Finally getting around to logging some caches. Been busy in Far SW Qld and China. Found the second time though the first time I was on the wrong side of GZ

Found late on the 16th. Had worked out the answers to the clues but the final coordinates of GZ had me mystified. checked with a recent finder and found out that two of my answers were not right. Changed the calculations and then went to GZ. found the spikey plant and the container. TNLNSL TFTC
Attempted this one a long time ago so it was nice to finally get back to T-Bar and have another go. It's always a lovely area to visit. TFTC
I tried this one ages ago with no luck so it was nice to cross it off the list!! My posterior was stabbed by a very sharp plant as I retrieved this and I was nursing a sore seat the rest of the day! That'll teach me to sit on a plant!
Had a lovely walk around the grounds, after finding the cache, I spent some extra time there looking around. TFTC.
Nice walk around. I have been here before, so I took some bread down so the kids could feed the ducks. There is no TB located in it at present. TFTC.
Did the work on this one ages ago.... It is marvellous to see how this area has developed from scrubby messy lands to what it is now!!
Found it at last, after third try.Water much lower than last time I was here.TNLN TFTC. What a challenge.
This one took a bit of thinking, and revisiting some of the previous clues to obtain the correct answer. Took me a while but was determined to get this one today as it is number 50 for me!
Thanks for making the old brain work.
Thanks for making the old brain work.
This one caused me a little bit of trouble. Took me about 1 to 1.5 hours. Narrowed down the puzzle answers to about three possible sets of coordinates (depending on interpretation of questions)and, once I realised a boat and scuba gear was probably not necessary, managed to locate the cache. I had expected the possible presence of a travel bug in the cache but there is no travel bug in this cache at the moment. TFTC!
Finally got the co-ords right after a long search and almost giving up! Didn't take long to find the cache once i was in the right location. TNLN SL TFTC
Finally after 3 goes and some help from a mate(not a geocacher) we found it. There was no travel bug in the cache.

Thought I would give it another go. Have done this again and spent another 2 hours, but still DNF. I hate to be beaten, but I seem to be heading off into nowhere with this one??
Found with geo-uncle lat&long junkie on our day caching in Toowoomba with lochb and Liz & Bruce. Enjoyable walk around looking at all our feathered friends. Thanks to everyone we came up with the correct answers and found the cache. TFTC
Great walk around the habitat with 'Bedmaker', 'lochb' and 'Liz&Bruce' for this one. Like so many others, we baulked at the first question (E). Without getting into a discussion of Robert Whittaker's five-kingdom system, we decided on the correct number. Things went well then until question F, where we had a discussion about when a step is or is not a stair. Apparently, we agreed with 'geographobiacs' on this one, because the next WP was the cache . I bet you guys get some e-mail about these questions . TN/LN/SL and had our photo taken by 'lochb'. Thanks for showing me this wonderful area.
With lat and long junkie, Bedmaker and lochb we followed the trail around this attractive area. There was some debate at a couple of spots on how to interpret the question/answer. Clue helped find the cache. Thanks geographobiacs
Answered all the questions. Well they seemed straight forward enough. Did the whole thing 3 times but found nothing. Do not like these ones as I have only found 1 out of 4 attempted so far. Some of the questions are a bit on the ambiguous side.
I do not mind putting in the time and effort if they are achievable without too much ambiguity at the end.

when is a top step not a top step?, argued with no.1 son about this, will try again later with rastus.
Had a lot of trouble with this one. Re-did the clues a couple of times, but the final co-ords kept pointing to the restricted area. Figuring that it was probably only 1 answer wrong, I searched along the latitude first, noticed a potential hide (about 100m from the location I got), and found the cache.
From the co-ords I measured at the cache, it was answer E and F that I had wrong, but I can't work out how these questions could be interpreted to give the results needed ???

I got to the third question and had two answers for each of the first two questions, couldn't work out if you meant the whole 400m of path or just the path at that point. With all the possibilities I wasn't really keen to spend hours on a DNF so I gave this one a miss for now.
Thanks anyway geographobiacs it was a nice area to visit.

A warm day, flies everywhere and waypoints that had me walking backwards and forwards everywhere. That being said, ended up pretty much standing on the cache. Not a lot of birdlife but at 1100 on a warm day you can't expect much

Thanks for the cache.
ps I thought most of the clues were ambiguous but thats the point isn't it?

Attempted this one a few weeks ago, still sick from nasty cold, trying to introduce some newbys to the game. We failed miserably - three questions answered incorrectly, and unsure about a fourth. Contacted the owners for help. Headed out today to introduce another person to caching, and we found it fairly quickly with the new coordinates.

Yeah! I quacked it this time
Such a nice area, so it was great to have another stroll around gathering the answers to the questions again
Everything made perfect sense as I progressed around the lake and took in the scenery and counted the different bird species I saw. Seventeen on this visit, but I am sure there are more hiding in here
TFTC and tour of the park.

It is amusing to see a few people say they had the same thing wrong, as did we. Unlike Rong, we have no morals, and decided to count the find, mainly because if we've driven to Toowoomba, we may as well have something to show for it. Again, our belief it is misleading.
@Mongy
We're not bothered if clues are misleading. WHat's important to us is - is the question and answer correct? Could a geocacher be reasonably expected to come up with the correct answer? In this case I'm sure the answer is "yes" to both. We're entitled to disagree though. That's fine. You might want to read the first definition in the site you mention.

One hates to be pedantic (well, actually, I don't, especially when it's over 30 degrees when doing caches), but like Rong, I feel that one of the clues is misleading. If you type the word into dictionary.com, the second line of definitions is one that I had remember learning at school.
Very good, some tricky questions, had us thinking for awhile

We have contacted the owners and have answered a tricky question incorrectly. Actually, it wasn't my fault as that question was answered by Mrs Ink.
We tried to do this cache. We came up with nothing. We checked and rechecked our figures. Contacted the owners and when given the vital clue We decided to not complete this cache as the clue is misleading.A big DNF.
We have been trying to find this one on and off for about 8 months so when we saw that it was back on line again we scratched around in our cache bag for our previous cache notes. We had located where the cache should have been under the bridge in the corner of the park but everytime we went to look for the cache it had been muggled. Now that the cache has been relocated and the maths has changed we quickly recalculated using the old numbers. Now we were confused as this lead us on a wild goose chase. [:o)] We refused to be beaten for the third time so by reading the clue and searching a few likely locations we came up with the cache.
We will contact the owners and compare notes.

Cache back on line. Good luck!
Edit: it published as yesterday's date?! (And yes I had the correct date in the box )

Cache has been relocated to a (quite) different location, due to muggling. Questions are the same, but the maths is slightly different.
G'day folks,
While logging a find on your own cache is a great way to boost your numbers, it is pretty much frowned upon by the rest of the community.
Maybe you would like to change your earlier 'Found It' to a note?
Cheers

Disabled until we can check the cache. Sounds like it's been muggled *again*. [:(!]
I'm glad it was a delightful spot, as it made up for not finding this cache and getting covered in cobblers pegs to boot. I had a great time admiring the gums and the cockatoos, geomum had a great time as she nearly died laughing watching me apparently feeling myself in an effort to rid myself of those dastardly prickles (thanks mum)and I even went back in a second time, so desperate was I to find it, but all to no avail. Ah well.
Tried this one first up this morning with no luck although we came out covered in cobblers pegs. Came back this afternoon on the way back to Brissy for a last ditch effort but still with the same result. Maybe another day!
Poleteck phone number doesn't appear to be there anymore....
Even when guessing this digit we couldn't find it
Anyone care to help - the kids want to find this one.

Second find for us newbies Has been a while since I had been to that park. Did not swap anything, as I forgot to grab the item I was going to swap before we left for the hunt. Oh well, signed the book, and put it back in its little hiding spot.

Back in the game! Hopefully this location will get muggled less! [:(!]
Thanks for everyone that showed interest, and apologies to those that were sent on a wild goose chase.

Looks like it might be time for the owner to check on this one.
We collected all the clues and calculated the cache coordinates and are sure that we have found the spot that the cache should be but.... no cache.
The clue fits but it ain't there!
We'll return after it has been checked.

have been to this one a couple of times.
Think this one may have been muggled.
Have checked the clue and still can't find it.

We visited this site on two separate occasions and are reasonably sure we have the answers to the clues right this time. Unfortunately, try as we might the cache was not to be found. There were plenty of birds though and many muggles enjoying the fine weather. Great spot but no luck!
The park was beautiful and quiet today in the fog
I enjoyed the stroll around and getting the answers to the sometimes sneaky questions [^]
But in the end I was unable to get GZ to settle down inside the park. Instead I ended up searching along a fence in the park on the other side of the road. The clue sort of fit in that location, but no cache
So I headed for another good hidey hole which seemed a very good spot to hide a cache. Alas the locals have turned it into a toilet and bottle dump, so searching there was called off pretty quickly
So back to the drawing board on this one...

Claim FTF.
Been watching this one since it was posted and waiting for someone else to claim but today was just too nice a day not to go for a stroll and see if the boys and I could solve it. Some nice brain teasers in the questions I feel
Lovely walk through here and well laid out to allow visitors to appreciate the spot - thanks geographobiacs for bringing us here.
Just a note about the cache container - it's a cliplock, not PVC tube
