Logs
As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, or it's been a number of months since the last owner note. I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it. Should you replace the cache after 30 days has passed please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.
Decided to do some cache hunting on my pjarma day decided to head to get the 3 around jondaryn. Got to this one and I'm with Scottbrushe and think the GZ has be removed, there were some witches hats around the spot!! Oh well hopefully the cache owner might put one back in a spot near by!!
Cache and item it was on have been removed. Hopefully it will be returned soon and a new cache placed.
Vivisting my home town of Oakey. It's been a long time since I've been to Jondaryan... Since the 70s.

I love seeing old relics. While I can't fathom war, I love to hear stories of exceptional bravery, humour and just a great yarn. I wonder how many stories this old gun could tell? TFTC. Log could tidied up perhaps.
Easy find. Thanks for this wouldnt have stopped and seen this if it wasnt for the cache Great to get another under the belt, and doing it on the way back he from Chinchilla made it so special
A new log book would be awesome this ones a little too unloved. Didnt get to write in it as I only had eyeliner handy

The Crookedclan was travelling to Dalby today for our daughters gymnastic competition. We conveniantly left home a little earlier than needed so we could stop and collect a few caches on the way.
After roadworks prevented us from stopping at the nearby Mt Blackall, we stopped here to grab this one. I normally have a lot of trouble on these things, so I was certainly a little gun shy when I started my search. However, I quickly turned up the cache. Log signed and down the highway we go.
Thanks Witchpig.

Heading back to Toowoomba, we stopped to use the facilities, a quick search unveiled a cache not too far away, BONUS!!! Quick find and on the road again.

On a road trip of a different kind to the one I had at the beginning of the month, but in the same area. This time LadySim accompanied me on the way to Dalby from Brisbane on an emergency dash. Once we had worked out a rendezvous point with goddaughter we knew we had a few spare minutes to pick up a few caches along the way.
I groaned out loud as I approached GZ as I have wasted far to much of my life looking around these monstrosities looking for caches. Fortunately the hint had me a find in fifteen seconds flat....thank you solo much!
Back to the car with LadySim for the sign. Log and cache in good order. Thanks again WitchPig!

On a road trip toady with Swellerfungus in LadySim's Chariot. As the name suggests it was a large structure needing to be searched. Swellerfungus decided to use the hint and make it easy. Cache found and log signed.
Thanks for the hide WitchPig

While up in Toowoomba visiting a friend, I found myself with a spare couple of hours before needing to pick up another friend and heading home to Brisbane. What better idea than a small road trip, and I think I'll head out to Jondaryan There's 4 caches in a neat little bunch right there [^]
Stop number three, and I hadn't really thought about the title Silly me! These things can take ages to search, so I was a bit worried as I approached, but it was a very quick find, in the first place I looked Phew! TFTC, and for showing me the park, WitchPig.

Quick, easy spot and yet again retrieval was up to me because of the possible local inhabitants! TFTC
Easy find on our way to Dalby. Follow instructions for an easy find. Don't be scared to get cobwebs on your hand.
Usually our least favourite type of find but the excellent clue led us straight to this one. Thanks.
A quick find.TFTC

Nice quick find en-route to Brisbane. Log damp as noted, but not disintegrating. TFTC.
Nice old gun needs a paint but enjoyed the look around it.. Log is alittle wet but still able to sign it.. TFTC..
Having got the Friday off work, we chose to make a four-day weekend out of ANZAC Day and head West. With the plan to catch up on a couple Caches in the Bunya Mountians, we chose the Jondaryan Woolshed to camp at and circle out from there. Trouble was, there were too many around here to be focussed.
Nice little hidy hole on this one.

found it. The log sheet was wet so replaced with a sheet of paper in a plastic bag

Stopped for petrol after visiting Jondaryn wool shed for the day. Best things were the sheep shearing and sheep dog demo. Thank goodness for the clue or I would have been searching for ages, although the fact that many other hollows were blocked by cobwebs may have also given it away. Muggle roadworker nearby probably wondering why I was so interested in inspecting the gun so closely. Log a bit damp. #180 tftc
Thankfully this cache came to hand way quicker than some others I have looked for on these devices

Thanks WitchPig
Found quite easy, was a sneaky challenge, was with some work mates that didn't even realise what I was up to.

Geokids found this one, 1st for the day, geomum gone shopping, Geodad and car full of geokids spending day geocachering, stayed for awhile for geokids to play on gun, I think they shoot down a few planes. Nice easy one for geokids.
Spiderwebs everywhere! I'll definitely use a stick next time, sticking your hand into dark recesses and resting in a big web clump is not for the squeamish! Great bit of history. TFTC WitchPig.
A few muggles about but they soon disappeared. Xusia was having lunch at a nearby playground and knew what we were up to as he'd found this one in '07. Nice to meet him and the girls. TFTC.
Have stopped here many times myself over the years not knowing about Geocaching. Found container without drama and quickly signed the log. TFTC WitchPig
Visiting the woolshed - feeding the animals, cooking damper, and generally absorbing the history of the woolshed. Cache found by son No 2 in the large Canadian made gun.
Have been past here many times ,today we were on a caching run around the downs so this was our first find for the day. TFTC Witchpig
Road tripping to dalby town with Sez28 on international geocaching day & hoping to both reach 100 finds!! Tftc

Quickest gun we have ever competed. Including the fact that there was a massive truck parked right there but they were to keen on checking their tyres. LOL
These hides can give us a bit of trouble but we found this one quickly even with some mechanics working on a big truck right next to us. Thanks WitchPig
A quick find on our way north. Thanks for gettting us to stop & rest WitchPig.

A muggle arrived to look at gun just as I was putting the cache back. I had to seem interested and chat about the gun seeing as I had spent such a long time looking over it with such fine detail. I think I passed myself off as a gun enthusiast quite nicely - especially as I know nothing about them.... TFTC and showing us this piece of history...eatmorchikin & Stigglepot.
Found reasonably quickly. Sat on the edge of the garden bed to sign when a man on motorbike pulled up and started eating his morning tea nearby. Hmmm...no chance of returning it til he's gone. Grabbed some morning tea ourselves and practically sat on the gun waiting for an opportunity for a swift replacement. Grrr...Come on mate...you are wasting precious caching time! Finally, on to the next one.
Played the part of the tourist taking pictures whilst we looked for this one as there were a couple of muggles about.

A quick stop for fuel and a recharge. I suggested to my muggle colleague that the park would be a good place to eat our sandwiches and stretch the legs.
He is talking away when I disappear behind the gun and emerge with a container asking to use his pen. The jig was up then! The ensuing caching conversation gave us something to talk about on the drive back to Brisbane!!
A quick find and the clues were spot on. TFTC!!!

Guns like this on can, at times be quite tricky. Lucky for us we were able to locate the cache quite quickly. Thanks for helping to break up our trip.
Witchpig -why are your caches so easy to find . Was in plain view. Found with palbp. Thank
Good cache for the family 10 yo son more interested in defending the line then finding the treasure. TFTC
Three chin waggers standing beside the gun chatting when we arrived at 1500, so we crossed the road to the picnic table and had a cuppa and a nap waiting for them to finish. When they finally finished at ~1530, the cache was quickly in hand, logged, and we were on our way again. This was the second example of this machine we examined in two days! TFTC.
Up on the range visiting my GeoMum for Xmas
Thought I'd pop out this way to grab a few caches.
O no another gun cache, I'm not good at these. But here goes...and I found it fairly quickly too.
Great hide and the cache is in good condition.
