Visit today confirmed the hide and cache have completely disappeared. After 16 plus years time to say goodbye....
After some discussion with the CO, I was able to confirm that the cache and associated infrastructure has unfortunately been removed. Will be a pity to lose a 16 year old Multi from the game board. After gathering the required information, I’m logging what may be the final find for this cache with the CO’s permission. Found on the trip home after another awesome, annual QOGM event. On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird (aka Mrs Geo, Salty Chook, the Old Boiler, Old Chook, Dirty Bird, Angry Bird & occasionally even Love Bird). It’s a great day for caching.

Called in on the way back from Lego Discovery Centre in Melbourne. Needed a leg stretch and this was a nice walk from town then a quick multi before walking back. TFTC
In Victoria to visit Lady membsec’s mum and our daughter was completing in an orienteering event. We were heading back to the airport and decided to stop at any caches that seem to be easy enough to do and find. The log book was very damp but we managed to sign our name!

Yay, third time I tried to find this cache and because there was no one here, I could have a good look. Cache was extremely quickly found (amazing when there's no Muggles) and a saturated log signed... thank goodness for gel pens! Thanks Feathertop!!
Chook travelled from Beaufort to Riddells Creek to spend a couple of days with her good friend Wendy. Stopped by this one on the way. Being a cold rainy day, there was nobody around, which made for a quick calculation and find. Logbook is damp but was able to write in it. Boy Gisborne has changed since we used to live up the road in Bullengarook. TFTC feathertop.
Nice easy apt find for our croquet champ D. Log is damp, bag containing it needs replacing. Tftc
The cache seems to be hidden somewhere under a tree however the trees limbs have fallen and have obscured the location of the log. It’s a shame as the puzzle was a fun one to do until the end
On the way to Bendigo for the weekend, Easy to work out with Multi and find your cache The log paper is so wet. feathertop, thank you so much for placing it.
Totally deserted early this morning which made for a straightforward search. Log is very damp and needs some TLC, but just able to sign. TFTC feathertop
I arrived at the posted coordinates and took a short walk to access the view of the required information. With the count complete and some quick google searching I had a plausible GZ. I was able to search just out of sight of a group of dog walkers. It took a little longer than expected but I eventually found the cache sitting a little lower than I expected. I’m not quite sure this is the correct positioning. Possibly as a result of its location, the logbook is soggy, although I managed to get my name in the log… just!
Thanks feathertop for placing this gamepiece in the wild for us to find.

Good sized cache that is well hidden in an obvious location. Soon had it found and log book signed TFTC
Wishing you a very Merry Christmas on this festive day.
I’m on my annual Christmas Day of finding somewhere to cache and hopefully finding a few caches as well as my family celebrate Christmas tomorrow.
I checked the map last night and an area came up as there have been a few new caches since the last time of being up this way so after finding those I headed to the Marsh to find a couple but I ended spending nearly the whole day around here after realising that there a few Adventure Labs around here as well.
But I then headed up this way as I needed the date to fill a spot on my calendar.
This is the last one for the day as I need to be home for tea and to get ready for tomorrow’s big lunch.
A nice easy multi that I soon had the coords worked out for and off I went to GZ.
Being today nobody is out on the croquet lawn playing.
Nice and quiet around here and I expect it could get rather busy around here in the nice weather.
My coords pointed me in one area and after a brief search I soon had the cache in hand.
Now to head down the Fwy towards home.
Thanks feathertop TFTC.

I love this area. I've been spending a lot of time in Gisborne lately, working along different extents of the Jacksons Creek, including right behind this cache! I finally got around to getting the required information, and finding the cache. A great little multi that taught me some new things, as well as giving me some ideas on how to find a croquet themed mystery near my house. It's been killing me that it's been unsolved for so many years, yet is one of the closest to my home location. Back to this cache, it was was worked out fast, and once I did my maths right, I was there quick fast. Lots of muggles around, but being in fluro with a work car that relates to GZ quickly makes muggles shrug and ignore me. A great hide, thank you feathertop. And for future finders, check out the swallow nest in the structure nearby, their little mud home is very cute!
Teamed up with CorianderConnected during the school holidays with 2 kids in the back, as one was MIA recovering from injury, and squeezed in the 2 Geodogs (Minks & Poppy) as well. It was an awesome day that we had been looking forward to for months. We headed out to the Gisborne area to find traditional caches as well as a multi possibly. Fish n chips for lunch, bush tracks, racing from spot to spot, and glorious sunshine made it a great day.
AS found it first after some help from our friendly CO who ensured we had the correct coordinates from our previous DNF. Thanks Feathertop very much.

Mr & Mrs Boomajarril went out for the day with the two geo-dogs around Gisborne. Couldn't find it @ 12:45pm as there were too many variables to find the correct co-ords. Another time...
Disabled for the duration of the Covid-19 crisis. Advice is to stay home and geocaching is just a game. Geocaching encourages non essential travel and contact transmission is an issue so it is the responsible thing to avoid caching at the moment.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Found the correct coordinates quickly enough, and spent an extraordinary amount of time poking around, high and low and low and again. Couldn't find anything apart from a lot of prickly bushes and good, potential hiding spots. Very frustrating, shall have to return for this one.
Finally! After a couple of attempts at this one I finally found it! Wow amazing hiding spot haha. All looks to be in good order, thank you
I am not sure why I didn’t complete this multi when I collected the information....probably ran out of time. Gee, was I happy about that today as I needed a multi for a challenge I am working on and I had an epic failure on another. I was fast running out of time again today but I was thankful for a quick find. These multis as certainly adding to my multi tally and getting me closer to a challenge. Thanks feathertop.
This is my second attempt today and been climbing all over the place and no sign . Sadly the log was awhile ago so thinking it may be gone or I'm just walking over it haha .
A nice 'oldie' to grab.
I needed a bit of a perk up, so very unexpectedly Sal and I went on a cache run and found around 13 (yes 13 - lucky for some, unlucky for others !) of her caches - it is always nice going on a caching run with the CO. So despite the weather being quite cool, and we could see our breath in the cold drizzle that fell, our navigation skills were exceptional - ok, ok, being in the company of the CO meant we were never looking for long and we even replaced 3 caches so win win for everyone!
Thanks feathertop for the company and for the great caches.

I loved playing this game during “corporate cup” back when they used to let you out of the office for an hour at lunch time. Today, I was lucky that there were some games in progress so I was able to count the balls and hoops. A nice lady tried to talk me into playing, and told me to enjoy my geocaching. This gives me the impression that the members are aware of the cache! Once I had some coordinates calculated I headed to GZ and made a quick find. Thanks for a great multi feathertop

My first day caching in the Macedon Shire today. My plan was to spend the afternoon chasing some caches around Gisborne to fill some Ausmer gaps then to join in on a group effort to do the night cache on Mt Macedon.
I had this one solved when we came up here about a month ago to visit the monthly market. But the day turned out wet and there were several events on at the GZ which made searching difficult. On our way home that day i was reading some previous logs and as it turned out i had one wrong answer due to a slightly ambiguous question so my GZ was out by several metres! Thx to Claybol i fixed my error and today with a clear run i made a quick find in conjunction with the clue. Thx feathertop, now i know a bit more about croquet and have another Ausmer month filled in. Cheers

On another caching trip today, once again in the company of Na'wal. We had set our sights on a night cache, plus a handful of other hides. Luckily the weather held out for us today and it was an enjoyable afternoon and evening.
After working out some math, we headed to our projected gz. It took a while to spot the cache, as it was tucked away out of reach. With a bit of manipulation, Na'wal was able to make the retrieval. A lovely little area, that unfortunately had no birds present today. TFTC feathertop

With some fun family things going on in the morning, it wasn't until the later in the day that DAB and I met up to tackle some multi caches around Gisborne, Riddles Creek & Macedon Ranges. The weather was good to us to allow us to have a great day out.
This wasn't as easy as the suggested DT for us today. I mucked up the numbers for this one to start with before DAB made the correction and the hide was not easy at all. We wandered back and forth a little before we found a likely spot and getting wet doing it. I have watched monkeys do some amazing things, I tried one of their tricks and it paid off for us today so we could make a find.

A mate of mine needed some tech support, so I drove up here to give his computer a stern talking to. Once that was sorted, and we'd had a nice cuppa and a couple of bikkies, it was time to play.
One of the things I wanted today was to ensure that I hadn't only found traditional caches on this date. As I'd pretty much worked out the final coordinates here on a previous visit, only to be muggled out of a thorough search, a revisit was warranted. It was a lot quieter this evening.
OK... Sorting out the error I appear to have made, the hiding spot was clear. The container was spotted, but getting it out was a bit of a chore. That's what trekking poles are for, right?
And another bonus seven months of love into the bargain.
Thanks, feathertop... I love a cache where I learn some things.

TFTC this was a bit tricky, had to consult Crack n LeeLee as GPS was taking us in the wrong direction - thanks Crackers
We've had this one solved for a good 6 months now, but everytime we came past this place is well and truely packed. It took a 42 degree Friday arvo to ensure the grounds were deserted except for all the birdlife that was here today. Once at GZ made a quick find.
Everything is in good condition and dry.
Thanks feathertop for the hide.

6559 Found by baby&Mrs gopher at 1430. Gathered the numbers at the Croquet Club put them together and went for the short stroll to GZ. Stopped and watched the Soccer players kicking that round ball around the field. SL Tnx feathertop
We gathered the clues from Google but realised one question has 2 answers which would account for some of the previous finders noting the cache was 20 metres out.....we made the same mistake ourselves initially. With another google search we had the second number which turned out to reveal the cache right where it should be . Thanks feathertop for the multi here in an area we haven't explored before.
Found with omegaman1971 today while grabbing a few caches on our way to Castlemaine. This one was a little tricky to retrieve with the nearby muggles coming and going but we made a quick grab while the coast was clear. Thanks feathertop for the fun little multi and hide.

In town with n0w0rries on the way up to the 9 month to Alexandra event in Wedderburn. The initial drawcard was gmj3191's first cache but this was a nice little bonus.
I thought it right that two venerable players each had their first placed cache (which also happened to be a multi) in the same town separated by 4 years. What are the odds, especially as both reside in Melbourne.
Whilst working out the co-ords, a croquet player came up to n0w0rries and I and asked what we were doing. Initial suspicion melted into boredom as we explained geocaching to him and I flashed the android app with the cache displayed. The least curious and intrusive muggles could do is actually read the cache description when proffered. Hmph!
Not a perfect time to actually find the cache as a cricket game was in full swing but luckily Papiliion4506, OzHockeyChick, GeoTurtle36, Lukie1987 and ahomburg signed us all in.

Found on our way to an event in Wedderburn with OzHockeyChick, Lukie1987 and ahomburg. Met up with leafotwind and n0w0rries. Soon had this solved and went to look for the cache. Not the best day to do it with cricket in full swing but no time to waste and not likely to be back for some time. Just as we went to retrieve the cache, a car backed into the most inappropriate parking place but it was too late. The postion had been taken. Retrieval made, the signing was in full swing (taking a little while as there were so many of us) when Mr Muggle walked over and asked just exactly what were we doing. After a quick explanation and visual demonstration, he was quite intrigued and said that he would not be telling anyone. He left smiling as did we all. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
Well this ended up being an adventurous day we left home at 7.30am picked up ahomburg along the way met up with ozhockeychick and papillon4506 and ended up finding a few along the way to the event in wedderburn.
We ended up going to the event heading out after to find a few more and headed into marybrough for dinner.
800k's and a full day of caching what an awesome day thanks heaps to all involved and thanks for bringing us here TFTC.

Wasn't that lucky? We went to the Croquet club to get the dirt answer then somewhere else to eat lunch and work out the coordinates. Put in the final numbers to find the location and we were about 20m away! Short walk to GZ then an easy find. TFTC Feathertop.
17/02/2017 - 2.09 pm - No. 841 - 3rd find for the day - heading north to 9 Months to Mega Event with Surefoot24 & Darren. We were looking for a good place to eat lunch & the car just drove itself to the fight place to get some of the info for this. Once first part was done we headed back a bit & found a likely looking bit of shade to put our chairs & eat. Additional info was found after we'd done our eating bit & the answers were loaded in to our finding devices ... we were suitably impressed that devices said "19m ... over there!" hahaha. Cache was found signed & returned to it's safe place. I liked the little creatures near gz. Will be a lot of croaking fun if they all grow up! Thanks for the cache.
Moneydork and Mrs Moneydork had very kindly invited me, last November, for a caching trip to Victoria over the Australia Day weekend [:X]
A massive trip with 13 DNFS and 318 finds over 7 days and many kilometers of travel
My knees don't want to bend anymore after a massive ride on the Ballarat Skipton Rail Trail and then about 145 finds the next day while finishing the Dad's Mt. Disappointment Driving Lesson series [xx(] Seems my driving lesson was about me keeping both feet on the ground as I broke my own record by doing the autumn leaf thing 4 times in one day [xx(]
Still a fantastic trip with great sights and lots of cache finds [^]

I know nothing about croquet and neither did Claybol ,but now I know a lot more.. lol too much information gave us a bit of a run around but we still came up with the goods eventually.. glad for some solid shade while we contemplated where it could possibly be.! as Claybol said we had a lot of fun completing this multi, so thanks for placing the cache here for us to find today feathertop! that's another one ticked off for the multi challenge .
Find #1246 for me. I arrived at the posted coordinates with jtnsilo just after midday, after spending most of the morning finding some multis on Mount Macedon with a small detour for breakfast at the cafe on top. Having come down from the mountain, we were pleasantly surprised that while hot, it was far from unbearable - allowing us to collect a few more caches for the Multicache Monthly Challenge which we were both attempting. We gathered the necessary information but did have a little trouble at GZ since our coordinates seemed to be a little out. After reading some previous logs we found the cache after about 20 minutes. In the comfort of home, I did a little more research into the wonderful game of croquet. It looks like the number of balls is different for 4-player croquet and 6-player croquet. We used the number for 6-player croquet which gave us the wrong answer (as luck would have it!). Had we used the correct number we would have had perfect coordinates for GZ, according to Google Earth. In any case we had a lot of fun completing this multi, so thanks for placing the cache here for us to find today feathertop!
Cold day and a bit drizzly. Got a little bit muddy locating the cache but didn't take too long to find woth diana8 and mistermagee. TFTC.
First cache of the weekend on a multi-cache road trip to Bendigo with mistermagee and julesc21. It was a bit wet and muddy and after visiting the site and a bit of googling for the answers, we soon all had wet knees and the cache in hand. TFTC
Away on geocache weekend to Bendigo with diana8 and JulesC21. Our goal is to find 30 multis in the month of June. This was number 1 for the weekend. Quick grab, cache in good condition. Tftc.
Travelling to Bullengarook to pick up some resources for next weekends mega I am also visiting a few caches along the way.
Solved the GZ location before I left home and made a quick find after arriving on site.

Travelling around Australia and we are currently staying in Woodend.
So many jobs to tackle whilst here, finally it was lunch time but we had our stuff together to head on to Gisborne to find a few caches.
Info collected and off we went before the rain came.

I had attended a meeting at the croquet club and looked around the clubhouse for the required info but could not find all of it. With the aid of google I worked out the co-ordinates. I finally got time to find this when attending another meeting today. Thanks feathertop.
Traveling past to a family event I made a quick stop on the way past only needing one of the questions to complete the maths. I got conflicting information on line but once that was sorted I made a quick at GZ.

Spent a good 20 minutes looking high and low. Cache seems to have eluded us despite previous logs where others have said this is an easy find. Muggled?????? Washed away?????
Suscoe's 10th find from 38 caches today as we headed around the Gisbourne area with our good friend Bushfire.
It was a cool day with quite a bit of cloud cover and a steady cool breeze keeping the temperature in the mid to low teens.
The sprinkle of rain from Thursday had disappeared and all was good as we headed around the local roads.
Well it was coffee time and so we took a break here and enjoyed a warm drop while we watched the activities nearby.
One of our crew had a most interesting chat with the locals and we almost had to rescue him from being an honorary member.
With the details in hand we were soon on the trail of the hide.
Cache discovered, log signed and on our way.
Thanks to feathertop for broadening our knowledge.

Bushfire and the suscoe cachers decided to venture up to this part of the state and put a few more smilies on the map as we have had a number of mysteries worked out for far too long plus there are a number of multi's to test us out as well.
Leaving Geelong early with breakfast at Bacchus Marsh and then it was out to the Lerderderg State Park and this was my 8th find for the day. We had a great day finding four mysteries, seven multi's and the rest traditionals and the most important thing was no DNF's.
With the coffee too hot to drink I visited the oldies where the ageing bushfire felt right at home but I think I will stick to caching and give this game a miss. While the very friendly locals were very helpful and provided the answers that we required I think they thought this guy was a little strange.
After some simple maths the cache was soon in hand, signed and we were on our way to the next. Thanks feathertop for placing this cache here eight years ago.

This was done whilst doing a nearby cache. There were no games being played today. Don't you love this instant technology we have now. It didn't take long to have a info needed that then put us right on the GZ for a quick find. Thanks feathertop FTC.
I have always wanted to return to my hometown of Gisborne, to do a day of caching with a sense of nostalgia and purpose. I love this place and think about it often, and today with sun shining and a day off work, I made the trip up from Geelong. Unfortunately as time goes on, not only do people change, but places do to! A Macca's, overgrown weeded waterhole, how things have changed over the past 10 years!
Never a sportsman myself, this was a first to this area. First attempt landed me in middle of tennis court, so went back and regoogled number of balls needed (hint, more than 2 but less than . Straight away had cache in hand. Thanks!

A certain damn horserace had muggles at GZ hanging out, so we'll have to come back for this one.
Need to do some more research for this one as my quick google hunt on my phone gave me several possible answers which had me in the middle of a tennis court or the middle of the wetland lake. TFTC feathertop

This cache was found during a Monday night cache run with Blacklegend, Trailrunning and Rebel Acts (TDC) as well as Poynts95 who came down with BL. for the nights run. Plenty of kilometres travelled during the run, with us starting early afternoon around Rebels home turf and finishing in the wee hours of the morning in Heathcote. A great variety of caches found with some really nice hides. Many thanks to the cache owners for placing the caches we found.
Found on a caching run with the TDC..... I was lucky enough to be able to cache with my local caching mate, Blacklegend, and the rest of The Demolition Crew on this occasion. I had a great night, lots of good conversation and great to again catch up with the TDC. My thanks to all the cache owners for their hides on the night. I don't think I can say a lot more than the others already have about the finds on the night. There were some fantastic hides amongst the caches, and some fav points will be given.

Found out and about on another TDC caching night. A fantastic run that took us far and wide, with the usual crew and with Poynts95 as well. Good conversation and laughs as always, and great to be out and about again finding....

TR had this sorted, online, so it was a driveby for us.... TFTC.

Worked this out online, a nice easy driveby at GZ. Thanks

Every week I look forward to exploring new areas with The Demolition Crew, and this Monday nights run brought us from Eric's place in Kilsyth through to Gisborne, Macedon and finally Heathcote. A long night of caching these areas, with a few nice walks and a few drivebys as well. Many thanks to the CO's for their efforts in placing and maintaining their caches. Unfortunately we were only able to replace one of the two scheduled cache replacements as we ran out of time.
