13:00 Great event. Excellent company, coffee & food at cafe in park. Accuracy test to surveyed points was a very cool idea. LOL. At least my GPS is proved accurate to within 5m.

Great to see new cachers and cachers-to-be there too. Many thanks to 0paco0 for providing some toys for the kids to find and to 2CUL8TR for putting this on. I really enjoyed myself and got to see some parts of the country that I'd never seen before, put out a new cache and see the awesome wind farms in the hills! Being a boy, the drive up the twisty gravel road to the wind farm was worth the trip by itself!

Picked up some TB's to take North also.

Great to see Gen Custer and 2CUL8TR and boys. Muttly I see daily - but good to see him and his boys getting serious about the fun of geocaching.
Gen and I proved again that real men can eat quiches - even with salad Big Grin
Oh, to be honest, 2CUL8TR actually supplied the toys - I just hid some. Smile

For anyone considering organising a Geo Event, After today I highly recomend it. It is wonderful to meet people with similar interests one wouldn't usually meet. Their varying experiences were invaluable to network and share some fun.
Thankyou to those who attended or took the time to contact me.

Good to meet everyone. Brought geocoin AG's Travelling SunshineGang Geocoin from the United States to the event.

0PACO0 wil try to get there - not sure about Red and the dogs (although the four of us often go for a walk here on Sunday...).
Have received a rather large TB that has to go back to the States soon - hope someone has a bright idea.

Also have a Ferrari F430 Spider TB that is rearing to get to Auckland...

An apology from Team Butterfly in Hamilton - had hoped to get down there, but life has become so hetic recently. Have special visitors arriving that weekend, so will have to give it a miss.
Hope you all have fun.

Was planning to get up to this event but have been informed that it clashes with a mates stag party. I haven't been to one of those for sometime... Have a great event. I will now attend the Hamilton event instead. Its only $10 more to fly to Auk rather than Well.

I can take Hello Mrs' coins to Rotorua after this event, where a cool cacher is off to Hamilton Summer Celebration soon after. Smile

13-Oct-06
Please note the change of start time to 1pm on Sunday 29 October 2006. The confussion of days relates to another website to do with childrens day last year. I have just had a surveyor at the sight messuring some points for accuracy. I look forward to seeing you there.

13-Oct-06
I'm sorry I won't be able to attend this event. I am sending along a geocoin which wants to attend geocaching events. I hope many of you will 'discover it' at this event. After the event I would like someone to help it on its way to the Hamilton Summer Celebration event.

Dropping off some coins for discovering...

Good idea to list the event cache on gps.org.nz, 'though I had already noted it. Have been attending the south island events over the last six months aand have had a great time, and found lots of caches on route. Will probably attend this event too (and knock off a few NI caches).
