Woo hoo!! King clan and I haven't found a cache in ages. Thanks for the find good times
TFTC. Found on our way to our friends property further up the road. A nice quick find. No TBs to swap. Im visiting from the Hunter Valley.
Ive visited a few travel bug motels so I thought Id give this one a go as well. Easy to find off the hwy. Tftc
I found this cache first while bunadoorian was waiting for his GPS to settle. What a great sized cache. We added a new logbook to save the CO from calling in shortly. There was enough space for a others to sign. TFTC and for bringing us here bedmaker.
Grub62 led the way and found the cache easily. The logbook was not full but we had plenty and there was room enough for a spare one so one was left. Thanks for a good sized cache and for creating this one and TFTC.
JACS and I had hatched a plan a while back to book leave for a road trip out west and to attend the last QOGM. Today was the first big day Dalby to St George with me collecting a swag of oldies JACS spread has! Still managed a few for her and an awesome day in the truck together!
Well my trip up to QOGM has officially started and I’m taking the very indirect route up to outback QLD to get there.
So after cruising up the Hume to Sydney then the M1 and A1 up to Byron Bay with a few other roads in between as I have been cris crossing a bit so it is time to start heading west.
I have never been up this way before so it will be interesting to see what towns I come across in my travels.
After spending the night in Texas I was heading to The Pink Pub at Dulacca for the night.
Continuing along the Warrego Hwy on parts that I haven’t travelled on before.
Took this detour as I had a couple of personal TB’s that have been with me for awhile so I was waiting for 1 - when I remembered to drop them off and 2 - A good spot to leave.
Safe travel guys.
Thanks bedmaker TFTC.

Many thanks… all is well, more later.
Later:
Thanks for the cache, I found it with Sea Reason. We were forced to overshoot the mark. and walk back, because we had traffic behind us and it was either:
* Go onto the shoulder at 100km/h, or
* Slow the traffic down so that we might exit onto the shoulder.
Anyway, we pulled up, walked back, and the lovely old ammo case was soon to hand. There was indeed a (one only) travel bug— ETEQV7 — but I left it so that there would remain one in the case.

Tftc Bedmaker, stopped because we had a trackable to drop off.
On our way to Longreach for QOGM event. Nice to see this older dated hide still in great condition.

Nice easy walk off the roadside. Sadly none of the trackables listed were there.
Had a few with us that visited but didn't stay.
Travelling from Bogabilla to Gladstone as part of our 'north for warmer weather' trip (North East Vic to Central Qld).
Thanks to all COs who have provided caches along the way.

Quick find while out for a day’s exploring and caching around Miles. Camped at the free camp at Caliguel Lagoon south of Condamine. TFTC
This geocache is not engulfed in fire, however it is very close to the area that is currently burning and subject to evacuation this evening.
Anyone coming through in the next week would be best advised to leave this find for another time.

After an overnight stop in Miles Mr CNQ had a long day driving back to Charters Towers, dodging road closures around Emerald. Found around 6am, in good condition but missing the listed trackables. Thanks for keeping this old cache going bedmaker.
Heading off for a weekend road trip to St George for a conference with a group of friends from Brisbane, I took the opportunity to explore the local areas and grab some caches along the way of course!
It was a wonderful experience and I was able to see so much. Thanks for all the caches along the way, and I promise I'll be coming back to get the ones I didn't chance upon this trip.
After a long, lonely solo trip down the Condamine-Meandarra Road with no phone reception, I finally arrived in Condamine and made a beeline for the nearest bathroom opportunity! Stunning views of the Condamine river. A quick drive up to Miles to catch up with Oz_Bean_Counter and CaptainTerror to continue the caching on the journey home.
Having located a nearby cache, CaptainTerror wanted to find this one and it wasn't that far out of town, considering we were still 3-4 hours at least from home. Travelling not far behind them up the road, they were super quick - had the cache located and were in the midst of opening the large container when I arrived on scene. What a great old cache this is. Log book signed and we were off on our next caching adventure.
Thanks so much for maintaining this cache.

A weekend in St George for a conference and to deliver some training. A plan from months ago, finally came together resulting in 45 people from Brisbane and all across the southern Queensland and Northern NSW towns visiting, learning and socialising. What a magical event! A trip to the country is always welcome, and those of us from Brisbane were most welcomed.
Now it was time for the long drive home. Oz_bean_counter and I opted for a reasonably direct route, but via Miles for some geocaches. This was one of those - and it was my priority for the entire trip. Ever since I was last out this way in 2015, I was slightly hurt that this older geocache was missed by me. I knew I'd be back, but when!
We'd caught up with CaptainKirky in Miles and now made the detour north. Well really, I insisted given it was the one I really wanted. 5km each way isn't so bad when we're still 300 kilometres from home!
Just there, in an entirely arbitrary location, is the geocache. We parked up off the road and headed in the something-teen metres. It was not difficult to find and there was a squeal of enjoyment upon realising it's a classic, old, big ammo box. I can relate. A huntsman chased OBC around as she tried to open the container, but he left pretty soon.
Sadly inside, no trackables. And sadly, all the trackables I have at the moment are on my desk at home (oops). But the logbook was signed at 17:30 and it would be my last find for the day. Just another stop or two before dinner in Dalby, and a late arrival home for a much-needed shower. Thank you bedmakerTG, for keeping this big old geocache going for so long

On a road trip with friends to attend a Toastmasters conference for the weekend. It's a long drive from Brisbane to St George, but oh so worth it! The stop overs in Dalby, Chinchilla, Miles, Meandarra and Condamine were just so stunning. And of course, I love country hospitality (and chicken parmiganas the size of my face, haha!). Of course, we picked up some caches along the way, with a focus on the oldies. This was one of those caches. Thanks so much for adding to my joy this weekend.

Everyone was up and out the door before 6am… and I’m pretty sure nothing was left behind…
I’m driving… and we’ve finally found traffic… so a bit of a detour to collect this oldie on the way home…

Heading home from QOGM 22. We got caught in a long line of traffic which turned into a great excuse to make a quick detour for the travel bug motel! A quick find. Tftf signed the log as Munna Culla Snack Ninjas
Day 2 of my outback travels and the start of my Queensland Outback Geocaching Muster trip for 2022. While Triple Turmoil and I headed out to meet up with the others, it gave us time to grab a few caches along the way. We were aiming to be at the campsite at a reasonable hour so as we could set up in the daylight and see what is around at camp. This was all in readiness for our continuation from last year’s event and a very successful team collaboration with Willis007 and Jacs Team.
Today was a drive from Miles to Charleville, grabbing caches and adventure labs along the way. It was a fun day and we found all caches fairly easily. We signed the logs and replaced caches as found. Thanks for the hides and maintaining them

After spending the night in Miles, we are on our way to Toowoomba today.
A short detour after breakfast up to visit this old cache, and we have added our name to the log.
There was just one trackable inside this TB hotel, and so we have taken it with us and will move it on.
Thanks Bedmaker

We are traveling by car through Australia to visit family. We hail from Missouri, USA. We dropped off a special trackable that was a part of an event in the US from Texas Instruments. It was highly competitive and hard to get them! We picked up a few trackables to take back to the US. Tftc!!
**This Cache:**
Add the words "TB" or "Travel Bug" to a cache name, and it will draw in finders like me
Can't go past one of these, it's always a good sized find and usually in an accessible spot, so a nice pick up!
This one was no different, it was a bit of an oldie too! Gotta love that.
Awesome container also!

**Today:**
Day 19 of my road trip, now heading back to Canberra from the Townsville Mega Event!
Today was my longest drive of the entire trip, I had gotten to a point where I was started to feel the trip drag on a little and decided I wanted to get home a day earlier than expected, which meant a night less of camping in NSW which wouldn't of been necessary as I can always return to this area in the future without much hassle.
So only grabbed 6 cache finds along the way, mainly for new counties and to break up the solo driving to stretch my legs and have a break!
I drove from Theodore QLD - Mendooran NSW, which is about 9.5 hours...! But I also detoured to North Star, NSW which added even more time!
I was glad to be getting some sleep at the end of it, that's for sure!
Thanks to the CO's

Day 4 of our trek to the Townsville Mega and back with fitzy_1965 and two of my geo-kids Death_killer & my_name_jeff_1.
Long haul for us today as we head further north. Travelled from Goondiwindi, through Roma and onto Emerald: arriving well after dark. We splurged again on a cabin for our two night stay. The air conditioning is something we could get used to very easily LOL. Only collected a handful or two of caches today but ticked off a few more counties along the way.
All caches were found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned.

27,414. Found with minniek during our Grand Townsville Trek up to CacheQLD's Townsville Mega Event over Easter.
Day 4 of our Townsville Trek, and our third full day on the road. This was a big day's travel but we did manage 15 caches across 4 new LGAs. After spending the night at Goondiwindi in the tents, we headed north up to Miles, west across to Roma, then the long haul north up to Emerald. We decided on a cabin in Emerald as we were to be there for 2 days. This was the next find of the day, and another leg strength. Quick find at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache, then continued along to the next cache on our list.
Thanks bedmaker !! Another oldie picked up.

An amazing long weekend of traveling around with Crew153 in the mighty Suzee geomobile. After visiting Blackdown NP we headed into Emerald for the night and today we head to Chinchilla. Found today. My final day road tripping after Cunnamulla QOGM 2021. The cache was in good condition, it's always good to have an ammo can to find. Have dropped off 2 TBs for someone else to collect and send on their way.
The Hermit Elephant (Elephantus Solitarius) is a species native to Howondaland. The Hermit Elephant has thin skin making another form of protection necessary; it enters a village and lifts a building onto its back to use as a shell. As the elephant grows larger it will require bigger and bigger houses. A few were brought to Ankh Morpork by Dibbler a few years ago now. It’s interesting to watch them grazing along the outskirts of the city. Although there have been complaints about people coming home and not finding their house wheee they left it.
Had a one day stopover on my way to bell for the event there on the weekend. I spent the day looking for lsome local geocaches. This was an easy find early in the day.. TFTC.
Today was day 8 of 9 long days of travelling and caching for us. Long, but fun. This was the Roma to Chinchilla leg of our trip.
Day 8 of 8 (Taroom to Toowoomba) of a Queenslander road trip with Kestal, clocking just over 4000km, to tick off boxes for different challenges. We got caught behind a wide load about 60kms from this cache. About 30kms away we were waved on to pass by the rear pilot vehicle. As we pulled up here we raced to make the find as quick as possible in order not to end up behind it again...all was returned as found! As we jumped back in the car we could just see the lead pilot vehicle coming in to view! TFTC bedmaker.
Day 8 and our last day on the road. Today we travelled from Taroom back to Toowoomba completing just over 4200kms in the past 8 days and collecting 90 different finds. Just a small handful of caches was found today.
This was number one of four and after being waved around a very wide load a few kms back we were hoping to get far enough in front that we would be able to make this find safely and be back in the car and on the road before it had caught up to us. Thankfully this one was a very straightforward find and we were onto the next before the truck came into sight. TFTC bedmaker

Grey nomads, after spending way too much time in Far North Queensland, now on our way to Warwick. It is going to be cold tonight, and cold in Warwick! What to do???
Find a cache, easier said than done, none on the highway (A4) between Theodore and Miles - until this travel bug motel.
Easy find on our journey south. Left pterodactyl travel bug and took the only travel bug in this cache. One in one out, no others according to the inventory.

Staying in Miles, this cache was close to town, so we decided to pay it a visit. I picked up a couple of TBs here and found a pathtag as well.

We came to Miles as a stopping point on our way to Blackall, but as there are so many caches we've decided to stay for a few more days. Today we diverted to pick up the caches between Condamine & Miles. We found 7 caches & DNF'd 0.
Thanks for placing the cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache almost exactly where our GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container & log are in good condition.
**Grabbed Trackable:** "Magic: The Gathering, Ixalan Treasure Piece" & "Sheilinkas Reise um die Welt".
**Dropped Trackable:** "Mooooving cow" & "Escaped Ornament 2".
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny

Travelling through the area, a very quick find by Wazza9, stamped log and replaced. Exchanged trackables. Thanks to bedmakerTG

Day 1 of of a Queensland road trip with EatSleepCacheRepeat and JACS Team - Brisbane to Roma. We spent the day slowly driving (is there any other way for geocachers?) to Roma and picking up the odd geocache here and there. No real targets beyond a couple of older caches.
Didn't grab any trackables as I am bad at moving them along... TFTC!

Quick little detour to grab this one. Found safe and well, tucked away. Took nothing, left nothing today ️ TFTC
My youngest and I are travelling around on a holiday roadtrip; today's journey was from Rockhampton to Miles. We had to stop to visit the motel on our way into Miles; dropping off a few new tenants and collecting a couple of others to continue their journey. Name in the log and we returned everything as found before heading into Miles to find our motel. Tftc bedmaker
Staying at Possum Park took the short drive easy find, collected 3 x TB and dropped off 1 x TB. TFTC
Managed to find it on our motor bikes, we signed the wrote our names on the paper and left a zip tie because that's all we had
Second find today! Took a travel bug to place in the next. 3C4FRY. This was one of my favourites. TFTC!
On my way to work, especially changed my route to find this cache to drop off 2 travellers, and another one wanted to come along. TFTC
Heading West to escape some of the COVID craziness going on in Brisbane at the moment. An early start was made to fit in a long day of driving to Emerald via Roma, with plenty of caching along the way.
Nice big container, looks like a safe spot so I dropped a stack of TBs and coins, and grabbed the 2 in there to move on.

Found at 07:32, thanks for bringing us here **bedmaker**. This log is trackable, mention where you saw it.

Sadly, all the travel bugs have departed to find a cooler place to stay I think. Anyway, added to the log, and departed. TFTC, bedmaker.
On the way home to Brisbane from a trip to mt Isa miles was our last stop before heading home. What a nice big cache but unfortunately no travel bugs today. Thankyou for placing this cache here for us to enjoy
