Logs
I visited this cache a while ago but there was nothing but a spiral from the notebook and a glass shell. I logged a find at the time but it never sat well with me because the cache was no longer there. I eventually changed the log from a found to a note.
I kept watching the cache though and I noticed that it had since been replaced. Today., I was driving past and decided to come and have another look. Sure enough, I found a log in a zip lock bag but no container. The bag also had a hole so I decide to place it in a container. The only one I had handy was a pill bottle which is not really appropriate for this setting but it was all I had.
So there seems to be a viable cache here again. I'm not sure what happens from here.

It will be a shame that this cache will now get archived as it has been here for 10 years. The community could have replaced this seeing as CO isn't in the game any longer and someone could have kept an eye on it. Sad!!! Well, I finally got around to doing this one. I never realised there were such big paths in this bushland. I thought it was all thick bush which is why I haven't done this one to date. A lovely walk with the chikins after school pick up. The kids made a wooden cross to mark the loss of this cache. TFTC The Nanks even though you aren't in the game any longer.
Anticipating an archiving at any moment, I have added a logbook to the GZ just in case it survives the cull. Beautiful spot on a quiet afternoon so TFTC.
Like the cachers before me , all that was left at GZ was a large and small pieces of molten plastic and a wire spiral off the log book. I know this one wont get replaced so I am logging a find now before it gets archived. Have taken photos of where I found it.
As I was coming out of the bushland just on dusk, a dark shape flitted across my path. Was it a black wallaby or was it Grizzler's goat? I turned to try and spot it again but it was hard to spot against the burnt tree trunks and logs and well and truly disappeared.
Thanks for the hunt THE NANKS

It's been four months since this was reported as burnt beyond repair and no response from CO. Time to be archived?

A fire has been through recently and there is not much of the cache left. Needs to be completely replaced
Didn't read the logs before I went there and, once I found it was unsure how to log as I could not sign a log. In the end, I take my cues from more experienced geocachers and claim it as found. I will log a needs maintenance so that hopefully it can be restored. It's a beautiful spot, at the moment full of new life and it would be a shame to lose it. TFTC THENANKS
Out and about with Nurseyjulie today Time for a bit of a bush wander. We had no trouble making our way around this area thanks to all the tracks being marked on my GPSr, and the co-ords were all spot on [^]
As the previous finder said, the area has been burnt out. We also discovered the spiral from a notebook and small glass seashell shaped trinket right at our GZ, so hope the CO accepts that as a find. TFTC, THENANKS.

A short bush walk in this bushland making a couple of finds with IolantheK. We noted that there had been some burn off recently and had looked at the previous logs upon arrival at GZ. We found the perfect spot and saw the shell and spiral as the previous finder. Unfortunately I did not have anything to replace the container so we took pictures of the molten plastic and GZ itself if the CO would like. TFTC THENANKS
Decided to claim it as found. Located white spiral from a notebook and small glass seashell shaped trinket is all that remains.
The air at GZ was still smokey. Recent intense bushfire has left the area black with white ash everywhere.
No point in replacing the cache until there is some regrowth in the area. Caution needs to be taken as touching or brushing against anything turns clothing black.
Only later realised should have taken a photo of what a blackened wasteland looks like...

Nice quick find after a bit of scrub bashing. Signed the log, replaced it and out of there just before dark. TFTC
Surprisingly good cache considering the CO has been long gone.
Easy walk in and relieved to finally get this little green box off my map! Interesting piece of scrub.

While doing the caches across the dam, this kept popping up in the middle so decided it was time to do it. Rusty85 and I drive this way a lot but have never been in the bushland, thank you giving us a reason to explore a new walk. TFTC dropped a TB
Another cache that is not that far out of the way for me and today was time to make the effort to go in for the find. I had made my way along the track from the previous cache and although I had been looking found no really good entry point. So just took the closest spot that looked like the least resistance and got started through the bush.
I soon arrived around the area at GZ and just one or two places I checked soon turned up the cache.

Out for a caching run on Anzac Day and stopped in on this one on the way home. Managed to follow the tracks most of the way but resorted to a bush bash along some wallaby trails to GZ. Once there only a short search and I had the cache to hand. Tftc.
I dropped the Crookedkids at "tackers" sailing school this morning and then took the Geo-Retriever for a circuit walk up over this hill and around the nearby tracks collecting a few caches in the area.
Poor Ruby the retriever didn't recover from the hill, so I ambled slowly around the tracks to this one. Must put a stop to those table scraps she enjoys so much. No problems here. All is in good order.
Thanks THENANKS

I had 2 brown snakes get out if my way on my trek into this one. I have to say that they're not my favourite snake. Though at least they were moving away from me! Thanks for the cache!
A quick dash to the bush in late afternoon. I'd already done a cache at the top of Mt Petrie, and how it was time for the remaining ones in the same reserve.
A really nice place this is, away from the buzz of the nearby commercial centre, and very quiet today.
Parked by Brightview St and strolled along the trails. The last 70 m through the scrub, towards an easy find. The cache was easy to spot in a likely location as a big plastic bag was on the ground at the GZ.
Signed the log, had my new TB visit the cache, and returned the container back. Everything is in good shape here.
To get the gradually disintegrating plastic out of the woods, I took the liberty to cover the container with natural material available at the GZ and take the broken bag with me to our recycle bin.
TNLNSL, TFTC The Nanks!

Great Cache. I wouldn't be going in from the pie van.... a lot more bush bashing needed if you do that. Many thanks for the cache . Thylacine Jenn
Could not see any goats but found the cache in good condition with lots of goodies. TFTC.
After wondering over from a nearby cache, we soon arrived at the GZ. A quick search around and we soon had the prize. Log signed and back to the car for a nice cold drink. TFTC
No Gizzlers today, and no sign of goats either. However none of that matters, the important thing was the cache was found All is safe and dry. TFTC
Wow!!! What a trek through the bush! Took a while to get to the cache but it was totally worth it! Thanks for the cache THENANKS!

Going for a bit of wander around the area. Two caches found and a "Goat" and a "Panther" to find before returning to the car.
It was a nice sunny winter day and there was only a bit of water around from the recent rains.
The cache didn't allude me for too long and soon cache number three was in hand.
Thanks for the cache TheNanks. Cheers.

I have driven passed this area every Saturday taking my daughter to horse riding lessons and have just never had the time to stop and take a walk through this bushland. This cache gave me the perfect excuse to venture in. Besides the Gizzler's Truck was not at its parking spot today so cold stop for a meal.
After my run in with the previous cache "Pink Pamper" I was still a bit upset with the rude log entry in it, I was worried that I would see the same type of entry in this cache. This was troubling me the whole way to the cache. Because of this I did not add my customary waypoint when I go off the normal track and into the bush. I climbed on the first "Wallaby" track into the cache. Found the cache with no problem.
The log was in good condition, No rude log entry. Would seem this maybe a little way out for this type of person. The Cache container was well protected and in good condition as well.
Then it came to leave I realised I had not stuck a waypoint for me to head towards, tracked back the way I thought I came and ended a few meters up the road so all good.
It was good relaxing walk back to the car, with the birds chirping around me, I was a peace again. There was even a great pond/dam on the way back that look so inviting on this warm day.

TFTC. Enjoyed the walk. Have driven past this area meny times. SL, TN, Left Rabbit.
Many times I've driven past the pie van also and wondered how well he actually does in that spot. But if he's been there so long it can't be too bad a job. I'd walked in from another cache so not via the pie van area and only had to bush bash for the last 50m or so. No goats to be seen today, but I think I ended up wearing all the spiderwebs in the area despite waving a stick around to clear them. Thoroughly enjoyed the walk to this one this afternoon. TFTC.
Approached this one from Prout Rd rather than the pie van, mainly to control them urges . Oh and to grab another cache.
It was quite pleasant wandering through the bush. A little bit of bush bashing and cache was quickly found. All good.

A lovely area and a wonderful walk to the cache. We didn't have too much trouble finding the right paths. No wildlife that we spotted apart from the usual spiders. Thanks for bringing us out here THENANKS
Goats? Pies? So confused... Plenty of spiders though! The Marble and I walked down after picking up Pink Pamper and went bush for the last bit grab the cache itself. I think we followed a kangaroo track in toward it. Found safe and dry in this pretty bushland. TFTC. =^.^=
Continued on to this one after Pink Pamper but I think I followed a goat track to the cache in the last 50 metres or so. Loved the area. TFTC
No goats today as I searched for this one. I used to drive passed this area everyday for work and never stopped. After a bit of a wander through the bush, I came up to GZ and found the cache easily. TFTC Thenanks
Amazing scenic to walk thru the bush.
Lots spider webs out there.

Well to say it was "damp" this morning is an understatement... Svn07 and I took to the trail with umbrella and spray jacket in a hope to stay dry... That worked until we had to head bush... Umbrella doesn't work through the trees so it was walk and soak up the rain...
Made our way to GZ and the cache was a nice easy find... [^] The decision now was whether we bush bash to the next or backtrack to a wel formed track... [?] No question really... The track won hands down...
Sure this quaint little patch of bush is much better when the sun is shining... Not too bad this morning though, even with the moisture...
Cheers Nanks.

Lovely morning out in the rain! The bush is particularly pretty when freshly washed. However, these thoughts only occur in retrospect and at the time I'm sure my cache-mate Gunnie and I had the same thought.....are we crazy!?!?!?
I suspect what looked like a geo-trail was in fact an animal pathway as I started to notice more and more of them as we trekked towards GZ...either that or a lot of other cacher's GPSrs were taking them on a merry dance. Always good to spot a "likely" hide and to walk around it, find the cache and have the GPSr say 0m.
Thanks for the cache and showing me what Gizzlers Goats will never bother seeing. Cheers, svn07

Another nice little find, Geokid thought we were going deep into drop bear territory, log book signed, geokid took the only Koala that seemed to be around for a souvenir and card was left.

Well we saw the pie van as we were leaving... up the road from where we parked, so I've no idea if we approached from the righ parking area or not.
We got within about 150m of the cache, but couldn't find the path in so we just headed straight to it. This proved to not be a real good idea as the bush in here gets so thick in places that you can't see 20m in front of you... many times we had to circle around an impassable stand of trees.
Finding the cache was easy... TNLNSL, etc... but now... how do we get out of here. Figuring that there must be a path nearby in *that* direction we bounded off onto a similar adventure on the way back as on the way in.
We came out of it all with a few scratches, but as we love the bush so much we really did have a lot of fun. TFTC, our 9th find for the day.
