Thanks for taking us to this interesting spot team Zed. I have always enjoyed how your caches have taken me to some interesting spots in remote places. Caches in these locations are starting to become rare due proximity to locals to maintain them. Bit of a scrub bash to get into the cache. Thought this one might be buried in leaves and bark but it was sitting there waiting for me. Container and log still in great condition
Jinta29 and I decided to head out for a couple of days and cross off some more LGAs.
When I am out caching, i always check the area for archived caches.
This one popped up so I decided to check it out.
Interesting info on the sign. Some rabbits look like they're getting through (see pic)
I can't wait to catch up with everyone again at
[WA GOES BIG 2017](https://coord.info/GC6TD11) in Rockingham, WA.
Perths big event is on again.
**See you there**.
ZED! - Kyzabra found your cache Gate 54 . The cache is in good shape and we replaced it as found. Thanks for placing and maintaining your cache.!

With the holiday season upon us and a leave pass from Mrs jinta I decided to call up ol' mate Kyzabra and see if he was keen for a two day caching road trip... he came back with a pretty quick 'yep, let's go' . Woohoo!
We made a plan to start caching in Brookton and head out towards Hyden and Lake King and then loop back to Perth through Narrogin [^]. The main focus was grabbing caches in all the counties on the way through (9 or 10 different ones hopefully).
There were several archived caches that we added to the hit list as well as a few multis and an earthcache for good measure.
A massive thanks here to ZED! for placing this cache here and for tempting us to venture out to this glorious part of the state. Cheers!
jinta29 found your cache Gate 54 on 29/12/2016, 3:42 PM. This is my find #6141 and find #14 today. I was able to get my name in the log book here and we replaced the cache as we found it. Thanks once again for placing this and bringing us to this location!

TFTC! Found during a 6-Day trip from Perth to Kalgoorlie, Esperance and back to Perth via many back roads and country towns. We found a huge number of caches, clocking up nearly 3000km for the entire trip.
The highlights of the trip have been picking up a bunch of old caches in Kalgoorlie and the surrounding towns, placed by some of Western Australia's first geocachers.
We ventured as far north as Leonora in search of our prizes even visiting a large number of ghost towns along the golden outback trail, some of the most amazing places I've seen in my life, see the pics if you want to know more.
During our trips out from Kal we think we visited nearly every gravesite or headstone in the region with the number of caches in and around cemeteries!
We completed a large amount of cache maintenance around the Kal area, with a large number of the older caches suffering with cracked lids, smashed containers, wet logs and alike. We planned to help about a dozen caches with new containers and ran out after the first couple of days. So if you're in the area please help out as best you can.
We also picked up a number of caches in Esperance placed by some of the newest cachers in the state, who seem to have so much passion and energy.
We ventured out to Cape Le Grande and picked up a few of the caches there, not quite being game enough to grab the views of hellfire cache but we grabbed all of the others we paid for our walking that night!
We even had time to place a couple of caches in my Country Cache series so please look out for them on your travels. Thanks to the locals who have kindly agreed to maintain them.
Thanks to all of the Cache owners for placing the caches that we found, hopefully you can place a few more for our next trip
Thanks
Great to pickup 14months if no love out here. Great historical spot. Grad it's being recognised by the shire of narembeen

Went on a trip from Perth to Kalgoorlie down to Esperance and then back to Perth. Spent 6 days finding, hiding and even maintaining caches along the way.
The majority of caches were found easily and in good condition even some archived ones.
Took a few travel bugs and placed along the way.

This Geocache will be permanently archived in July.
Thank You to all who have enjoyed my tour of the Wheatbelt.

What a bit of Australiana history here, although it was very soggy underfoot with it being wet and the red dirt stuck like glue, but a great place to see.
NOTE: Had to change the container as it was broken, and a new plastic bag as it was torn, the book was very wet.
It actually looked like someone had just tossed it into the bush as the container was on its side and the contents were laying in the leaf litter. All good again and re placed in its proper location.

Can't believe almost a year since this one was last visited. Third (and final) day of my loop through the Eastern wheatbelt. Can't do any more for a while 'cos the cricket starts on Saturday and that's me stuck in front of the telly for the next month. Found this one today at 13:25. I liberated the poor monkey TB and will send him on his travels LNSL TFTC
Tftc camping around this inner region if wa this week as haven't been here before. Stayed at wave rock lady night and come out this way today. A great camping trip being led to places by geocaches really left tb. Cache dry although container clips won't all stay done up.
Ahhhhhhhh holidays!!!!!!! Our 33rd find in a new adventure east
Reached this spot a sunset, so made camp here for the night. Forgot to get a pic of the nearby benchmark!

Second cache of the day, touring with brothers after the watching offroad racing at Hyden. Open country - very dry at this time. Would you believe we saw a rabbit crossing the road as we drove off. Liked the penalty sign near the gate ( someone has a wry sense of humour )
TFTF, TN L small keyring.

Rescued the lizard TB but didn't see the other one maybe we didn't look properly. Thanks for the cache.
Travelled to this one after visiting the Vultee Vengeance crash site. Pleasant spot and for much of the day we felt like we were the only people on the planet as it so remote. We would have liked to have stopped and eaten here but the flies and heat bit much.
Left two travel bugs in the cache but have lost their tracking numbers. I hope to have them soon so I can track them into the cache.

Its been almost a year since anyone visited this cache. We find that odd as this region is one of the best parts of the state.
Its only about 3 hours from Perth and there are no Tourists.
The pub food in the small towns is fantastic and the accomdation is cheap.
We just dont understand why its not a lot more popular. Sure summer can be hot and the flies can bug you but winter and widflower season are perfect times of the year.
The cache was packed to the gills with stuff and the picnic bench nearby looked like it needed us to sit and rest. We even considered camping nearby.
Took Keyring and Added the coin purse (yep we just move things around plus add some things as we go)

We resisted the temptation to try driving up along the rabbit proof fence for 25 km from the back road to Hyden and took Soldier's Rd instead. Went back via Calzani Rd.
Interesting bit of history - too bad it didn't work too well. Not having 100 pounds on our persons we made sure we closed the gate to avoid a fine.
There are some scratchy bushes in that shrubbery - make sure you go round the back from the sign and stick to the little path carefully.
T: handy combo whistle, compass etc etc
L: lip balm
Thanks for a good cache

Running out of time to beat the hubby home so I made this my last one for the day. Easy find. The gate was hard to open maybe I'm not strong enough!!
