As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, or it's been a number of months since the last owner note. I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it. Should you replace the cache after 30 days has passed please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.

Went looking for this one tonight as part of a Geocaching Night with Venturers and couldn't find the cache. GPS was right and we found the clue easily enough but couldn't find the cache. One of our leaders has found the cache previously and knew its location but it wasn't there. Afraid someone might have nicked it Sad

05-Nov-12
PKK... and I visited this one today. We have to admit, we could not see any aussie icon and it's tucker unless you count the victa ride-on lawnmower. We noted that a number of better cacher's than us had to PAF so we decided there are too many caches and not enough time so we'll look at this one another day.

found @ 1:00 with mum and dad (ross47)

Had tried to find it a couple of days earlier, but found that Dads co-ordinates were out, so had no luck.
Tonight we were able to walk straight up to the hide.
A great reserve.

A quick find @ 1:00 in the company of the geowife and emeraldflame. We had worked out the coordinates and tried to find it a couple of days ago. After rechecking my figures after getting back home I realised I had made a rather basic error in the calculations, which meant we had been looking just a little too far away to find it. Tonight was different as we walked straight up to it!

Thanks to edmil for the cache. TNLN

Now that was a difficult cache but a nice one. The clue was very obscure for me as someone who knows Latin for plants and animals. I never found the clue on the board and that was sent through from edmill. Thankfully.

From the cache info I had gone for macropus but that us wrong but on the right track and needs to be related to other things to get the info.

A nice reserve in which everybody greets you.

Well I found this more difficult that it needed to be! or maybe my brain is a little overloaded at the moment and after I PAF I was on the right track to get the cache until I realised my Maths was a little off too! Almost gave up when the penny dropped that I had a calculation wrong although I should have found it anyway! Eventually found my way to the cache, SL Took TB TFTC

26-Aug-12
Checked out the cache and all is in place. There is some graffiti on the board but the clue is not obscured.

25-Aug-12
No animals with Latin names left on the board so you can't even start to look. A lot of clearing works has gone on in the reserve so it may not even be a stump their anymore.

25-Aug-12
I did look around all the stumps I could see from the paths and nothing was turned up.

Thanks again for helping us thick newbies

Checked notice board due to last searcher indicating may have changed. Notice board is unchanged details still clearly available.

Too hard for us
I think that the information board may have been changed since this cache was hidden and letter codes end up with too many numbers
Not recommened for non mathematical genius or qualified code breaker

Visit Friday night got the pictures that worked out where gz was. Returned Sunday afternoon with three kids in tow. The kids love the "secrets" that we find and mum loves the time to herself. Great little park that we all enjoyed tftc

Found 1435hrs. Took a few minutes to sort out final coordinates, once that was done a lovely walk and easy find. Took wombat, left jaguar. TFTC

Found this one today. I had previously been here with Irontoad but we couldn't work out the clues at the information board. We thought that maybe they had replaced the information board with different information.

I went back today determined to try and complete some caches that I had previously gotten stuck on. I looked at the information board carefully (with the use of the hint) and got the answer! From there I worked out where the cache was and went to find it. Awesome park to visit. Thanks for bringing me here. Took whale and left a girl on a scooter toy. Thanks for the cache edmail.

21-Nov-11
This cache has been a thorn in my side for soooo long. The pictures I took of the noticeboard are the oldest photo's in my iPhone. I must have collected them at the very start of my caching career and I have looked at them a number of times. To cut a long story short, I had no idea about the animal, although I had a good guess at it I was unable to make the numbers work. I eventually resorted to a phoning a friend for some help which was happily supplied. So today at lunch I drove to the car park and wandered through this wonderful area to GZ to sign the log. Thanks edmil it had me beat.

I tried this one out about 6months or a year ago and failed to find the required info, a quick scout of the park also failed to turn up the cache, I checked alot of the area back then and therefor there wasn't much left to search. A quick PAF (thanks C@H) reduced the search area substantially.. Thanks Edmil for the hide and another Multi to reduce my Trad % stats.. TNLN

Gave up in frustration trying to identify the aussie icon and its favourite tucker, so decided as we were here we would walk round this lovely reserve. Guess what!!! We found the cache anyway hidden in an appropriate caching location.

31-Aug-11
Nice walk in a nice park and an easy find.
I had collected the information required on an earlier visit and this time it was to be a quick find and out. I had to wait for some dog walkers to move on but once clear it was found.
Thanks for the effort in placing this cache. Signed log.

I'm here visiting from the U.S. and am not able to understand your clues. Please give coordinates of find so I can leave the travel bug I have brought with me from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. Thanks If you would like, you can send coordinates through my email: [email protected]

Found it after reading recent logs. Saw some other cachers trying to figure out the clue as we were leaving!

02-Apr-11
Thanks for this cache and bringing me to this reserve close to home that I never knew existed. It was quite a challenge, but a couple of visits to the information board and emails to edmil, plus some elimination logic finally solved the puzzle. Then when I went to find the cache and saw the information board again the answer was very obvious.

TFTC. A minor swap made. Cache in good condition. SL

*sigh* My girlfriend and I did not have a good GC day today. Found the clue, but for the life of me was unable to de-code it to give me the coordinates. The number of letters = 7 for the first word but 8 on the second......Maybe I'm just a mere male. We'll head back again once I work out the coordinates.

Thanks for showing us this park, never knew it existed.

Cheers

Once the icon and food has been logically worked out, it was down to some number crunching at which point a good set of coords was calculated. A nice walk through the park and was soon at GZ and getting the cache from its hiding spot. Nice little multi. Thanks edmil.

19.05pm. i had been caching with the madwizzard for 3 days finding lots of caches and this one was our last one together,it was a local one to wayne that he had already found so once again he let me do all the biz to come up with an answer,so off we went th gz for a quick find of this good prize thank you,in the cache i found a melbourne demons key ring,so i took it and have made it into a travel bug,so it might find its was back oneday. thank you for this good cache and greetings from england.sl.patandjeff=bones1.

I finally got around to attempting this cache after visiting the area a number of times in the past. I got the clues, punched in some numbers, then strolled off to look for the cache. There were a couple of older teens drinking near by so I had to keep walking until they left. Once the area was clear I resorted to the clue and found the well hidden cache.

Many thanks for showing me this great reserve, I really enjoyed walking around and reading the info boards.

Found by Greg 1330H 22/09/19. Free at last!! I can finally close this one off!! I have tried to find this cache on and off for the last two years without being able to fathom the clue. I finally read back through the logs of the successful cachers and found the clue I needed. Thankyou sooo much. The puzzle is really quite straight forward which does not say much for my deductive reasoning. TNLN TFTC

FINALLY!! Turns out an unexperienced helper had actually looked in this spot last time we were here but didnt look close enough. Thanks for help from edmil. We took cache to our house nearby for 5 minutes so we could have a look properlly out of the cold and rain with the geokiddies. Quickly replaced cache with loads of dog walking muggles around. I forgot to bring TB so may pop in in future to drop it off.

15-Aug-10
Have tried again with a hint from cache owner and still no success. I even had a TB I was going to drop to encourage more cachers to this one

21-Jul-10
searched the info board for an aussie icon or tucker and came up with nothing

The Micro Compass Rose Geocoin has been here since about August last year, so I came back today @ 17:30hrs and grabbed it from the cache to help it move on.
The cache is still in very good condition and waiting for somebody to come and find it.
Just watch out for the Muggles when you fill out the log as this seems to be a fairly popular park that gets a lot of use.
Cheers

Yay!! I found it @ 1430... Well at least my girlfriend did and we were together at the time Big Grin
It was starting to rain so I had to write in the log book very quickly and get out of there. There was only one Muggle walking his woofer so no problem in that respect although I would think there would be plenty on the weekends and public holidays.
Thanks so much for a great cache... It was a bit tricky at the start but once I found it I felt silly because it was so easy.
In fact I was about to give up on it.

TFTC; Took the LED torch & left a rubber wrist band.

26-Apr-10
I'm afraid I am no good at these cryptic clues. I had to give up on this one after looking for about an hour and a half and no luck working out the cryptic part of it. I think you might need to put a few more stars on this one Sad

Cache has been re-enabled. The sign has been replaced and new clues have been taken from the sign.
Cache container has been replaced and contents checked
All ready to go again - enjoy

08-Oct-09
The cache is temporarily disabled as the sign on which the co-ordinates were calculated has been changed. I am in the process of rewriting the clue (along the same lines as the old one). The cache also requires some maintenance so the container will replaced at the same time.

07-Oct-09
Had to rely on some help from a friend here as we couldn't find the required info at wpt 1. Turns out it wasn't there but we did find the cache so thats what counts.
Thanks

07-Oct-09
Now this was a bit more of a puzzle than I think it was meant to be. We found the notice board without any trouble, it went downhill from there. We couldn't find the information we needed.
We eventually (later that night) got some assistance from a local, but I suspect the information board might have been changed.
I will send an email to the owner.
Thanks for the really nice walk in an interesting park, Robmc.

We loved working out the puzzle!! Made even more "puzzling" by us leaving out a letter (whoops) and so had too many digits for the coordinates!!! Once we realised that it was Full Steam Ahead.

We noticed that one of the clip-down bits on the lid of the cache container is broken. It is still in pretty good shape but will probably get pretty wet soon.
It might be a good idea to replace the container or put a rubber band around it (we didn't bring one, unfortunately).

Found this one at 16:40 as our last one for the day. A nice easy one in a very pleasant little piece of bushland. Unfortunately, the graffiti "artists" have attacked the information board [:(!] but at least the vital bit of info was still visible.

TNLNSL, although our 100 finds geocoin had a visit to mark our 300th multi-cache find. Thanks edmil.

Final cache of 16 for the day. Managed to pick the wrong sweet flower at the first attempt, the mistake was quickly identified and fixed. After a couple of false starts on deciphering the code we eventually worked out which keyword to use, and came up with a feasible GZ. Once there, the tree coverage didn't help with pinpointing the cache but a ranged search of obvious locations delivered the goods.

Also took the Unite for Diabetes TB.

Found @ 2.40pm on a beautiful afternoon!
Find # 245. Fozz=0. T:Crayons.L:Fozzy card. SL
We arrived at the initial location and tried to read the board. The grafitti was horrendous!
Chati then dropped the GPS which turned off and wouldn't turn back on!!!
I couldn't work out the info, and even if I did I had no GPS to put the info into, so almost decided to go back to our friends, when he suggested we go for a walk around the parkland area. We read the logs and armed with only vague hints, we went for a walk.
I happened to notice a familiar looking arrangement, and BINGO! I came up with the cache. A FLUKE BY ANY MEANS!! No waypoint info and no GPS.
Nice area, and even sweeter victory over the hidden cache!!
Thanks very much for bringing us here to explore!

Nice park- the vandalism to the notice board is a shame though.

Penultimate cache for the day and a really nice walk to cool off after climbing 700 odd stairs. I found a weird looking memorial with two teddy bears and a plastic rose hanging from a tree fern close by and then found a neatly hidden cache. TNLN. Thanks for showing me this part of the forest.

What a beautiful park! Had a wonderful time solving this one and taking the wanted. Didn't see any of the sweet flowers in bloom today but the cache was worth the walk. Nice size, but a little empty so i took nothing and left a necklace, keyring and strawberry shortcake figurine.
Thanks edmil for the cache!

This cache has been on the to do list for some time now and today seemed like a good time to have a look.
We arrived at the first location and it seemed someone has decided to “up†the difficulty by spray painting some graffiti over the information board. This was not going to stop us so with a bit of bush cleaning I was able to concentrate on hopefully the right area.
After deciphering the clues we knew we needed to re-think the clues as the GZ was many, many hundred kilometers away. A quick check on the cache description assured us this was not a Melbourne to Albury cache as difficulty and terrain was 1.5, and a 300 kilometer walk would (I hope) be more than 1.5. This was assumed on walking and not driving as that could be possible but unlikely. However thinking about it by the cache description “eg A = 26†could be taken as “Estimated Gz Albury = 260 kilometers†away and L1, L2, L3, could represent highway truck stops, but again this was highly unlikely (I hope).
I decided to do this the easier way than driving to Albury and went back to the info board for another look.
It then became clear I may have written down the wrong clue and crunched to numbers to see if GZ was a bit closer.
After entering to coordinates it was off to GZ and not as far as Albury, this proved a bit sad as I was getting excited about driving to Albury for this cache. It was a short time later I arrived at the GZ and this definitely reminded me of a cache we did near Albury and I was a bit happier.
It was not long before we signed the log, re-hid the cache and headed off for more caching adventures.
Many thanks to Edmil for the cache it a great little spot to stop, I may use this place for work lunch stops when I am in the area.
Regards Mr.Coffee and the “If you try to read into a cache too much you could end up anywhere, even Albury†Clan.

First of thirteen finds on a cold, rainy day in company with acts2youthgroup. This one has been 'on the list' a couple of times, but I never seemed to get to it. Today it was first cab off the rank. I found it at 0915. It was raining, so it was another case of caching under an umbrella. Despite the weather conditions, I really enjoyed the park. There are myriad tracks through it, so I took a different path in and out. I made no exchange. Thanks to edmil for the cache.

04-Nov-06
Did a driveby on waypoint 1 and there was a car with people hanging around the required area. Came back some time later and they had moved to the other end of the car park and had been joined by others. I obtained what I thought would be the correct information from the female point of view and it turned out to be right. I didn't want to leave my car unattended given the nature of the others lurking in the area so went for a drive and found another park enterance. GZ was an easy find and the cache was a little showing. On returning the cache I made attempts to bed the cache down a little further out of sight and plunged my hand in to make some more room. Thank goodness I didn't get bitten but seconds latter there where bullants everywhere rearing in the air ready for some serios action[:0]. I returned the cache very carfully in quick bursts dodging bullants as I went.
TNLNSL
Hope no one gets bitten

Thanks Edmill and friends.

I finally got to do this cache. I have had it in the back of my mind since it first came up, but was always in a hurry to get home after work but this afternoon I had a half hour to spare so off I went to find it. At waypoint 1 the information was gotten and the maths done and off I went. The GPSr was leading me around a bit at GZ but after a couple of minutes the cache was found in a fairly obvious spot. Filled in the log book and as I replaced it a bullant bit me for diturbing his home SurprisedSad[xx(](future finders beware!!!). Thanks for the cache Edmil.
