This one was funny. The coordinates kept changing on us due to the tree cover and we went slipping down the slops. For future searchers there is no need to adventure on slops.
OCW EverestHigh, this was my first find for todays caching before Beer O'Clock in Hornsby (or Asquith). It was nice to find this old 2 dogs cache, and see all the original logs all the way from 06, when I was 2 That description surely wouldn't be acceptable in todays world of geocaching, a nice insight into how things have changed and evolved for this hobby.
Great to find an old cache still in action after nearly 2 decades. OCW Gavingo4, befre a day out caching with 4Rods, before Beer O'Clock Event nearby at Ekim Microbrewery. TFTC 2Dogs and GCNSW
A quick cache check after 2 recent DNFs. Found container nicely tucked away in its hiding spot. Amazing to have an 18 year old cache with original log book. Unfortunately, the lid is cracked and the log book nearly full, so it will need some TLC before too long. Picked up a TB that wasn't listed as being in the cache.TFTH 2 Dogs (and thanks to GCNSW for maintaining)
Well that was disappointing. Found and enjoyed the walk in to the sound of birds and M1. Initially went down the hill then reread logs and began again on track level. Found the bottle top city and thought I was close but no sign of it in a couple of obvious places. Will try again.
TFTC and a nice quick find. I enjoyed walking along the trail and enjoying nature. Out geocaching with Mighty Minions and 2 Pods.
Found with Techsavvy9 and mighty minions. A bit of an adventure finding the right Trail, but we got it in the end. Left Travel bug. TFTC
Out caching with techsavvy9 and 2pods today. The weather was perfect, and the company was great with lots of conversation and laughs. It took a bit to find the right access path, but it was a nice walk once we did, then a quick find at GZ by techsavvy9 . Thanks for the cache tnln replaced as found sl
The Northern Sydney Bug and Coin Exchange was transferred from The 2 Dogs to user Geocaching NSW
The second cache for today and this was my second attempt. I'm not sure why I've missed it the first time I was here about a year ago as it was in a very logical place.

After finding the nearby puzzle cache we continued our walk around to this cache. Initially GPSr had us down the hill, but after readjusting out level back up to the track we spotted some camo and thence the cache container. Thanks for the cache The 2 Dogs. grabbed a couple of TBs to move on.
The following TBs came through for the mileage : Vanlith The Youngling, Bob geoMinion, Dave geoMinion, Evil geoMinion, Larry geoMinion, Jerry geoMinion, Stuart geoMinion, teamMerlin's 7 Deadly Ducks Tag (Lust), teamMerlin's Football, Mary Hyde's Treasure, Hidden Creatures Geocoin TB, Merlin's Steed

Was riding past this cache today so I thought I would stop and check on it.

At first I took the hint too literal, but after expanding my search area I found it. Dropped off a TB but couldn't swap as there were no other TB's. TFTC!
C5Star and Dad found this after a few glass flags. Once we found the bottle top grotto, the suspicious rock nearby gave the find away.
We first looked at the wrong place, down from the footpath.
Then we read the old logs and returned to the footpath and found it near S33 41.674
E151 07.117.
There wasn't any TB in the can.

Wandered by late in the evening.
As noted by other finders, the GPS coordinated for this oldie didn't match what either my phone or GPS device were telling me.
Made a relatively quick find, of about 1000 bottle tops and shortly there after the cache container in some fading light.
Unfortunately there were no TBs present to trade, so I have just dipped one in. Will bring the next TB I find back to allow a future finder to perform a trade.

Looked where logically the himt mentioned . There were 2 spots both empty. Sending pic
Heading north to a funeral and so needed another break in Sydney. School traffic and a few dead ends meant it took longer to get here than I wanted and the when the nearby mint tin was being haunted by a bus waiter I looked on the map to work out where the access for this one was. Parked right at the start of the trail and a quiet walk to the cache. Read the notes, ignored the GPS and cache was quickly in hand (really where have you bin?). Took the two TBs that have been languishing for six months - they will have a good life. Raced back to the car for the final leg.

Had a quiet Saturday afternoon ahead and thought of going for a little walk somewhere bush in the Hornsby area. Then a notification of a new cache came through to email and while I wasn't able to scoot out for an FTF, the seed was planted in my mind: what if I did couple of caches???
This one was the last in the series of five which I had started in Asquith and gradually bush-bashed my way through to this side.
All good here. Took an "octopus" TB. TFTC, The 2 Dogs!

Completed TB swap as intended.

Needed one for today’s date and this looked like an easy walk. Cache found and TB from Bali dropped.
Picked this up on my way to work as I was looking for a specific clue to solve a mystery and I had a TB to drop off.
Coords were a bit off and I was a bit concerned about where I had to go looking, but a previous log set me straight, and I quickly had CIH.

OCW Oldmorty and yet another fire trail. The sound for of the M1 always present we soon found ourselves in the shadows of an industrial building and then a cache in hand. No TBS to be seen. TFTC!
OCW morty8888. After a slow down hill stroll along the fire trail we eventually reached GZ whereupon it wasn't long before morty8888 had the CIH. SL and returned it to its hidey hole. No TBs to be found today. TFTC
We were in the area and had about 30 minutes to spare, so we went looking and quickly found the cache. retrieved two TB's that were in the cache. TFTC.
Great little walk to the cashe, we had a big with us a bit to long witch we intended to take to the central coast but it's time to pass it on, this but wants to see the world! Help it move
Nice and easy walk to the cache.
The coordinates are off and no need to go bush bashing.
See the hint to find this cache.
We swapped some TBs.

Tftc. Lots of free (at least I thought it's free) parking along the Leighton place. Nice short hike to GZ and yes, also I followed the coordinates just to find nothing. As I was standing on wrong place, I checked older logs and found a hint for better GZ location. So the coords are a little bit off, there's no need to rumble up and down the hill. Bunch of trackables got some good mileage as I brought them here from Finland.

OCW the Bebes. Went for a walk to GZ and spotted the hiding spot. Hint is useful as coords were a little off on the phone. Dropped off a TB. Tftc

Found it after a little while.... Coordinates slightly off... On my phone anyway
Don't leave the track, found and swapped Tigger tracker for California tracker. Using phone GPS was a little inaccurate for actual location, look for the bottle tops.
The perfect geocache. Left a penquin travel bug (BPF3YK).... Poor thing spent way too long lost under one of our car seats. Glad to get him on his way again.
Was pleasantly surprised to see this part of Asquith as it's quite a spectacular deep valley, lovely bush. An easy walk along the track and an easy find, thanks The 2 Dogs.
Geo dog enjoyed it too although was a bit naughty trying to chase the brush turkey.

Visited with aramil on a camping trip. Special side trip here to drop a trackable that really wanted to be in sydney. Took 1, left 2.
Dropped two bugs off, one on its way to Sydney so yay for it! One collected and the other not found.
Coordinates and hit had is looking in the wrong spots but found it in the middle of the two in the end.

I had a doctors appointment in Hornsby today, so decided to grab a couple of caches while I was in the area. This was the 1st of 2 finds for today.
We had actually found this cache back in May, but at that time we weren't carrying any Trackables for swapping, so were unable to comply with the CO's requirements for claiming a find on the cache. It took us a while to find it, as the coords seem to be out by quite a margin, but got there in the end with CIH.
Returned today (operating in solo mode) armed with a Trackable for swapping, parking the geomobile at the start of the fire trail **(S33° 41.748 E151° 06.892)**, and then walking along the trail to GZ.
Opened the container and signed the logbook BUT was unable to do a Trackable swap as there are NO Trackables in the cache to swap (not even "The Noland Trail" which is in the cache's inventory). Clearly people are not complying with the cache requirements and are taking TB's without leaving TB's in their place, which makes it very difficult for those of us trying to do the right thing. Anyway I left my Trackable geocoin in the cache for the next cacher, who will hopefully "swap" rather than "take". TFTC The 2 Dogs.

My last cache for the day and I enjoyed a quiet walk through the bush. So many birds chirping near and far, red and blue finches chirping and erratically jumping from branch to ground, ground to branch. The smell of rain was refreshing after spending the day caching in the heat.
It took me a while to make this find. I resorted to reading logs, going over the hint a few times and checking photos and then it started raining! Finally after climbing a bit and rejoicing in not having to make my way down the steep slope, I had found the CIH!
I was disappointed to read in the description that logs will be deleted if you don’t have anything to exchange. I actually thought that was a bit harsh! I didn’t have a TB or Geocoin to exchange. I actually dropped one off last week. So I’m taking my chance at logging this find. I did however, take the two TBs in the cache. Sadly, The Nolan’s Trail TB wasn’t in there. TFTC!

Found this one whilst in berowra at my aunties, spent over an hour searching for this one as i struggles to find the right spot, once in the geozone took a while to finally locate the cache, TFTC
We found it a bit away from the posted coordinates. No travel bugs were located inside. Looks like people might have taken travel bugs without logging them and leaving any behind. We are leaving The Black Panther NVC2T1. It's been travelling with us for a while and time for someone else to find and have some adventures.
I stuffed up the nearby Mills park multi cache and ended up near here so I decided to get this one as well, so nothing to trade... tftc anyway
After coming down the M1 to tackle a mega-multi at Hornsby, Mumma-Kel and I took the opportunity to grab a few other unfounds in the area ... this was one of them. After a pleasant stroll along the trail from the very convenient entry point in Leighton Place, we arrived at an area that matched the hint (though not, as other finders have noted, at the given coords) and soon came across not just one but two bottle top collections. After a few quick pics were taken, we continued our search and quickly spied some tell tale hide camo. I always enjoy opening up a 10 year old log book (which is still in remarkably good condition) like we found here, and reading some of the logs of yesteryear when people actually wrote something other than their name and date in the book. How times have changed!
Thanks for this cache 2 Dogs, which it was a pleasure to find, and for keeping it alive a decade on.

I'd barely even noticed this TB hotel here before today...perhaps if I had I would have visited sooner... But regardless, today's cache mission brought Opa-shrek and I close enough that I was able to navigate us in its direction. A lovely stroll along the ridge behind the buildings was had, where we found the aforementioned bottle top collections shortly before spotting the cache. Always nice to find an oldie. Swapped a TB turtle for an item bitty dolphin more attuned to the size caches I find. Thanks for the fun and the cache!
Tftc, had recently picked up a trackable and used this as the opportunity to log the cache. Dropped off the oceantag and picked up Bremenhaven.
I've been working in this area for over 15 years but only just got around to visiting this cache. In what I thought was the most obvious spot was an amazing collection of bottle tops! From there I searched high and low, eventually ending up surprisingly close to where I started when I spied the cache's hiding place.
Took the "Dutch Wallaby" TB and dropped off "TB-Race: Come back to Wilhemshaven" that needs to return to Germany.
Thanks for the cache and TB exchange.

After a successful morning, couldn't resist the temptation to make another find especially if TBs are on offering. Having considered this cache previously but approaching it from totally the wrong direction, I started from a more sensible spot at the end of Stokes Ave. Easy trail to follow but I was temporarily thrown off "track" by GPS which suggested it should be in a spot where it wasn't. Thankfully the hint provided all the info that I needed and soon had CIH. Disappointed that there were no TBs. Reading through the logs it seems that these have been missing for a long time. I'm finding a lot of caches with inaccurate TB info. Is there any way to fix this? TFTC 2 Dogs.

TB "Happy Chicken" placed here, but I forgot to record the tracking number. Idiot!!!
Like a lot of others, I went down the hill, where the GPS was indicating. I had a fairly thorough search before nearly giving up.
Upon reading the description again, it dawned on me that I had been searching on the wrong side, and then the cache just about leapt out at me. I had been looking at it all the time without seeing it! TNLNSL TFTC
I also left TB"Happy Chicken", but can't record the drop because I forgot to record its tracking number. Idiot!!
Addendum. I've been contacted by the TB owner and been given the tracking number and can now officially drop off this "Happy Chicken". Happy travels, l'l chick!
Don't forget, she only wants to travel in Australia, New Zealand or Asia. ???????And she risks getting Asian Avian Flu??? I wouldn't go there if I were she!!!!!
P.S. to CO: There are no other TB's in the cache. You may want to record them as missing from your cache.

Came down here with the GeoSon while the GeoDaighter was at a nearby birthday party.
We took the easier looking very hard way but eventually got there.
Once at GZ the cache was found straight away and we swapped Green Turtle TB for the others in the cache to spread them west, took some photos with a very nice TB we picked up on the coast and then headed straight back to the car.
Thanks The 2 Dogs for the nice little cache.

Decided to head up north for a few caches this afternoon.
Managed to find all of them, including avenging a previous DNF.

Parked near the start of the trail, and walked behind all the buildings to GZ.
Once there, wasn't sure what side of the trail I should be on. Checked one side but couldn't see anything obvious - but for a 2 Dogs hide that means nothing.
Checked the other side. Soon spotted a location that looked promising. Checked it and had CIH.
I note that the lid of the cache is cracked, but the contents are all bone dry.
Completed signing duties and swapped trackables. Dropped off Canada's West Coast and grabbed PATIENT # 91 - Ruiha. Discovered the other TBs, Black penguin & Car - Drive My Car (TB Racer) in there as well.
Getting late, time to wander home for the day.
