Unfortunately, this cache has been completely destroyed by fire. As I am shortly moving to a different town, I wont be able to maintain a cache in this location, so with regret, I must bid it farewell. Thanks for those who have watched and found it.

Found this site today, but alas a recent fire through the area beat us. Cache has been destroyed. Photographic evidence available if required.
Nice views all the same. Cheers

We went out today to check out the overflowing spillway, after the continuing heavy rainfall events over the last few weeks. Those that have found the cache would probably be surprised to know the water level is currently about 3 metres below cache level, with almost 3 metres of water currently going over the spillway. Cache is all OK.

I suspect that the vegetation has grown a fair bit since the cache was first placed,
as it's a bit scary wading through to the GZ knowing what could be living in the grass!
Really good cache though with plenty of goodies inside.
Took dinosaur toy, left Tazos, Sea Shells and a Tiki figure.
After, explored the area and the Dam - very enjoyable, thanks Bundyrumandcoke.

Armed ourselves with an anti-lethal crittur weapon (still snake shy) and waded into the grass. Thanks to the passage left by the last cachers it was an easy find. Last one for our Aussie trip. Thanks Bundy, enjoyed your caches again.
Found this one after a little walk in the long grass... Got bitten by some WASPS for my trouble!

Really feel that this cache needs looking into. Grass as high as and the area near the road is squashed and destroyed. Weren't game to investigate further off the road..
A quick find at a great location. Been meaning to come out here and see what it was like and I am glad we finally did.
A spot of fishing was in order - had a few bites but no fishies for us today. In fact the locals were having trouble too.
Cheers and thanks for the cache

Found with geoparents on tow. Nice locaton and easy to find. I am surprised that there aren't anymore in this area its such a lovely spot. TN L 1 x Tb. Thanks for another cache bundy : )
out to the dam for a sunday splash and a quick cache found with Captain Terror and geo_muppet
Ah, another easy Bundy cache to make up for the swearing over his hard to find caches. It is a great view over Awoonga dam. There were lots of muggles out on the water judging by the number of cars parked on the boat ramp. Grabbed both of the T.B.s for our forthcoming move to North Queensland and grabbed the red matchbox car. Left the signature keyring. Thanks Bundy for this cache.
Nice hide.........
Dropped off my first TB (Fishing Lure) thought it was an appropriate place to start it!

My humbliest apologies to those who have had trackables listed in this cache. It seems strange that the cache is still in good condition, yet all the trackables have disappeared. I dont know what has happened, and why I havent listed them as missing prior to this.

Out and about today and saw this come up on the screen. Quick find and bug drop.
Driving back to Rocky from a daytrip to Gladstone so stopped by to check out the dam. Awesome spot!!! Cache was found relatively easily. As previously reported none of the TBs/geocoins are currently in residence. TFTC! 11

What a great view from here. I was disappointed to find that all of the items registered in the inventory are no longer in the Tube. Does this mean that people arn't doing the right thing?
Been meaning to do this one for ages. We thought that midweek it would be quite but the boat ramp car park was full

Found this one with Abseilqld and Jimw83 whilst at a camp at Awonga Dam. The cache was very easy to find. The view was pretty good and the nearby boat ramp was very busy.

Couldn't resist another find before landing home from a trip up north. Lovely lake with great views from GZ. Swapped Customs keyring for a Palm Hand keyring. Dropped off 2 geocoins, hope they don't stay for too long. No sign of UD Flyer TB in cache. TFTC and bringing me here, Bundy.
We found this one quiet easily, great view of the dam. Lots of goodies in it but no travel bug!! We took some shoelaces and left NZ 20 cent coin.
Went out with another bloke from the local 4WD club. Just starting the GeoCaching thing so had a couple of not founds.
Mainly teaching co-pilot electronic navigation using the laptop and PDA in the car for some events coming up this year.
Anyway, first to find for the year, and an easy one to start off with.
TFTC, TNLN.

PS. Log is still in good nick and has lots of goodies in it. Good to see the club's card on the first page.

Cache found with no difficulty - approach was made interesting by not having all roads on the street navigator. Beautiful location, thanks for showing it to us, Bundy!
Went out for a ski/wake and after a few stacks and a lot of fun, decided to drop in on this on. It certainly looks as if it hadn't been disturbed for quite a while, but none-the-less a relatively easy find and a great arvo at the dam.
Seeing as no-one has been out here for about 2 months, I've taken Piglets Geocaching Adventure TravelBug and I'll place him in a slightly more trafficked cache - and to catch some more good views of Gladstone and the roos.

Got all excited, checking up on the veritable feast of trackables still in house here during the week, before giving myself an early mark from school and getting out this arve.
Found the cache real easy, started digging through the bits and pieces in the cache...they've got to be here somewhere...check the log...and the Dusty Pair from Bundy beat me to it. Dangnabit! Oh well. Left Piglet to continue his journey to Germany from here and headed home with tail between my legs.

What a great spot. We knew the lake was there but didn't realise how lovely the area was. Lots of places to sit and enjoy the view or have a BBQ. Took 3 TB's - fish, diabetes and canadian. Left nothing as geowife left the trinkets at home instead of bringing them.
AHH a nice easy one to start the day. We are caching all the way home after an archery comp just up the road from this one. Cache is looking good and so are the views.

A stunning location especially on this perfect autumn day. The dam looked most impressive with the last rays of the sun disappearing behind the mountains and casting long golden shadows on the water. We stayed at the nearby caravan park but the cache location is also caravan friendly which is why we left the Trakmaster travel bug there. Thanks Bundyrumandcoke.
Nice little cache with a great view. On the way home we stopped for lunch at the coffee shop (or what have you) overlooking the dam and had a good lunch. Well worth the detour if you're out that way at lunch.
found this one with nelliehope. Took nothing..left nothing.
Had lunch here and I think this is where I got eaten with sandflies.
Had lunch here and I think this is where I got eaten with sandflies.
Never been here before and holy crackers there are a lot of people out and about with their boats and camping. Found easy thanx to clues through the long grass which supplied us with good hiding from muggles just down from us fishing off the bank. Hope to see more large cache's out there so you can put more in them. Found 10:20am with ausbettsee47 and the geoferal kids
Nice hide, nice view, last time we were here was 2 years ago.
Thanks for the cache, and bringing us back.
Took the bikini TB
Left a spiffy VW Bug TB that we brought back with us from brissy.

We have previously visited this location but it is still an impressive site. There were a lot of boats out and about on the water so we watched them cruising around the dam while we signed the log. TNLNSL but we did drop off TB Bikini Bottom as we thought this was a perfect spot for it to relax by the water.
I have this coin I will be taking it further north soon (this weekend hopefully) I keep on forgetting to log my caches on here, but i have now logged the coin. Sorry about the batteries in the torch that was me
After checking another cache, I came down to check this one, and to check for the apparently missing geocoin. Perhaps it had been dropped in the vacinity. Removed the leaking batteries from the torch. Grabbed the Xmas bells to relocate them into another more appropriate cache of mine. Also grabbed Nolans Neopet TB and 2006 Geocoin. Alas, a thorough checking of the cache and surrounds didnt reveal the missing geocoin. So I will mark it as missing.
A nice easy cache in a great location. We stopped off to grab this one on our way south. We wanted to pick up Ruzzelz GeoCoin, but we couldn't find it.
We left a superball and took a toy rat. We also dropped off a TB and a GeoCoin.
Hope the missing GeoCoin turns up somewhere!
Thanks for the cache.
