Out with a fish and a starfish on a lovely Tuesday Trekking.
The trio trekked to a point, they were stopped by a gate with Private Property.
Plus a recently refurbished fence.
A call to the CO,and another route was sought.
So we trekked to the next point, still more fencing .
So we trekked into the area, found the cache and retrieved it for the CO. tftc

CP & I were doing some of the Riesling trail so we came for a look
We came, we looked, we left shaking our heads, unsure of how to access the area which looks like private property
Thanks for the short walk Freddo the Frog

After we finished the Rattler trail we headed of into Clare to clean up a few caches in there, as i aproached GZ suddenly the ground started disappearing, where are you taking me frog ? all of a sudden i have to go where ? i made my way down to GZ and i even spotted the cache before the decent, this is a terrain of 2 hmmmm maybe just a tad more than that lol, soon had cache in hand and now to get out of here, well it was easier to get out than in there. TFTC

Checked Google earth for the easy route in at the base of the hill. Found the cache and continued on up and out. I thought it would be more difficult than it was, even the dog managed the climb unassisted. Nice artwork away from prying eyes. TFTC. Cheers
Nice hide, enjoyed the adventure of the find. Thanks for bringing me here. TFTC
Found It!
Finally I can say I've found this cache! Much closer to the top than where Freddo tells me it is. Although the coords are pretty much spot on. So what were they doing here???

Wow! Who knew?! What a spot! I entered from a less than optimal direction but managed to make the find easily. Then, despite the warnings of a dozen sheep carcasses, I decided to scale the northern wall for a better view. Damn that was fun! Still pumped! Definite favorite vote from me! TFTC!
This is our final caching day in the Clare Region.
The cache was quickly found by geo hubby, sent him up to get the hard one while I did a closer one
Thanks Freddo

Our second cache on a walk around town. A detour from the rail trail. Nice view and love the art work. TFTC.
Even after calling the frog helpline I still couldn't find it. But somehow someone else did today?
Thanks for the scenic walk Lucky I sent geo hubby down. What a great view. There are so many water sources in and around clare its rather amazing
Found whilst "mopping up" after the June Long Weekend event. There are so many caches, we didn't have time to do many regular ones during the weekend, so today was another relaxing day and of course we had to find a few.
This was our RunCount0th cache in our caching run today - and we found it at around 12:51.
(So this is our 43460th total find.)
A nice easy find, but We don't think we came in from the correct direction. We climbed over a closed gate and strolled to the cache easily enough though.
Took: Nothing
Left: Nothing
Thanks Freddo for the hunt today.

Fresh from completing the recovery ride, I thought I'd go back to near the start and find this one. Not really knowing what to expect, I was surprised to find myself peering over the top of a steep rock face, with locus cache at the bottom. I made my way down, and we discussed the likely hiding places. I was halfway up, and a bit worried that I'd need to go out there, where it looks like someone's been digging. So to procrastinate, I tried looking in another nook nearby the rug, and found some paint rollers - wait a moment, there was something about that in previous logs... and here's the cache!
I tossed it down to locus cache to sign, and realised that was a bad idea when I heard the crunching sound it made on the rocks. It now has a new container, courtesy of locus cache, and I got to go up again to replace it .
Frankly my dear, the importance of being Earnest is not being Freddo.
TNLN - Thanks Freddo!

Freddo, you have some doozy caches
This seemed like it would be a nice cache.
Two star terrain, lovely day, bushwalk involved and a good view from the northern end: all components of a great cache!
I arrived at the northern end and GZ was 3m away from where I stood: with a catch, of course!!!
I hummed and ha-ed but eventually decided that, being on my own, I would take a walk to a different elevation and decide after that how best to get to GZ.
I was standing looking up at a chunk of rock and debating, while also looking at my mobile to ensure I had phone coverage in case I fell and needed to call for help, when a voice commented on the people you meet at caches.
Seemed the RT trail ride had been completed and now Winterdragon was also out to get a few caches.
Luckily for me, he ascended to the lofty heights and successfully locus cached. However an unexpected mishap saw the cache container meet an untimely demise so after a new container was sourced, the friendly dragon again ascended the slope and replaced the cache.
Thank you Winterdragon

didnt read any of the clues took 3 kids under 10 yrs with me they found it. Clare long weekend ride.
I was sure there were other cachers cars in the car park but no sign of the occupants. As I headed for this one I decided to go one way and was glad that I did, as when I got to GZ it was an easy matter to access and locate the cache. An interesting bit of geology here well worth the cache, thanks Freddo.
Whoa. What a climb. Certainly not one for wearing things and really glad I had my boots on!!

PS. Do NOT like the paintings at all.

I slighly more challenging cache than normal! The paint can, brush and rollers are still there along with the rug. Someone doing some renovations? Found the cache after a bit of a search. Took a lizard and left a dice. TFTC Freddo!
Mr Bushies2 went to hunt a few caches this afternoon after we settled down at Clare Caravan Park, found some tins of paint with brushes, a cloth in a small cave, saw some paintings on the rock wall, graffiti? Took a while before he found the cache. Thanks Freddo.
found while camping at the Clare caravan park with the family over the weekend! Had a great time !!! TFTC
Doing the rail trail by bike....have been wanting to do this for a while & it was good to see a nice series of cache's for bike serious cache hunters!

Yep it is right under there.... the et al and I climbed gingerly and retrieved the cache. L Leather tag, took kookaburra. Considered our exit strategy and decided to return the way we came. TFDTC and the lovely setting.
Don't think we were quite in the right place couldn't get closer than 58m? Blame the trees and cloud cover!:(
Found an easier way up here and enjoyd the walk here good area

Its "Important to be Ernest"...someone has to do it.....
maybe the cache could have been a "Handbag"
Came in from the Top, not so slippery today, snakey maybe, did the Geocaching Stomp on the way in and out.

I can see why it is recommended not to do this at night. I thought I was in Kings Canyon for a sec. A little bit slippery on the way up, and kept going to the top after logging at 5pm.

Found on a day out in the Clare Valley. Approached GZ from above and... Woah! Climbed down into the quarry after signing the log to see a small fire. Looks like I walked into someone's campsite.
A nice stroll up the hill to GZ. Yes, do not attempt this one at night or with young children, its too dangerous!! [:o]
Great location thou, loved it. Located GZ only to find I had lost my pen. [:(!] Lets try inside the cache. Doh! Nothing in here either, glad I had my stickers with me.

Wear sturdy shoes and long pants, and don't try it when it's raining. Took peg and left kookaburra
Interesting one... Hubby in thongs, mum in dress and pretty shoes - probably not such a good idea...
Wear boots, long pants and be prepared for some climbing. DO NOT TAKE KIDS - unless u don't really like them.

Now this is a great one for those scared of heights!
Try crawling near the northern edge to take a pic - Eeeeeeeh splat!
Love this sort of cache - a bit of adrenaline always helps clear the capillaries!
L: Religious Bracelet
T: Love heart
Now we know where all the rocks come from.
Perhaps this is where Br Sadler got killed by a flying fragment of rock during a quarry blast in 1865 - The first Jesuit to be buried in the Crypt at St Aloysius Sevenhill. (Our Lady GCXDEZ)

Need toilet, phone's ringing, I'm caught
Half way up a cliff
Found it in a jiff
Took the call, and just kept dry my shorts

Didn't really read up too much on this one so were suitably impressed when we approached on a bee line from pink.
A few poor sheep hadn't read the warning about caching at night and were in a sorry heap at the base of the northern end.

After just spending an unproductive hour looking for "In the Pink", we though we'd give this one a go. Surely it would be easy!!! Wow, what an amazing place. The Golf Guru was sent to retrieve this one. What a great hide. TFTC.
Since we were running out of caches in Clare to do, we needed to get this one off the list. Thankfully the rain held out until later in the day, and so we were able to have a nice drive around without getting too wet.
Only a short but rather up hill stroll from the car. Nothing like a heart starter on a Sunday morning. A rather decent hole to top it off!

Found it in the rain , which made the retrieval a bit more exciting and challenging than it should be. Impressive hole. Thx Freddo for the cache and tour.
Approaching from the old Clare station site, the fence and locked gate seemed to hit the "Private Property" button but it all seemed to fit the co-ordinates so I accepted that it was a park and wandered in.
Wow!! Wouldn't like to be doing this one after a decent session exploring the local district's produce! What a fabulous hole in the ground!! Any wombat would be proud of it!!
The cache was located without difficulty and views from the North and South ends recorded. Made no exchanges. It would be interesting to know a bit about the history of the feature but I couldn't find an information board on site so I'll just have to be satisfied with my own impressions. I enjoyed this cache. Many thanks Freddo the Frog.

Wow, they must have been big wombats to leave such a big hole in the ground. Had to go down to the cache twice, first time was to find it, the second was because there was no scribble stick in the cache (or one that I could find) and my pen wasin the back pack at the top of the hill. Who needs the exercise? Thansk Freddo.
This cache was found while riding a mountian bike 900kms over two weeks from Adealide to Blinman along the Mawson Trail.

Found this one while walking the nearby Reisling Trail. Didn't log it as found since we didn't sign the log - No pen with us, just the trusty Oregon 300. We didn't really intend to go caching (obviously), but you know how it is. Have now got another excuse to visit Clare again. Another hide one in those places you wouldn't even know existed. Make sure you heed the warnings! TNLNSL.TFTC
