Thought we would check the app to see if there was any hidden here while walking the dog. Found this one, but didn't have a pen so will sign next time I'm out that way.
Out for a drive today getting a couple of caches that were DNFs the first time round for me. I have a bit of time today as RG72 has something else on for a few hours, so its a perfect day to take my time around some less travelled roads for me.When I was here the first time, there was a decent sized indentation in the leaf litter here, but no cache.I have ignored it for a while, but seeing a bit of activity on it recently I decided to stop by for a look.No cricket or tennis today, which is great for being stealthy. It was a bit drizzly though.Cache was a bit exposed, so the log was signed and its replaced under some bark.TFTC Rangi.
I was here not too long ago and got coords in the private property next door. Today I brought Marchwood along to redo the calculation. He found my error, which was forgetting the +1.At GZ, it was obvious that the cache was gone. This is too nice of a place not to have a cache, so we 'threw down' a replacement pill bottle. We hope the CO is not too angry. TFTC.
I got all the clues (eventually) which lead me to a site that matched the descriptions, hint and past logs. I'm fairly certain it's been removed very recently, mostly because of the suspiciously rectangular indent in the leaf litter
Got our figures a little wrong here to start with and with GZ way over there it was time to regroup and try again. This time it took us the other way to finally get this one snagged and tagged. This cricket pitch was just being set up for a local gathering. But we are out of here first. Cheers.
It Wellington Anniversary weekend and The Seagnoid is heading south. So its a weekend away with Zara, Toby and The Seagnoid with the main focus on LAB caches around Nelson and Tasman. With a day around Marlborough for cache maintenance and phone maintenance. Another awesome weekend.

Initially we had the wrong coordinates - out by one digit - and it was rather amazing to eventually find that the cricket park is exactly 0.1 minutes across. There was a guy who arrived just as we were getting organised - we had blocked his access in, he was here to set up a game. Once we found the cache (on the other side of the park from what we first checked), we had to explain what we were doing (which was all cool) and just as we were leaving a bunch of people started arrived. Perfectly timed!
It's Wellington Anniversary so what better thing to do to celebrate than to... leave! I hopped on a plane and headed over to Nelson and met up with Taybeedragon for a couple of days of adventure labbing in Nelson then to Blenheim on Monday for some cache maintenance and to pick up a huge swag of ammo cans (it's not what you know, it's who you work for!)

If it weren't for caching I'd never know about this place and its history. A quick solve I did at home after a drive by visit on Sunday and today was the day to come back to find the cache. It's been a long time since its seen daylight and so it was really dirty and full of water. Sorry I didn't bring a spare logbook as the one in residence is saturated. I made an attempt and signed it but it will need a maintenance visit. Thanks Rangi, it's good to find one of the older caches out there and a good sized one too.
Nine days to do some caching for the price of four leave days - who could complain about that! I found a quirky place to stay near Motueka, and decided to base myself there to cache in the wider area. I had a few on my hit list, and ended up finding a great variety of different caches on the trip.
Day seven - a few more on my way back from walking around Takaka Hill. Nice walk around, albeit a little boggy under foot. TFTC!!

After yesterdays weather I looked for a cache that was nowhere near the coast and this fitted the bill perfectly. I was sitting in my car working out the coordinates when a van pulled up behind me. Turned out to be someone checking out the cricket pitch. I sat and waited while he cleared a few branches and then he left. I headed to GZ - initially went to another tree that was hollow - no cache but plenty of wasps at that one. Looked for another tree and soon got the right one - I saw the cache but I could hear a hum coming from the tree - and I am never too keen to put my bare arm in such places, I thought about it for a moment or two then gingerly reached in and pulled out the cache. he log book was damp but still very useable. I returned it in much the same fashion as how I had got it out of the tree - very calmly while hoping not to get stung. Success on all fronts - Thanks for bringing me to this lovely wee gem of a spot that I would never have known about and thanks for the cache
The grounds looked great after the great mowing job that has just been done, ready for the cricket tomorrow. After a visit to the tennis courts finalised the co-ords and wandered over to GZ. Trees affected the GPS but the cache was soon found under light debris. A nice m/c. Thanks.
A beautiful sunny afternoon. Took 2 go's to gey the maths right, but there it was. Thank you
TregearP and I had some business in the general area this morning, so once completed, and with a bit of spare time we took a trip down Central Rd on our way to this multi which hadn't been found for about 18 months.
Found the coordinates and information quickly enough, although we did need a short walk to confirm one bit of information.
A short bit of manipulation and on our way to the final where barring a little water in the bottom of the cache and the log book a tad damp from absorbed moisture, all was in good condition given time between finds. Dried the cache, signed log and made sure tightly zipped into its plastic bag and returned as found.
Collected the TB which I'll move on.
Thanks for brining us here and thanks for the cache.

Had planned to do this multi during the Mary Hyde weeks but didn't quite get to it so when catching up with a local cacher at and event who said she'd dropped a TB in we said it was on our radar and today was the day. A nice walk across the well kept grounds got us the final info we needed and headed off to final. Cache damp inside but log all nice and dry, TFTC
Quickly worked out the location and them trotted off to make the find. Next stop Mot for coffee. TFTC
Needed a multi to get this weekend's souvenir so decided on this one hoping there would be no one around. Was nice and peaceful and once I had the co-ords correct headed straight to the hide and found the cache. Dropped off a TB.
Now this cache was the *real* target of my lunchtime cache trip today as it fills a gap in my Jasmer grid (https://www.geocaching.com/blog/2014/08/jasmer-fizzy-and-365/), which I'm unlikely to ever complete, but heck, you never know.
Great to see a cache still going strong after just over ten years but with only 83 finds in that time and no FPs either.
Turns out to be a nice straight-forward multi. Perhaps the coords were a little off (or a keyed a number wrong), but with the hint there were not too many options. A quick find once at the GZ.
Thanks and here's to another ten years!

Pretty easy little multi. Made even easier by the cache being on the ground when I arrived at GZ. Was upside down with a lid clip undone, so subsequently log book was quite damp and funky. Still signable, but could use some attention. TFTC
Put the coordinates into my GPS but nope, miles out. Tried again. Same result. Hmmmm???? Another check then realised I was using 173 degrees longitude instead of 172 degrees. Derrr!!!!!! Quick find after that. Thanks Rangi!!
Have had this multi printed out ready for a visit, for some time now and finally we made the short detour to the published co-ords while on the Central mini trail. Soon had some co-ords (guessed the tennis courts # as we were too lazy to walk over for a closer look) and went for a walk. Co-ords were a little off but with the help of the hint, the cache was found in the obvious place.
No sign of the trackables, I hope that they have been picked up recently and not yet logged. TFTC.

#9227. A domain that is a bit off the beaten track; good to have a cache here to cause us to make a visit. Coords seemed a bit off, but when I went to check the obvious spot the cache was a quick find. TFTC.
Back here again poking around. Great place for Black and Chocolate to chase balls.
This park is so well hidden I literally drove past the entrance (someone was parked in front of the gates so I couldn't see them and just assumed it was their dive or letterbox) twice! lol
Thanks for introducing me to the place Rangi, Wolf (new geodog) and I had fun scouting around & finding the cache together

A morning drive to grab a few of the "off the beaten track" caches which have somehow always missed being included in previous forays. I haven't been to this ground for many years, probably last time was during my school days. The required information was soon at hand and the final GZ calculated. A short walk later and we were signing the log. TFTC.
This playing field is surely well hidden. It's so typical for the trust still put in fellow humans in the rural areas that the key to the gate was dangling in plain view. A nice multi cache . TFTC
Unfortunately the cricket season is over but it does mske this cache a lot easier TFTC

Thanks for showing us this piece of history. Amazing how well maintained this field still is. Although one half of the team made a mistake with the calculation (as usual!) the cache was soon in our hands. Thanks.
Nice little multi at an unusual place. Thanks for the cache and Merry Christmas.
Always love coming to these old historical spots, collected the info and after a short search was able to complete the paperwork. TFTC, #5377
I resolved coordinates and found this one out on the ground, opened with all stuff around.. I returned everything back, just ensure if I placed it to correct spot (according to your clue) tftc

Found on Easter Sunday with furpurse, Mum & Dad. #19/36 finds for the day, second consectutive day for breaking my daily record.
Made a guestimate with one of the numbers but as we got close enough to see the error a quick coords change and it was a quick find. Nobody about today it was nice having the place to ourselves. TFTC

Fun little challenge. A family of muggles playing cricket made the hunt a little harder.
Got before work this morning. I remember playing cricket here many years ago. Was nice to have the place to myself. Thanks for the cache =)
Knocked this one off after lunch at Riverside. Dried out box and contents and replaced ziplock bag. Log book just a little damp but not that bad and in sealed bag so all fine. TFTC.
Just realised we hadnt logged this as a find, wondered why a smiley face didnt appear.TFTC.
Great little cricket ground, thought we would give this one a go without the gps.thanks
Magic day, and a neat little multi to finish. Lovely quiet spot. I never knew this was here! It was so nice that we stayed for a picnic. TFTC! #300.
When I tried to write the answers down my pen didn't work, no matter what I tried .. So everything was a little bit more complicated, but I found the cache easily - and just after that my stupid pen worked again ... -.-

Catching up with logs for caches I found with Sidewaze before I got my own account. TFTC
Found it!! I kind of knew about a cricket ground here but didn't realise it was still looked after. A lovely spot. Thanks for the cache Rangi. TNLN Sidewaze PS Hey So Bad there's a spare set of teeth here if you need them!!!
there was one family sort of playing tennis. They were hitting the balls for the dogs to fetch. Had to wait a bit up the road till they had all had enough. TFTC (656)
We had this one on the back burner and decided that we would do this cache today.Good one, once we solved the puzzle we had the cache in our hand in no time TFTC
No cricket today, season probably over, but there were a few dog training muggles - luckily on the far side of the field. Coords as noted ended a bit short of GZ. Checked out a couple of likely candidates before striking gold. Loved the trees around this park just coming into Autumn colours. TFTC, Biggles.
Solved puzzle but as others have said co-ords had us in the open. Found cache 20 mtrs away using the clue. NINO TFTC
Our dog tracking group has used this area in the past for obedience and other exercises.

Good to see that the area is still used - tennis muggles there the day we were. We too got GZ out on the grass. Fortunately the first likely spot that we checked was the correct one.

Nice location...never new it was there. My first cache hunt for several months. Lots of rain to contend with. Got clues OK but my GSP was way out and so did a bit of walking around and found eventually. Nothing taken or given. Went to the River cafe and had a great coffee !
Parked on the main road and took the bridge and then the country road to the cache. Worked the numbers and ended up with GZ still on the grass. Checked three possible spots based on the clue and came up with the cache on the third one. TFTC.
Parked by the Community and walked via the bridge to the park. Talk about in the middle of nowhere. No cricket today. Rangi cache 7 of 10 found today. Thanks for the tour of MOT.
Another multi on our way into Motueka. This one was worked out pretty quickly and the cache retrieved just as the sun came out again. TNLN TFTC
Easy to find but well buried in leaves. Looking good for summer cricket.

Like the Belt family (NO math. mistakes and NO dog leftovers though), our GPS coordinates indicated a position right in the cricket field where no one could possibly hide a container, The 'additional hint' tree was not difficult to find, even though GPS registered protest.
Unfortunately no cricket in progress, love watching it.

First attempt at this cache ended with an "I'm not taking the car there" returned a week later for an easy find.

Cricket is my passion so I thoroughly enjoyed visitng this lovely old cricket ground. Easy find on a lovely summer's day. Took 'K' left Sobad teeth.
Oh man. What an experience. First I had an error in my math, causing me to waste a fair amount of time around the wrong area of the ground - the error put me on an exact boundary, how is that for bad luck? I then managed to get both shoes in some "canine organic waste".. #$@#$@! If luck was involved at all, it was that there was a working tap on the building 3m further. But still... After retracing the math, tried for the proper location, but GPS was all over the place. Tried at least a dozen times to come at it from different directions, parallel and so on, but it kept on zeroing on what ended up being about 20-25m from the eventual cache. Needed the hint, after which we found the right location in less than a minute. Again tried to make the GPS take me there and it refused - combination of trees and rain made this a hard find. Took out the cricket set and played a little. -puzzle +mini pen, took German Geocoin which will probably end up around Picton next. TFTC, very peaceful location.
1394. There was nobody around today so we had the place to ourselves. This is a really nice looking cricket ground - it is good to see that it is still being used.
+ geocoin - German World Championships.

Like another one nearby, it took me a third time to be able to log the cache because of muggles camped nearby. Today they had mostly left, and there was no-one around other than some empty tents. The cache was mine at last! Cheers Gav [979]
A while since we have been here so thanks for bringing us back. Nice spot.

MMM found the ford but was not allowed to take the FORD through it so had to take the long way around. Picked up Wanderin inn TB here too. Love seeing these sort of places.
Nice out of the way park that looks like it still gets some use which is great to see. Hubby Stretch0 picked up the travel bug and we left a toy puzzle thanks for the cache

A nice easy find when I entered the co ords correctly. Placed a geocoin and took the Teddy Bear travel bug.
A lot of searching...I didn't add 1 to the number of tennis courts! Left Teddy TB, took Nothing
We were cursing our GPS and contemplating upgrading until we used the clue and found that everyone else was a bit off too. No Cricket today.

Seems the coords are a little out, which is reflected by others in the notebook inside the cache, but a little common sense means the cache is pretty straight forward to locate. We initially drove past as there were muggles having a cup of tea and bikkies, and they would've seen exactly what we were doing.
We really enjoyed such a lovely rural spot on such a beautiful spring morning. There was a puppy class in full action during our hunt which gave our head geocaching labrador a chance to show off all his obedience skills and show those young things how to do it!
Final co-ordinates required us to use the clue.

Took the wrong road, but decided to walk up to it anyway across the swing bridge, had to use the clue as it put me out in the grass ( I made B+1 ) On walking back I saw a calf being born in a feild nearby ( very interisting)
Found using the clue, as the parts of the instructions are wrong.
But apart from that, great place for a cache I like old out of the way and forgotten domains.
Many Thanks Bitsprayer
