After 4 years of many successful finds, this cache has gone to cache heaven. The original cache was to bring people here to enjoy the giant slide that has since been removed. So we will archive this cache and ponder a new one nearby. Cheers Quilter
Hi Fairly Magic
I have been meaning to contact you for a while now.
Several weeks ago I checked up on the old cache and noticed its location was starting to deteriorate, so I tried to cover it up the best I could.
The next time I went down there it had disappeared, presumed Muggled.
I ran into the Cachers from Darwin and immediately knew what they were looking for. I informed them where it used to be and that it had either been muggled or moved.
As someone mentioned earlier there has been some workman doing some clean up and conversation work in the area.
I hope you can put another one in that area, this one was one of my first’s and a personal favourite.

On holidays from Darwin and wanted to show geo-son what we get up to for fun in the tropics but not to be on this occassion. Another geo-cacher came past who had previously found this one so it looks like it might have gone to muggle heaven!
Had a really good look around, but couldn't find this one. Not even redtag could help!
Visited today to track it down and narrowed it down to a small area but there were too many council workers planting trees and mowing lawns to get too close. Will visit again for a better look.
Another one with Stumbleduponit and kids. This was an interesting find and was found when tripped over!! Best find yet! TN Left Frisbee.
We had lunch in the Park...mmmmm yum hot chips. Then headed off for a walk. Cache was found without too much difficulty. Thanks heaps!
2nd 4 the day. Done with NQ. Found again by the jnr's after one fell over and spotted it. TN Left Keyring. T4TC
In the first place I looked, though I didn't look very well the first time, so I then spent 5 minutes looking elsewhere before doing it properly!

Our second find for the morning. The GPS went a little crazy but after doing some searching we located the caches hiding spot. Signed the log, rehide the cache and up the hill we went. TFTC!
On entering the park we were tempted to be misled by the title of the cache. Thankfully, we showed faith in out GPS and we were led straight to GZ. TFTC
Cache a little exposed as plant hiding it is dead. Tried to cover it with leaf litter. TNLN Thanks
quick easy find in a nice little park... on approach I seen those steps and thought I hope not.... and we didn't ...... plant hiding cache is looking a little worse for wear (dead?).... if they remove it the cache might disappear, not sure if its a seasonal plant or what but thought it worth a mention....
cheers 4 da cache Fairly Magic!

Yay thanks to a hint we finally found it.
I do not know how many times I must have passed it on the previous searches.
No muggles around.
Made sure it was covered up
Left Cat rubber and took Resus Kit

Great one! Added a resucitation kit and first aid card. Took bouncy ball. It's raining at the moment, but not as wet as we could have been if we went too far from this cache.
First ever cache. Thanks to a friend Im basically the chauffer for two very young explorers.
Kicked the container by accident... . Glad this one was hidden far enough away not to have to worry about the picnicking family. TFTC
After a bit of a search and a number of cuts from searching the high side by mistake I managed to find this great cache
Thank you
Thank you
Second of four for the afternoon and found after meeting Fairly Magic at the GTI meeting. Congrats. on the job!! Took Agfest 2008 disc and left soldier. TFTC
Gps placed us right in the middle of the grassy area between the creek and high bank. There is a rock monument right beside us. This is quite a distance from the slides old location. Am still unsure as to the accuracy of both iPhone GPS's.
It has been extremely wet for this time of year, wettest on record! As a result there is copious quantities of high grass. It is possibly hidden amongst undergrowth.

The GPS had us going in circles for a while but finally found this one. Swapped TB's. Thanks.
Pity about the slide - looks like it would have been fun. Nice easy find. Left a TB and toy car - took a screwdriver. TFTC
great spot for a cache but was devastated to find that slide had been removed though thanks
nice place and a nice easy find
pitty there was no slide for the mini cacher to play on

I sure have seen a number of caches hidden like this on my trip - ouch! I was interested to read the plaques on the memorial nearby, a beautiful tribute to loved ones. I noticed two had the same surname, relatives perhaps?
Anyhow, a great park for kids indeed!
Cheers,

Took me a while, and a re-read of the logs, but found it eventually.. was about to return it to it's home when a couple of school-uniformed muggles approached. Tried to act noncholant, reading my iphone, sitting on a tree branch, in the bush - nothing suss! They passed and the cache returned home.
Took ladybug, left screwdriver.
Thanks for the cache!

Quick drive by on our way into Hobart. Drizzling conditions but we located it none the less.

Found fairly quickly. I gather from reading previous logs that a slide was removed - would have been good fun.
8.30am
Found by Roma and Max.
This proved to be a very touching location, as we read the various plaques near GZ.
We made our find and left our mark in the log.
Thank you Fairly Magic for bringing us here.

Naturally we chose to park at the wrong side of the park and it started to rain whilst we were away . . . But. It is was a pleasant area that we ahdn’t visited before, so thanks for bringing us here. It’s a pity that the vandals couldn’t respect the memorial – makes us mad . . . T geocaching patch and geocoin L magnetic frog and lizard set. Thanks!
Took the kids for a play in the playground, so bagged this one while we were there. Thanks for the cache! TNLNSL.
This was a quiet damp excursion this morning across the dewy grass.
I passed the small memorial and soon had the cache.
Thanks TNLN

Last cache for the day. Mrs AKB123 was kept company by a very friendly dog while I searched for the cache. TN. Left Regions of Germany Geocoin. TFTC
We nearly headed off in the wrong direction thinking we knew where to go, once we sorted this out we were directed straight to the cache. We could not help but be moved by the memorial on the way, but finding the cache quickly soon had our spirits high again. This would be a great area for the kids to burn off some steam. We did not understand the meaning of this cache name until we got back to the car and read the previous logs

Last quick cache before heading back to an appointment in the city. Easy find besides the lady with a baby and the dog that "attacked" me. TFTH.
Found on the way to stay with friend in their cottage in the hills behind Ellendale. It was a cold night.

Ironically, the only find I can credit as mine tonight and it's the one where I almost poked my eye out LOL. Spent a while fumbling around in the trees before the cacher sense kicked in. Nice hide, TFTC
Found by Team Tarquin at 2.45pm. Took flashlight left Shrek. Our son (age 2) loved the playground including the large slide which he tumbled down rather than slid.
Found 14:50, a nice easy find in a very pleasant location.
TNLN, CSI=3, thanks Fairly Magic.

Steps! But no slide, either . We found an object of interest en route and stopped to examine it, before blithely traipsing off again in the same direction as before, but when we glanced at our GPSrs for confirmation of direction and distance we realised that we were there already. An interesting park; pity about the party-poopers who caused the demise of the really big slide. TNLN. Thanks for the cache.
I hate it when you find out about something cool AFTER it's gone! Nice park though, even without the big slide. Nice hide too! TFTC
Started off on the wrong side but soon fixed that. GPS then took a little while to settle and once it did the cache was an easy find. Nice park on a warming morning, thanks Fairly Magic for the cache. TNLN.
TFTC Easy find.
Picked up travel bug and intend dropping off further north on his destination to Brisy.
T; finger puppet and carved coral gift... thankyou johnboffin
L; party popper and pressed penny

The geokids were quite disappointed that the awesome slide had been removed by the council. The slope it used to be on looked very impressive. We left a travel bug here that wants to race to Brisbane if someone can help it. We could have as that's where we are from but as it only started racing a day or so ago that seemed too easy to MrsMadMyers. Found the cache easily. What a great hiding spot. The memorial stone is quite touching.
nice clean playground with a pretty stream running though it, can see why you like it Fairly Magic! Seem to remember a big slide on the bank many years ago but as the years role by I tend to not trust my memory as I once used to. TFTC Took cards Left red racing car.
We didn't know this park existed, surprisingly pleasant area. Gspblu and I walked up the wrong side of the creek at first, should have guessed and walked over the bridge in the first place. Thanks for the cache. TNLN
Another one in the dark with rebulus. Finaly he found one before me. TNLN Thanks Fairly Magic
Found at 1005 with Brian the Explorer while checking out Hobart for a day down from Launceston wher we were stay ing over the Jun long weekend form QLD good hide to a little time to find it.
Found 200705131616 . A couple of muggle youths were lurking in the park looking like they were up to no good but made a hasty retreat after I gave them a menacing look . I was then able to make an easy find of the cache and sit on the conveniently fallen tree nearby to write the log

Pretty quick find in a lovely park, first stop from Launceston for a night in Hobart. Took GC and left Kida Kumback TB. Thanks for bringing me here, Fairly Magic, and nice to meet you later in the evening.
Found on our way into town in another nice play area. Left carabiner and TB Coin and took toothbrush. Tnx for another play
Found easily second time around. Yesterday's attempt was cut short when the young 'un managed to sting himself on a mystery thistle (at the time he was wailing so much that I was sure it must've been a jack-jumper, but that seems unlikely given there was little or no swelling on his finger...).
Nice spot for a wee break. Kids had a mess around in park while caching thing was done.
Twenty-ninth of thirty-one finds on a very enjoyable day in Hobart, after parting company with Snuva's female slave. I parked, I followed the needle, and inevitably, I ended up on the wrong side of the creek (as usual). I backtracked, and found my way to GZ. I looked at the hiding place early in the search, but didn't search it properly. [B)] After failing to find it in other places, I returned to earlier spots, made a proper search, and found the cache at 2120. I made no exchange. Thanks to Fairly Magic for the cache. Cheers, dak.
Where'd the slide go? It was there last time I was here. GPSr had me right on the little monument and I started looking for a little magnetic thing or something before I remembered I was looking for something more regular.
Thought the fallen tree might have landed on it, but not so - found pretty easily. TNLNSL. Thanks Fairly Magic, finally got one of this series.

Easy find in a nice area.Lots of junior muggles playing cricket..but out of site.TNLNSL TFTC Cheers Fairly Magic.
Thought I'd stop and see if I could find this one on my way back in to Hobart. Liked the hiding spot. A largish tree, however, has fallen down right next to cache location(less than a metre away). I reckon maintenance people will be in to sort it out, I'm wondering if they're walking and working around there whether the cache is a bit "at risk" just at the timebeing. TN L toothbrush set. Thanks Fairly Magic.
It's the minicachers fourth birthday today, what better cache than one of the playground series. Nice location. Ran her ragged. didn't like the swaps so TNLNSL.

[Great find, well hidden, lots of muggles around, took nothing, left car, pen and ball.]
First for the day, holiday catchup time, and a friend of Snuva's standing guard over GZ. Thanks, this looks like a fun series FM, TNLNSLPD
Found this one when I was Mrs Cheesy Pig. I have struck out on my own and am now logging the caches I found in my previous persona (but not the ones found only by Mr Cheesy Pig of course)! Let me know if you would like me to find it and log it again but under my new name.
Yay Slide!!! I took the slide down after realising I didn't have this cache in my gps, a quick jog back to the car, and we were on the way to getting the cache, thanks.
Our first find in this series...really good fun. Both of us had a go on the equipment...very cool. Have to say the UFO in ulverstone is still superior...but its a close race.
TNLN Cheers!
TNLN Cheers!
Found this one in the company of Piglet, who was thrilled by the no traction element to this cache. Cache found easily, as was a silver bracelet - if anyone is missing one, let us know.
TNLN, except maybe something white and egg-shaped. Thanks TtE and Netballer, another great cache in another great park!
This cache also marks 250 finds for the Cheesy Pigs! Yay!

As my slaves neared GZ, they saw someone with a red jumper and grey arms. So they of course they yelled out curses to Swampy, but he ignored them. As they neared, they realised that Swampy ignored them because he was actually a young girl. Whew! What a relief.
But as the cache was opened, there was a distinct lack of empty first page. How dare they! It's one thing to get FTFs when everyone else is at work, but to do it on the one day we can have a sleep in is just cruel!
So thank you Netballer and TTE for the cache, but curse you S n P!!!

5yo cacherboy would like to express his gratitude and admiration for Tim the Enchanter and Netballer for their kind consideration and attentiveness to the needs of the younger caching generation. Recent playground caches have rather improved his opinion of geocaching in general. He is looking forward to the next, in what he hopes is a long and epic series. He took the bouncy ball, and left the beetle. After logging, he and Sog n paulus, enjoyed the multiple zaps of static electricity offered by the long blue thing nearby. And it's another FTF for us. YAY!
