As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
After looking for more than an hour we were about to give up!!!! The Flying Nun Cafe owner came out to talk to us to let us know that the cache had been broken!! He would love it if the cache is able to be repaired please. Many thanks
Being Australia Day many people had ventured out to spend the day at Samford. The Museum was very busy and there was a car show on. Much to our surprise the cafe was closed. We pulled up a chair and made ourselves comfortable, geotoddler was entertained by the old steamroller and the old tractors going up the street. This gave us some time to stop and think about the cache and what it could be?? Bingo, our guess was right . The cache was soon at hand and we were on our way. TFTC findalot
We are back again! had a look around but it was 11.00 am on a Sunday! But we had a look around but couldn't see anything! we were about to ask the cafe owners but the line was way too long so they were really busy and we didn't think the waiters would know about it so we gave up!
I shouldn't say that we didn't find it because we didn't really have a look! we parked the car to show Mr. Lyon the beautiful cafe and thought we might have a snoop around. But unfortunately we were standing outside the cafe and the gps said 100km away! so we quickly drove home for dinner and went onto the computer to see if the co-ords were wrong but they were right!? maybe it was just hard for the gps under the tree cover.... we will be back tomorrow morning for a cup of coffe and the cache in hand... hopefully!
This cache has put the fear of God into me ever since I saw where it was. As I was in the area, I thought I would check it out. I checked the logs. Curious. It was found a few times a month until late October. I think I know why I went to where I perceived GZ to be and started my search and came up with nothing. I widened my search and still nothing. Checked recent logs and no help there - even with a recent spoiler. I actually came back twice and picked around - but nothing.
Perhaps the cache is still there and I am blinder than the proverbial bat. But it wasn't showing itself for me today. A shame - I really wanted to cross this one off. TFTH findalot

Perhaps Saturday is not agood time to attempt this one, there were Muggles everywhere.
Nice Hide.

Finally we got this one after some help from the owners and staff of the cafe as it was buried quite deep today. TFTC
Excellent hide. Felt a little silly bumbling around outside the cafe. Thanks for the cache!
Gunnie & I started our search in completly the wrong place....probably subconsciously hoping it wasn't where we ended up discovering the cache! Once we started looking in the right place a couple of things "clicked" in my brain and I whipped that Little Squirt right out from under the noses of the muggles!!!! We signed the log and I admired something random as I subtley returned the cache!
I will note this place as a "must return for breakfast"....a beautiful spot early in the day....busy later I'm sure!
Thanks for the cache findalot. Cheers, svn07

There was a difference in opinion with Svn07 and I GPSs for this one and after relenting and crossing to the dark side (or was that the bright side... ???) we finally got a reasonable GZ to work with. Cylists a plenty and muggles within 2m or the little squirt, Svn07 managed the extraction and subsequent replacement, with ease... Hey, what's a caching buddy for after all...
Now, why didn't I suspect what this container looked like when I have one the same...
Cheers Findalot.

We stopped for lunch. While waiting we wandered around contemplating where the cahce might be.
We had no notes so were convinced it had to be near the Macaw cage. The Macaw was stunning - he even came close for a bit of a scratch - yes trust me I won't bite.
After lunch was cleared away another wander around and a bit more thought and the cache was spotted. A quick genuflection - how appropriate at the flying nun - had the cache. So we returned to our table to sign the log before returning the log.

Went in to get a coffee but they were closed. Went outside, nabbed the cache and moved on.
Found with bedmaker today. Thankfully the cafe was all closed up and we were able to search uninterrupted. Found the little squirt . TFTC findalot
Great coffee, great cache. The guys inside will help out if you need it. TFTC
26/03/2010 10:02 Found: Well, I was beaten to this one by George Montague. We'd sat down, waiting for our coffees to arrive. George was the first to check the site... Very crafty! I signed the log second, and then had to wait for a break in the muggles to put it back.
Thanks for the challenge, findalot

After arriving for a coffee met up with Groewrs, and pipped him on this one.
What a lovely display of bizarre iron decorations on the fence posts!
Mrs George has been here a number of times for coffee with friends, but my first visit here.
TFTC, findalot, and I'm glad we weren't here on a weekend - it was horrendous enough with muggles today.

Sadly just too many people around for me and sniffme to look too closely for this one. Will try again another non-weekend day.
Krewlworld, Big Dave(our non cach driver) and i could find it aas there was to many muggles around.......but we found a Macaul
at 15:10. We originally approached this one at midday. It was completely impossible with lots of people all around, some sitting within a metre. As we came back at 3:00 pm the owners were just closing up and about to drive off.
The ingenious cache is in good order. TFTC Findalot.

Cafe was not open today, but we did stop to have a chat with a charming little bird, just before we found this little cache. What a great little container.
Accompanied with Alchemy2 for the day of caching around. It was good one! Thanks for the cache
Did a bit of searching... thanks goodness its quiet day today.
need a bit of stealth.
Great place to visit again.

Saturday lunchtime is not a goodtime to visit this cache, had a quick look but were twarted by several pairs of muggle eyes in the local cafe (looks like a nice cafe though).
Too muggle intensive for me.
Got myself a take-away coffee while at the site, and tried to look casual as I walked around trying to get an idea as to the location... this might be a mid-week cache as Saturday was far too busy to stay discrete.

Found this morning, sipping cool drinks at the cafe, with my caching friends, this being such a public cache, we waited until nightfall to retreive and sign the log. A clever cache. Thanks
Nice disguise, actually walked past the cache looking for some food LOL (didn't have GPSr on) TNLNSL TFTC
Interesting location. Unfortunately, the cafe was closed (in fact it looked as if it has been closed down). Thanks!
Stopped for lunch and a play at the nearby playground so of couse we had to try for this cache as well. Luckily there were no muggles around at all which made things easier. Cache spotted quickly although I probably would have overlooked it as a newbie. I love hides like this. All dry and well. TFTC
The place was closed today but the lawn was being mown!!!! Very tricky, although I have a funny feeling the guy mowing the lawn knew EXACTLY what I was doing!
Checked today and the cache is dry and secure, even after the storms last night.......... the cache is awaiting the next finders
with aquilla, didn't find it, hope it's still there. will try again another day.
it's there
my 2nd attempt at this one ...
last time didn't have the courage to go for it

Attempted find today. No problem with Muggles as the place was all closed up. I thought I knew what I was looking for before I arrived but nothing of that nature there. Can anyone confirm whether the cache is still in place?
It took a while to find this one as we were a bit distracted by the fantastic building! Good spot for the cache.
Accompanied with Ozcymru and Celtieless. Excellent camo. SL. Thanks findalot for organising the cache and hunt.
I discovered that I had a gap in my PQ's right over Samford, so I had to rely on Pa freak to guide me. Walked up to the gate had a quick think and pa freak had the cache in no time.
Thanks findalot
Thanks findalot
Had a good idea what we were looking for and it was soon to hand. Nice and quiet today. TFTC.
Love it, its just like ADV say, found with ADV, sun getting low now, thanks for the fun.

A building that has seen a few conversions over the years?
Quite fascinated by what has been done and so busy studying it TheWonderstuff found the cache, signed the log and had almost replaced it without me noticing.
Thanks for bringing us here.

I knew what I was looking for and discovered it quickly. Another great cache, thanks Findalot!
Found at 0820 with Marg. Clever hide I was looking all around it. But trigged to it soon enough and we were logged and on our way.
11th Cache on our Tour through the Brisbane State Forest. Quick Find but hard to get the logbook out of the container. Good hidden.

What a lovely day for caching and exploring yet again some parts of Brisbane never seen before. Thanx for leading us here.

muggle alert... lol a neighbour who must have seen quite a few people looking around saw us wander past this cache and started yelling up the street that we had to go through the gate. We KNEW it wasn't because the clue is pretty specific but he was adamant we should go in the fence. So we walked in to satisfy him and after he wandered off we then had a good look and were very impressed with the cache when we did find it. Mr Ozjoe was very clever to find this.. I never would have. TFTC
Visiting from Melbourne and staying at Voyager on the Gold Coast. Having seen this type of cache before we had an advantage but it still took a few minutes to pinpoint. We must say that this is the neatest and most well presented cache of this sort that we have seen. We were the second visitor today. All was quiet at the interesting building, we would love to know a little more about it.
I can't believe how many times it took me to get this. I knew what to look for I knew where to look for it, but for some reason I couldn't find it. Today I found in in about 10secs, and had signed the log and driven of in less than a minute. Thanks findalot, it is a very nice hide.
I took a friend out today and was introducing him to caching. He was certainly amazed when we found this one at 1720hrs.

Great Hide. The 'Coffee Shoppe' was pretty quiet today which meant a quicker find. Cache is in good condition. I didn't see any frogs though I could hear one in there somewhere. SL. TNLN. Thanks findalot.
We were ready for this one to be a toughie, but were pleasantly surprised. No onlookers and gefscofix had the cache in hand in less than a minute. TFTC
I lost my PDA out caching today If you're lucky enough to find it while searching for the cache, I'd love to have it back!
Found with posthaste on a caching day around the area!
A bit of chatter coming from the coffe shop but no-one in evidence nearby!

Gave up searching for it the first go, even though i knew what it would look like....only to come back later as it was the only one left for us to do in the area and we couldn't leave this one on the list.....
Thanks for the hide.

What a great cache! Coffee shop was not in operation today so an easy find without having to resort to too much stealth! TNLN
LOL when I found this one. Have just finished making one exactly the same. Very nice cache. TFTH
#4 of 13 finds whilst 'on the way to the airport' on my last day in Brisbane this year. I found this one at 1110. The new coffee shop was not in operation, so I had an easy time sniffing around. I reckoned I knew what I would be looking for, and it turned out that I was right, but it still took a while to see it. I particularly liked the mosaic tiles on the coffee shop. I made no exchange. Thanks to findalot for the cache. Cheers, dak.
Two muggles renovating the house next door. Looked at us strangly so we left. Is the cache still around?
Hey had a huge idea from the storkers.Nice suprise but a little damp!

This is truly a nice spot for those who just passing through the sunny town of Samford why visit the museum while you are there..
Foiled by muggle resident walking his dog and loitering at GZ, while we were loitering waiting for him to move on. He won
TFTC TNLNSL - But that was the point of the exercise: For Rastas0000 to show me the ropes, and lochb tagged along for a fantastic day's caching for my first time out.
This was an excellent hide, well done! I really enjoyed this one!
