No response from owner. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary. Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 30 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.
Googirl and I found it in the same sodden state as others have noted. Part of the problem is that the cache was open-top upwards, catching all the rain. I replaced it top-down, hoping it would dry that way. The log is so wet it is not going to fall out. I recorded our find on a new piece of paper I stuffed in wrapped in plastic Googirl found nearby.
This was our second try for this cache. This time we had no problem finding it, but it was not possible to sign the log. The contents were completeley soaked, due to the cache missing its lid. The loog book was more in the shape of pulp than paper.
Suggest the owner to repair the cache and replace the log book.
Suggest the owner to repair the cache and replace the log book.
Since the owner does not seem to care about all notes about the cache needing replacement, the cache should be archived. Part of the geocaching trade is to sign the log book in the caches, but nobody has been able to do it for ages due to the state of this cache.
found it very easily, could not sign log as it had no lid on cache and log was all wet, needs replacing
cheers

We made the find quickly. The log was wet and the cache needs maintenance. TFTC

Reperio at 1200. Well...I'm pretty certain I came from the wrong access point to reach GZ, as I ended up down the back corridor of the nearby buildings, jumping over the hedge fence. A quick look and cache was found, but the log is pretty much ruined, and the cache container has no lid on it. Nice little history lesson.
Gratias.
Gratias.
Found it! But is in need of desparate repair as log is sodden - looks like the lid has been removed.
Just wanted to let you know that this one needs help. Unfortunately, we didn't have our supplies with us today. It looks like the lid or cap is missing and the recent rain has reduced log to a sodden mess.
Enjoyed a stroll along the river - TFTC

not many muggles around so I got to gz easly and had a look around decided I knew where the hide would be and checked several spots with no luck. Checked the details again and I was on the right track. checked another two and cache was uncovered. signed and returned agter the muggles passed.

Sneaky hide and tricky to get with the old guy working right at the bench in front of the window, directly facing the cache. Had to wait for him to leave to both get and return the cache.

found on a country excursion with greeneyedalikat creepy old man staring o_O.
as previously mentioned, log is full, luckily had a small scrap of paper to make our own temporary solution.

when I found it i looked up and saw a man staring at me from his window, he definitely saw it. I'm going to check if it's been removed sometime next week. Also the log was so full I could barely squeeze my name in. TFTC
Just a short lunchtime walk from work, had no trouble locating after a short look around, but had trouble putting it back. Didn't just have plain muggles to contend with, had to dodge the muggle-police. (Who didn't suspect a thing)...
Nice hide. Did use hint so found it pretty quickly. Only muggles were over the other side of the river.
Well hid but took a while to remove from hide ...was caught up on a screw...had to watch out for a man watching out of his window.....Log is full and needs to be replaced.
A quick find after we worked out how to get out of the mall, had a yummy lunch at Ken's Kitchen after we logged this cache SL TNLN TFTH
A nice and easy find, with not very many muggles about, found just before having lunch. Found during Rudi63 and the Walenators assualt on a "Everything North of Sydney" caching weekend TFTH....SL...TNLN

Found at 12.50pm GAFF1. We loved the view along the walk by the river and the cafe, however not so impressed with the rubbishy backyards or the other buildings along the way. It was interesting to note the story about the shark attack around 1830. Wonder if sharks still come up this far.
Thanks Team Yota - we loved the hide very well done

a well built and a well camoflaged micro in muggle central. loved it. I would never have found it without the clue. I have done one like this where the cache had to be phisically extracted with a rather long arm between some rather dangerous looking spiders. No such difficulty here. thankyou for the effort that you put in here team Yota, cache for thank you, yes, mmm.
Great work with this one, second visit to find. Very good hide, like the work done.
On our way home from an overnight stay and a 30th birthday party. Decided to do a couple of caches on the way.
Like the hide. Kept us guessing for a couple of minutes till Geowife remembered the clue.

Thought I was being clever going after hours to avoid the muggle population that frequent this area. Turns out after hours is when everyone is out running and enjoying the river walk. Had to wait a while until everyone was looking the other way, then the same when returning it. Quite a good hide, clearly a bit of effort put into this one. TFTC!
Was told about this one, so thought we would give it a go whilst we where in the area. TFTC
Parking difficult when we arrived so I legged it and soon made a sneaky find, nice work Thanks for the cache, off course back out at the car there was more proffessional driving from our chauffer, just stopped in the middle of a loading zone??? Well I guess he was loading up in a manner of speaking
Another relatively quick find. Nowonder they worry about floods with the river literally running through the town. TFTC
Luckily no muggles around whilst I was searching.
Easily found.........not many options in this area!!

This is really well done very rewarding find right in front of window so use stealth
Found the only fence which could have had any end gaps, 10-15 meters off the coordinates.
No end caps on the fence, the whole construction seemed to be held together by duct tape.

After a few DNFs today-this was found easily...so we treated ourselves to Ice Cream at the nearby Cafe-YUM!!!

Great thinking...had to wait till man in window wasn't watching ...loved the container too
Some guy was looking at us from his window at gz for 30 minutes while we searched for this one with no luck.
Went back with Dimand and his GPS just to be certain. There are a couple of fence post caps missing at GZ, so I suspect this one is gone
Searched for a while earlier in the day, but gave up and came back later for a more thorough search. Still couldn't find it with three of us looking
Very well hidden. We searched for ages. Ended up having to walk back to the car and read the clue. Found it easily with the help of the clue.
Stopped for a bite to eat at a nearby cafe so a short walk to aid digestion was a great idea. Wasn't man muggles about so it didn't take long for geo-wife to find this one. Well thought out hide. TFTC Team Yota. [C139].
Found this one on a days caching with The-Don and one of TheWobblys.
This is a beautiful spot on the river. It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon.
People were fishing on the opposite bank of the river, don't know if they caught much but they would have had a very pleasant afternoon.
Thanks Yota.

we parked near the main street and quickly found we where faced some immovable objects , commonly called shops, ahh a side alley oohh a fence so close allay-oop now I can start the seach but first a little reading of local foke lore.. sharks and boats ... ah the gold ole days... and nice sounding twirly things... great little walk, now back to business found with Tankengine, Tealby and Sol on our Invasion weekend from Canberra only took two attempts by sol to find the cache.
Part of our Newcastle/Port Stephens invasion from Canberra...
Beautiful little walk, lovely river! Maitland is a lovely spot!

A lovely spot to go for a walk after finding the correct access point - we headed down a blind alley at first, but that did not deter mtrax! Found the cache pretty quickly, so spent some time enjoying the location & reading the shark tales - incredible! TFTC - did the loop to return to our geo-mobile.
Found as part of the Canberra Invasion to Newcastle/Nelsons Bay/Port Stephens and surrounding areas with Tealby, Tankengine and Mtrax. This one was day one and with our over night accommodation at Raymond Terrace, we hit Maitland on the way through.
Agree with the others here, a great little walk with lots of information and a cache. But really, did the shark thing really happen????

Despite it being Fathers' Day there were not too many muggles about and once we arrived at the co-ordinates we were quickly able to locate the cache. A very clever hide - nice to see the effort that went into hiding it. The log is full and needs to be replaced. We added a scap of paper that we had, but it needs something better. TNLNSL
yay found it. not many muggles around easy find. TFTC! Need new log we took the last available space.
Not many muggles around today so this wasn't too difficult. We have a few of this type back home so this made for a relatively easy find. Great grass hill supplied for signing hte log as well - Thanks .

A nice wee find at dusk, with few muggle problems near dinnertime on a Sunday Cheers Gav [4031]
Very well constructed, great cache, thank you , needs new paper log as the old piece is full! [|)]
Another find for the Tablelands Cachers (TC's) on their Hunter to the coast spree. Nice to see the energetic ones out walking.
no more room on the log sheet and a hard find in the end. not so near where our gps said. but at least it was just a stroll from our house. nicely hidden. thx.
Found at 14:55 - the eighth of my day's caching around Maitland with Gibbo McCool.
This part of Maitland is always nice to visit. No stealth needed today though, as there were no muggles about. Quickly grabbed the cache, signed the log, and we were away again.
Thanks Team Yota

Had a coffee and an extremely nice Banana / Caramel cake from the coffee shop in the alley.
Been here many a time without knowing there was a cache so near.

On a road trip to Armidale and stop for a couple of caches. Searched for about 20 minutes without success. We did raise the looks of council cleaners and an man in his workshop. Oh well..
Man this was tricky and fun.
Enjoyed this a lot.

After an absolutely huge plate of food for dinner at the nearby pub, we went for a walk to burn off some calories. After waiting out a few drunken locals heading back towards the same establishment we had just left, mr bloopy went almost straight to it. Nifty little hide and a nice night stroll.
Lovely area of Maitland. The Hunter is up somewhat after the rain over the last couple of days. Yep I'm gunna say it too...the log reeeeally needs replacing now. I found a blank space though and signed.

Second time looking for this one. Was out by about 5 metres the first time, damn it. Got wet this time too. Nice hide. Found @ 1035.
BTW, might be worth continually checking on this one, most of the 'hiding places' are being stolen, if you get my meaning.
Also the log is full, might be worth some new paper.
