Looked around and couldnt see anything.. got to remember this is a very popular spot for people so it needs to be checked often by the placer to make sure its still there as chances are high that someone will take it.. i didnt look that long as i didnt want to waste my time looking when like the last 5 comments all said they couldnt find it.. I suggest go and have a look placer and make sure its still there..
Took the kids to see Hanging Rock today, as we were all free today on school holidays. Thought this cache should be easy, but we couldn't find it. There was a huge pile of bark that looked like it would be the hiding spot, but no luck there. The hint seemed to agree with the GPS but somewhat confusing too?
Found on a trip back to Kyneton from Mount Macedon. Great view of Hanging Rock from here thanks for the cache
Geopups on to this in a jiff...log signed.. TN left Gold Poker Chip.. awesome hide. Tyftc .. from cairns cachers
Suscoe was heading homewards today from Bendigo via some caches we wanted to visit between the Calder and the McIvor / Northern Highways as well as a stop in Melbourne to sort out a virtual that we had been interested in.
So it was an early start to proceedings and thankfully a mild morning to head off in.
We saw some wonderful countryside around the east of Bendigo, the Lake Eppalock region, Redesdale, The Mount Macedon area and down the way to Sunbury and finally the laneways and arcades of the Big Smoke.
Thanks to Keeper of Time for this hide, a enjoyed seeing the rock from this angle, haven't been behind the fence for a few years, maybe we will need to revisit it again soon.
A quick find and sign.
A large kangaroo hopped by behind the fence while we were here too.

Took the kids to a slime making workshop at the Hanging Rock café and picked this one up on the way back. Unfortunately the summit was closed due to bad weather, as we love climbing the rock. I also love running around the rock during the annual race the rock and singing and dancing at whatever concert is held here, so love this place. Thanks for the nice easy cache.
Gorgeous location, thank you for taking us around this side
Straightforward find for oldest child, and then did swaps for kids.
Thank you for the adventure

GPS was all over the place and wouldn’t settle so it was a case of eliminate all the obvious places 1 at a time till the cache revealed it self.
Just found this in my drafts, seems I forgot to actually log it.
Brings back happy memories of time spent playing our guide to an old school friend visiting me from the UK.
Left a bouncy ball and 2 sticky dinosaur men.

Quick find together with Parkermon. Swapped an action figure for an armband.

Found with Exportswede. Great spot and a cool view of the Rock. Plenty of cows to keep an eye on us as we found it, and a decent herd of kangaroos at the racecourse as well. TFTC!
After visiting Hanging Rock we found this one. Nice view from the other side.

We were a bit too late to get in to do the nearby Earthcache but were able to inspect a new picnic shelter being erected near this cache. Unfortunately we didn’t even get a view of the Rock. Cache was easily found in good condition.
Heading home after the Mega, very weary but making the most of visiting a few more caches on the way. TFTC
MazzyMay and I had a most excellent time at the Mega but all things must come to an end but we are not done yet. We picked up some more caches on the way home. TFTC
On our way to Alexandra and this was on our way and gave us a chance to stop and stretch our legs, but not for long as it was pouring with rain.
Thanks from mogni

Just gotta love a band with Comets in the name.
Found as part of my 2017 Alexandra Mega experience. This cache added to the fun and enjoyment of my trek to the east and back from Adelaide. While there were a few thunder storms, there were mainly clear skies and I never saw a snake! [^]
Thanks to Keeper of Time and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet!
Beautiful day at Hanging Rock today during Melbourne Cup long weekend.
Climbed the rock then tried to exit out the back gates, which were locked so came around the long way. Started looking at a possible spot when a voice shouted out “it’s over there”. A roadie who was packing up from last night’s Midnight Oil concert had spotted us and gave us a hand. Very helpful, thanks! He’d remembered others looking around here 5 years before after a previous concert!!!
Apparently there were 20,000 people here last night and it got down to 1 degree. All calm and warm again though.
Logbook signed and a smiling rock left. TFTC Keeper of Time.

We were going to visit hanging Rock, but missed the closing time, so went around the back to pick this cache up. Spectacular views! There were mobs of kangaroos around here too in the late afternoon sun, so plenty of photo opportunities also. Taught my travelling buds that the novel based on the infamous picnic isn't a true story, but its still funny to shout Miranda from the summit...

Found during a day trip to the Hanging Rock. Pity the summit was closed due to high winds. At least we got to watch the kangaroos Thank you
With the 'L'unatic driver taking us to Hanging Rock, we went to pick up this cache first. Probably should stop calling him that, 2 hour drive here, thru traffic, roadworks and the city and we survived.
Certainly enjoyed the non-tourist view of the rocks and all the kangaroos hiding over here.
Thanks for the cache Keeper of Time

Found by the Hollies after visiting the picnic location nearby. TFTC Keeper of Time.
Quick find today after spending a few hours checking out hanging rock. Was great to come around this side and get the best view! TFTC
A quick find, first one for the cousins. A beautiful day and good way to finish off our time at Hanging Rock. Tftc
I grabbed this one after my picnic at... some rock nearby. As I pulled up, I got chatting with a local who informed me there had just been a concert on the field. He was armed with a metal detector to get the stray coins! Genius! I found the cache swiftly and signed the log. The Location gives a great view of Hanging Rock. Thank you.
Fixed up the cache, new container and log book. Not a lot of swaps in it but will revisit soon to restock.

The geo wife and I were geo kiddie free so we had planned a trip up to the Macedon Ranges and Hepburn Springs areas. We left after packing a few supplies and were on the road early. It was a little overcast first thing but it turned into a beautiful day to be out exploring. Thankfully all was quiet across the road. I was a little unsure where this one was but found it after a short hunt. Cache container is broken and needs fixing. Stamped and replaced as found.
**Thanks for placing this trad cache Keeper of Time**
**Cache container is broken, log a touch damp**
**Took nothing, Left nothing**

Nice easy find while visiting the famous rocks nearby. The container lid is broken and someone has kindly put it into a plastic bag. TFTC
Passing through this area and had time to detour to this cache. Took note of the hint and before too long we had it in hand. Very interesting looking structure being built near by. TFTC
Find number 5589 at 3:25:36 pm
Heading to Goughs Bay from the Gisborne area and looking for some geocaches along the way.
Will get harder to find soon with the nearby construction of two public shelters. Managed to descretely grab whilst workers had their afternoon tee break.

Found with Lancefieldexpress. Great place for a hide.. made more interesting by the new house being built across the road. Container lid is broken. but wrapped in a plastic bag the elements are being kept at bay. Left a mini rubicks cube and took the little car. TFTC.
Great view! TFTC The cache was a little damp after the recent heavy rainfall but we were still able to sign the log.
Wet and windy day at the rock, very misty and atmospheric, grabbed this on the way home tftc!
Out at night, too dark for the hike but caching can be done by phone light. Introduced 2 muggles and one Kiwi to caching. No TB for those looking for it. TFTC, back tomorrow morning for the hike.
Caching the Mt Dissapointment series with becca85 and wozzl68 today and after grabbing all 150 (plus a few extras) we still had the thirst for a few more! A quick find in the dark on the way home and onto the next one. Many thanks
A nice quick find here in the dark as we slowly made our way home.
GemmaSistema, wozzle68 & myself had made plans months ago to get together and tackle the Mount Disappointment series with our ultimate goal being 150 in a day to help us qualify for a challenge cache in Geelong.
Setting a date that suited us all proved a challenge in itself but finally today was the day and although the weather promised to be fairly crappy, we all met up in Daylesford and headed off together ready for a long day.
With 2 quick finds along the way, 150+ 2 on the mountain trail and after 6.5ish hours for Mt D, we finished off all very wet (my socks literally went in the bin when I got home after 9pm) with another 14 caches on our way home and a yummy warm dinner in Woodend.
