On a bit of a road-trip through the Wheatbelt, this was another stop on our tour of the area... After a bit of a drive around the rock we made a quick scramble up the hill to look for this one

With a new GC.com challenge recently published that required the jinta team to find caches in another 21 Western Australia counties, we decided it was time for a big road trip day. Mrs jinta and I packed up the car and headed away from home at about 4.30am with our sights set on a 800+ kilometre round trip going through Cunderdin, Tammin, Kellerberrin, Trayning, Kununoppin, Nungarin, Mukinbudin, Bencubbin, Koorda, Cadoux and then home through Goomalling. It was a fantastic day and we spent about 14 and a half hours tripping around grabbing both GC and GCA caches.
A big shout out to all the CO's whose caches we found, the Wheatbelt was once again a fantastic place to visit and the weather was on our side with the temps maxing out at only 38 degrees.
A nice walk up the rock (although the flies were quite bad) and a quick find of this archived cache.

A two day trip to the wheatbelt to tackle the ever growing number of green and orange dots on the map and cleanup some archived caches that are still in play has been on the cards for a very long time, just the timing has never been right!
With these new wheatbelt science trail caches being published and the two of us having a rare Saturday off we decided to meet in Northam before heading off for a full days caching.
We started off a bit slow needing to fuel in Northam before heading to kellerberrin and then to the northern wheatbelt to cleanup a few FTF opportunities.
We got to Keller Fella as the locals call it and missed the FTF by around 25 minutes.
From Kellerberrin we headed north towards Mikinbudin, Bencubbin, Koorda, Wyalkatchem, Goomallinh and finally we said our farewells again in Northam.
It was a huge day out today with 18 finds, around 800km on the clock, 5 FTFs and 3 archived caches. We saw some really nice features of the wheatbelt and have made a nice dent in the nearly 100 unfound caches we have still got to collect out this way.
Special thanks to the local and not so local COs for their caches, very much appreciated in these parts of Western Australia!!

Wheatbelt caching is some of my favourite caching, well anything away from the noise, smell and hustle of the city is great. The wheatbelt has it all, long drives, great scenery, brilliant sights, and interesting stuff at every turn.

Roadtripping the Northern Wheatbelt with Kyzabra and Krabiboy, this was a good archived cache to collect. Thanks ZED
Today was a huge day. 14 hours, 625km, and 27 finds.
This trip out had been a long time in the planning.
Krabiboy and I had hatched a plan and probably changed it about 10 times. dallyho joined us, final plans were set, and off we went
Another archived cache which we almost had to not log. As we were leaving, we found the container and was able to replace with the lid we found at gz.
ZED! - Kyzabra found your cache Mt Marshall . The cache is in good shape and we replaced it as found. Thanks for placing this and bringing us to this spot!

Kyzabra and I have had our eyes on this part of the Wheatbelt for a few months. We were joined by Dallyho and today was the day to head out and make a weekend of it.
We left at 4.30am on Friday and headed off to the northern wheatbelt.
We covered over 600km today, clocking up 29 finds, including 5 archived caches.
A nice hill here, and we made a quick grab of the lid at first before Kyzabra stumbled upon the rest of the container on the way back down.

TFTC!! Easter hunting around Shire of Mukinbudin. Lovely view from another mountain in the central wheatbelt!! Cooler day with a touch of rain. Awesome blue sky with patches of fluffy white clouds!!
I celebrated St. Pat's day by doing a loop of the northern part of the Central Wheatbelt. I found this one at 16:25. Judicious driving on the existing tracks took me close to GZ. TNLNSL TFTC ZED!
Nice place to camp even has a toilet would not have know it was there unless we followed the cache TFTC
Had planned a trip out into the SW but unfortunately it couldn't happen as planned so decided to take a drive out this way instead.
Was a quick find here and enjoyed the bit of wind at the top when I continued up there. Picked up the trackable.
Thanks ZED! for the cache.

Our first cache, yay, dogs were stoked wi the run. we've been here plenty of time and love to read notes left by others.
WOW.
Been the country courier out this way for a few years now and have wanted to log this cache during that but haven't had the time to detour from my route, until now. What a magical place. Amazing views and wild life.
I'm a great lover of reptiles and while looking around, I've spotted a couple of bearded dragons and followed them around until they out smarted me and disappeared.
The best find, was coming back down and startling a perentie. Upon seeing me, this beautiful, big lizard, took off. Was awesome to watch.
Thank you so much for this cache.

Quick find for master 6 after a nice morning walk up the rock. We camped the night too. TFTC
We stayed at the base of the mountain and enjoyed an early morning climb to the cache. Great views. Thanks Zed!
On my way out to the goldfields for my rocks and gold tour, I dropped by this one. TFTC
Great views, took some wonderful photo's, and enjoyed the breaj from work and driving...
Still bimbling around out in the Wheatbelt with The Machman.
Making a diversion out to Bencubbin and Koorda. After last month when we visited with it being 40degrees we didn't head on
over to this as a walk was out of the question then.
Today was manageable by Mr Felix and MM in 30degrees whilst Mrs Felix fixed us all some lunch at the very nice campsite.

On a weekend Camping trip, heading East to the Goldfields with the Felix duo, hoping to fill in some gaps on the "The Well-Travelled and Aged Cacher Challenge". (GC3TR3M).
Ended up traveling over 1500Km over three days, so a fantastic road trip.
Took the easy way up the mountain with Mr FELIX, and the much steeper way down.
Nice walk... and what made it even better was that lunch had magically appeared out of the
back of the Geo Cruiser whilst we had gone.
Amazing things these Land cruisers. (+ Mrs FELIX).

Great views of surrounding farmland. Cache in good condition although we could see where bit and pieces had been scattered around as mentioned by the previous cacher. SL TNLN TFTC.
Fantastic views from the top. We found the cache but it was in a bit of disarray. We put it back together best we could. The container, book, pencil and a couple of trinkets were lying around. We think that maybe the wildlife might have had a bit to do with it. All is good we hid it back in the same place and hopefully a bit harder for the wildlife to get at.

I spent the night at this fantastic location and found the cache whilst having brekkie. I was a bit disturbed to find what looked like a muggled cache loaction, but after reading the cache description and hint found the actual cache. TFTH.
** Coordinates Changed From **
S 30° 50.296 E 117° 54.091
Distance From Old: 39.7 feet or 12.1 meters.
Added a log book and pencil, moved to what should be a more secure location.
Strange that someone would take the logbook (pencil and sharpener) but put the rest back.
Upon reflection I should have checked the ashes of the nearby camp fire for the notebook spiral.

No notebook. Left pirate notebook but no pen to write anything. A bit of a mess around it. Cleaned up a bit.
Absolutely fantastic spot thanks for bringin us out here.

The last of several today, and our favorite spot of the day. A nice easy climb up the gentle slope and an easy find. Great views too.
Nobody around today, but there was a fairly recently abandoned tent in the camping area, a bit strange as it wasnt very badly damaged, a couple of the poles were a few metres away and the fly was hanging in a nearby tree.
TNLN..Many thanks for bringing us to this great spot.

After parking the car we found a gently incline which got us up to gz. A short search revealed the cache. TNLN. Thanks for showing us this interested area which would be a good overnight bush camp spot with the caravan.
I trust your response next time it needs maintenance will be a little more prompt...
I've replaced the box and contents.
Looks like the facilities in the camp ground have been upgraded. New bins (looks like the bin liners were only put in on Friday) and large concrete picnic tables.
For the fire, what looks like half a 1000 gallon tank. Except unfortunately, IRC, the total fire ban begins on Nov 1st.

We had planned to help out and replace this cache but we had already used our container up on another one. The contents are dry now and although rusty we think it should be Ok until next winter sets in. The hot sun makes even the best plastic fail quickly and it seems because the CLiptop containers have the clips intergrated with the main container they lose their flexibility. The Sistema Klipit containers with the blue clips may be a better option.
We placed the log book and pencil in a ziplock bag and then bagged the whole cache and left it upsidedown so that it should be ok for a few light showers.
This is an excellent location and we hope you do get around to replacing it....sorry we didnt help as much as we should in this case.

URGENT ATTENTION NEEDED -- The cache was full, and I mean capital F.U.L.L., of water, the lid is cracked and the clips do not!
Everything in the cache is rusty, ruined and unsalvageable. We emptied out the water, dried the stash as best we could and waited for the log book to dry just so that we could you sign it. Sorry, we didn't have a replacement cache with us. Never the less the location was well worth the effort, who needs a cache?

Another one of NobodyZ's excellent cache series. Still enjoyed visiting the rocky area and 360° view around. Thanks to NobodyZ for another excellent location and the cache.
After camping out the night not far from the cache we went for an early morning walk and climbed the rock. Found in good condition.

Great little camping spot, got a fire going and went to find the box. Took coin.
After a lightning trip to Kalgoorlie and doing a maint. run checking my own geocaches I'd made it back this far before deciding to have a sleep, this being a camp site 'n'all.
Dropped a geocoin that wanted to go camping.

We had decided to cut this one from our itinerary as we were running late and geomum had to work the next day but the thrill of another possible first to find was too great so off we went. Found just in time to watch the sun setting in the west.
