I inspected the site tonight and saw the dead tree had fallen over and I couldn't find the goods. As I'm no longer involved in this fun sport I'll archive this webpage. This geocache brought us lots of good times over the past 14 years.
Found nice spot, thank you for bringing me here. Didnt have any foreign currency but left a little 'spirit' TFTC
This multi has an interesting D/T (or at lest one that is rare for multi caches!), so was on our list to collect. Even better, a zero step multi! TFTC.
It seems that this is a multi combo not found back at home, so it made it on to the list for today whilst in town for the Mega. Lovely area to walk through.
Finally found, and yep no longer a multi! Some cool coins, didn’t hv any w us, took none. Mozzies plentiful. Tftc
Found on the 19/11/2017 at 8:55:00 AM.
A planned caching trip out to Yerranderie this weekend was cancelled due to the forecast heavy rain, but Delloro and I were still keen to get out and find some treasure, so a day trip down the coast was planned instead.
My previous caching trips this far down the coast, I felt the 500m walk from the car was too much, though it was usually at the end of the day. This time it was my closest one yet to find!
The ground around gz was a bit squishy and under water. It was a a challenge to find a way across and staying dry.
Thanks for the cache.

This was originally a multi right? I imagine the mozzies have carried off WP1. Thankfully a quick find here. Clever idea, if I knew we were doing this today I would have brought a few coins to toss in.

I checked GZ yesterday and the cupboard WAS bare. Because of our very dry winter, the site is remarkably devoid of lush undergrowth and rambling vines covering the tree base. It was possibly muggled as there was no sign of the container or the loot. I'll find another GZ spot in case the mugglers return for more cache/cash. Watch this space.
When she got there the cupboard was bare managed to find the relevant coordinates for GZ, but nothing there!!!
Hmmm pretty sure we had the gz and knew where it should be but no sign of it! sad (but scenic) walk back to car...

Walked in from the south.... beautiful walk, felt a little strange after reading about the woman's body being found so I decided to use my iOvilus app, wow... this thing may work... I got words like 'August' 'Hours' 'Pain' in a short amount of time....
anyway, back to the cache, WP1 was a quick find thanks to the note log by the CO, and GZ was a nice walk, then quick find, obvious location.
Cheers

So I had another crack at finding this cache...
As it turned out, my previous DNF log visit had me at GZ thinking to myself "this would be a good location for a cache". It was such a good location that on this visit, I actually found it....
This is one to strike off the "to do" list, after how many tries and misses, not that the area has me complaining. It was easy to return visit.
This was a log only for me. My American and Canadian currency from a recent trip was all converted back to "real money" by the time I got home. So no swapssies.
Thank you Kiama Krew for the cache.

Please note WP1 includes co-ords written on a post which will take you to GZ.
This morning I found the cache intact at GZ.
If coming from the north look out for the giant eel lurking in the stream under the timber bridge on the bike path (not the curved bridge). I was too late to take his photo this morning.

Well I have had several goes at this one. Again, I walk away empty handed. This time the coords given at WP1 led me to what I think was a reasonable cache hide, but it was empty. Earlier attempts at this cache were at a different location. I will see what further logs will say about finding the goods before I mumble something about the cache being taken (again?!).
We looked for a while at WP1 checking out the most likely places. It was only when I had a proper look where MrsFish indicated that I saw what I had missed earlier, then we were off to GZ. There was a most likely site there for a cache, and it did not take long to find, although I was not keen on wandering around the low undergrowth this time of year. Thanks Kiama Krew for a good multi, we enjoyed this one, although I wish we had brought our bikes on this short break.
Wow, got to walk on the brand new bike track.
Took too long at WP1 and was about to give up when I had a light globe moment and thought what is that over there.
Co-ords found it was a pleasant walk to GZ and a quick find.
Left - Vanuatu-vatu, New Zealand coins, Singapore coins, USA coins and a Tibetan 1000? bank note.

I took on this multi with the pushbike,
I was a really nice ride along here today,I never had noticed this trail before,
After a look here and there I soon found WP1 and the GPSr led me straight to the cache,
I had nothing to exchange so I completed the signing duties and was soon back at the car, that didnt take long

Wish I’d popped the bike in the car as I‘d planned as it would have been a nice ride. Walking was quite pleasant too and while GZ ended up being closer to the first parking option I’d considered, the walk back past WP1 was no more onerous overall. Started spotting some unusual objects along the walk that caught my eye as “appropriate or possible hides” but arrow kept indicating I needed to keep going. Eventually clue and co-ords did marry up with one of these objects for an easy find but not so keen on GZ and there was no obvious geotrail to the most likely spot and I was only wearing shorts to wade through some long undergrowth. Just had to go for it, found and signing log quickly before any forest creepy crawlies found me. No currency to drop off as upcoming overseas trip not planned till end of next year.

I really enjoyed this multi - and learning about the dunmore swamp oak forest - my favourite thing about caching is the places I come to that I wouldn't otherwise visit. I left 20,000 dong note and a 2000 dong coin from a wonderful holiday in vietnam. I'm attaching a photo of the geo hubby and I at the mud springs at Nha Trang - any resemblance to mr & mrs shrek is purely coincidental. TFTC Kiama Krew.
The cache/cash has been relocated and the coords have been checked for accuracy on Google Earth. We've added a 1,000 Korean Won note to start the kitty - but don't get too excited, it's only worth about $1.10.
I've found a better spot (away from muggles) so the cache will be temporarily unavailable until I set up the new GZ coords. Standby.
01 Aug 2015 - I checked it on my way through today, it's still there but all the coins are gone !! It's been burgled ! Maybe it was stolen by a muggle and returned empty later on. Which means they might be back when it has more coins later. I think I'll look for another hidy spot. Stay tuned.
looked everywhere but could not find

Stopped by here on my way home from a caching event at Barrack Heights today. A beautiful area to walk in. WP 1 was easily located as was GZ. No TB in cache. SL TFTC
1250 GAFF1 Well well well! We had an encounter of the herpatological kind as well, but ours was a red-bellied black. Wasn't on the track, but on the way in from where I parked the car (not the best choice), so we came back a different way. When we got back to the car I found a couple of NZ 50 cent pieces from going to the NZ MEGA, drats. At WP1 checked out the depth gauge, and then realised where we needed to go. Cache soon found. No exchanges made. Think I left a Correct Site Marker - surgical marking pen.

Not quite summer time, but the red-bellied snakes are out again, as I found out on a strange way in to WP1. But it was all good from there on. Just wished we had thought ahead and brought some of our small change left over from the recent O/S holiday.

My 1st multi-cache! Yay!! Bonniemob and I set out today for this cache in particular, as some friends have tried many times to locate this one with no luck. It's very clever, I think I will have to try some more multi's! Hopefully next time "without" the snake (brown??) experience! Pic attached.
Left "5 yen" (gold coloured coin with hole in the middle), that was given to us as a gift from a Japanese home stay student we had this year. This note from the parents was attached explaining the significance:
Five yen is called "Goen" in Japanese, Goen means "relationship" and is believed to bring fortune.

Did this cache today with Luck6 who had their eye on this cache. Armed with gumboots..just incase, off we headed down the pathway. Chat chat chatting as we do! Enjoying the spoils of nature on a great day after all the rain we have had recently...
Learnt a lesson today...keep and eye on the pathway while walking! Walking along, deep in conversation, luck6 starts yelling 'look out, look out' pointing at the ground. Mid stride I look down and right in my path, a snake..eeekkk. Not sure how I missed it but we all got out without getting bitten! Even got a photo!
Now full of adrenalin we headed for the first point. Found what we needed then off to discover the cache.
Once found Spent a few moments checking out the contents and adding our coins we had brought along with us. All I could find before I came was a few small euro coins. Didnt take anything just made a donation!
Didnt see any TBs in there though and thought I saw one listed on the inventory.
Great spot for caching! I love these ones away from the public eye and in amongst nature! Needless to say we carefully watched the path all the way home!
Thanks for this cache. A great fun find!

Found it after i was checking the wrong bridge and then decided to read the information completely and discovered it was a two part cache!
Visited location today. Either I am not getting something or its missing again, Hubby and I made fairly extensive search with no success.
Geohusband searched, searched and searched some more before and nearly gave up before realising this was a 2 part cache. Quick success once we headed off in the right direction. Left 20 Kroner from Norway. In 1998 I was an exchange student in Denmark and Norway and this was one of the coins left over from my time abroad. Glad to give it a good home and enjoyed looking at the others left behind.
Checked it this morning as I cycled through. It's still there. Just stretch that arm a little further.
Searched and searched and searched but no luck oh well my foreign coin remains in my pocket
Replaced container - now nice and dry. Same place, new container. Please screw the lid on nice and tight to keep the moisture out.
Retrieved cache and book and both are now with me drying out. Will replace when dry.
Argh, mozzies! Log book is quite damp. Still, a very nice walk to start the day. I don't have any coins left from my trip to the USA last year - gave them all as a tip to the waiter in the airport cafe before flying out. TFTC!
Great cache and location, shame the water has got in. Looks like a bit of waterproofing may be necessary. SLTN..TFTC
Don't forget the aero grad !! Baja and I got ravaged by mosquitoes , quite a nice walk, cicarders very load today. Found cache wet and log book soaked. TNSL. TFTC

Would you believe we intentionally got.xls.foreign coins to put in this cache but left them.at home, we noticed there was no Australian currency in there so left $2, did not take any. Log signed, found with 'Cache Claimer'
Unfortunately there was no TB.

Despite several efforts over several weekends trudging through the wetlands we couldn't find our missing geocache. Thinking it would be quite weighty as it was full of coins, we thought it couldn't have travelled very far. But alas, we now think it's gone to that big geocache in the sky ... (sob) and as we've no foreign coins to start a new one, we've decided to archive it. Regards - Kiama Krew.
Sorry folks, but the huge deluge we experienced last March (the region's worst storms in 20 years) washed away my cache ! Despite a thorough search, we couldn't find the cache - not even a cent ! So I'll put together a replacement cache when I get time.
Fantastic collection of coins building up here. Little Blue was fascinated by the Dead Money. Left 5 Mark TB - perfect place for this one to hide. TN SL TFTC

We nearly went for this one in summer as we had to hastily pull over nearby after a day on the beach; Mrs H had a bit of a shock when she felt something crawling up her leg. Expecting to probably see a spider, she jumped a mile when she spotted the size of it! It turned out to be a crab that had somehow got into the car! Anyway, we removed the crab and decided to leave the cache for another day, which turned out to be today.
A nice walk. Thanks,

What a lovely walk. We jogged (in short spurts, for Eyespiral's sake) and delighted in the friendly faces of cyclists and fellow foot-travellers who all greeted us this sunny Easter morning.
Didn't have any foreign currency con hand, so we left a collectors $1 AUD and took $1 USD.

Got to GZ after a pretty easy find at WP1, but came right at dusk and we were mercilessly attacked by sandflies and mozzies. We also each got stung by some sort of plant.
I used to live in the area and had forgotten just how bad they get at that time of day! We'll swing past again next time we're in the area, but next time we'll bring a torch and a can of Aerogard!

Couple of days ago I had a crack at this one with my Geoson, we found WP1 fine but just could not locate the cache. Today I ventured back down here with the likes of homedg and almost before the car was locked homedg had found the cache and begun the logging process, last time the GPS had me 20 metres away from here but today the same coords were spot on. To think of all that wasted time trudging around in the mud last time was all in vain! took TB but had no coins to add thanks for the cache.

a 2 Waypoint multi that I helped my ol' mates RAGS out with. They had been here previously but all to no avail.
Today the SAT gods were good (or maybe it was just operator error) and the co-ords had me within 1 mtr of the cache spot.
There are some really interesting coins in this cache, the best and most varied collection I have seen in any cache with this theme.

At last I can tick this one off. First time I cycled past with others and wasn't going back to the cache. Next time had the wrong coords for GZ. Well we found it today. Nearly didn't though. After a few muggles and a scurry in the bush, I was about to say lets go we have... well more to do but something said well maybe just one more stab at it. Well it paid off, found WP1 and we were well on our way. Well I must say this was a great cache, we left a G.C and well we decided to take a G.C as well, not sure if it is a trackable oh well. Well bye for now and thanks again for well placed cache.

There were a bazillion Golden Orb spiders criss crossing the track everywhere overhead and just about every tree had a few between them.
We located a likely spot but no cache - The water has been rather high lately so hopefully it hasn't been washed away.
The GPS gave us a 20M radius so we really wernt sure where to look.
Thanks anyway for the walk,

Found it after about 10 minutes of searching with Geokid and dog. Left some Polynesian coins and took the 1 million $US (I bet it is not real).
Our GPS went funny and blanked out for a moment near the first WP. It was at the same time as a train went by. It is the first time I have heard of trains interfering with GPS units - or maybe it was paranormal???????
Yes the body of the woman was found about 10 years ago (I seem to recall she was a prostitute from Port Kembla) and story of the headless corpse from the 1960's was enough to scare the bejesus out of people thereby encouraging them to use the local bus at night.

I don't know what was going on - interferrance?/bad GPS signal? but we had 2 GPS units, and we were getting strange readings. Despite checking our input coords, we were getting varied answers - up to 40m apart! Gave up, deciding we didn't really know where to look.
A pleasant stroll along the path lead us easily to both waypoints. Cache quickly located and log signed.

Found it without too much trouble. Left Singapore coin in memory of my brothers supposed Greek Island cruise. He got as far as Singapore and then spent two weeks in Singapore General Hospital with what was eventually diagnosed as an abnormal presentation of chicken pox.
About the ghosties, there was a body found around here, but far more interesting is the legend of the headless ghost which I think was supposedly seen only late at night, across the road by the driveway to Dunmore House which overlooks the forest. My Mum always said it was was made up by a local bus company who wanted to stop doing the late night run to Kiama. I'm sure there have been stories in the Mercury about it, no idea when though.
Watch out for STINGING NETTLES, they are everywhere.
