Did 14 caches today, amongst them this one. Drove up by car. No muggles around. Left one TB I brought down from Rotorua. TFTC
Easy find but got muggled before we could put it back. It is so amazing where a car will suddenly drive past right in the back of beyond. Ignored the GPS and followed the hint.
Was in 2 minds about where to go hiking today. Grabbed this cache, went to the end of the road and decided that the cache on top of Umukarikari was too far for my fitness level. So turned back and went to the Urchin instead. That was the right decision.
camped at another cache site so walked over to this before dinner.Forgot my gps is as the crow flies so 500m took 2k. Still great find.
Stopped here on the way back to Wellington to hunt out the last few caches in this area that I hadn't found. Cache was a quick find. Signed log, TFTC!
#441, found during my kiwi traveling. Log in may, because I was without net. TFTC
Quick drive by cache in the rain! Super surprised that the Phone GPS was operational out in the middle of nowhere!
After stopping at the canal intake and walking across a frozen puddle, we drove right to the cache and started searching. Looked for quite a while on the wrong side of the road. Such a quiet and isolated intersection, no-one around. A wonderful time looking.
Took a clip and soldier, left a whistle and bracelet.

Find #505. The eleventh find for us today and the first in Kaimanawa Forest area – lovely sunny weather today, we drove right to the cache (over a reasonably challenging gravel road- bumpy!) and could see a geotrail which lead the way to an unusual pile of sticks! A nice easy quick find in a scenic area under canopy. SL TFTC.
Found this one on our way back from the campsite and to the main road. A quick find in a lovely location.

Grandad was here months ago, but it was my first visit here. We also went to Forgotten View. Thank you.

The Van had no trouble driving up this road, found the cache pretty quickly, nice peaceful spot.

We spent great four weeks caching in NZ. NZ nature and the caches are amazing. Thanks for all the caches, the great adventure and greetings from Czech Republic.
We found this cache with Standa.Sefl during our holiday in New Zealand. New Zealand has very nice nature, thanks for all nice places. Greetings from Czech republic.
Found as part of my three week caching trip from Wellington to Auckland - # 459. Thanks.
Track was fair tame for 4WD. First time in the area its magnificent! Thanks for bringing me in.
A nice easy way to start a day out collecting all the Punga and Paua caches in this area. TFTC.
This was a lovely drive, enjoying ourselves immensely. Found this one easily. Almost ran over Mr Buzz's foot with the car! Will try harder next time.
A quick stop for a breather on my 6km walk/jog from the Urchin carpark back to the Umukarikari carpark after two fantastic days in the mountains.
The Freezer Mice strike again!!!
Time enough for one last cache before we had to head home... its a shame when work gets in the way of geocaching.
Ironically we grabbed this cache after an awesome trip up the Umikarikaris.
Nil in or out, TFTC.

3.50pm. Left the car at the bridge even though the road is in excellent order so we could enjoy the bush as we walked. And enjoy it we did. With the clue the cache was an easy find. Cache found in good order. The mist lingered around the forest heights but the rain held off until we were back at the bridge. Enjoyed this one a lot. TFTC.

Yep, we thought this one was cool. We could hear bees in the trees, lovely day, lovely area.
Thank you.
Thank you.
No need for clues here - its all obvious when you get there. Quick drive by in the rain to an area we have tramped in many times. TFTC
A wonderfully warm, balmy (or is that barmy?) afternoon up here. The Outback ate the road up.
Straightforward find on this one. All true to coords, directions, clue. Thank you. Cache in order and rehidden as found.

Found cache without too much of a problem. The camo bag is a good idea - blends things into the environment and provides that bit of extra waterproofing. A nice place to get into and warrants further time in the future exploring a little more widely. Thanks for the effort and thought that went into placing this cache.
Thanks for the cache. Found on way from wellington to Cambridge.

Yet another fascinating excursion, lovely area and one I have noted as a "must come back". Quick find. Signed log. TFTC
Found by Uppie and Greg after walking the nearby track for a wee way. In note holder, out Centinary coin. Lovely spot
Out and about on Xena... Much more fun than on a manual powered mountain bike..!!!
With TechnoKitten on the quarterdeck we had just planted our own cache up Ketetahi Track and were out and about hunting some more of P&P's wonderful caches..
This must rate as one of my most favourites of all I have done...
We took Xena down to the outlet then up the gravel track.!!! Yeeha.. she will go anywhere..
Got close and pointed TK at likely spot and she was quick to come up with the goods..
What a beautiful part of the plateau.. thanks P&P..
Not many people would bring a BMW R1150RT up a track like that..!!!
She enjoyed the trip and I have loaded a pic or two to prove she was here...
TK purring all the way..
she signed the log and left calling cards..
I picked up Texas Coin and dropped in Norge Ship TB...

All I can say is WOW this is the most beautiful stand of native beech... A MUST find for all cachers. Riding the rumbleseat on Xena with XenaCommander on a gravel road was great fun, what an awesome pilot!
XC pointed moi in the right direction and I gots me claws on the precious. Neat goodies .. loved the multicard but left it there.
Signed the log and left calling cards.
Thanks P&P for a fabulous cache.

Wow, never made it down this road before, its pretty exciting. There are loads of deep cut gorges and hidden valeys. Keep your eye out for some knarly straeams.
Sixth find of 23 for our 'round the mountains' caching day.
Wonderful views of the 'sky tower'!

Making day out round trip to find as many cache's as we can - Visited twice as left glasses behind.....
GPS gave up on lock 50m before cache, so had to use the clue. Loved the skytower!

My GPS doesnt like to play under trees, esp wet ones, SO I used the clue and found easily. TFTC
After the heavy overnight rain we drove in with some trepidation but need not have worried.
An easy find once the GPSr had steadied down. It's first thought was the skytower but it soon came to its senses.
What a nice area. I had driven up the Kaimanawa road several times but not the road in to this track. We drove round the loop and I was relieved not to have to drive back up that hill as our road clearance led to some anxious momentsgoing down.
Multiple rafts were being launched as we reached the intake.
