home.
An easy grab and with log signed and cache returned it was off to the next on the list. Thank you for placing it here.

Found with Nyssaflutterby on our escaping reality for the weekend road trip!
We had a plan to find the most caches in a day for both of us (for me just 52, for Nyssa 122!) so after completing a trail we continued on caching for the rest of the day. We could have found a lot more but the heat was against us.
What an odd piece of fencing. Cache was quickly located here.

Wombles and I were on a mission today. A week ago I had a crazy idea of trying to better my top finds in a day. So this is how we found ourselves in this part of QLD. With a new power trail available it was the perfect place. We had just completed all of the available 101 series and now only needed about another 20ish caches.
Yesterday, while doing a night time caching raid, wombles and I made sure to collect the required information to access the final coords for this cache. We knew we would be coming back this way on our journey home and I was interested in seeing the fish ladder.
After checking out the weir we made our way to GZ. That small fence is kind of odd! Why bother putting it there if it’s not a whole fence? Ah well, I guess it’s good that it is not a full fence as it would make finding the cache a bit trickier. Found the beasty without a hassle.
Thanks for the smiley and adventure mick & Kaz
Happy to part with a FP for this cache.

Up in the Bundaberg area with 2/3 of The Bromance; Swellerfungus and Seff, for a weekend of caching as per the mammoth list put together by the J.E.F.F app. We’d grabbed a few caches on the way up Friday night with a brief pause for dinner in Gympie, before camping in a sneaky spot not far out of Bundaberg for 4 hours of quality sleep, and spending the day caching around Bundaberg, Bargara and Elliott Heads. We had a brief dinner stop in Childers before heading to Maryborough to have a look at the waypoints for this old & unloved cache.
At the posted coords we took a nice night time meander through the gardens looking for the relevant information. Q2 was easily answered, but Q1 was proving elusive until Google came to our aid. The maths was done and a GZ calculated; it was in vaguely the right direction, so we decided to go take a look just in case. When we pulled up at the spot Seff, Jez and I were immediately sure we’d messed up somehow and stayed in the car taking another run at the numbers. Fungus got out to take a look see just because he could, and in moments was yelling back to us that he found it! Wow! Thanks for placing and maintaining this old multi.

On the way through Maryborough we decided to once again try and find an unloved cache. This one seemed a little trickier now that WP1 has gone. We tried to follow some previous loga, however never turned up any information in the park for WP1. WP2 was a lot better, and yielded the east coords quickly. After discussions and a bit of dilly dallying we finally looked up some information that gave a set of South coords too. The team where lacklustre at best about my GZ, but I managed to drag them back to the car (after an incredible virtuoso performance on the glockenspiels), and drive out to the weir.
As we pulled up at my GZ the doubt level went up a notch. There was a lot of whinging about whining about how 'this is wrong' and 'that doesn't look right', all without one better option suggested. That meant the Fungus had to get out into the cobblers peg infested area at the side of the road, and within minutes produce the container! I yelled back to the car who, when roused from there recalculations, could not believe I had found it! A happy dance from me. All is well with the container and contents.
This IS solvable, and definite;y findable, though some of the description may occasionally make you think otherwise. Enjoy!

With a long weekend in play it was time for another road trip for The Bromance. With Crookedpete off doing his best Jack Sparrow impersonation on a sailing boat somewhere off of Hervey Bay, the full complement of JezNDez stepped up admirably to fill his shoes. A destination of Bundaberg was set and we headed off from Brisbane on Friday afternoon to begin our adventure.
Thanks to the abominable traffic heading out of Brisbane and a stop in Gympie for dinner at the RSL, it was around midnight before we located a sneaky spot to set up our tents off the road, not all that far out from Bundaberg. With a little over 4 hrs of sleep we quickly struck camp this morning and headed off before sun up to begin a new day of caching. With the morning spent collecting caches on our target list in Bundaberg it was time to head towards the coast, caching our way from Bagara to Elliott Heads before heading back south to Maryborough. This cache provided the opportunity for a night time stroll through the garden to stretch the legs and hunt down the information. The information for question 2 was soon found but despite numerous laps of the gardens we failed to find what we were after for Question 1. Swellerfungus and Jez put their heads together and came up with a possible answer after some online research and we soon had a possible destination to head to. Pulling up at GZ we were immediately disheartened by what we saw, not at all appearing to match and of the information we read in the logs.
Swellerfungus had been on a remarkable run of successful cache finding today, putting the rest of us to shame, so while I set about trying other possible coordinate permutations he was stright out of the car for a look around "just in case we are right". To our utter amazment another cry of success emanated from the scrub, while the rest of us could only look at each other dumfounded. Oh the ribbing we will cop on the rest of the drive home. TFTC

baby&Mrs gopher tried to find the answer to question 1 but the plaque is not at the start co-ords, even the caretaker didn't know how long the information had been missing. Found information to question 2 at the pointy piece of metal so decided to try with a couple of numbers and try for the final location. Well we got to the parking area near the weir we think but couldn't find any dead tree. Very disappointed we were unable to complete this cache because of lack of information and not enthusiasm. Could you please contact us and at least let us know where we went wrong. baby&Mrs.

Was going to do a market in Tiaro today, supposed to be a large affair, turned out to be a normal market, not worth the time setting up for a small takings.
Drove onto Maryborough to tidy up this one that has been on my to do list for a very long time.
The hardest part was finding the info. cache was easy enough.
All with the cache

Found it , great Cache. Hidden in plastic tube. It took us a while but glad we spent the morning scouting for it.
Here from outta town for a gig at the Brolga Theatre last night and out grabbing a few random GCs where I can. We failed to find the plaque for Q1 actually (after a real good look around too!) so resorted to using the inter webs to guess what the date might be. Q2 sorted ok ..so after coming up with good looking coords, we drove out to the weir area which BTW is a beautiful spot! Got to GZ but had some bird watching muggles there slow us down, and then I began to doubt the coords. We doubled back to the car park for a touristy look around and then went back to GZ with a proper look in mind where we discovered our muggles had moved on. The hunt began where skyetiger84 quickly made the find! TFTC! Dropped my "PN on tour" PT (one of only 50) please log it if you lift it cheers!

We did enjoy doing this informative multi and having a lovely walk in the beautiful gardens as well whilst there. We got the info for the co-ords last Thursday week and when we returned today we were able to prove that we had correct answers by finding the cache in its good hiding spot. It was interesting to see the Teddington Weir too. Great planning and implementation went into doing this multi cache.
TFTC mick & Kaz that took us to the beautiful gardens and the Teddington Weir - much appreciated.

Found it.
Fallen tree made cache a bit harder to get too. But went for a bit of a bush walk and found it quite easily.

I was in the Maryborough and Hervey Bay area today for work and grabbed a few caches too. Lots of different hides which made the day interesting. This was a quick find and after signing the log all was returned as found.
I started this one back in 2008 and now it's finally done [^]

Lovely Spring day and a great day to be out and about. Enjoyed walking around collecting the required info at WP1. With that done it was now off to find the cache. Had a nice pleasant drive to GZ. Found the cache OK. Great to see it is a good size one. tnln TFTC
Collected the information quickly at WP1 yesterday, and did the calculations back at the caravan.
Today, we enjoyed a drive to Teddington Weir, to gab this cache and a few others in the area.
After a short search, the cache was located. The area was lovely, and well worth the drive.
Many thanks for placing this cache, mick & Kaz, for us and others to find.
