Bluelens last logged on in December 2008, and hasn't replied to my several emails, so my strong feeling is they are no longer in the game. I think such a lovely spot needs freeing up so another active geocache can be placed here.
Hi there bluelens,
Your cache "Josephines Gold" was last found on 21/12/2012 (963 days ago), and has had 3 DNF's since that time..
Is there any chance you could do a maintenance run to confirm if it is still there - - and replace it if it isn't.
If that's not possible then please archive the cache so that the spot can be freed up for someone else to use.
Regards
Ian & Penny

Went looking for this one with the Geokids. Searched high and low at WP1, but no luck. Will keep an eye on this cache and hopefully have another go down the road.
Attempted this one today, but was unable to find stage1. So I didn't really get anywhere. The area around GZ looked disturbed, in places it looked as if some animal had been digging around. Wonder if the container is still there, considering it hasn't been found in a while.
The walk to the waterfall was almost magical (if it weren't for all the young backpacking muggles).
Will put this one on my watch list and come back once the existence of the first waypoint is confirmed
Thanks for bringing me here.

Went up north from Townsville for a couple of days of geocaching adventure. This cache was a fun one and my boys absolutely loved it. Cache is in pretty good condition.

Located, but only after several close encounters with numerous prickly plants and vines.
As with the previous comments regarding the laminated card located in the first waypoint, it is now totally unreadable. Fortunately some nice soul had rewritten the co-ordinated on a piece of paper which is located inside the plastic cache cylinder.
The second waypoint cache was covered in mud, so it was given a clean and a new protective plastic bag.
The final GZ shows signs of trees down following the March cyclone. A lot of tentative searching was required to prevent being spiked or prickled, but eventually the cache was found. The cache and its contents are in good condition.
Left nothing but took the Savannahlander badge.

Brahms6 found this one with Wazza&Kara. Well what a prickle-a-thon!. Each segment was exactly where they should be and the intrepid Wazza and I braved the wait-a-whiles and other vegitative monsters to claim this one. Tip for next person wear long trousers. A great hunt that took us to places we had not yet been. Took nothing left a YoYo. Thanks for the travel around.
We have been camping at nearby Babina and thought we would give this cache a shot -Ian was slightly hesitant after reading the logs about the prickles as he is still getting over being stung by gympie gympie over a month ago.
Waypoint 1 was easily found - although the bag is torn and the laminated card is nearly unreadable we managed to open the container and found another set of co-ords in excellent condition.
Waypoint 2 took more time to find but eventually after a few wait-a whiles it was spotted.
Finally the cache!!! Yippee... still all OK after all this time - what a fantastic spot for a cache too so quite, serene and inviting on a humid day.
thanks for showing us this spot

A beautiful day to knock off a few caches in tropical FNQ. Found the two waypoints without too much trouble, but the laminated cards are quite wet and getting difficult to read (particularly at WP1). I didn't have any baggies to replace the old ones with, so some maintenance may be required by the next cacher to do this cache. Had some trouble with the final cache, but only because our GPS was jumping around under the tree cover and had us about seven meters from the hide - doesn't sound like much, but when you get there, you will see how difficult this makes it. Final cache is in good condition. Took the Malayan 10c piece, left nothing. TFTC. BTW, does anyone know if you can camp at the final cache location?
Found all WP allthrough WP2 took us a while. All ticky and thorny there at the moment.... At the final Location the cache was spotted pretty easy because it was just lying around. WP1 and the final are well worth a visit, but WP2?

Found all 3 today.
1st was soggy but fully functional.
2nd needed some tlc so we left a freshly zip-locked copy of the co-ordinates.
3rd is still at somebodys camp site! Soggy so we dried it out as best we could.
I suggest you take a texta to sign damp log with.
If you are doing this cache while seeing the sights in the area, falls first, then cache 1,2,3 then golden hole would work best.

Found this one after doing the other 2 waypoints. Wow, we thought we had misread the second waypoint as it seemed to be pointing us to somewhere not quite right(we had not looked at the pictures) Anyway we found all caches by 11am.
The Gentleman mentioned in Whatsamaps previous log was still camped at the cache location. We spoke to him as he thought we were looking for the trailhead for the walking track nearby. Once he knew we were looking for the Cache he pointed us in the general direction. Easy find. Our kids played with the Frisbee in the park a while before heading for The Boulders for lunch.

Back online after being offline and out of geocaching for a few months due to serious stuff. Would really appreciate a little help if possible getting the bluelens caches back in order. Thanks very much to those who have already. If you could take the extra time to perhaps let the contents dry out or email me if there are more serious problems. Thanks for you patience.

Teamed with Mike FNQ we found the first site alive with hikers getting ready to climb Bartle Frere but located hide with a little search. Contents all very wet but readable.
Off to find clue number 2, we found it in much the same state.
Off to find GZ. As we were getting closer to GZ we were faced with a dilemma. There was someone camped in the exact same spot we wanted to search so rather than give up we decided to have a chat to the guy and tell him what we were up to.
Much to our surprise he said "Are you after that cache thing are you". He had accidentally found it the day before and was most interested to hear just what that thing was for and what type of people would go looking for it.
Once we had finished all the swapping etc we decided to have lunch at this magnificent place.

Contents are almost unreadable and need replacing. Even the laminated sheets have faded. Will save the coordinates and will furnish if anyone wants to do some maintenance on this excellent multi if owner is unable. Otherwise will fix up next time we are in the area.
Excellent Multi. However contents of first 2 caches are almost illegible. Will make a maintenance note to the owner.

I remembered from previous travels the location associated with the cache name, so had no real problems finding the general spot. Heavy rain was falling up in the mountains close by. Following the clues made the waypoint finds easy. Unfortunately, the weather has not been kind to the first 2 containers, as there has been water ingress, wetting the clue sheets inside.
The final cache location was a tad difficult to find, however, of course, when actually spotted, stood out like DB's.
I made my donation of blood to the Wait-A-While gods as well, while doing this cache.
A group of rafters were also heading out on an adventure from near the cache location.
Found at 1115 hrs.
My forth eightth find of my trip out west and up north.
Cheers

Found it in company with Liz & Bruce. What a wonderful area this one was in. I am a local and did not even know this beautiful place existed!
A really great location and the cache was not where we thought it would be. We arrived at the starting coords and had lunch in the shelter of the picnic area. Then we viewed the stunning falls. Then on to the cache and a very beautiful final location. We admired the beautiful waterholes and reflections and also the contrast of the black rocks against the very green grass. Thanks bluelens for showing us this location. TNLN.
Found this cache with the in-laws. The first cache was out in the open, but we replaced it where we guessed it had come from. We were rewarded with some nice fresh lemons at the final cache. Thanks for another great FNQ cache Blue Lens. SL. TNLN.
This one was a team effort. He Platy found first hide quite easily. Off to second hide with coordinates in GPS. Arrived at second looked for a while then decided to back and recheck coord at first hide. This time joined by Platy jr returned to same site of second hide. This time found by platy jr within minutes. On to third hide with coord in GPS. Initially He Platy and Platy jr went for the hunt. She Platy in van with headache. Looked and looked to no avail. Decided to call on She Platy. Back to GZ with instant success by She Platy.

[Unfortunately we had to skip the second hide, for the first mini container was so tightly locked that we couldn't get it open. But soon we found the cache - ]considering its nickname[ and after poking around a little in the area where we thought it could be. It is well hidden in a lovely environment worth staying for a cool dip on a hot day.
It's a pity that we couldn't meet the rather large bird eating spider CRAIGSAM encountered at the second hide.

Had fun finding this one. Was a bit tricky, as we took the long way to the second cache and found a rather large bird eating spider and a stinging tree. Finally found the main cache and we certainly found the nasty ants, along with alot of wait-a-while vines. Overall had a great time but came out with quite a few scratches. Left Jim Moriarty and did not take anything. Thanks guys.
Our fourth geocaching stop on our way home. We had to wait for a muggle to move before we could locate hide 1 which is a little bit wet OK off to hide 2. What have we done wrong? In the end we gave up on hide 2 and headed to where we thought the main cache was going to be and hope for the best just using the hints. Off to a bad start we were tempted by the first site of water we briefly looked up stream and then down but both areas looked very flood prone. Hmm there has to be another spot but where? Eventually I spotted another area and headed off yep this spot looked promising. So into the bushes I went eventually mr burdair caught up to me but he spotted the water and decided to have a quick swim but I was determined to find the cache. Bingo some how I fluked it. But be warned there are some nasty ants now protecting the cache and they know how to bite and so do the marchflies. TNLNSL Thanks for the challenge.
DanielC, wife Val, and DanielV on geocache picnic today (morning tea at Mungalli Falls, yummy, and lunch at Brampston Beach. We found Walking with Harold, Crawfords cache, Josephine's Gold, Rock on at Brampston, and The Boulders Gorge. This one was a very interesting one. DanielV found the first stage. I found second stage and the cache. I had never heard of the Golden Hole before even though I had been to Josephine Falls a couple of times. It is a truly beautiful area, and so very well maintained. Took Commonwealth Bank key ring and left bangle. Cheers, Dan

...thanks guys...a really enjoyable little cache...made more special being my 200th [^].
Made a bit easier by the local wildlife who had moved some of the caches out into the open (replaced in what appeared to be the obvious locations)
took nil - but left one of my geocoins.

I did manage to find the wait-a-while on the way to the cache though [:o)]
Dropped a Canada pen in the cache.
Thanks for showing me this lovely area. The track to the top of Bartle-Frere is still closed at the moment. Phew, temptation avoided

Top spots (all three) despite the dull day. Our main mission (apart from finding the cache) was to liberate the penguin in the cache...the youngest Falling Numeral has a "thing" for penguins. Therefore we took the penguin and left some Singapore and Malaysian coins (seven or eight of different denomiations).
We enjoying following the clues and thankyou for taking us to this great spot. We had heard about it but never been there.

FTF. I have visited Hide 1 on many occasions, but was unaware of the area at Hide 3. A lovely spot with a beautiful swimming hole. An awesome looking container and a good fun cache. Took my folks along for their first cache and they loved it. Took compass keyring and left plastic toy. SLTFTH and for taking us to a great place.
