Logs
Today's weather is so lovely; I need to get out of the house and catch some caches.I parked at a little parking area and walked to GZ. Wet log as writing difficult. TFTC
After reading previous logs we came prepared with a replacement container. Wow, it definitely needed it. The original container was in pieces. The logbook was quite damp but still signable, and we didn't want to replace that being that it's the original anyway. A beautiful spot with great views. TFTC!Cheers,The Hancock Clan
On a walk with a client today, collecting some caches along the way. Quick find, and yes the cache container is completely trashed, definitely needs a new container. Log was dry though because it has been so dry for months now.TFTC
Catch is in pieces and the log is wet so we didn’t sign it
We approached from the beach but it’s slippery and stinky, the bush is delightful - and a better access point.

One of twenty-one caches found today with Zozetta. We began the day at Honeywood Drive where we found a cache which we had previously had a DNF on, we then drove towards Sandford collecting caches along the way. Most of the caches we found were traditionals, but we found two excellent multis as well. A fun day out with many quality caches found.
We were a bit confused as to which way to go to get to this one, and ended walking along the rocks to get to it, not the easiest route at high tide, as the cache description warns. Zozetta found the cache after a short search, but maintenance is required as the container is in pieces. However, the logbook is still able to be signed.
Thanks for the cache Caxixi!

Wah, what a scramble! Cache able to be signed but needs some loving - container in shatters. TFTC, really fun!
Yay, Found It - enjoying a walk filling in time while Mrs EeePees visits the South Arm Market.
Thanks Caxixi, for the cache, the views and the adventure.
Cheers, EPs.

After flying in from Townsville yesterday I claimed today to collect some challenges and old caches.
Nice little walk to this deserted beach and then back up a fallen tree to GZ. As others have stated the container is in pieces but the log was signable.
Nice area. Have a FP.
Thanks Caxixi for creating and placing this for us to enjoy.

I also had not read other logs before attempting this one.
I had a spare container in the car and did not bring it.
Container is broken into quite a few pieces.
I tried from the water side to start with but could not get to gz.
Did get one for experience by going that way if having an immature sea eagle fly about two metres above my head.

Been wanting to do this one but wasn't sure about how to approach it.
Today the 3rd of March 2021, after grabbing 4 other caches for the day. I drove down a road and chose to walk down a legit path to the beach [^]
Like mentioned the cache container is rather busted up by the elements but the log book within is dry thanks to it's bag doing the job.
SL of this "Old Gentleman" cache of almost 15 years at 14:34.
Replaced the delicate container in such a way so the rain will not pool in the container and covered the cache with sun-blocking natural camo

The container is smashed (uv does that to these containers). Half of the container is missing.
Hi Caxixi, wandered down from O'May Court to find this cache very easily. It is unfortunate that I didn't read the previous log before leaving as my spare containers were still in the car. This one really needs a new plastic fruit container as the plastic has hardened and cracked. Think the CO is no longer doing maintenance so if you do check this log please bring one with you.... nice and dry though and with plenty of cover from the weather it should last a while longer. Beware of the cache guardian.
After trying to get to the cache along the beach, I finally approached it from the bush. Container a little cracked but otherwise contents good.

After a leisurely, late start I had a great day today, visiting some old haunts, catching up with friends and finding a few caches, mostly on the eastern shore near Hobart.
My main caching focus today was on solved puzzles, challenge caches, letterbox hybrids and a multi and some traditionals that I had specifically targeted. Given the nature of many of the caches, I was very happy with 23 finds for the day.
I was down this way to find a nearby puzzle cache and also had this one on my target list. It eas a very pleasant walk to GZ today.
Thanks Caxixi for the cache.

Back in Sorell for a few days, out to pick up a few of the new caches which have gone down since we were here last time. Quick find , cache and contents all good, good coordinates. TFTC
out and about with the Rafas caching, another easy find with clues. TFTC TNLN log dry. nice views from the beach.
Greetings from Seattle.
I appreciate the CO upping the terrain score on this one. I should've known better but didn't read the previous logs first. After walking about 100m over slippery wet rocks I found out the cache was on top of the cliff. Oops! I found a different way on top that didn't require me to backtrack, but I did have to bushwhack back to the trail as I didn't know where it was. Oh well.
I specifically wanted to find this cache as it's at Mortimer Bay (I have a colleague with that last name) and it's now my southernmost cache!
All is well inside, but the outer container is cracked. Some small SWAG inside, but left it all for others.
TFTC.

Hi there Caxixi.
We found your cache **"Sunday Drive #1 - Mortimer Bay"** at 12:12:00 PM today. (This makes our grand total 18819).
It looks like the heavy wind and rain has abated, so today we decided to head down the South Arm to log a few caches there... We thoroughly enjoyed our tour today & ended up finding a variety of container types, and sizes. Our cache count was 9 caches today, with 0 DNF's.
It was high tide, but as we figured the cache would be on top of the cliff, we approached using an overland route. Even with a leisurely stroll we had the cache in hand and returned to the car in around 30 minutes. Thanks for placing the cache here. Without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found this cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

What a fantastic location and a great view. Enjoyed my walk down now to head back up. TFTC
Well it was too nice an afternoon to stay at home studying for exams so decided to take the GeoGSP for a walk along a track we hadn't been along before. This cache isn't too far from home so we hopped in the car and were on our way. Parked a couple of km's away so we could have a decent walk and could enjoy the wonderful views. Cache was found nice and dry. Thanks for putting a cache here Caxixi.
A hot day in Hobart but we decided to gather some of the more local caches near water and improve the smiley nature of our "local" area a little more. Had pulled out from this one after a previously exhausting day in the area. Today we checked previous logs and followed the easiest path to a point above the cache and then quickly located it because of the excellent coords. The view and the look of the water and the beach was magnificent.

Found on a wild and wet morning after a depressing time checking out a nearby house for sale. Definitely lifted the spirits doing a quick find and wandering around what I assume is a very pretty bay when it's not rainy and overcast. No swaps, sorry.
Fun find. Coordinates spot on.
No pencil, sorry I didn't have one to put in.

Being a bit off the track makes this a safe hide and Sue was quick to find it. TFTC Caxixi
We parked at the northern end of Mortimer Bay and walked along the beach. It was good to see that some of the cursed invasive radiate pines have been sawn down, but what wasn’t so good was the wet dog that ignored its owner and jumped up on us. On the other hand it was fantastic to see so many Oyster catchers in the bay.
It was straight forward walking along the bush lined track until reaching a small beach where it was hoped there would be a way up to a road, however a fence and wet area caused rethink. We decided to continue on to the Isthmus beach and walked a short distance beside the main road. A track off to the side was used then another short bit beside the road before the Storm View track, which started steeply uphill.
It is almost 2k along that track and it was very annoying to get almost to the end and find a closed sign. That would have entailed an additional 4 k walk to backtrack and there had been no sign at the start to warn of the closure.
The Hidden Valley and Emu sections were used then the track behind Mortimer Bay to complete our 18k walk.

we were not sure the best approach but did it from Sabre Drive. Had to back track a little to left fork as we realised the track we were on was not going to swing around! Stayed on the track until the last 50 metres or so. Good coordinates led to easy find.......then a long walk back up piggybacking the kids.TFTC
Today we set our target to be finding any remaining GC caches on South Arm. This was our seventh and final GC cache on South Arm (there is still one GA that we will need to return for as it involves an extended walk). We opted to enter the area from Sabre Place. It was a pleasant walk along a reasonable track. When we came to a junction, we took the left option which in turn got us within 60m of the cache. From there it was a walk through open bush to GZ where accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. the cache and it's contents were in good condition. There were certainly very pleasant views from this part of the shoreline. TFTC Caxixi and for bringing us to this lovely location.
This was our first cache ever. Such an adventure for us as well as the kids. I've only just learned that we shouldn't leave food. Oops!
I walked down from near the end of Sabre Place, took the left turn at the fork and got to within 50m of GZ before having to leave the track. Cache is in a very calm and peaceful place and was easy to find even without the hint.
The longest 40mins walk today. Steep hill down from car park , which means steep hill up to car park. Great views and walk along track. tftc
Having done some of the cache down in the arm before I came down today to try and get the rest, you look at them in your unfound list and they are so close to home as the crow flies but take a bit of a drive to get to.
Running out of time today so this was just meant to be a reconnoitre but what the hell while i'm here may as well go grab it.
After parking on O'May Court it was a short walk following the fence till I found a nice path down the the water, then follow the shoreline till I was about there and after a bit of a scramble soon spotted the cache.
Quick sign and replace and its back to the car following a higher path this time, took me all of 15 minutes.
Some very nice views over the bay.
Thanks for the cache

Bit of bush bashing, ended on wrong side of of cliff and had to 'recalculate' a new route to target. Then it was an easy find. TFTC
GPS doing interest changes between top & bottom of cliff, chose wrong one first.
Nice easy find once at gz, would be nice on a day less windy than today.

Not a 'Sunday Drive' but our regular Thursday bushwalk (this time along Mortimer Bay) allowed us to find this cache today. TNLN. Thanks Caxixi.
A lovely little spot we'd not been to before. Tide was a little high, but we managed to find GZ after some scramblinh over rocks and bush. Geodog loved the walk!
Long walk with another family from the neck. Great afternoon for it. Found it. Cheers
I came in from the south, along what looked like a really nice bit of single track .
After passing a kayaker launching from the shore, I followed the rocks a bit further, and then found myself below the cache, so I had to (carefully) climb the bank to get to the cache.
After signing, I picked my way back along the top of the bank, which was much less fund than down on the rocks.
From the place I parked my car, I could see a snow-clad peak (possibly Snow South?) over the top of the hills towards Huonville.
Stunning.
Thanks, Caxixi.

Yet anther good walk, found a good spot to park making it a short walk GZ. tftc

I have taken the Earth Day Coin.
Not exactly a Sunday drive, but fun nonetheless. We wandered done to the shore and found our way to the cache after a bit of a scramble. Left "Earth Day" geocoin as this picturesque location seemed quite fitting on this sunny day! TFTC!
TFTC great fun finding this one, great workout too. Left Buzzy Bee TB. Took nothing.
Good fun finding this one, a little tricky but no pen so will have to go back again and log the visit.
nice short cross country walk to get there, then an easy find. I haven't been to this area before, it's really nice. TFTC
I happened to be in the vicinity this afternoon, and was delighted to explore this area. It was windy and there was snow on the mountain but the sun was shining and the bush and coast was lovely. Thanks caxixi. My travelling coin is passing through in tribute.
Nice bush walking track, 4 started the walk, 2 went to the cache. Followed the GPS & it took us within 250m of cache. TNLN..
It wasn't Sunday, but it was still a nice walk to the cache.
Firstly along a horse trail, then cross country. Never got low enough for the tide to be a problem.
This was my first Sunday Drive, look forward to the others.
Thanks, Robmc.

Found a reasonable way in, and had a nice walk down to the bay, and then a little cross country for the last 100m to get to the cache. Cheers Gav [6085]
Thanks Caxixi, I now have the set of three Sunday Drives and not one of them found on a Sunday! Better still, the container was large enough to accommodate Lonn the Travel bug, who is a small koala bear. The problem was, however, that the only way I could drop off Lonn was to pick up another Travel Bug , the LumberDuck, a blue, plastic, black-horned, avian migrant which had been placed there recently. I feel as though I have been visited by the legendary old man of the sea – will I forever be placing one TB only to be finding another. Lovely spot and, even in this morning's mizzle, a beautiful view. TFTC.
Found after Sunday drive and a little walk. Left tb the lumber duck and monkey. Took Teddy bear. Found by geo kid I. Tftc
Nice spot. First attempted this cache with the coordinates of the Billy's Bluff cache south of this one. I was very annoyed when I gave up and moved on to Billy's Bluff and realised my mistake. Anyways....thanks for the find. Retrieved Travel Bug Mr Happy Face #2 and left a blue clip thing.
Found it on a joint exhibition with cambria49 and gracegroover. Left a travelbug for further travels - Happy Face #2
Joint effort to find this cache. Got stuck with buzzies en route but it was fun. Tftc. Left a travelbug to continue it's journey
Found not far from our home - family Merrigan! A great 30 minute sortie after a hectic morning and before guests arrived before BBQ! Stunning views never before seen after 9 yrs in Sandford! Great location; worth the trip! Thanks guys!
Great walk down to the bay, unfortunately went of the beaten track and got buzzies all over, thankfully didn't take long to find.
Had two trips in to and out from this cache as I left something behind. Got it at 1306hrs and loved the views. Now know that the big bay is called Mortimer Bay, not known by me prior to today. My walk in was about 15-20 minutes. TFTC; Merry Christmas & a HNY. Cheers OldSaint.
I was a little worried at how I would approach this cache, the closest road on my GPSr was over a kilometre away and that seemed a bit far for a potential bush bash. However, as I drove closer the roads seemed to appear regularly until I found one that finished a couple of hundred metres away and with a bush track marked.
A short stoll later through some very wet paths (there was water a couple of inches deep flowing over them!) I found the cache and the beautiful views that came with it!
A magical spot to find, thanks so much for bringing me here.

Another great spot. Had no trouble finding the cache just parked at the track head and followed it to the cache.
Our third cache, finally found it after going around in circles a bit. Took some dice and left a small teddy bear. Great spot in our local area one we haven't vistied before. Thanks
A nice stroll to finish the day. I ended up rockhopping most of the way, which after taking an alternative route back, I think was the easier option in the end

We no sooner had the cachemobile door open than we were greeted by Maggie the cache-guide. Our friendly guide led el senor and myself along the track to where we took the wrong route but after some high tide rock-hopping and then a scramble we had the cache in hand.
Maggie would have liked the bouncy ball but settled for a thrown stick instead so TNLNSL.
Thanks Caxixi, this was a lovely spot and along with our other cache find for the day may have to be more closely inspected from MS Moja in the near future.

A beautiful day to find this cache. Found easily but had to do a bit of bush bashing to find the way out. Could easily have spent all afternoon there it was such a lovely spot.
Found a good way in and as I approached gz was worried that I'd have to negotiate a cliff. However no such problem and the cache was found easily. Then I took the time to admire the lovely water and view and took some pics too. thanks Caxixi for another quality spot to put a cache.
Found it! yay.
Loki was worried we would be bush bashing for a while on this one, I was more worried we would get wet!
but seems we picked the 'short cut' as the cache was only a 10 minute walk from where we parked.
we didn't take or leave anything, but I found a golf ball about 10 metres from the cache

A pleasant walk around a bay that I or my caching mates would probably never have done if not for Geocaching. A cool still day and flat calm water. Thanks for the cache caxixi. TNLN
very pleasant stroll around the shore to this cache. Very calm, pity about so much rubbish washed up on the shore. TNLN

Not sure if we were ever on the right path and near to the cache I somehow managed to put myself on the wrong side of a steep bank. Meanwhile my caching buddies rebulus and gspblu had made the find and logged it while I continued to be hypnotized by the view and the peacefulness of the area. Thanks Caxixi
No way would we have ever found this place without having been lured here by the cache. Beaut place on a very still late afternoon. The water was like a mirror.
Took butterfly fridge magnet
Left grasshopper.
Thanks Caxixi for the cache.

I really enjoyed this one. I found some public thoroughfare between properties that got the GPS to within 500m and walked the rest of the way in. I really liked how remote it felt here - there were no footprints on the beach on the way in. I never realised there was so much accessible coastline in this area. Excellent Caxixi, thanks. TNLN.
1:10 pm What a perfect ending on such a hot day! I had thought today would be a good day to get my slaves out as it was the first sunny day for ages, but it has proven to be sooo hot and sooo sunny - not great when you are black and need grooming! So I went for a swim! Note to slave: it is easier to keep your dog under effective control if you decide to control her by allowing her to do exactly as she pleases! Thank your for the cache, Caxixi!
First Geocache with our parents - a few hours after they stepped off a 40 hour trip from Stuttgart. Let then search for a while before showing them the cache at around 7pm . Traded a Surpise Egg Toy for a yellow marker. TFTC.
Great cache, found on the second try. Our first find of many we hope.
Removed the glow in the dark eye, and replaced it with a Hong Kong Dollar.
Thanks

Found on a sunny but windy saturday arvo on our way to visiting some rellies at the arm. A nice spot. Thanks for bringing us here Caxixi.
Left butterfly magnet, took survival whistle/compass/mirror/container thing. (Cacherboy couldn't resist this one).

Found this one when I was Mrs Cheesy Pig. I have struck out on my own and am now logging the caches I found in my previous persona (but not the ones found only by Mr Cheesy Pig of course)! Let me know if you would like me to find it and log it again but under my new name.
Mrs CP: “It’s fathers day what do you want to do?â€
Mr CP: “I dunnoâ€
Master CP: “Watch Elmo in Grouchland?â€
Mr CP: “I have checked GSAK, there are three unfounded caches in South Arm. Lets go, lets go, lets goâ€
Mrs CP: “Ok then, its Sunday, lets go for a driveâ€
Master CP: “Watch Atlantis?â€
And so began a small quest with three caches found. This one gave the cPs quite a bit of much needed exercise, (especially Mr CP who ended up carrying the young master quite a bit of the way).
Took Ladies gloves and a penguin sticker, left survival compass whistle and a glowing eyeball. Need to restock cache bag.
Thanks Caxixi.

Heading off for the day, but thought I might leave a bit earlier and head for this one...Swampy had beaten me to the FTF and yesterday too, but a lovely 8am walk anyway. Most unusual for me for a Saturday!!!!! The tides also would have made no impact on the way that I picked to get to it, but I was thinking that it looked like good snake territory and was glad of it being this time of year. Caxixi evidently also thought it looked snakey I noticed in the attributes (after I'd been there). Took poppy seeds, left satin gift bag. A glorious morning and glorious view. Thanks Caxixi.
Hmm, there must be some kind of plot afoot here - its still showing as unfound , but both Swampy and Dippy have already logged (Guess that we always knew that leaving it until midday was making FTF unlikely!!). Regardless, this was a great walk in an area that we didn't know it was possible to get to, so thanks Caxixi. T. lizard keyring, L windup frog. Coordinates were spot on, and from the way we approached tides didn't seem likely to cause any problems (unless of course, the effects of global warming mean that roads are cut en route!!!)
I couldn't wait for Sunday! I'll be busy with RomanSwamp!
Walked in for about 20 minutes, found after GPSr turned itself off and I resorted to the "Where would I put it" principle.
Lovely views from here and on the way in.
Took ball, left keyring
Thanks Caxixi, FTF#2 for the day (so far both Caxixi caches!)
