Hmmm, like previous posters have noted there are a number of key ingredients missing. No fence, no seats, no plaque ...all in all I thing this cache needs a bit of an overhaul and checkup by the CO
Solved this Multi, first of four found this evening. Took a while to find, no fence here now as hint. Thanks for the cache.
I had looked at this cache a few times, and managed to get some of the answers. Once I went to the GZ, the items referred to for some of the answers were well and truly hidden by overgrown foliage, so I couldn't work out any answers for those questions. I figured seeing that the missing numbers would haven't meant only 20 or so metres difference in the GZ, and the hit was reasonably specific, I managed to get a likely looking GZ. Cache took a little while to locate as the area seemed to have a lot of debris either left over from storm/flood damage, or the result of some nearby house demolitions. Found it eventually. Everything in good condition. Thanks for the cache.
I couldn't find the plaque and if it weren't for the coordinates I wouldn't have found the seat either as it was half covered by grass and hidden by a flax plant. So ended up going on to the next cache as I didn't have enough to go off to find the cache.
The area certainly was rather wet underfoot.

I called up TeamGaters for a impromptu multi mission and he accepted my offer and we went out to knock off a few. This one was our first for the evening and I noticed from the logs that there was a bit of information that needed to be gathered via Mr. Google. I had all the relevant information except for the seat number and number of slats. I made an guess what I thought the number of seats should have been and also had a fair idea of the number of slats as I've counted about a dozen of these over a few multies and it could have been either x or y. TG and I stopped by the posted coords and couldn't find any seats but we made a guess and headed to GZ. We had to wait for a curious muggle on his evening stroll. The cache was quick to hand and our 'educated' guess proved to be correct. The cache was in good condition and the sculpture is on a bit of a lean. The ground around the sculpture was soggy!!! Glad to have got the tick for this one.
Thanks for the cache.

I got a late afternoons call from TheWanglers for an impromptu night multi mission - what fun, and a chance to knock off a few. This one was our first for the evening. TW had collected most of the required info on a previous visit & from a bit of 'general knowledge' (of council seats). We thought we'd just stop and try and double check for seats at the posted co-ords but the Poppy ground was boggy as & there was no sign of any seats (claimed by the growing swamp?). Fairly confident of the numbers we headed to the best looking GZ of our options. Hit a likely looking GZ; pausing briefly to make sure a curious muggle continued on his way.....cache was quick to TWs hand as I kept watch. Nice to knock this one off.....cheers.
Tried to visit the coordinates on my last visit to Christchurch but it was too boggy. As it's the closest cache to my sisters place when I stay down here I had to tick it off so solved online and in search of it tonight by torchlight. Looked in the correct place first time but somehow missed it. Decided we were in the correct place the first time and sure enough there it was. Took TB will move on soon TFTC
I was tempted to disable this cache. It continues to be found with some research to fill the missing clues at the published coordinates. The cache remains safe in good order.
19/11/12 10:39 AM Find #1546 Solved the puzzle from afar, visited GZ and then found the cache nearby dry and safe. Like others I found the plaque at GZ missing but it was easy to find a photo of it online. Left Travelling Wilbury TB which I found in Australia. Thanks Hello Mrs.
266 - I started this on 10 April and, like Beltfamily. found that the plaque was missing and the area in need of a little TLC after liquefaction etc had been through the area. I did however find the plaque online and so could answer the questions to find the cache. I was in the area today and finally remembered to take the book with me, and to actually stop where I needed to. Everything is nice and dry. I never realised that wee cache area was there. TFTC
This cache can't be completed as it stands. Plaque not present. Area an overgrown bog. Bird poops everywhere. Please disable so others won't waste time. Thanks.

I was over near Anzac Drive so I thought I would complete this and sign the log, but like others, found the plaque still missing. It still is a little boggy in places and needs a good mow. I hope the CCC clean it up a bit before Anzac weekend. I got most the the info so will be back soon to complete this, but in the meantime I also used this wonderful sculpture to complete a challenge
We went for this one not knowing we wouldn't be able to answer all the questions on the spot due to missing pieces. We accepted that this was out of our control and went home to do a bit of research. We completed the puzzle and saved the hunt for the cache for another day. Today was that day. No barking dogs, no muggles. Just a quick find. Thanks for a fun multi.
Cycle way submerged after Fridays quake. Tried various coordinates but no luck. Home to do more research.
Not to be defeated. Went back for 1 last shot and.nailed it. lots of goodies but no trackables in cache. Tftc.
owner of house not happy i was by his fenco Frizoutcold braved all odds to have another look and found it. the clues are munted due to quake. needs work to reset. fun though all the same
With the help of Google and a few logical guesses got the co-ords for cache near by. Tried not to upset dog but he knew I was up to something on the other side of his fence. TFTC.
Attempted a few weeks ago but thwarted by the missing plaque. Read the previous logs and attempted online research to find the missing info without success. Tried again the other day and found it straight away. Passing by today, a quick stop, walk and find. If it wasn't for the cache I'd never have had a close look at the poppies. TFTC and the interesting history/information.
Visited a while back and the plaque was (still is) missing so instantly ignored it and moved on thinking it couldn't be done. Then purdiepurdie mentioned that it can be done with a little research. So did that and found all the answers fairly quickly. Found cache today, safe and sound. Cool wee multi. TFTC (#217, 1.58pm)

TFTC. It is in a bit of a sad state at the moment. The poppies are still standing tall and proud, however the plaque is indeed missing. I managed to solve with plaque questions with a little research. The final is in good condition.
#2202 I have passed by here several times over the past four years and always had a parking problem. This time I made sure I knew where to park the car first. Good hide. TNLN TFTC DS8399
Got attacked by three Pukekos at GZ, maybe defending their offspring? Managed to read the answers after they calmed down and after the promised walk had the cache in hand. TFTC
Our first multi with our GPS alot easier than with paper print outs and return trips
First one for the New Year before an overseas excursion. Been meaning to do this one for a while and managed to close it off. Made a major mistake that took me some what out of the way in searching for the cache. One of the basics, read the instructions correctly. Initially ended up exactly 1km away from the final location (entering co-ords in GPS). Resorted to hint and finding nothing of the sort in the location, re-thought it out along with a Homer Simpson moment. Nice walk though and dog needed it
A couple of hours away from mother so finally did the challenge and found it - interesting poem. Was muggled by a dog when at cache location very quiet area. TNLN SL - Thanks Hello Mrs and nice of you to remind me to do this one.
Thanks Mrs for a great cache.
I was with KotukuSI when we got the data for this cache many moons ago. At that time I was a total newbie. I didn't know that I should use the compass function on the gps to set me in the right direction . The only way I knew if I was getting closer to a cache was to view the tracking line on the map. And that can be confusing once you get a spiders web of tracks!
But this time (compass at the ready) we got on the right path. And now that we (direct-route and me) can think like geo-cachers, the box was found
fairly quickly.
We took the travel bug.

Tried to do this earlier on in our geocaching days and didn't manage so decided to have another go today, 10.10.10.
Have often driven past the Poppies and it was good to have an excuse to stop. Once again we visited a place we hadn't been TFTC.

Did the sums for this ages ago but didn't realise there was more Reserve here - so continued around the Wetlands at that time. Today with the advent of Yellow Submarine II, I headed out to the area again. Enjoyed stopping to actually look at the poppies rather than just drive by. TFTC.
Quick grab after swimming. The detail on the poppies / structure is wasted as we fly past in the car. Thanks for encouraging us to stop and make the effort to appreciate it.
Picked up a TB - will keep it moving.

We biked here along the river on our way to family, have always looked at the Tall Poppies but never stopped here, so thanks. Great multi cache, my 7 year old son enjoyed the challenge. Placed a TB (silver handbag) from "Anaconda" in Taylors mistake and grabbed the geocoin for another cache next weekend. Easy find.
Didnt think I had the right final GZ as some of the questions had answers with double digits, so guess a few answers. Luckily went the right direction and thanks to the hints found with ease. Not sure what the question about the drive was meanng?
A quick multi on the way to gymnastics with my granddaughter. Added a green gem. TFTC FOD
It only just clicked why the poppies are there, read the plaque and set off to GZ.Nice quick find with the help of the hint.
These poppies looked interesting, so we found a safe place to park and walked back to take a closer look. We got the info needed for the final, and headed for GZ, where we made a nice quick find. Thanks for showing us.

C had me stumped for a moment but then my thinking cap kicked in. Nice find during a Saturday morning cycle to the area. Cheers Hello Mrs.!
I enjoyed this and at last forced to stop and ponder. I'd respectfully suggest that in C the name "sign" be substituted for " plaque,"in the minds of cachers
(58) I have driven past this so many times and never stopped to have a look.. Being so close to ANZAC day it was a good one to do.. Took the Hogan-noughts with me on this one as they really wanted to do a multi cache.. Took me a few minutes it figure out the nature of the questions. Once realised that first 3 questions were about the area and remainging were about the Plaque got the answers pretty quick.. Over all a great cache.. SL. TFTC.
What a nice little multi-cache. Very nice to see this memorial then final at nice area. SL TFTC
A lovely morning to do this cache, which we have driven passed many times but never had time to stop and do. Left TB Geocompass.
Third of six for the day. Quickly worked out the co-ords and an easy find at GZ.
Thanks for the excuse to see the poppies up close, must have driven by hundreds of times!

Found this cache with relbo, his first recorded cache, and a great niece and nephew. The kids did a swap, but otherwise took nothing. No sign of GCs. TFTC

Loved the tall poppies. Thanks for a nice wee multi and a great spot for a cache. An easy find with Yeetrees, once we corrected a miss-keying of the co-ordinates by one whole minute.

Found with YuGeo4, counted the poppies, was that 1 or 2 Uhmm!!! Oh well solved the multi pretty quickly but managed to mess up one of the co-ordinates, after realising our mistake and sorted out the error the final was easily found in it’s nice secure spot, TFTC TNLNSL (1162)
Great cache, lovely sculpture and excellent message Thanks for taking us to something we normally drive on past. Took Luxembourg Geocoin, left Down Under geocoin. TFTC.
Thanks for taking us to a site we'd never paid much attention to in the past. TFTC
With the help of Little Horrible, and busy traffic we finally found this one.Drop off a Luxembourg Geocoin 2 and a Golf Ball.A good hunt for this one.
Had the wrong co ordinates first time so went and read the questions properly. Found with new geocachers. Had a bit of a scramble in bushes.
Its been a month or so since we visited the poppies for the first stage - I had no idea the final location was so close. First cache found using geocaching software on a mobile (blackberry) - really impressed.

Thanks for giving us an excuse to stop and look closely at the Poppies. We often pass them and think they are very impressive so was pleased to have a close inspection. TFTC But no sign of the two geocoins that have been logged as in the cache.
The cache of the day. We were taking a muggle cousin to New Brighton and introducing her to geocaching. She drives near here often and had not noticed the poppies. The quotes on the sculpture are thought provoking. And as we went to the Way Point we pointed out an area that would make a good spot for the final cache - which the owner clearly agreed with as our car was about15m from the final spot. TNLN TFTC
Easy find. A first for friends Bronte and Jon!
Traded cars with a previous cacher.

Easy find. First time I had stopped to actually look at these poppies after driving past them countless times. TFTC
Enjoyed both locations. Was a bit confused by one answer, but now I realise that 'On the plaque' refers to D,E,F, not to C!
Thanks.
Thanks.
My first find in CHCH Nice easy one to start with. TFTC.

This is yet another one of those places that I keep driving past but unless there was a cache I'd never pay close attention to it. Quite a good bit of art, perhaps swap it for the chalice in the square? TNLN Thanks.
Most 'art' I regard with a jaundiced eye - a sort of emperor's clothes thing. This however I do regard as art. It works, it touches me on multiple levels. Thanks for bringing me here. I had done the hard work 6 months ago and thought it time to consign it to the done basket in a circular trip around the area. Hatas
After the rain it was getting cold but still time to admire this artwork close up. Short multi, easy find. Today's 6th of 8 caches; 4th Hello Mrs cache, left Magna man t/bug.
Got one of the answers wrong and so thought gz was 10m over a large private fence. Spotted my error quickly though and then approx 100m away I found the cache. TFTC.
Forgot to log this one! TFTH. Nice wee multi. Nice spot for cache! Cheers, ClownyCacher
Had some time to spare before our flight back up to Auckland so we decided to stop by and look at the Poppies.
Found all the info and went on to final. Had a bit of a panic when we realised the nearby garden was occupied but after a couple of attempts we found the cache.
Left Crappy cache TB - not because I think this cache deserves it but because I wanted to drop it off before we went up north. Sorry!

- marble, + Cinderella. took a small misdirection heading to the cache due to a late night muggle
#323. Found with Troodles (3/3 in the Eastern suburbs). Time for one last cache on the way home. Thought about Pukeko, but lots of recent DNFs. Decided on Tall Poppies instead. Have driven past heaps of times but never stopped, so it was good to finally stop and have a look around. Managed to misread one aspect of the questions somewhat on the PDA screen (second tiem that's happened) but we still calculated the right coords, and ti was an easy find. TFTC.
It was great to actually stop and see this memorial. the detail is missed when you are just driving by and the poem.

had worked out the coordinates a couple of months back, its taken until now to get round to locating the cache itself. thanks for getting me to stop and check out the poppies
We found a spot to park back down the road - and as it turned out our parking choice was ideal as it turned out to be near the final!! Thought provoking sculpture - particularly the poem.
