Hopefully, we'll get a chance to check on this cache during the holiday period. Big Grin

I had a look at all the stumps in the area within about 5-10 meters from the track, but found nothing in any of them. I say the cache has either been washed away or stolen.

Please replace! I'd love to find this one Smile

may need checking on as I tried to find cache , despite walking track closure.
the recent high water may have carried this cache away.
pretty sure I had a good look at G.Z.

Easy find although the attempt was offroad. My GPS maps won't work in my new unit so this one was back to the "Ooh we're getting close" of the original etrex days.

Oh well go there in the end.

Had a spot of work to do on the DarkSide this morning and as we headed back to the shed, decided to see what was nearest. 553m said the GPS. Nice. A short meander later and we had a cache in hand. Thank you for a pleasant break in the work day Smile

Hi, the old log book has been dried and sorted. Today we replaced it and added into it the logs since we picked it up. We are extremely happy that this little bit of maintenance has proven to have a successful result.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU LEDGINS! Smile

We truly appreciate what you have done for our little cache.

Happy caching,

In the book of LEDGIN'S. Found at 1515hrs. Cache extremely wet and some contents were rusting. Dried it out - replaced log book and have advised the owners of our actions. The cache has been placed in a clear zip lock plastic bag for added protection. We are attempting to dry out the previous log book - sorry we don't hold out much hope for it.

TN Left a couple of new swaps to replace those beyond redemption.

Lovely walk - at the moment be careful on the boardwalk. At one point a slat is missing and one side has sunk from the recent flooding activity.

Searched for a while but couldn't find. It had been washed a bit into the swamp. We picked it up and put it back in the stump . We have tipped out the water but defintely needs some maintenance.
Nice walk though.

Parked and walked down from the road to find the tracks are closed at the moment, no doubt because of the recent rain. Once it all dries out I expect the tracks will reopen again.

No worries, cache in good condition, council has closed the car park, however parking is available across a busy road, careful with the kids. TFTC.

The council have made parking a little difficult but once that was sorted we were away. Nice easy walk, even saw some
butterflies right next to the information board about them.
Found reasonably easily. Took "Rally's Signal Geocoin"
and $100 note eraser and left a rack of screwdriver tips.
Signed log. TFTC

Found easily after a delightful walk through this piece of scrub. Finding a park was the hard part! Thanks to THENANKS for the cache.

A wonderful stroll this morning located the acche easily lots of bird life about today.I was glad I was on the boardwalk and on my way back to the car when I saw a fat very black snake with a tail that tapered to almost nothing. He was moving very sowley but my pace certinally picked up and I was out of there. Well my excuse is I was working in the area and the area had caches in it, like honey to the bee. TNLN

Didn't see any butterflies today which was a shame, must be hiding out with those furry turtles.

This was my first cache hunt.

First Visit: Approached from wrong side, ended up waist deep in creek. Shoes fell off and were lost in creek. Crossed creek, ended up on private property. Gave up and returned to car.

Second Visit: Approached from correct side (after reading logs posted by others). Lovely area. I have lived in this region for a long time and never knew it was there. Unable to find cache.

Will re-attend tommorrow after reading hint.

It was like stepping through the back of a wardrobe into Narnia! From the rather unprepossessing entry to the magic, butterfly-filled world beyond, what an absolute treat this was. Thanks for bringing me here. Took Gas Can TB. TFTC!! ='.'=

WOW! Don't know if it's always like this but today it was as if I'd stepped into an enchanted world with thick clouds of butterflies flitting through a vine encased forest. Took a few photos, none of which did the place justice. Found the cache too by the way. Thanks for the experience.

I had driven past here before but couldn't work out where to park. Today I parked on the other side of the busy road in some parkland and then rode the bike in. Fairly quick find. Left the Bionical TB. Very pretty in here, thanks to theNanks!

Quite an easy find for me today. Of course, I drove all about the place for a while before making a decision on where and when I should get out the pushbike. After much measuring on the UBD page and one false start/pedal on the wrong side, I found the right place and never looked back. TN/LN/SL

Managed to make this one a terrain 4 by coming in the wrong way and slipping off the log and into the sludge. Finding the cache took some searching because of the bad satellite reception but never mind it gave me a chance to look at ALL the stumps in the area. Then back to the car the way I had come as the other way on the path seemed too long. So I squelched my way back and at least we had some water in the car to wash off my shoes and socks which we incredibly muddy. What a little adventure Big GrinBig Grin TNLN thanks NANKS.

Last time we were in the area it was getting too dark to do this one so we were glad that we got another opportunity to do it today. Cool After a nice shady relaxed walk we found the cache easily. The Mini Inks appreciate easy finds along maintained paths. [^]

Took: Tazo and Hairband

Left: Animal Rubber and magnet

Our last find for the day bringing up our first 50!

We also approached it from the wrong side - our GPS map showed that the cache was on the Queens Road side of the creek, but it turned out to be accessible only from the Loganlea Road side... TNLN

My second visit to this lovely area today. First time I could not find the way in Red Face
You would think the bike tracks would link up to this area. They don't [:o]
So on my second ride around I tried a different approach and what do you know, I found a carpark securely gated and locked. Great, no muggles Smile
After a short ride through the snake infested trees I had the cache in hand Big Grin
Thanks for a fun little cache chase..

Very enjoyable walk through a lovely area. Took 3 goes to find the right way in [:o)]

Found by Sunshine Toledo and Razza at 12:20pm in the drizzle. Cache is well hidden at its site. Had some trouble finding where to park as the gate was locked so parked on the side of the road without any trouble. In: tazo Out: TB Tobor(which will travel with me on Thursday.

Once again caching has taken us to a very nice little spot that we never would have visited otherwise. It was getting a bit late when we were there so we couldn't stay long, however the walk was enjoyed by all. The trees do play havoc with the GPS in there don't they...still found cache with no problems. Managed to fit in "Tobor the time traveller TB"...the coolest TB we have found so far. We have been finding mainly micros lately so we were grateful for the "real cache". Took ball game and bracelet...left TB and a hair clip...we couldn't fit anything else in...it is one well packed little cache.

Looks like a NANKS day for us today. We approached this from the wrong way didn't we. Fianlly realised that cachers tend not to make all finds a marathon; so we drove around the other side and found the nice easy walk. TFTC TNLN

#8 for the day for the HawMorFords.

As is usually the case, we approached from the wrong way thereby putting us on the wrong side of the creek.... we eventually gave up on the idea of the path bending around and crossing the creek so decided to head back to the car.

A couple of hundred metres from the car however, we spotted a spot to cross. Once over the other side, we made a bee line for the cache.

As we were back at the path we tracked back to the carpark and onto the main road and then, on to the car.

By no means the route intended but we had a great time all the same.

No swaps on this occasion.

What track? No track going the right direction from where I parked. Found another faint trail which petered out into waist high grass. Finally found the right track and found the cache easily in the dark at 18:30. Had a 15 minute walk back to the car afterwards though. A great area which I am sure is under utilised. TNLN.

03-Sep-06
Difficulty 5 finding a good place to park, even though we had lived nearby for a year. I swear council does not actually want anybody visiting this park, despite building the boardwalk. We had a nice walk in, with plenty of egrets looking on. TFTC!

02-Sep-06
This is a really nice bit of bushland in here & with the creek up high there was actually water under the boardwalk!

As we came in from the road a few water dragons scattered around the place... they seem to be quite prolific around here.

The cache was found in the first place we looked. We TNLN. TFTC.

Nice walk in some terrific bushland!.... Easy find. Cache high and dry after the rain.
The nearby watercourse is flowing high and fast after the recent rain.
