After a false detour, we found the park with a magnificent view of the bay and islands. Mrs Swampybees and I made our way to ground zero where she quickly found the cache. Unfortunately, it was so wet and the log unsignable due to the cache sitting in a hollow that must have filled with rainwater. madmyers might have to take a look and check it out. Otherwise thanks.
Out for an afternoon of bike riding and geocaching. One of the neighbours was a bit suspicious and came out to see what we were doing. Once he was gone we were able to find the cache. Beautiful view. 3rd find for the day, thanks!
Today we managed to do a couple of AL caches. We stopped to find the traditional caches as we past.
Where we parked the car & walked to the reserve it had amazing views over the ocean.
Made a quick find at GZ. The log book is wet & needs replacing.
Thankyou madmyers for placing this cache.

Thank you Madmyers. Our first geocache!! Great way to learn how accurate the map pointer was. Off to our second.
Happy Hunting.

Quick and easy find, great view - nice picnic spot. Couldn’t sign logbook as it is wet and there is no pencil. TFTC
Residents on the hilltop with a view were all inside avoiding the heat so quick grab here! TFTC
Another cache I decided to come back to visit for a third time. This time the neighbouring muggles were all entrapped in their air conditioned cocoons leaving the great outdoors available for mad dogs, english men and cachers.
Without being spied on this time, went straight to a logical spot for a quick find. I'm all for these quick finds!! Thanks madmyers and others for keeping these oldies still in play.

There’s a lovely cool breeze here as we walked to GZ. Sure are some nice views across the bay.
Cache was easily found. Squeezed our signature into a little space on the log.
Thanks for the cache madmyers.

Another walk after work this afternoon, today with a spectacular view. Wouldn't I love one of these houses? A quick find here and back to the car for the drive home. Tftc madmyers
Yes an amazing view. Great impressive trees. Thanks for the help Peppa. Out with PirateLinda and Peppa and 2MT
This was a quick find, because the cache was in plain sight. After signing the log, which is nice and dry, I gave the container a bit more camouflage. It’s a beautiful day on the bay! Thank you for bringing me here.
Another oldie to tick off...lovely view from the top and we were admiring the old house and 'estate' from across the white fence. Glad we got to see a view from the other side at the next cache. All good with this one. TFTC madmyers.
The second of three in this area that Eskies5 and I were targeting today. Arriving near GZ we we sidetracked by the large area that house was on behind the white fence, soon we regained focus and headed towards the cache. Thanks to a previous log we were able to make a quick straightforward find. TFTC madmyers
Nice and easy. Tip: if you go into the Bush you've gone too far...and maybe trespassing.
Caching after dark in the Redlands.
With a good torch I quickly made the find here.
The view was not much in the dark but the new moon was looking down on me
Thank you for this cache

Followed Google maps to attempt to make our way to GZ and found ourselves in a bamboo graveyard where branches were as thick as my entire body. There was a track, but it seemed to lead through impenetrable bamboo and mangrove swamp-age. Took a different approach a few streets away and we are on the mark. Both logs wet so have placed a new one in, but the zippy bag needs replacing. Was rather exposed so has been re-covered wuth loose leaf litter. All in all, a really nice area for a nice hunt. TFTC.
Walked into the bushes thinking it was there but phone said it was wrong and quickly found it thanks for the cash
Was quite difficult cause we had to look through and under things, enjoyed the search was rly fun
Mrs Woodyrothwell looked at where we had to go and not so gleefully pronounced that there was a hill to be conquered. I retorted that what she seemed intent on calling a hill more closely resembled a bump. She replied that a bump is what you get on a tiny dance floor at a pub where the old lady dancing next to you doesn’t know how to do the Macarena. There was no point arguing any further lest the hill became a mountain.
The topographic anomaly now affectionately known as a hill would have been something I would have had hours of fun on if there was a spare bit of cardboard around. Last century when I was a kid, we would often get the used beer cartons from the pigpen at Dolphin Oval to slide down the hill on. I knew from an early age I would love beer.
It also reminded me that I never got to experience the short-lived grass skiing park that used to be opposite the Big Pineapple. As a kid we would drive by and I would pester the old man to stop and let me at whatever they were doing. He would always respond: “Well I could either pay for you to grass-ski or go home and a buy a carton of tallies.” It’s only now that I’m older I can truly see how how infallible his argument was.
After stamping the log my wife was keen to once again talk about the hill as were about to walk back to the car. I told her that I could either stand here and listen to her complain or go home and buy a carton of wine. She too saw that my old man’s logic could not be argued with and I never heard another peep about it. tftc

After a little searching, found it. All soaked from the recent rains. Managed to sign log, however the bag it was in was split.
The "box with the chords" that was found by a previous cacher, is an old CPU, the cords are internal wires. I guess if you find that, you went on a side mission. TFTC

I went to the spot with a friend but all I found was this old box with some chords inside?
This is why you go Geocaching. The view from these houses is amazing. I can’t imagine what it would be like to live here but I’m sure it would be incredible. Thank you for bringing us to this wonderful place. TFTC
Out for a few hours on the Bayside turning green dots into smilies.

No pen. So here’s a pic of the cache. Yes. The log is wet. Could do with a fix up
Making the best of a non-work day - checking some older caches out on the southside of Brisbane. My next stop was here and after a lovely little walk in, a quick find, and a visually spectacular walk back. Awesome.
Thanks madmyers for entertaining me at this location.

A very humid day so nice to come down to get some sea breezes. A great view and park, a little smoggy today. Found quickly. TFTC
Dropped by to move my trackable along, it enjoyed it's stay in this cache with a view
Quick find and dropped off a TB, the ride back up the hill was tiring, good thing there is a convenient seat and water fountain. TFTC!
Slope is easier going down...bit of a workout coming back up. Lovely views, lovely houses.
Cache found...added note paper and name.
Thanks for bringing us here madmyers

Hi madmyers. Sorry I have logged a needs maintenance, but the log has turned to slimy mush. A new log would be lovely please
Mrs Just a Trifle was out for a day of fun caching with Raynersinoz. It was a wonderful weather for the last day of winter and we thoroughly enjoyed our day out near the bay.
We had no difficulty locating the cache but unfortunately the log was to wet and slimy to be able to add our names and today, we had forgotten to bring along any replacement logs.
Thank you madmyers for placing the cache and for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy

It was just Mrs JAT and me out caching today and we decided we needed to go for a walk. Ormiston and Cleveland caches looked to be what we were after, seeing it was a lovely sunny day and there was a beautiful sea breeze
Wow, the view is really lovely from here, it's worth searching for the cache, just to check out the views across the bay. We had no problems finding this one, however it was impossible to sign the log because it was a slimy, wet mess, ewwwwwww! Mrs JAT and I have taken a photo of ourselves with the cache container if you need to check we were there. We would have replaced the log for you, but we didn't have any spares with us (sorry)...it would be lovely if you could pop in a new one. TFTC madmyers and for bringing us to a great spot

We found it! Nicely hidden. When we found the cache a spider was crawling all over it. So be careful! We opened the cache onlt to find a completely saturated log book. We decided not to erite in it! We added some little treasures aswell. This is our 4th find today!
After finding a nearby cache. Mr RoddyC and I made our way to this one. We hunted and hunted for this one, our phones telling us it was closer to the fence line than where we eventually located the cache. We were very happy to add our names to the log and continue on our way. TFTC
Today is a Geocaching day with Selva Girls to start turning green dots into smiley faces around the Ormiston area. Confusion here about how to get to the cache. Ended up in Beckwith Street and legged it across what I eventually realised was private property. Never mind, no body about.
The hunt a GZ was a pain, though, as it was a devious place to put a cache - not quite the usual hiding hole.
Log signed & replaced again. Found at 8.55am on 2nd March 2017. TFTC, madmyers.

On the map it looked like there was a path from here through to Storm Birds but a Private Property sign out paid to that idea.
Thankfully, the cache was just shy of the private property and I made a quick find. Unfortunately, the cache hadn't been closed properly and both the original log and the replacement bit of paper, which wasn't in a bag, were soaked. I put another log in, inside a zip lock bag, and made sure the cache was closed properly. Hopefully it'll stay a bit drier.
