This cache has survived an alternative lifestyle festival and an army exercise that still shows vehicle tracks about a metre from where it was hidden.
Unfortunately, it seems to have succumbed to muggles in the last few days...
We will be out there again next weekend, hoping that the person who took it away will return it.
Good thing - no trackable items were harmed in the life of this cache.

Very wet and muddy and we couldn't find it even though no one else was around! Which ponga tree? or was it just too cloudy? Will have to try another day.
First visit mid morning and stumbled across an NZ army exercise. Camouflaged vehicles and armed soldiers everywhere! As we decided discretion was the better option we beat a hasty retreat and returned mid afternoon. Lovely walk along the river bank but the track had been well churned up by the army vehicles. At least they hadn't disturbed the cache.
The army has made quite a mess of the track, so walked in. Area damp, lots of dogs and muggles but made find -well hidden until you spot it! -opener, +red glass pebble. TFTC.
Our 2nd find for the day (and ever). The dogs really enjoyed the wee walk

Found easily enough on a warm sunny saturday afternoon. No muggles about. Son left shell and took bouncy ball.

Easy find, what a great spot, although surprised no-one else there today even though it was a lovely day. Our 3rd find of 7 in this area today, TNLNSL, TFTC
Found it easily. We were able to drive right up to the cache, without worrying about falling into the river.

Found during our holiday from the UK. It was a pleasant walk from the parking spot. We wouldn't advise trying to drive right up to the cache as the river bank is giving way in places. Thanks for the cache.

19:56 Took the punt that most people would have left and I'm also delaying my exit onto the SH1 crawl. This is a park that needs further exploration. Hope to bring Boss (dog) here.

On the weekend of 28 and 29 January the Organic River Festival will be held right in this domain. There will be thousands of people from all around the country partaking in alternative, organic activities. Who said hippy-dom was dead?! In previous years we have scored some very yummy organic wines as well...
I was considering to disable the cache for a while - but then I thought some peole from far away might be planning to finally get this cache when the festival is on...
Be aware that there will be oodles of muggles. So, friends, in the immortal words of Sgt. Esterhaus: "Be careful out there!"

Great camping area and quite a lot of campers enjoying it, one lot with a big log fire going right beside the "Total Fire Ban" sign.
TNLNSL, many thanks for the cache

As we drove closer we met many vehicles leaving but there were many many left so we turned round and it will have to wait for another time.
Drove straight to the cache, took me a while to find it though! Weather was starting to get depressing so we scurried away quickly.
- Dolphin 'thing'
+ Bouncy ball
Cheers,

Drove right along the track to the cache, had to search in several likely spots but spotted it easily when we picked the right place.
Took Bike TB and stamp.
Left pingpong ball... Think we forgot to sign our name.
A very strange cloudy day, thick grey haze everywhere.

Aha... so it's a hat trick to the Turtle. Three first-to-finds on 0paco0's first 3 caches. This must warrant commemoration in some way, now how might that be?
On a glorious fine and sunny Sunday afternoon (and that's been a rare event these past few months), the Sweet Pea and I venture out and hunt down the KK in Levin. After a pleasant drive in the country and some brief exploration of the organic reserve we got down to the business. A stroll along a muddy laneway, pinpoint accuracy with coordinates and a sixth sense for where the bearded one might sneak the hide, and snap, we were on it in a flash!
A very pleasant spot with river views, not overly muggled, and friendly for the doggies, I commend the placement of this the third of 0paco0's hides, and urge you to visit soonest.
TFTC, and of course I signed the log, FTF, yeeha!
The Turtle strikes again!
- spies identity kit
+ dolphin dinosaur
also released from captivity a geocoin and a racing car that has pretensions about travelling to the Monaco Grand Prix....mmmmm....!!
